Ok, because I've been gone for... a while I guess a should probably answer a few questions.
Q. Where have you been?
A. Under the sea *music intensifies*
Q. Where have you actually been?
A. I got sick of you all and left.
SpoilerI'm kidding, you're all lovely people. I just kind of stopped getting on one day and lost interest, I dunno.
Q. Do you think you'll ever get get back on?
A. Probably not consistently. I used the Shard a lot during quarantine and now that most lockdown restrictions have eased and my life consists of more than online school and sleep, getting on consistently, or rather getting on at all, has been kind of difficult. But there are some things that I've been mulling over in my head for a forum post, so... Maybe sometime in the next week or two?
I get that me leaving was really sudden and abrupt, and I'm sorry, cause I left quite a few things hanging in the air. As established above, I doubt that I'll get on consistently from now on, but weirder things have happened.
So ye.
I'm back for all of 20 seconds. And also maybe sometime in the next little bit.

I mean, it's true.

that... got dark quickly
also, Fish, your statement says more about Sanderson than us

Two thoughts:
1. Ideas are powerful because they transcend the human body and precipitate action. So, it's no negative to suggest a series of ideas altered you in some way.
2. Regardless of the ideas being transmitted in fiction, if a work of fiction changed your life, it may be useful to physically engage the world a bit more and put those ideas into practice to test them out and see how much they really changed your life....or see if perhaps they merely offered you a new perspective.
They are quite entertaining books though, aren't they.

Hello Dawnsinger.

I like the blue better as well.

I think it depends on the character. IMO, character accessories should be used to express the character they belong to, either through contrast/comparison or similarity/belonging. For example, Dalinar with Oathbringer compared to Sadeas with Oathbringer: it just doesn't click with Sadeas, and seems kind of not wuite right at times for Dalinar, but perfect for the Blackthorn.
If you get my drift, that's great. Just a theory

A BOOOOK THEORY
THANKS FOR READING

I read this really quickly and was super confused why everyone was saying different things for a second I love it, how did you even come up with this?

That took me much too long to figure out.

Fish are gill-bearing aquatic craniate animals that lack limbs with digits. They form a sister group to the tunicates, together forming the olfactores. Included in this definition are the living hagfish, lampreys, and cartilaginous and bony fish as well as various extinct related groups.
The earliest organisms that can be classified as fish were soft-bodied chordates that first appeared during the Cambrian period. Although they lacked a true spine, they possessed notochords which allowed them to be more agile than their invertebrate counterparts. Fish would continue to evolve through the Paleozoic era, diversifying into a wide variety of forms. Many fish of the Paleozoic developed external armor that protected them from predators. The first fish with jaws appeared in the Silurian period, after which many (such as sharks) became formidable marine predators rather than just the prey of arthropods.
Most fish are ectothermic ("cold-blooded"), allowing their body temperatures to vary as ambient temperatures change, though some of the large active swimmers like white shark and tuna can hold a higher core temperature.[1][2]
Fish can communicate in their underwater environments through the use of acoustic communication. Acoustic communication in fish involves the transmission of acoustic signals from one individual of a species to another. The production of sounds as a means of communication among fish is most often used in the context of feeding, aggression or courtship behaviour.[3] The sounds emitted by fish can vary depending on the species and stimulus involved. They can produce either stridulatory sounds by moving components of the skeletal system, or can produce non-stridulatory sounds by manipulating specialized organs such as the swimbladder.[4]
Fish are abundant in most bodies of water. They can be found in nearly all aquatic environments, from high mountain streams (e.g., char and gudgeon) to the abyssal and even hadal depths of the deepest oceans (e.g., cusk-eels and snailfish), although no species has yet been documented in the deepest 25% of the ocean.[5] With 34,300 described species, fish exhibit greater species diversity than any other group of vertebrates.[6]
Fish are an important resource for humans worldwide, especially as food. Commercial and subsistence fishers hunt fish in wild fisheries or farm them in ponds or in cages in the ocean (in aquaculture). They are also caught by recreational fishers, kept as pets, raised by fishkeepers, and exhibited in public aquaria. Fish have had a role in culture through the ages, serving as deities, religious symbols, and as the subjects of art, books and movies.
Tetrapods emerged within lobe-finned fishes, so cladistically they are fish as well. However, traditionally fish are rendered paraphyletic by excluding the tetrapods (i.e., the amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals which all descended from within the same ancestry). Because in this manner the term "fish" is defined negatively as a paraphyletic group, it is not considered a formal taxonomic grouping in systematic biology, unless it is used in the cladistic sense, including tetrapods.[7][8] The traditional term pisces (also ichthyes) is considered a typological, but not a phylogenetic classification.
Apparently I have to do this sort of thing often, now that I'm a Rambleman and such...
