Why of course, yes. Keep the elims and the GM guessing.

You have been warned.

We were told not to use complaints for in game reasons.

And we're being told voting the GM out would be abusing the game (i.e. the game mechanics).

I feel like there might be a way to conclude that complaining the GM out would technically not be an abuse of the "game" because it's for "non-game" reasons because complaints are "technically not part of the game"

(Quotation marks are not to indicate verbatim responses, but rather for semantically doubled phrases)

I'm not saying we should remove the GM, just that if we're heeding the warning, then maybe it could be more specific than it appears.

I don't like the Szeth exe once again being brought up. Has there ever been a time when a blackout game got won by exe-ing the GM? Otherwise it's just a massive read herring distracting from actually useful discussion focussed on catching the elims.

Speaking of which, I want to finish my reads list.

archer

So, I already stated I don't like their continued focus on Szeth, and though it is accompanied by game-solving thoughts, I don't think trying to solve the role of the MG in the game has any real likelihood of helping to find the elims (hence my earlier smokescreen suspicions). However, their frustration does read as genuine, which is more villagery as someone with privileged info wouldn't be as likely to feel frustrated that way I think. Overall putting them in Neutral. Don't really feel like executing them right now, but don't read them as village either.

Unrelated to my read on you, @Archer, but I ran into this post by you:

What exactly did you mean by your PM with experience being closed now? Did you get like an official 'this PM is now closed' message or something like that?

JNV

I'm actually getting a slight gut village feel on JNV. They've been more active in thread than in my previous games with them, and seem to actually be looking at stuff like devotary's posts to solve the game. @JNV If you had to vote one of the players right now, who would you vote?

mark

Hmmm, I'm getting good vibes from them, they are trying to solve the game and seem focussed away from red herring. They're also old guard though, but I don't quite remember how scary they used to be. For now slight village lean, but keeping a close eye on them.

frustration

I disagree with their attention on Szeth, and their voting ahs been a bit odd, but their confusion seems genuine and feels like they're not in a doc with someone they can ask questions and advice from. Leaning village for now, but will keep an eye on.

STINK

very quiet, has yet to explain why they voted archer, should be able to do a bit better than this. Elim lean, mostly because I know they could be posting slightly more in-depth things, but I also realize that this isn't alignment indicative for them. Just, if they continue like this they will remain inscrutable, and some of the other people I put in Neutral should become clearer as the games goes on.

So my current suspects are STINK, Araris and Aeoryi. Putting my vote on Araris for now.

So are you suggesting an Archer/TKN team, or do you think Archer was merely trying to pocket TKN?

I think anyone doing reads who throws in really basically insubstantial reads is never good in my books

Like c'mon maybe you (the reader) feel confident having reads on everyone but uh it's D2 so you don't really do you

And also anyone who wants to kill the GM is from what I remember of my historical SE games generally not good but this is a blackout so maybe not who knows it's kinda not really a factor just something there kinda floating in the ether

Also also also lotta you peeps clearly don't care for my PMs I put effort into those you know

I think Aeoryi is a possible elim on the Exp train that I also think would have been killing to kill Devo.

I tentatively read Archer village. I feel like voting out the GM has been a loss condition in too many games to make that a safe play as an elim. And his post reads like the vote comes partly from frustration.

E!Mat works though, the motivation being to waste the exe on Szeth.

My vote on Mark was based on my gut last turn. I haven’t seen any posts from him that have changed that, so I’d consider him as an option today. Feel like he was too comfortable in the thread.

And I agree with STINK about reads, though I feel like those sorts of comments are easier to make as an elim than actual game solving.

I used the question of if my PM with XP is open as a proxy question for whether they are alive or we could speak to ghosts.

A lot of your reads seem based on you not liking kill the GM talk. Let it be known that I wasted a Complaint on it, so at least I'm committed to the bit. It's unlikely I'm lying about that too because I have zero trust the GM would accurately tell me the theoretical outcome of that action

Tbf I did vote for them later which is a good sign that the read was a weak one. Not a lot to go on with TKN, I challenge you to come up with a confident read that's more detailed. Being disconnected is either a sign of being evil or a sign of being village, flip a coin to decide

Like if it was cycle closes in two minutes vote a player or die probably Aeoryi just by virtue of like have you seen their posts and like I PMed them earlier and they were just like oh its anew playstyle and I dont know feels iffy but if I thought about it for more than two minutes like definitely not the sort of play Id expect of like second game evil even if theyre apparently pretty well read I guess part of the problem is no ones really made an impression on me beyond ooh nice PM partner so like I do kinda trust the people whove been upfront with me and well I kinda suspect Novel but I always suspect Novel and at this point I think itd be weirder if I didnt but I dont relaly know suspicion is hard

And Ill be really honest part of me suspects Szeth is Affected like theyre obviosuly psosessed and GM saying weird stuff so if we got enough traction Id kinda want to vote there but like thats not going to happen until we kill everyone else probably and like if it gets down to one player left and the GM the player wins that vote so its fine backburner project

Let's be honest, I have been playing very different. Very different. But you can't really say "Aeoryi is elim because the only other game they played they were village and played different".

If I was trying to get the village to vote Devo out D2 then why would I kill Devo N1??? That makes negative sense.

Hmm, makes me think it might be a good idea to complain at the GM? Or maybe even vote?

The feeling's mutual, mate. Idk why, I'm just trying to find anything, but everything feels NAI, so far.

Unless a GM lynch is specifically in some sort of win condition for someone. But yeah,  I think I agree I think it's more likely Archer's just curious (as a villager or as elim, could be either)

Anyone wanna complain at the GM? @Aeoryi?
