The Battle for the Sandwich

I sit in the dragon carriage with a pouch of good Two Rivers tabac, contemplating life.

I keep driving the dragon carriage.

I sigh, as this thread seems like it will never get back to being what it's supposed to be. I then begin offering in-flight snacks.

[Immortal Platypus]

I take the sandwich as it is offered accidentally and shout, "Dragon at 4:00!!! Thanks for the sandwich." I almost take a bite and then think better of it. I'm not super hungry now, but I will be later. I save it for later.

“DRAGON? STOP! WE HAVE TO GO SAY HI!!”

[Immortal Platypus]

"I'm taking us down." I fly the dragon carriage down. The dragon thinks we are another dragon and feels threatened until I tell it in Draconic, "We are friends. HI!!"

However, I secretly sedated everyone with the in-flight snacks. This didn't work for Platypus, as he (Sorry if I misgendered you) didn't eat anything. However, he (?) is distracted enough by the dragon for me to knock him (?) out and hijack the dragon carriage. I fly alongside the dragon, who turns out to be none other than @Tani!

“HELLO DRAGON!” O dash out of the carriage. “I BROUGHT YOU A JEWELRY!!!” I hoist a chest full of gold and gems and set it down before the dragon. “IT IS SUCH AN HONOR TO BEHOLD YOU.”

@Ookla the Nerdy i am a he, good guess.

I only pretended to be knocked out and continue talking quietly with the other dragon hidden in the trees. It chooses to be a friend of @Ookla the BlowUpperOfStuff and me.

I use the power of playing an Ascendant Dragon Monk in my D&D campaign to also befriend both dragons. I also take the sandwich, since I forgot to do that in my last post.

You take a decoy. I laugh as you fly away with a decoy sandwich. I then realize that I don't have the real sandwich and blame the shadows. I convince my dragon friends to incinerate the shadows and give me the sandwich which they care nothing about.

I begin hatching a plan to travel backwards in time to the start of the thread so that I can have the sandwich before anyone else does. This would make me the person who starts the entire battle for the sandwich.

First, though, I hire some ninja aliens to go steal the present-time sandwich for me.

I tell you, "Time travel is broken permanently. You're welcome. It would destroy you if you tried it."

I finally wake up and say hi to my dragon friends. “We should go find the sandwich again,” I tell platypus. 

[Immortal Platypus]

Wait, should I call you Haly or BlowUpper?

"I guess we should. Lead the way. We can still be friends with these dragons though."

I’m Haly right now. BlowUpper is only here to be Ookla tyrant. She let me out of my gun safe for this.

”Yay! Dragons are great.” I wander around, then dig a hole and find a sandwich tracker. “Hey! We can use this. We need to travel east—a long way.”

[Immortal Platypus]

okay.

"How did it go east? We went southeast. I guess someone went farther east with it."

[Bird Furious she/her/un/important]

“Or it could be wrong.” I start walking and humming and looking for birds.

[Immortal Platypus]

I like birds. "I guess we follow it. To the dragon carriage!!!"

[Bird Furious she/her/un/important]

I grab a lot of grass and then follow. “I need some water. I’ll go look for water in the carriage.”

I wake up slowly, thinking that I must be dreaming. I am surrounded by dragons. They seem ready to eat me, and the other passengers, but I immediately begin telling them of their many virtues.

Once they eat everyone else, we begin tracking Haly/BlowerUpper and Questions/Platypus. I DON’T HATE DRAGONS!

I find some water, then pour a glass of it on my head. Then I return to the passenger part of the carriage, dripping wet. “That’s better.”

I say hi to @Ookla the Ta'veren (Aes sedai) and start driving us back to the sandwich.

I decide that I’m thirsty and go to get more water. Then I return. “Ten more miles! At least that’s my estimate.”

"Great. I'm so excited. 1 more minute is my estimate."
