Basically I didn't know what to do for it, so I attempted to do pretty much everything! I would have done nothing, but I couldn't bring myself to do that considering I had done pretty much nothing for my 100th, 200th, 300th, 400th, 500th, 666th, 777th, 800th, 900th, and 999th. I wanted to do something. The Gratitudes I first joined in November of 2019, and the day after I joined I posted "I guess this is hello," where I said hello to the Shard. And I'd like to thank @Nameless (who has the right to call himself the 0first), @Honorless, and @Aon Tia for being among the first to greet me on the Shard. A thank you to some of the friends I've made, where most of these are in RPs I'm in, including but not limited to: @Vapor, @Ookla the Hemalurgic Pinto, @Channelknight Fadran, @Condensation, @The Ward's Guard, @ProfetessaOscura, @Negative_Null, @EmiTheNinja, @Matrim's Dice, @AmazingGoob, @Isabelle6060, @The Awakened Salad, @Chasmgoat, @Trutharchivist, @JesterLavorre, @Tesh (and Kaladin), and maybe some more. And my computer is being very weird right now so I will add @theTruthshaper and @Darkfinder! I would also like to thank every person who is taking the time to read this right now! Thanks everyone for being so very welcoming and friendly on the Shard! The Story of Ookla the Knight As many of you may know, my account was recently taken over by some strange creature called Ookla the Knight. It was a very scary time for me because I did not know if I would be able to defeat Ookla the Knight and claim my account back, but on 12 December, 2020 I announced to the world that I had finally defeated him. And so I thought for my 1,000th post I'd finally tell you all the tale of what happened on the day itself, in storytime mode... Spoiler I, the Knight of Iron, in the early hours on 12 December, 2020, wore Iron armor on the day I was to take back my kingdom. The other Knights of Metal didn’t get along very well, but their hatred towards me seems to be the only thing that unified them. They had hatched numerous schemes to overthrow my kingdom, all of which had failed miserably. They knew they would have to march their own armies against me if they actually wanted to take me out. And so about a month earlier, they had created Ookla the Knight. Each of the enemy Knights had contributed some of their Chosen Metal to create a type of… golem, if you will, surging with power. They brought their robotic knight to life and trained it to take my castle. I had never expected it, of course, and so was caught off guard when the Ookla had smashed himself through my walls and challenged me to a duel for the crown, in the name of the other Knights of Metal. I approached the castle, ready to rematch the Ookla, and my own guards stopped me. “Who goes there?” one cried, leveling a spear at my neck. “Your true Knight,” I stated, and watched as their faces changed to awe. “You survived… you came back!” she whispered. “I thought you were dead!” “I have come to take back the kingdom and either die at the hands of this Ookla, or banish it once and for all. Stand out of my way, and do not impede my path.” I didn’t have much trouble getting the rest of the way in, as anyone who stopped me quickly realized who I was and cheered me on. The news would spread quickly throughout the town that their Knight would reclaim the land. I hoped I wouldn’t let them down. I shoved the massive doors open into my throne room. The Ookla was waiting for me, a 7-foot-tall dark green suit of armor brought to life, carrying a wicked long silver sword. It sat not on the throne, but stood in the center of the room, sword at hand, as if it had been waiting a long time. “I’ve been waiting a long time for this,” said the Ookla in a deep gravelly voice, followed by a fit of coughing. “I’ve come to reclaim my throne,” I announced. The Ookla tilted its head slightly, as if it were amused. “And you’ll fight me for it?” “Yes,” I answered, then drew my sword. Crafted from his Chosen Metal, Iron, it had an enchanting shimmer to it. “Then a battle we shall have,” said the Ookla, “But not like last time.” It flipped its sword upside down so that the hilt was pointed up and the blade was pointed down. “A battle like the ancients did,” came the voice, “I was trained well in this regard, as I’m sure you have been as well.” “Like… the ancients? You don’t mean…” “A rap battle.” I was a little surprised, but this certainly was not unexpected. Every Knight had the right to battle in this honorable way. “Very well,” I said, and flipped my sword in the same way. “Perhaps I should–“ But the Ookla interrupted me, and the battle begun. Spoiler Introducing the Ookla, you’re about go down This should be quite easy, gonna kick ya outta town As I’m sure you’ve noticed, I got the style that you’ll never have Don’t need to squint or focus, I know you’ve got no better half All of you is ugly, you pretty much just miss the mark I see you, buddy, crying after this remark Heh, now, you’re a baby? The fearsome Knight of Iron? Think my words are true, maybe? Here some lighter fire, I’ll burn down your castle, won’t see the light of day Wouldn't be a hassle, it'll be destroyed by today Everything you loved, Knight, I will now destroy Everything in one night, will be gone, sweet boy Not just the property, but also your friends The depths of all poverty got nothing on this 'Cuz your friends on the Shard, ha, they don’t know you If they knew how bad you’re scarred, wouldn’t hesitate to throw you You’re a fake, oh, sire, just some words on a screen You’re a snake and a liar, an ugly nerd since you were a tween. As was ancient custom, once the Ookla had finished, it held out its sword and dropped, letting it clatter to the floor. That expressionless helmet somehow reflecting his pride. I glared at him and, I responded. Spoiler Oh, Ookla the Knight, how long since you’ve last been cleaned? You take over my profile, and that’s what you have gleaned? You’re my enemy’s creation, you never were a real man Makes sense you wouldn’t get it, you’re literally a steel man I’m ugly? What, are you talking about my acne? All that proves is your insecurity, attack me Your words do nothing, for I know that they’re all lies And provoking me further would really not be wise My friends on the Shard, they are just the best In fact, to them, I will always be in debt With their power by my side, there is no way you could ever Actually end up killing me, you think you’re so clever The Ookla shook its head slightly, my words doing nothing to it. I needed to take it further, and so I continued a slow, final verse. I summon the power of My final card I take on their support, I know that Life, it is hard These last months, I’ve known them Be vanquished, silly Ookla, by the Seventeenth Shard Vapor, Ene, Xino, Truth, and also Stick TA, Connie, Jester, Hen, and my friend Fritz Fadran, Demo, Emi, Goat, and LeckyTwig Luna, Bearer, Tia, Rev, and, of course, Mist Salad and Scarlet, Taken, Nameless Ghander and Starborn, Star, Goob, Truthless Dark, Wind, and Mat, Spock, Tesh, Honorless And don’t forget everyone that I have prolly missed. I dropped my sword to the floor, smiling. The moment it hit the floor the Ookla crumbled to dust. The day had come, and the Ookla had been defeated. I had won, and the kingdom was mine again. The Knights of Metal were going to have send more than an Ookla the next time around. RP Art As I've mentioned to some of you before, I have always kind of wanted to be an artist, but I use my keyboard, mouse, and Paint to do it. Well, no longer! Now I have YouTube tutorials, practice, and a computer draw pad thing. But I don't know how to use it well yet, and so Paint I shall still use! In the future I plan to do better drawings, but for now, you may now deal with these. Some of my roleplay characters. Spoiler Introducing Cruz, from Siren's Call. As the salesman he is at heart, of course. But he doesn't have that same expression when he's greeting his customers. Introducing Orpheus, from Let's Go Find A Dragon. Memes @Truthless of Shinovar requested memes and so I have made a few and whatnot, pretty self-explanatory this one. I will join Salad and say it is, indeed, fun RPing with you (I enjoyed the Worldbuilding part more, but I guess it's just me being me). Are the other Knights of Metal only of the Allomantic metals, or of every metal in the periodic table? And do they hate you so much only because you are the ruler right now?
