I would like to point out some of the absolutely insane advantages TLR has. His emotional Allomancy is strong enough to affect thousands of people simultaneously with a general Soothing, who knows how strong it really is if he tries. Brandon has said that he has training as a warrior A thousand years of experience in his own right. And unlike the Heralds, he didn't spend centuries at a time of it trapped and tortured. Though he probably didn't do much personally in the latter half of that millennia Wax with the Bands, was able to casually, accidentally even, Push a boulder off of him by the trace minerals in it and then proceeded to blow a hole out of a stone wall. TLR almost certainly can Push/Pull on a Blade. I've already brought up the insane advantage of F-Steel. Sazed was able to with Iron and Pewter hold a fortification against an army of monsters with superhuman strength. Wax was able to think of just about every possibility of a situation in the space between saying one word and the next. Gold Feruchemy on at least the level of Miles Superhuman senses, capable of hearing a persons heartbeat from across the room for example Atium, and he might even keep Duralumin and Electrum on him too And there are others but this is getting kind of long. I personally think that the concept of anyone beating TLR without superb trickery or outside help is far far less likely than a Mistborn beating a 4th Ideal Radiant.

Good point, though I would still argue that because they have enough Investure to not be pulled to the Beyond that they are probably not Soulcastable. I do very much agree that Nightblood would be a threat to TLR (assuming the wielder could actually hit him) especially after what happened in RoW.

TLR wins. Rips off the head before his enemy can even think. Besides, we don't know anything about what the Heralds were actually able to do. Any argument beyond the limits we have seen of Surges power and combat capabilities are nothing but pure conjecture. A Herald might, and that is a very big might, be able to Soulcast his Metalminds but that would first require them to even know that he gets his power from them, and they wouldn't be able to Soulcast him as RoW showed us that Slivers have enough innate Investure to freaking sate Nightblood. Steelrunning is faster than anything else we've seen, especially at Compounded levels as Marasi was able to move fast enough to leave vacuums. There is very little that can defend against that. As a side note: Brandon says a lot of things are technically possible but he has elaborated on just because he says something is possible in a WoB doesn't mean it is feasible.

I agree that it is possible, but only in the strictest definition. I doubt any Radiant would be capable of it unless they were somehow being powered directly by a Shard like Vin was. Probably would still be very difficult as I imagine Soulcasting would prove even harder than Pushing/Pulling. Technically possible? I'd say yes, but not possible in any practical sense

I disagree on that. Cultivation seems like a good middle ground between those two. To cultivate something, you need to preserve the desirable parts and remove the undesirable.

Congrats on your first post This is a good analysis of Mr T and I agree with you that he might very well be the most arrogant character in the Cosmere. He constantly thinks that he knows the right thing to do despite being proven wrong over and over again.

This would also fit well with the surprise that the Stormfather and Odium had with Dalinar opening a Perpendicularity in Oathbringer

Raboneil: How the Inverse Elsecaller Upended the War
StanLemon replied to Karger's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think her mistakes and scientific flaws come down mostly to not really having a scientific peer. Very intelligent people in real life have progressed work off wrong assumptions which were found to be wrong after the fact by others. Navani has centuries of scholar studies to draw on with peer reviews and later studies whereas Raboneil was mostly on her own without much to bounce ideas off of. We've only seen two Singers with scientific mindsets so far. Even in Urithiru it didn't seem like Raboneil had anyone working with her other than Navani. -
If you could be twinborn (or compounder) what metals would you choose?
StanLemon replied to The Titan God's topic in Mistborn
Gold compounder even when accounting for the cost of gold. Perfect health and recovering from anything. From a more affordable option though, I would likely go A-Pewter and F-Gold -
The color of Cultivation

I think considering the fact that it's still considered a Mistborn series, that it will start with a Scadrial based focus and points of view but that after more and more other worlds show up it will start portraying points of view from other Shardworlds

My list I would recommend is this. Though I might adjust it when making recommendations to someone new based on their interests. Mistborn Era 1 Warbreaker Mistborn Era 2 Secret History Stormlight 1 Stormlight 2 Edgedancer Stormlight 3 Dawnshard Stormlight 4 Elantris Rest of Arcanum Unbound White Sand

Keep in mind, the equations can be flipped as well. Time elapsed is equal to distance x speed. Remember that in the Cosmere there is a Cognitive aspect to everything and concepts like speed have tangible meanings. Brandon has answered whether or not it is a time manipulation effect and his answer is that there is a slight temporal effect but that it isn't as much as people think. It's part of the power that let's people use the speed. What steel stores...is speed.

We were on the verge of greatness, we were this close.

It's a minor one but Feruchemical Brass and Electrum. -
I was simply pointing out that the color of Voidlight is represented in visions of him as well, not just the golden light

I can understand where you are coming from. But here is another way to look at it. You see someone doing something self destructive and will endanger more people than just themselves as well. Do you just sit back and wait for them to choose the better option or do you get involved to save not just them but others as well? Even though Dalinar strong armed the Stormfather, the Stormfather could have denied it if he truly wanted to. As for the Sibling, it was like if there was just one person who could save everyone was mortally wounded and they had the option of just letting themselves die or letting the person they don't like very much save them so that they could save everyone else.
-
People complain about the Sibling being strong armed to bond by the circumstances. The thing is, Dalinar strong armed the Stormfather as well. Both Bondsmith spren have bonded people not because they wanted to but because it was necessary and for the Stormfather at least, it has proven beneficial for him

When Dalinar was given a glimps of Odium's true nature, he described it as a violet fire. So violet is shown in visions of Odium as well.

Skybreakers can be a little valid, as a treat.
StanLemon replied to Could Be Fire's topic in Stormlight Archive
My personal biggest issue with the modern Skybreakers is that they seem to be shifting responsibility from themselves. Nale abusing the law to kill Radiants is a perfect example of this and he even admits to the hypocrisy. Following and enforcing the law don't equate to justice.- 48 replies

Adonalsium intentionally got Shattered so that Beavernalsium can rise

I agree that I would have preferred Rlain bond the Sibling. I don't have so much an issue with Navani becoming a Radiant but I think it would have been better storytelling and character development had it been Rlain

We'll have to agree to disagree on this. I doubt Radiants glow bright enough to hurt a Mistborn's eyes considering they would use Tin even during the day. And I don't think that simply hitting a Radiant hard with something would be too strenuous on the Mistborn with Pewter as there were scenes where Kel and Vin put themselves at the focal point of much greater stresses and could still fight after. But again, we'll have to agree to disagree.
