“Don’t question the magic that makes socks always be single and marshmallows taste good.” I point at a fire moat. “Land outside of that. We need a game plan.”

"Can't we land inside it so that's one less thing we have to worry about?"

“But that’s more fun!” I sigh. “Okay, as long as we get flame throwers.”

I perform an eldritch ritual to summon some random Eldrazi to swap the real sandwich with the decoy that I have.

Suddenly, you are surrounded by my dragons. They have accepted your carriage into their flock. I wave from the top of the lead dragon.

a group of dragons isn't a flock, that would be disgraceful. it is a thunder of dragons.

"HI!" I yell to you. "Do you want to help us get the sandwich? We think it's between those two mouse castles."

It was a test to see how educated you are. You passed. 

“Okay!” I say agreeably. “Let’s do it! What’s a mouse castle?”

"I think it's a castle that mice inhabit, but it could be a castle shaped like a mouse."

The shadows reach through their connection to the dark side of everything and pull the sandwich back to them, just as they reach the atmosphere of the planet. Despite having no mass, they quickly reach terminal velocity and become what looks like a giant meteor. This was partially because they had wrapped themselves around the sandwich to protect it. They break the sound barrier just above the thunder of dragons and punch a hole strait through the dragon-carriage on their way down.

The carriage begins its descent. “Can we get the flamethrowers now? And yes, it’s a castle shaped like a mouse. So. Flamethrowers?”

I…are you aware that there are 20+ dragons here, all of whom can blow fire? Why do we need flamethrowers?

“Cuz what’s the use of landing INSIDE the fire moat if we can’t either cross a fire moat or have flamethrowers?”

“Oh. Good point. I think there’s some in the carriage!” 

[Bird Furious she/her/un/important]

“Perfect!” I rummage around and find five flamethrowers. “You want one?”

[Edema Rue she/her]

“Of course! Thanks for sharing!”

I hand Ta’veren a flamethrower and blew a spurt of fire in the air.

I grin at mine for a few minutes before realizing that I ought to use it. And so I do, giggling excitedly.

I grin too, having found a fellow pyro.

Finally, we reach the center room of the mouse castle, where the sandwich has awaited my return. BlowerUpper and I clink our flamethrowers together and walk towards it.
