It's our Words of Brandon episode for our recent Brandon interview, where we talk about Brandon's thoughts on Wind and Truth, that big post-WaT talk, and a bunch of other things!

Today, we're talking about everyone's... well, okay maybe not everyone's favorite Wind and Truth character. But certainly one we got more of than I think we expected! It's Sigzil! We talk about his plotline here and also in Sunlit Man.

We have a very interesting Words of Brandon episode for you today. Last month, Brandon did an interview with Winter is Coming, and in the Reddit thread, Brandon elaborated about some of his intentions with Wind and Truth, and addressed some critiques of the book. We just had to responds to a lot of these thoughts!

It's been a while since we've had Brandon on Shardcast, and after the release of Wind and Truth, we are super excited to welcome him back. Brandon shares some of his thoughts about the perception of the book with us and was kind enough to answer (or RAFO) some spoilery questions we've been dying to ask!

Roshar'a Hoşgeldiniz! Welcome to Roshar! Thanks to the herculean efforts of Arda, we have updated the Interactive Map and Timeline of Roshar to include a Turkish translation! You can find Arda on Instagram and Reddit as cosmere_tr. The big Wind and Truth update is in its early stages of development.

Today we are talking about a huge part of Wind and Truth: Adolin's Azimir plotline! We talk about Adolin, the plotline at large, side characters, and trying not to get too much into mechanics (and failing).

There were some surprising, unexplained, and straight up weird things in Wind and Truth. Let's talk about them!

It's time to talk about the three Stormlight Lost Tales, the Storydeck stories that came out as card packs at Dragonsteel Nexus. The three are Elsecaller (the Jasnah story during Words of Radiance), King Lopen the First of Alethkar (Lopen and Elhokar at the ending of Words of Radiance), and The Chasmfriends Get a New Pet! (a noncanonical children's story). Dragonsteel later sold the cards separately, but are sold out now. But we hope you enjoy this episode anyway! Listen on to see what we thought of these stories.

Wind and Truth taught us plenty more about the history of Roshar and its inhabitants, so let's catch up to modern-ish times!

We've been asked about 17th Shard merch for years, and the time has finally come! That's right! Our online store is now open!  This has been a long time in the making, as we've explored a few different options over the last few years. We're keeping things simple at first with a focus on a few varieties of t-shirts and hoodies that feature some of our core brands: 17th Shard, Coppermind, Arcanum, and Diceborn.

We know everyone is excited for Wind and Truth, but is there honestly a better way to read a new Stormlight book than while wearing a cozy 17th Shard hoodie? And if you're searching for a soul mate, we can't promise a Coppermind shirt will help, but we can't say it won't help either. We've tested these out and we're pleased to share them with all of you! Wind and Truth is just around the corner, so this list features several Stormlight articles, as well as many other articles that need work. There are a variety of ways in which you can help, so we hope you’ll join in! Whether you’re new to editing the Coppermind or an experienced editor, we’d love your help! If you’re new to the Coppermind, don't worry; we’ll provide you with whatever guides and assistance you need. You don’t need any prior experience, just a willingness to help out!

If you were around a couple years ago, you may remember that we launched an application form for prospective moderators. Since then we've been keeping an eye on the responses while waiting for a good time to bring on new mods, and with the upcoming release of Wind and Truth we think that time is fast approaching! If you think you would be a good fit, please fill it out!

We're onto Edgedancer, the first Stormlight Archive novella! For this novella, we are changing up the format a bit, and doing just two episodes: one on reactions and characters, and the second on magic and the cosmere.
