You are seriously my bestest fren EVER and honestly the main reason I didn't let myself not come back to the Shard. Sure, the RPing is great and I definitely wanted to keep doing that, but it was probably you that I missed the most.

I probably forgot a lot of people and that makes me feel terrible. If you expected to be mentioned but you weren't, you probably were supposed to be mentioned and I'm a terrible idiot person.
I think it's very fitting that I happened to join the Shard on Independence Day cuz this place helped give me freedom. I was not exactly living my best life in quarantine and I was missing human interaction a lot, so it was incredible to find this fansite and find new amazing friends to talk to. So, thanks, guys!! Love you all!

"Sounds exciting." Audra grinned. "Plus, falling probably won't be the cause of my demise." She nodded to the massive wings on her back. "Y'know, flying and all."

Leina decided that she did not like latrine duty. It stank. Didn't matter if it was a noble's chamber pot or a servant's. Everyone's refuse stank. It also didn't give her any opportunities to talk to people, as no one really wanted to approach the girl carrying a bunch of crap. Not exactly the ideal job for the first day.

"Then maybe I am a professional. They wouldn't know unless I'd already been on a quest, and I can't go on a quest unless I'm pro." She stuck out her tongue at no one in particular with annoyance. "What about you? Have you been on a quest before?"

Leina chuckled. "How very...noble of them." She grinned and scampered off before the taskmaster could respond to her terrible pun.

Audra turned to look at the speaker. "Not for lack of trying. But all the campaigns I've approached in the past are 'professionals only.'" She rolled her eyes. "As if anyone could be a professional adventurer. Professional means you'd be prepared for everything. But if you're prepared for everything on an adventure, it can't really be an adventure anymore, can it?"

Leina bit her lip before a sarcastic response slipped out. She didn't want to get on the taskmaster's bad side on her first day. That could wait until tomorrow. Instead, she forced a smile onto her face. "Thanks! Where do I start?"

"The Artifacts, what do you think?" Audra snapped. "Sorry. I'm a bit on edge. And thirsting for adventure." She grinned. "I've heard most adventurers die on the quest."
