Unfortunately, she could do nothing except inspect, since she was out of chalk. She used her lantern to dash away the shadows, and once again looked for a piece of chalk. Perhaps there was still one on Joshua's body? She hated doing it, but she headed back to Joshua's grave. However, she was not alone. Something inhuman was hunched over the corpse. White light poured from the Rithmatist into the thing's maw, making it stronger somehow. As she shone the lantern, she realized this was no beast. It was one of the people from the camp, a body twisted into a feral state. It saw her with milky white eyes. Her lantern went out. And then, it was all over. Quinn0928 has died. She was a Rithmatist. Ashbringer he/him Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 No! Not only is Quinn dead, there's no Shadowblaze for me to take! It's possible Quinn got double-tapped. The Elims would probably know she was out of Chalk, and them going after Lantern holders would make some level of sense. Speaking of which, idea. One of the people who took the two lanterns at Night One, who isn't TJ, come out with or PM someone the Defense results. Then we can compare with TJ's later.

The Lantern is from Quinn. 2 Bribes have vanished [at least, one could have been added from the Map], we've regained several Spring Powered Crabs, a Clock [Assume the elims want this. They need us to not have it, so we must get it at all costs], and a Book of Silencing [which doesn't seem incredibly useful except as an elim method of terminating PM networks, so be on the watch for that]. They publicly had a Specialization and a Lantern making them a good C1 target, and then they were out of Chalk and thus couldn't protect themself.

At the same time, the Forgotten don't need to hoard—they just need to scare us into not taking helpful items or kill us to keep it out of Village hands. They don't need the clock—just to deny us use of it. Anyone who has things helpful to Village you wanna do other than Ward, might be a good time to get it out of your system. The longer this drags, the more Wild Chalkling strength accumulates and we'll need all the hands we can get on defense. No doubt when Elims will get bolder about hoarding.
