  1. I think there is a WoB somewhere hinting that his bones were used as part of bringing him back. My personal hypothesis is that they had a mistwraith eat his bones then used the spike to attach his soul to it
  2. This is a good question. While wob imply that Steel and Iron are based on mass rather than weight and if that is indeed true then the Surge of gravitation theoretically wouldn't have any effect on pushes and pulls. A thing so counterintuitive that I doubt we'll see it in the books unless Brandon explicitly wants to play with it. My guess is that it will be actually treated as the weight determining it. And if that is the case I'm sure there are plenty of fun interactions that can happen.
  3. I disliked Lift in her first appearance but she has grown on me and I like her quite a lot now
  4. It wouldn't be magnetic in the physical sense, as has been pointed out there are too many inconsistencies for it to be that to be the case. For any kind of magnetism analog, it would be a spiritual magnetism associated with Connection.
  5. One thing to keep in consideration, the Scadrian Perpendicularity is implied to be in Malwish territory. If this is the case, it would explain why the Malwish are more widespread and influential than the Basin to the Cosmere at large as they have easier access to travel.
  6. I find it interesting how Endowment says that Valor doesn't want to see him when Sazed's letter says that Valor does want to
  7. It's Endowment, she's the only one who starts her letters with Dearest Cephandrius and she talks about giving blessings to Nalthis
  8. Based on Honor's comments, I'm assuming it's significant increased usage of the Full usage and strength of their two Surges
  9. I'm not sure that's what they meant. People used to a high oxygen environment going to a low oxygen environment typically need time to adjust, especially if they are going to do physical activities and get winded easier than people who are used to those environments. This is pretty common, Think about people who are used to sea level who get tired easily when visiting a high elevation place
  10. Counterpoint, Retribution is trying to hide from the other Shards and not actively monitoring Roshar
  11. They do, the Set uses them in TLM I can only really see this working at Urithiru. Reverse Lashings are pretty Investiture expensive even for smaller items Possibly. It's been implied that Dalinar’s displays of superhuman strength were because of Tension I wish we had more information on Silver. It's got some purification aspect to it but who knows how it might react with other Investiture Scadrial has been preparing for a cold war and a potential civil war. My guess, a lot of artillery. The Heavenly Ones might be able to do that assumingthey can be accurateat dropping boulders while staying out of rifle range, but the Focused Ones almost certainly can't out range artillery I agree with this. Unless Scadrial wants to start making Koloss en mass, I don't think Hemalurgy will be very effective in this war Kandra are good at picking up nuance and adaptingto expected behavior, and if they can get some Medallions that would solve the communication issue. Though admittedly they probably wouldn't be too helpful in the short term
  12. Brandon hasn't canonized it in a book yet, but he has said that aluminum interferes with Investiture based healing
  13. Two issues with this, aluminum bullets and unless the battle is specifically happening on Roshar, limited Investiture
  14. Sigzil seems to think that it's because of the Voidlight. I'm sure some of the stopping power is from density, but it's doubtful it's enough to stop anything more than low caliber bullets And on the subject of nukes, sure they don't have literal nukes but they do have WMDs South Scadrial had bombs decades before the events of Era 2 that were capable of destroying the city of Elendel. Hoid makes a whole point in RoW about how antiquated war tactics of Roshar are inferior to modern technology. The only hope Roshar had is their vastly larger manpower and Fuzed. But those numbers might not even mean much when a single bomb can obliterate thousands of Rosharan soldiers
  15. This is the implication from the text. The Blade lost it's supernatural sharpness because the leather straps were too Invested. So the Blade had no more effect that it would against leather armor, something guns are quite good at penetrating
  16. On the Scadrial nuke subject. Even ignoring the Trellium part, Bands of Morning showed that So Scadrial has city destroying bombs already
  17. No, I don't think that applies for him. It's not that he's changing his values, but that he is trying to uphold values on others that he refuses to uphold himself to. Had he started changing his tune after saving Karbaranth that would be one thing however he still wanted to force Dalinar to do something that he himself wouldn't do
  18. Yeah, Taravangian is one of if not the biggest hypocrits in the Cosmere. He spent a whole lot of time dumping on Jasnah, and then tried to force Dalinar to do the thing he himself wasn't willing to do. Frankly, Taravangian's lies were centerfold as soon as he chose to continue the war after taking up Odium
  19. I think Dalinar is truly gone, but I think there is the possibility that there will be a psuedo revival where Adolin, Renarin, Navani, Jasnah, and other people's memories of Dalinar influence the Blackthorne
  20. I don't think they are using distinct Surges, but they do have some abilities beyond Surgebinding. Ishar had near Atium abilities, Nale and Taln both showed superhuman speed. And Taln showed superhuman strength, dexterity, and reaction time
  21. This is why I made the grouping I did in the previous page. As the sense of improvement didn't seem to line up with Ruin. Grouping for reference
