The Battle for the Sandwich

I pick it up and hand it to Ta’veren with a grin. She makes a good partner. “You take care of it. I’ll burn the grass.” I switch on my flame thrower

I stick the sandwich in a backpack. “Thanks, but I can’t let you have all the fun!” I begin burning the chamber.

The shadows consume the fire, making it give off an anit-light that allows them to capture the sandwich and teleport with it to safety.

“HEY THATS NOT NICE!” I turn on my flamethrower and rekindle the flames. “That’s better.”

“Much better,” I agree, playing with the fire. “Should we follow him? We still have dragons and extra flamethrowers.”

I randomly pop in, with my powers of randomness having transformed me into a sentient tree with wings. "Or, you could use my powers as the Shard of Randomness! Just five clearmarks of Investiture each."

“Hmmm…” I turn to BlowerUpper. “Seems legit. Should we do it?”

[Bird Furious she/her/un/important]

“Sure! But… I don’t have any clearmarks.”

[NerdyAarakocra They/Them]

"You don't need clearmarks! Just give me the Investiture and I'll teleport you in no time!"

[Edema Rue she/her]

“Ah scud!” I search my pockets, coming up with a ball of lint, a small chunk of atium, and a soulstamp. “Will any of these work?”

[Szeth Pancakes he/they]

Meanwhile, Hoid takes the sandwich and cackles madly.
