If you're talking about my {adolin} it's the most natural way for a french to pronounce a foreign word that doesn't look significantly English or German.

I was using it to signify I was writing it in the international phonetic alphabet, but apparently I used the wrong kind of bracket and I was supposed to write it [a.do.lin] (the dots indicate a change of syllable)
