  2. Oh wow that is so beautiful, sounds a lot easier to apply than gold leaf too! Ive been getting into calligraphy lately from being so inspired by artists on the 17s discord, it would be fun to experiment using this product along with the ink Oh also, here is Steris for "utility"

  3. Hot damnation! We have confirmation that the "Wisdom" Hoid was referring to is indeed a Shard. We also have a hint that Prudence" could be one (possibly the elusive "wants to survive" shard").

  4. How the ten orders go trick-or-treating: Windrunners: Makes sure nobody in their group is targeted by pranks, and that everyone gets their fair share of candy. Skybreakers: Left the group a while ago to chase off the Dustbringer and hasn’t come back. Probably lost them when they ran across the street without waiting for a green light. Dustbringers: Stole a bunch of other people’s candy and pranked them in life-endangering ways. Edgedancers: Giving most of their candy to others who need it, and relishing what they keep. The only one who approved of the Bondsmith’s idea. Truthwatchers: Already knows which places have good candy and which don’t, only goes to the good ones. Has therefore hit up less houses than most but has the best candy selection of them all. Lightweavers: Has the absolute best costume - or rather costumes, as they put on new ones to go to houses they’ve already been to again. Elsecallers: Has made a science of which houses to go to and knows every family intimately. Willshapers: Scoffs at everyone else for not having made it past their neighborhood in the first hour. They’re on the other side of the city, still collecting. Stonewards: Stayed home to hand out candy because someone had to do it (but is secretly hoarding the leftovers). Bondsmiths: Trying to keep everyone from wandering off, very annoyed that they failed in this. Asked everyone to give up their candy to a communal supply, so they could all eat from it.

  5. Voidus' eyes suddenly refocused. He realised he'd been lost in his reminiscence, who knew for how long. With such a skewed perception of time it wouldn't be difficult for him to become lost in memory for a year without noticing. But based on the state of the office it didn't seem to be that long, perhaps only a few minutes. Paperwork still awaited completion in a pile nearby, reports that needed to be viewed, requests that needed to be seen, experiments that needed to be conducted. The flood never seemed to cease. But that professor... what was the name again? Forgotten. Like so much else it's lost to time. Will I forget this too if I live long enough? Forget the city, the DA, Mac? He reluctantly pulled a sheet of paper towards himself, best not to get lost in thought again. Work would be something to do with his mind at least, something to stop his mental wandering. It was difficult but he forced his eyes to follow the writing, reading through the report in its entirety. Usually after having scanned it he would move on to the next, his intervention was rarely required, but on this report he stopped. The slightest of furrows formed at his brow as he reread the document. "Missing buildings? Just one could be a mistake, but this recurrence..." He tapped a pen against the desk as he read through the details, paying closer attention than he usually did with such reports. The fact that people were vanishing was nothing too concerning, people vanished every day in the city after all, but the possible implications of this were more troubling. If this was happening on a large scale then it could mean something was wrong, potentially very wrong. "I thought we'd finished that machine before Plasmacore had done any damage." Voidus said, still tapping his pen thoughtfully. "Could we have missed something? Something small that cascaded over time?" Time had a habit of causing problems. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ A long time ago, etc. A pair of wide eyes stared at Voidus, at the black substance that he seemed to be emitting. The eyes were a mix of confusion, incredulity and fear but it seemed that curiosity was what won out eventually. The owner of the eyes blinked and seemed to recover the mobility of his body, clearing his voice after a few failed at speaking he looked Voidus directly in the eyes. "What is that?" The Professor asked. Voidus gave a wide smile in response, holding both arms out to encompass the darkness that surrounded him. He seemed to almost fade into that darkness, to become one with the very concept itself. Darkness in human form, with a pair of grinning teeth. "That is nothing." Voidus replied. "Well, more specifically it's what you might call a void. The Void." The Professor just stared back in mute shock, unprepared for any of this explanation, unsure of how to react. Unsure if this was even real. He brought a hand up to his face, waving it around and staring at it as it moved. After a few repeated attempts at this he shook his head, either unsatisfied or realizing that it wouldn't prove anything. "The void?" He asked. "But what is it? Some kind of trick? Smoke?" He took a hesitant step forward, trying to examine where the darkness was coming from, what could possibly be causing it, but at the same time something primal in him told him to move back, move away. Curiosity and instinct warred with each other, leaving him paralyzed by indecision. But as Voidus continued to smile the fear seemed to win out this time and the Professor took a step back to where he had started. "Am I seeing things?" He asked. "Head trauma from the accident?" "Not quite." Voidus replied, still smiling. "Though I suppose in a way your 'accident' is the cause of all this. What you did in that moment is something few people rarely embrace, and those that do usually don't survive the experience." The Professor's eyes stared blankly back, confused. He didn't seem to understand what was happening, where this conversation was going or who exactly Voidus was. "This will take some time for you I'm sure." Voidus continued. "But in that moment you gained something, or access to something." All of a sudden the darkness vanished as though it had never been. The lighting returned to normal, that strange pressure vanished. Nothing was disturbed, and for a moment it seemed to the Professor as though the entire thing had been his imagination. But then Voidus held one hand out, palm upwards. And resting in that palm was just the faintest trail of some kind of dark thread, a thread that extended from the palm directly into the Professor's chest. "Voidmaking it's called." Voidus was staring intently now, eyes fixated on that tiny thread. "And if you're willing, I'd like to teach you a little more about it."

  6. The battle was almost over. What little Voidbringers remained were running off, and Rob let them. Why kill unnecessarily? They would be back for the next raid, he was sure, but they would be prepared. With a fort for a house, and with a joint team and more radiants than ever. But there were always exceptions. Case in point, the Voidbringer running towards Rob now. Jumping up, the Voidbringer aimed a kick at Rob’s chest, which he caught. The Voidbringer dropped to the floor, eyes glowing a faint shade of red. Rob had always found that most unnerving about them. The red eyes. The stronger they were, the redder the eyes, and the harsher the glow. Obviously, this Voidbringer didn’t seem to be able to conjure lightning. Jumping up with new speed Rob felt a pain in his chest when he realised the Voidbringer had stabbed him, the knife cruel and grey, contrasting with the red blood. Before the injuries could reach his heart he breathed in stormlight and grabbed the Voidbringer’s hand, locking them in place. Ripping out a piece of the Voidbringer’s cloth Rob channeled Tension through it, turning it razor sharp and stabbing into the enemy’s back arm. The Voidbringer met his glance with a hateful stare, breathing in voidlight and shimmering with that weird black anti-glow that came with it. Slowly their wounds began to heal too, dark blood receding back into the cut. They stayed like that for a while, locked by each other’s knives, unable to move. It was simply a matter of who could last more. And whereas the Voidbringer had only a couple spheres, Rob had a pouchful. The Voidbringer realised this and tried to escape but couldn’t. The two had gone far too deep into the lock. There was only one outcome. The Voidbringer struggled against the lock, hateful glance suddenly showing a hint of another emotion. Fear? Sadness? Rob wondered who it must have felt to know you would die and be unable to do anything about it. May you be free from whatever chains you, Rob thought as the Voidbringer struggled one last time, before their voidlight ran out and they went limp, crumpling onto the ground. Rob took out the knife and stepped back, looking at the sprawled out Voidbringer. And may whatever gives us our powers look favourably upon your soul.

  7. Today’s prompt is: 31. Alleycity So I know that it's not the 31st for everybody yet, but as I'm not sure if I can post once it is, I decided to do it now. I have to admit it's a work in progress, to finish the whole blanket will keep me occupied till spring I suppose, but the patchwork is (nearly) done.

  8. And this is where I disagree. It is a Vorin chart, made with in world knowledge. And yes, that is fallible. But it's a Vorin chart attempting to explain something that was once known. The symmetry may be Vorin symbolism but it's still showing something worthwhile. The same ten Surges, with altered symmetry to show a different expression. Same Surges, different output. Odium’s number isn't nine. Braize's is. If Voidbinding is a Rosharan (the planet) magic system, it would still be ten-centric. The glyphs have roots in the Dawnchant, which is a singer language, not human. Why does the number of Unmade matter when we've been told one of the Unmade themselves grants access to all ten Surges? To be fair though, I disagree with the basic premise because I don't believe the Fused powers we've seen are voidbinding.

  9. All this means is that the fabrials, even the non-obvious ones, work using the Surges. And, in my opinion, singer forms (regal forms included) and the spren bonds of the fauna are just organic fabrials. The part of the system that Fabrial magic expanded upon in the first place. I don't think that the old magic does, or should, count as a magic system. Whether it's Cultivation or the Nightwatcher acting, it's the direct action of a single entity. That's not so much a magic system as it is a manipulation of general realmatics by an entity of such potent Investiture it operates on its own rules.

  12. Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Shard Hunger Games! These will be played in rounds, with each new round replacing the Gamemakers and therefore what they affect. Anyone can volunteer to be a Gamemaker, a tribute, or a sponsor. You will be playing as yourself, not a character. (Ex.: I'm going to attack this person with a punch to the face.) If a month passes with no activity in the RP, the round is declared over, with all remaining players losing. Gamemakers decide what the arena contains, what items are within it (including tech level), and the challenges tributes will face and will roll the dice. There are three per game. Tributes are the people inside the arena, attempting to survive. As one, you will be able to take any action you wish (that follows the Shard’s guidelines), but with combat (or other things that can kill or hurt you) you will have to wait and see if you succeed. If a GM rolls a five or below, the action fails; higher than that and it works. For a lethal injury or fatal hit, if a ten or below is rolled, the action fails. You can’t perform multiple lethal attacks in a row. Sponsors can award gifts to tributes; a sponsor can sponsor multiple tributes, and a tribute can have multiple sponsors; if there aren't enough sponsors, a tribute may also go without one. A GM will roll the dice to see what you can give out each time, and you can roll four times per game. (A roll of 17-20 will let you send weaponry or medical equipment, 11-16 food or water, 6-10 useful tools, 3-5 other various items, and 1-2 nothing [which still uses up one of your rolls].) They can also communicate with their tribute two times, giving them information. This does not require a dice roll. Players: Be nice, have fun, and keep it PG13. Oh, and one last thing... May the odds be ever in your favor.

  13. Here is my take on Voidbinding. We know that Roshar is a very mathematical world (e.g. Julia set) and that spren are based on quantum mechanics. I assume here that, just like quantum field theory, Surgebinding and Voidbinding stem from basic principles: fundamental forces (Surges), symmetry and symmetry breaking. General overview I believe that Voidbinding is actually a fairly simple magic system based on 9 Surges and powered by Voidlight. It may, however, seem confusing because of several factors: A. Humans and Singers bond with Voidspren in a different way B. The Everstorm changed how Voidlight is obtained C. Voidbinding chart (TWoK rear endsheet) is an in–universe document and is not 100% reliable D. We actually see four different types of Voidbinders: Full Voidbinders – nine orders of the Fused, each with a full access to one Surge with two aspects: normal and corrupted Half–Voidbinders – the Regals, bonded to Voidspren, with access to one aspect of a Voidish Surge, normal or corrupted Half–Voidbinders, Half–Surgebinders – nine orders of Knight Radiants bonded to corrupted spren, with access to one Surgebinding Surge and a corrupted aspect of a Voidish Surge. Use Stormlight rather than Voidlight Humans (and probably Singers) bonded with the Unmade (effects vary depending on the Unmade) Voidish Surges Voidbinding is based on 9 Surges (Odium's number). Which Surge is missing? Progression. As described here, Voidlight does not provide the same healing abilities as Stormlight. What is more, each Voidish Surge has two aspects: normal, similar to their Surgebinding counterpart, and corrupted. For example, the Voidish Surge of Illumination comes in two variants: one akin to Lightweaving (“Smokeform for hiding and slipping between men. A form of power, like human Surges.”) and future sight (“Nightform predicting what will be, The form of shadows, mind to forsee.”), which have separate Forms of Power. Decayform seems to have access to a corrupted version of Division, able to destroy minds and break people (“Decayform destroys the souls of dreams.”), while Envoyform accesses Adhesion in a way similar to Bondsmiths (Spiritual Adhesion). I don't think we have enough information to tell exactly what kind of Surge Stormform uses (Transportation maybe, since they can summon the Everstorm from Braize). This version of Voidish Surges also works well on symbolical level: evil is sterile and can only imperfectly copy and twist what already exists (look at Re–Shephir or hemalurgy). As for the Fused, we know that they only have access to one Surge, and we only see the normal aspect of it. It would be very strange however, if Voidish Illumination Fused would be denied future sight when literally every other type of Voidbinder/Voidspren (Regals, Enlightened spren and Unmade) can have this ability. It's hard to tell if all the Unmade abilities count as Surges, but I believe they provide a tenth level of Voidbinding described by Khriss. Voidlight access I believe that every Voidspren is a conduit to Odium and has their own, restricted pool of Voidlight. Regals bonded to basic Voidspren have access to some abilities (Venli's Sipitual Adhesion in Envoyform, shooting lightning by Stormform) that seem to work without external source of Investiture. To achieve something more, however, either greater numbers (summoning the Everstorm) or external Voidlight is needed. The latter used to be provided by the Unmade (that's why it was said that Voidbinding originated with them), but with the Everstorm situation changed and now Voidlight is much more accessible. The Fused have more internal Voidlight than basic Voidspren, but much of it is probably used to maintain their life (situation similar to the Returned on Nalthis). Odium threatens Turash with removing this internal source of Investiture during the Battle of Thaylen Field. As a result of their particular status, the Fused rely on external Voidlight more than any other Voidbinders. Voidspren bond For humans, bonding with any Voidspren relies on specific mindset and environment (e.g. competition/battle for Nergaoul, death for Moelach) and is, by its very nature, temporary. If that wasn't the case, Moash/Vyre would probably bonded with a Voidspren already instead of relying on Jezrien's Honorblade. Unmade, such as Nergaoul, affect people's minds and can facilitate bonding with lesser Voidspren (another argument why Voidbinding originates with them). Because Singers have gemhearts and Forms of Power affect their emotional state, the bond is permanent. Humans can imitate this by swallowing a gemstone, like Amaram did, but it's very destructive. Corrupted spren We know Sja-anat always had the ability to corrupt lesser spren, probably by modifying their spiritweb. Given her willingness to defect from Odium and lack of malice observed in Glys, I don't think her recent ability to corrupt true spren is of Odium. Sja-anat was probably uncorrupted by Cultivation as a source of new agents to fight Odium, particularly those who (like Renarin) can interfere with his future sight. It would explain why Stormlight is used in this case rather han Voidlight. Each corrupted spren one Surgebinding Surge and a corrupted aspect of a Voidish Surge. Now, let's look at the Nahel bond table here. Truthwatchers have a corrupted version of Illumination (second Surge). Second Surge is also corrupted in the next four Knight Radiant orders. There are no corrupted Bondsmiths (you cannot corrupt a godspren), and then we go back to the beginning of the table – orders from Windrunners to Edgedancers have a corrupted first Surge. This way, nine KR orders can be mapped to nine orders of the Fused (by sharing the same corrupted Surge). Nine orders of the Fused can be then mapped (with some fuzziness) to the nine Unmade – that's why there's no Unmade corresponding to Bondsmiths, even though the left out Surge is Progression (which both Truthwatchers and Edgedances have in uncorrupted form). Also, we have 5 KR orders with a corrupted second Surge and 4 K orders with a corrupted first surge – and this kind of broken anti-symmetry would be considered unholy by Vorin standards. The Voidbinding chart (TWoK rear endsheet) seems to be an in–universe attempt to understand Voidbinding (an essentially asymmetrical magic system) in symmetrical, Vorin terms (a reason why modified glyphs are used) – that's why both Bondsmiths and corrupted version of Progression are present there, even though they shouldn't be.

  14. The only one of these that is really a difference is the ability to see the physical. And that is a matter of the nature of the world's Cognitive realms. The rest... Kel being able to run on the mist. Seeing the souls of people dying... Those were both a difference in Kelsier, not the place. Hoid needed a "boat" to not sink in the mist. And... If Kelsier had a Physical aspect at the time, things would have been different.

  15. The Cognitive Realm is not always consistent across worlds so what you see on one will not necessarily be the case on another. For example, the land/water inversion is not a universal trait:

I would say that it would be easier for him to say the Words on days of moderate intelligence and higher empathy; on days where he is more intelligent, maybe a Voidspren bond would be more suitable for him then. Umm, hey @KandraAllomancer! Could you re-post your comment on this version of the topic? OP appears to have accidentally double-posted, and two people have already commented on this side... I've copied your comment here so you don't have to go hunting for it: Interesting observations, @KandraAllomancer! @GoWibble don't cross-post Definitely a RAFO Can you put the WoB that says that T's spiritweb is changed? @Pathfinder said: Both Dalinar and Lift have received modifications from Cultivation. Depending on how you view them, Lift's would be more so than Dalinar's, yet both have bonded spren without issue. I agree, his variable intelligence would make it difficult for him to maintain a bond, unless the spren is a bit more liberal in interpretation. Not sure if there would be a resonance that would grow from that interaction as his greatly increased intelligence is rare. Hey, Pathfinder! I copied your comment here, could you repost it here? OP double posted the topic. @TheBlueTaco, just go to the other page, click Moderate, click Hide, give reason "accidentally double-posted" and it's done! No need to wait for a mod. I can also copy the comments here over to the other one, if you want to keep that one, rather than this one. @The traveller, that's double-posting too...

You can paint with it just in suspension with water (but you need to coat with fixative after it dries or it can rub off). Some samples of what it looks like are spoiled below.

  20. You aren't getting it from the Nightwatcher. YoU are getting it from Brightriot . The curse doesn't have to be separate , it can be two facets of the same thing. Like how my lifeless Koloss armies are both my boon and my bane. The aluminum might protect you from nicking yourself. But it won't stop the cognitive translation of the spiritual realm from saturating your mind. It doesn't travel in waves like soothing or rioting which I guess work when they hit you on your brain. Aluminum hats are ok for that. But when you are wielding Brightriot , you have a physical connection with it through your arm. Hats won't work but gloves might. Huh. But wait you are also connected spiritually right. That's why it can feed on your investiture but I guess aluminum gloves would break that too. Hmm ok but if you wear aluminum Brightriot will automatically decide you are evil. Yeah about the grammar I should write properly. I'm gonna write like in a exam or interview and get kicked out or something. I will try to rein in the impulse to break Grammer.

  21. Vivica's eyes lit up when she saw the coffee machine, and she beamed at Grey. Bennington seemed to share her enthusiasm, swimming three quick loops around Grey's head before floating back down near Vivica's left shoulder. Grey was one of the few denizens who could actually see Bennington - probably due to his telepathy. And he was always so polite. Bennington may have been a hallucination, but that didn't mean he didn't have feelings. Some people had even tried to tell Vivica that Bennington wasn't even real. That was just plain rude. She let out a little squeak of joy, then looked back at Sierra. The young woman had gone rather stiff, looking from Vivica to Grey to the coffee maker with increasing levels of alarm. It was probably the prospect of drinking literally the best coffee ever. Surely, it couldn't be Vivica that had Sierra alarmed. She looked toward Grey, thinking. The man's face was a bit unorthodox, she supposed, covered as it was in grey tentacles. But his one red eye was just so full of character - it couldn't be him. Vivica gently prodded the girl in through the doorway, then shut the door behind them before darting across the breakroom floor. "This is gonna knock your socks off," she said, preparing the coffee in the machine and setting out two cups. Bennington floated above the machine hopefully, but Vivica gave him a little shake of the head. "No, Bennington. Don't you remember the last time you tried coffee? I'm not going looking for you again. There's only so many imaginary Alleys a girl can walk through before she goes crazy! Do you want me to go crazy, Bennington?" She looked over her shoulder with a sheepish grin. "Sorry about him," she said apologetically, then gestured towards Sierra. "Grey, this is Sierra. I found her in one of the outer Alleys - I think she was stabbing someone." Vivica shrugged. "Anyway, I really owe you one, Grey. I think I might be able to make it up to you though. I had the best biscotti idea. I think it could really take this coffee to a whole new level of immersive experience." Vivica poured one cup of coffee, then handed it to Sierra before filling one for herself. She noticed that Grey already had a cup. The lucky duck, in here all day long with this thing. Clever, too. I bet he has to sleep almost as little as I do! @Shard of Thought @Snipexe

You should be glad; that means I'm actually spending time and giving you quality artwork. Because I love my craft. Yesterday's prompt was "Ride" and I couldn't think of anything but a handerfle; they ride Tom's ship of course, and in Fallen, they give AJ and Thought a ride to that ship. And what better handerfle to do than Ralvon himself? What a fascinating charcater... I used a new technique on the wings, I think it paid off, wouldn't ya say?

  28. For the longest time before OB, I really hoped that Taravangian would become. Rival Bondsmith. (I still kind of hope for that, but I really doubt it.) Personally, my biggest concern, and why a think any spren would be wary even if he did qualify for their order, is that I think his changing mental state would be problematic for his ability to sustain his oaths. He's very very different people between his high and low days, and expecting both to maintain the same oaths seems like a stretch to me.

  29. @StanLemon Exactly. Why would Odium's magic be symmetrical (it's specifically Vorin symbolism)? Why would it use glyphs (even if modified), which predate Odium's arrival and are associated with the Heralds and Knights Radiant? Why ten Surges, if Odium's number is nine? Why Bondsmiths, when there's no Unmade associated with them? It's all nicely explained if we assume that the chart is an in-universe document - an attempt (not 100% correct) to understand Voidbinding using Surgebinding framework.

  30. @Karger For the record, I don't think she's fully uncorrupted. But she's gained more free will and her abilities changed, which I attribute to Cultivation's influence (it definitely fits her modus operandi). Sja-anat still mostly consists of Odium's Investiture and he can definitely compel her to obey in most situations.

But for me, I think Tarachin Superstar has to be the best because it means that like Lightsong you are an expert in thinking like a sphere, circularly. xD @PrinceGenocide Hopefully this has encouraged you to reread Warbreaker, or Alice Arneson's reread, or skimming one or the other.

How she landed herself into all this mess with the slum bosses, she did not know and how to get out of it, she could not understand... This city as beautiful as it was on the outside, was as dangerous on the streets.. Just then, she saw the thief running away with the purse.. Could she catch him, help the girl? She doubted it. 34. I thought it was clear that Mor had pulled some sort of special protocol that E wasn't aware of but they clearly were, a bit like sleepers Yeah, I do remember that, but I wasn't clear on if that was some deeper protocol the techs were blindly following, or if they were actually planted to help DM cause chaos. Mor's task is just to cause massive chaos. What I need to do is add a thread with a ticking clock for finding TT. That is something that is missing although it's set up at the beginning in Creston, when it's clear that is what Mor will do, but then it drops out of sight. Like @industrialistDragon, I think just "causing chaos" is not really cutting it as a motivation. DM's done that. Why is he still here? At this point anything else he does just drops more breadcrumbs back to him. I did like the throwaway line about him resenting Q because of what he did to J. If you expanded this, if might bring DM and Q into more conflict, and give DM more reason to keep messing things up.

  35. Stormlight is gaseous physical realm state of Investiture. Investiture is a third state. Matter/energy/Investiture. As such its functioning under slightly different rules than you'd expect. We've seen all three forms of one type of Investiture exist in very similar circumstance. Mistborn spoilers So stormlight isn't going to have a temperature point at which it condenses to liquid. It's not actually matter. It's Investiture behaving like matter. A liquid for of it would be super concentrated, more so than a solid one. Investiture has its own rules. Energy and matter don't behave the same ways, and neither does it.

  36. This does not mean that anything has changed at all. When Venli glows, there's no smoke rising from her skin. It's very possible her bond, as a singer, will be different. I think the reason Timbre communicates through the rhythms is that she's less firmly anchored in the Physical because of Venli's nature. I also think that there will be a tease-off where perhaps Venli doesn't leak (as there's no smoke) but she doesn't get a shardblade at all. It's far to soon to tell. Yes, that's exactly what I think. The singers being "forbidden" works on more levels than is obvious. If the spren themselves had sworn not to bond with singers, they would be bound by that oath. They literally could not choose a singer. Timbre did not live pre-recreance. It's very possible she did not live while Honor lived. So now, when spren are bonding again, you have younger spren who never knew Honor, and may not be bound to not bond with singers in the first place. Venli's bond is "special" only in that it's the first. I don't think it will be the last, or that there are any special conditions that must be met. They've always had an option other than Odium. The listeners ancestors clearly knew that.

  37. And I don't think her drawing in stormlight is any different than with the humans. She can do it because she has a Nahel bond. I don't see what the form has to do with it at all. Especially as she's in a form that she only still has because Timbre has enslaved the voidspren in her gemheart.

  38. The "Identity" in that "Connection and Identity" is much more figurative than most of the uses we see. Identity as a Spiritual trait is not personality.

  39. Hahahaha! I've been for that theory myself for quite a while. Cultivation is closer to Ruin's entropy than Preservation's stasis. But it most likely is Autonomy or both Odium and Autonomy. Too many hints: from Bleeder's statements about freedom from Harmony, to the use of the word 'Trell', to the newspaper clippings "vote for passion! vote for freedom!"

  40. Hailey reaches the junction just ahead. She stood there looking back at the girl and the thief, she could not help herself.. she saw another girl approach them, the stylish one looked like she was getting upset now.. This is going to be interesting.. She settled down to see what unfolded just as a sailor fella joined them.

  42. Yes I think they are seeing the death rattled. It not telling them to the silent gatherers.. which must show a unique level of self awareness and ability to assert said awareness even under the influence of the unmade..

  43. For "Dark" the obvious choice was the Queen of Shadows herself! I think this drawing really shows my progress, considering I'd never worked with ink until this month. The reflections in her hair on on her waist look super cool. I also think it's worthwhile to mention that I used her star pendant on "Legend" too. Thought it was a pretty cool way to connect her to Star.

  45. Lift: Takes handfuls of bread during the sacrament, intentional sings the song wrong during the primary program, and runs around the chapel until someone stops her. Her primary teachers have no idea what to do with her. Lopen: Not a member, but goes to all the youth activities because he thinks they're fun. Rock: The bestest primary teacher ever! Always wins the ward chili-cook-off. Elohkar: President of his quorum despite the fact that he has no leadership skills whatsoever. Wayne: He only sometimes comes to church, and only in erratic unpredictable patterns. Sometimes he will bear a great testimony, and other times he will simply belch into the microphone or something like that. No one can decide if he is faithful or not, and nobody knows what to think of him.

  46. That looks so cool! Well done! The Rosharan system looks really crowded though and umm... very bright and colorful. Its not the Sanbox's fault though, ten gas giants is too many!

  47. Here's Tom Joebob for today's prompt "Build." My little brother says he looks like Abraham Lincoln and I can't deny that he might be right. Not my best work, certainly, but it turned out better than I expected.

  48. Because it's a magic system tied to Roshar, and the numbers are tied to the planets, not the Shards themselves.
