  1. My dad got me into the Cosmere at a pretty young age. I'd heard him talking about Mistborn several times before and thought it sounded cool. I remember not knowing they were connected when I started Mistborn, but I'm pretty sure he told me sometime while I was reading it, because I know I was aware of it before I read anything else by him. Honestly I don't remember much of my early Sanderson reading days, only that I'm a huge fan of that universe now. Despite not remembering the specific moment where I learned that it even was a universe.
  2. "Not....quite," Bookwyrm said, looking around. "We're just going to have to hop around until we find something familiar." He sighed. "Which might take a while."
  3. The more I think about Princess Mononoke the better it gets.

    Man that movie is good.

  4. "That might not even work," Bookwyrm said as he stretched out his senses. "I'm not recognizing the dimensions surrounding this one. It's like...it moved. I don't know where we are." He shivered in the cold air.
  5. "I think time passed. A lot of it. Somehow..." Bookwyrm trailed off as he realized something. His eyes widened. "Where's Saar?"
  6. Bookwyrm smiled. "Uh-huh." He slowly got to his feet, taking in his surroundings. He recognized the dome shape of the temple...the prison...where he last remembered being. The roof was broken and open to a grey sky, and the walls were cracked and ruined. Freezing air surrounded them and light snow fell from the sky. Outside the temple was a desolate tundra; no sign of the lush forest surrounding them when they'd entered. How long has it been? Time moved differently across the dimensions, but still... He held out his hand to Insa. "Come on. We need to figure out what happened."
  7. Nothing. And then darkness. Bookwyrm opened his eyes and found himself lying on the floor of a ruined temple. His whole body ached. There was a gap in his memory...and a sense of wrongness. Time had passed. Too much time. He groaned and sat up, looking around, and noticed Insa lying on the floor beside him. He reached out and shook her by the shoulder. "Insa," he said. "You awake?" @InfiniteInsanity

    Wait...was I not following you?

    Let's change that real quick...

  15. I'm desperate for book recommendations.

And for once I need fantasy, not sci-fi.

I need the grand, sweeping epic fantasy that everyone is talking about but I haven't read yet.

    Please help me.

Also, which book is Kaz Brekker (if that's his name...) from again? Everyone keeps talking about him...and so I'm curious.

Piranesi is so cute and so sweet and so...I cried. But I cry over everything.

"That everyone's talking about" immediately rules out anything I'd suggest. :P But, I'll give it a shot anyways: The Riyria Revelations by Michael J Sullivan. Medieval fantasy with a solid political conspiracy throughout and one of my favorite non-Brandon fantasy series.

I actually just re-read The Goose Girl (well, technically listened to it) because I was bored. It's a great book.

  17. So I'm apparently a pretty good shot with a shotgun.

    And a rifle.

Bookworms are surprisingly good shots once they get used to holding a weapon.

Makes sense that a dragon would be even better
