The very last Alcatraz vs. the Evil Librarians book, Bastille vs. the Evil Librarians, is out and the series is finally done! This is co-written by Janci Patterson and Brandon Sanderson. It's been a long road since 2007 since these started, and we've never done an Alcatraz episode on the show just due to timing. So, what did we think of this conclusion? Stay tuned to find out.

The final Mistborn Era 2 book, The Lost metal, comes out November, and there's still so much to discuss on the previous book, The Bands of Mourning. Today, we are talking about the Southern Scadrians: their history, how they survived, their culture and religion, and then we discuss in depth the Sovereign's temple and the Bands themselves.
Time for something different: it's our first episode that we recorded in-person! This one happened in JordanCon 2022 this April, and we're talking about Shards and hypothesizing about Shard hybrids! Do you want an episode where we talk about just a SINGLE WoB? Yes, it's true, your dream--or nightmare--is here. This WoB had consumed many channels for weeks (including I think most of our staff channels) on Discord. There are such strong feelings that we needed a full episode to delve into it. Not only that, but also get insight into one of the most arcane pieces of lore in the cosmere, and it's kind of Eric's fault.
We are incredibly excited to have a special Shardcast where we got to talk to Janci Patterson, co-author of the Skyward Flight novellas: Sunreach, ReDawn, and Evershore! We talk to her about the process, Evershore, and a bit about future Skyward things she and Darci Cole will be working on after Defiant is out! She is completely lovely we had a blast chatting with her!
Evershore, the third and final Skyward Flight novella, has been out since December 28th, and so we have to talk about it! Let's see how this concluded the novella story. It stars Jorgen, and it was a delight.
