  1. "Valid." Bookwyrm looked at the sand. "Wait, sand?" He looked around. "Where are we?"
  2. "I'll be honest I still am not entirely sure what is happening here."
  3. "...Do you guys need help?" "...Case in point."
  4. Bookwyrm frowned. "Says who? And am I wrong?"
  5. Bookwyrm, who'd been standing by in bewilderment the whole time, finally spoke. "I think you've all gone crazy."
  6. @J. Magi The island towers over your small group, a majestic domineering hulk of stone and wildlife. As you near the beach, a rocky peninsula to your right obscures the view of the islands beyond. The main island is shrouded in mist and clouds, and even before you reach the shore the cacophony of wildlife can be easily heard. There aren't many sandy portions on this side of the island, but there are a few, one of which is the one you dock at. This portion of the island seems to slope up very quickly, but at least it's not sheer cliff. The jungle begins only feet from where the beach emerges from the ocean, the shade of it's leaves almost seeming to beckon you...
  7. Bread Edward.

    ...Breadward, if you will.

  8. I don't think it's safe to fully trust him. But I know we can't trust Saar. We might as well see what he has to say. The wave of guilt came back, stronger this time. He wondered if Insa felt it in his mind.
  9. He closed his eyes and opened his mind to Insa's letting her see his memories. His memories of the grassy field, of the mysterious temple, of the strange god, and...of the haunting, unknown void that just sat there before. With only glimpses of emotion peeking through, but not context with which to ground them.
  10. Bookwyrm hesitated. ...After that, I guess no, I shouldn't. But...it's true...can I show you?
  11. "Well...he called himself the God of Jealousy, but other than that I have no information."
  12. "I woke up in some world I'd never seen before on a strange stone pedistal...that's when I realized I had lost my memory. There was nothing but grass for miles, but I found a strange temple, and at the top, a god calling himself "Zelos". He...apparently knows Saar, and wants to give you a better offer." Bookwyrm held out the chip for Insa. "He said you would know how to use this."
  13. Bookwyrm wasn't sure what to say. A pang of guilt flashed through him. He wasn't sure if it showed on his face or not. The scar really was gone, though...at least there was that. Not that the problem was solved. "Okay. ...I think something has come up, though." He pulled out the green chip.
  14. Bookwyrm nodded back. Well...scud. His eyes narrowed. "What deal?"
  15. Bookwyrm sat down in a nearby chair. "I wish I could tell you," Bookwyrm said. "I...have no memory of the last few months. Only a general sense of urgency...Astwyr couldn't find me either."
  16. Bookwyrm blinked again. "I don't think so...wait." He hesitated and looked around the library. "Do you have any idea what happened to me?"

  18. "I...wish I knew. I don't remember."
