The Battle for the Sandwich

The Caterpillar rises. Aluminum safes give it new power. It hurtles through the air like a large striped torpedo, eventually reaching the sandwich. There, it climbs inside to sleep. (Hurtling through the air takes a great deal of energy, you know.)

[Immortal Platypus]

Platypus, having cleverly grabbed the Caterpillar to get to the sandwich fast, takes the sandwich and continues on his way.

[NerdyAarakocra They/Them]

It's now dinnertime, so I reserve a place for the lunch gang at an Italian restaurant. 

[AltonicKeys he/him]

I play soft piano music in the corner. This sets everyone into a manipulate-able mood.

It's twinkle twinkle little star on loop.

I notice @AltonicKeys and toss him a few spheres in appreciation of the piano music. I then realize that it's Keys, panic, and ask for him to not disrupt our much-awaited fancy dinner.

"I would not dare disrupt a restaurant, especially an Italian one." I nod in thanks for the currency I don't quite understand, and continue playing O-McDonald.

"I have arrived!" I announce. "Oh, wait. This is the wrong restaurant." I leave and arrive at the other, correct, restaurant. 

"Hi Nerdy," I say, sitting down at the table. I pull out the sandwich and pull the Caterpillar out of it. "This is @Aes Sedai now. Nice too see you again after the 35 pages from our last friendly meeting."

The Caterpillar grows a pair of arms and folds them crossly. No respect, it conveys. But dinner is good.

"Good evening, I will be your server today." I say, walking up to the table with a clipboard. "Can I get you guys started with a couple of drinks?"

“I want some chocolate milk, please. In a chalice, of course.”

I carefully hide the sandwich, recognizing Sequence under the outfit. It will probably be okay, but I've been waiting a long time for this. "I would like... some carbonated chocolate milk in a goblet. Thank you."

The souls of dead grasshoppers in a frisbee, the Caterpillar conveys.

"A full lemon for me," I call from the piano. Several keys are missing.

I drop a piano on your piano.

The resulting sound is not much worse than my own playing, so no one really cares. I pull out my accordion, which would be arguably worse, as I have never touched an accordion before.

I stroll over and give you an instrument that is enchanted so you can't play it poorly. Unless you're really good at playing bad.

The shadows sneak up in an incredibly bulky trenchcoat. they manage to take the sandwich from Cacophony.

I hire Hoid to play his flute, and as apology for not letting you play instruments anymore I give you the fake sandwich.

As I bring the beverages for the table, I use a small device hidden in my clipboard to shoot a microscopic tracker onto the Sandwich. "Are you ready to order?"
