Platypus apologizes for the case of mistaken identity and Nameless drops the charges. He then sues the mysterious "I" for the same charges, getting the sandwich as recompense.

Bookwyrm sat under a tree and wondered if he could go get his old Shard back again.

As Platypus is walking by, he saw Bookwyrm and wondered who he was.

Bookwyrm spied Platypus and immediately grew defensive.

He's going to assume I have the sandwich, then try to attack me to get it. I don't even know where the sandwich is. Please, just leave me alone...

Platypus has the sandwich  

Seeing the being get defensive, Platypus waves and continues on his way.

I pop out of the ground and steal the sandwich. I hand it over to Bookwyrm in that sort of "here take this you can't say no" way and run off.

[Immortal Platypus]

I see Bookwyrm holding the sandwich, and think about tackling him. Instead I walk over and take the sandwich in that sort of "I'm taking this and you can't stop me" way and jump down Nerdy's hole.

I sneeze.

I sit down next to Bookwyrm and hand him a jar of root, humming merrily.

Bookwyrm sighs a sigh of relief as platypus takes the sandwich.

He awkwardly takes Telrao's root, stands up slowly, then vanishes.

I chase after Sequence and see Bookwyrm still by a tree. Realizing that I had taken the sandwich from him without even trying, which is not the purpose of the thread. I stop and hit him on the head with a lead pipe, then keep chasing Sequence.

I wave the Sandwich around tauntingly as I run, just barely out of Platypus's reach. I then drop though a hole in the ground and right into a submarine, which is sitting in a large cavern. It submerges and escapes through an underwater tunnel.

[Immortal Platypus]

I grab at my belt. "Relicanth, go!"

It drops into the water with me holding it. It swims after you and underwater I let out my Machamp to break into your submarine. I bring it back into its Pokeball and hop into the sub. I reclaim the sandwich. Then I ride Relicanth away while leaving you to deal with your submarine which is rapidly filling with water.

At a loss for ideas, I decide to detonate my sub's nuclear reactor. Needless to say, stuff blew up. Things died. M.A.D. ensued.

Did you die? I had Relicanth use Protect as I rode away.

I simply use the power of my superior TCG to claim the sandwich.
