Er... do we have an hour left or 2 minutes left? Am I done for?

My main reason for voting Ash is on Page 1, but then Flying books started up.

Do you have any response to my response to your reasons?

I can answer... some of this. The main reason I stuck on Turtle was less information and more that I thought that Reading was also a Hemalurgist. That would have explained the “doc slip”. Also, he and Turtle were going back and forth a bit about how many Hemalurgists there were, and Reading was very underguessing the actual number. That can be an Elim tell to over/under “estimate” the number of Elims, and I figured it could be a similar tell to Hemalurgist.

And if we were going to lynch a Hemalurgist either way, I decided Turtle would show more information on Condensation and you, in addition to vote info. Reading wouldn’t tell us much beyond votes, as he wasn’t active enough.

I was also much more keen to stay on a lynch instead of backing away entirely, but that’s mostly besides the point.

As for why I suspected Reading of being a Hemalurgist, I tried to explain it to Illwei here: (Above Quote)

Essentially, the main reason people were lynching Reading was for saying "doc" once instead of "thread", which people took as a slip referring to the Elim doc. I was wondering if it was instead a slip referring to the Hemalurgist doc, as I feel like Village Hemalurgists would be less cautious with such things in their posts as Elims would normally be. Then looking back to day one, Reading was talking a lot with Turtle (and retrospectively, others like Condensation, another claimed Hemalurgist, and Illwei, who's... I don't even know) about the Hemalurgists, how they should act, how much the HI was a thread, and especially how many Hemalurgists there actually were. I don't know if the number was supposed to be general knowledge to those outside the Hemalurgist doc, but Reading was guessing 3-4 versus the real 6. That's been taken as Elimmy to estimate the number of Elims early, and I thought it would be... Hemalurg-gy to underestimate the number of Hemalurgists.

Your main reason was me staying on Turtle because I thought Reading was a Hemalurgist, right?

to which I responded:

Voting for a claimed hemalurgist who has been backed by multiple people over someone who you think could possibly might be isn't very good reasoning.

or at least I thought I said that. Can't find the post now...

... you know, that sounds familiar, but I can't find it either.

I really wasn't sure what to make of that claim. Turtle having backup was good. That backup being you and Condensation was less good, because of everything that happened around D2 I was fairly sure one of Turtle or Connie was Elim. I still don't really trust Connie, and while I think you're still village I have... questions. Most of which could be hypothetically addressed in our PM if I don't die.

And at that point, Turtle claiming Hemalurgist felt like a... cop-out, almost? It's a reason not to kill someone, but it's not a defense of prior actions. Turtle didn't really do much of anything to explain the chaos that happened after she claimed Hemalurgist, and the fact she was one only made her prior actions handling your claim stranger. Meanwhile Reading being a Hemalurgist explained away, to me, most of the reasons he was suspected.

In retrospect it's probably not the strongest idea, but there's a lot of things in retrospect that we couldn't have known.

Agh! I-

My reasoning isn't good on Ash, and people hopped on anyways.

The reasoning isn't very good on Books either, and people hopped on that!

Someone get on and help me! Ash is tempting me to the dark side with a promise of a PM! help!

Well, there's not much time left in the cycle...

Uh...

Who's even left to change the vote to? There's so many people who've made a post or less this cycle, and we've exhausted all our past lynch candidates... except Elk, I guess.

I trust TJ - he's less active, but everything he's said makes some level of sense. He's a good analyzer.

Vapor... I haven't seen her doing much of anything AI. She's just kind of floating on the edges.

Aman's legitimately not on the Shard, Silber's being Silber.

Mist is still a possible HI.

Wind's made a single post this round. Windrunner Supreme may have only done one as well. Experience is also quiet.

I guess it's up to the Feruchemist now...

Faleast scrambled through the contents of his quarters. The Mechanics Group had bought his story about sabotage at first, but then someone had found the markings of an explosion of Investiture at the site. Markings quite similar to the bomb that had killed Orchid and Turtle. Combined with the discovery that he'd been the only one even near the first blast site when it had happened... many were suspicious of him for creating the blast and self-reporting it, so that the finding of the second would appear as a pattern. Which was technically true.

Footsteps thudded through the corridor, racing toward his room. Okay, maybe a bit more than suspicious.

Dagger - check. Investiture Node - check. A few library books from Sel - check. The Drive -

Faleast blinked. The Drive wouldn't be useful to him. He had its data inscribed in copper now. But leaving it could prove disastrous.

He grabbed it and shoved the assorted items into various places in his skin. A pounding started on his door. "We know you're in there!" a voice shouted over the general hubub of a flash mob.

How exactly is one supposed to respond to that? AraRaash's voice sounded. "Okay, here I am! Come and repeatedly impale me with pitchforks!"

Faleast rolled his eyes. "Give me a second," he said, double checking everything. Okay. He could manage with what he had in his person.

The pounding, of course, got louder. Faleast walked toward the door, taking one last look at his little-

Something caught his eye.

And he had an idea.

* * *

This is the worst possible idea you could have come up with, AraRaash grumbled as Faleast was marched down the hallway towards the bow of the ship, where the acting captain made most of their decisions about treason while the former captain - still captain? Lifeless captain? - steered.

The crowd was filled with crew members - some mechanics, some Mistings, and somewhere in there an Elantrian or two. Maybe even a Mistborn.

Faleast walked up onto their stage, where they would be expected to give their defense in front of the cold darkness of space.

But Faleast said simply, "I have a problem".

Blank stares.

"I have a... rather unusual problem. One that only the most knowledgeable could solve. I joined this mission knowing the best of the best would be onboard to help, and that they could help me," he continued. That was partially true. The fact he'd travelled through time and not space to get here... that was a minor detail.

"So I was quite surprised to discover that no one could solve my problem. Not the best healers, the best historians; no one... except for one. The smartest being to ever grace a world besides the Shards themselves."

He smiled at the crowd, boiling for a victory after so much defeat. And he laughed.

"And in exchange for the Hemalurgic Intelligence's help, I did him a... small favor. I broke one of his chains."

The mob paused. Then they realized what he meant - what he'd done - and rushed forward.

But Faleast was too fast. He slammed his elbows back, flaring red and shattering the pane of glass behind him.

And out he fell into space, laughing all the way.

* * *

Faleast was An Impostor.

How many Impostors remain?

Okay so I'm going to, in no particularlar order:

 1) Be proud of myself because I had a post ready to send, switching from Ash to Books, but I never sent it.
 2) Be suspicious of everyone on Books
 3) Be Slightly suspicious of Araris
 4) Drink My hot chocolate
 5) Ask is anyone wants to roleclaim to me :P.
 6) get myself a string cheese stick

For once we agree. I think I’m most suspicious of TJ Shade, they definitely started the Books bandwagon. And Araris’s reasoning last cycle didn’t sit well with me.

Although I guess it is a possibility that Books is Elim too and Ash was trying to bus.

I'm mostly suspicious of Araris based on ...MR...LG?...MR. MR...uh....the one where he bussed a teammate...the MR after LG69 I think, because then I died in the MR and LG70? eh, who knows. anyways- I need to look back at them

I- That's definitely a Possibility, but I'm not going to think about that quite yet. (I'm also not going to go around, shouting "books locktown" either though :P.)

Ok. That went well. I have a feeling that shade is also elim because of this, but I need to go and do some analysis to back that up.

So I'm suspicious for lynching 2 villagers, and I'm also suspicious for lynching an elim? What does a guy have to do to not be suspicious? :P

I've definitely done this before, but I actually meant to post, and just missed cycle end, for the better it turned out.

Yeah! One elim gone. Im sorry I couldent post last cycle, I had a lot to do. Can anyone take a guess at how many villagers their are compared to elims? My guess would probably be around 11 - 4??

I'm thinking that there might be 4 or 5 Elims left yeah, but you're forgetting the HI, so it's 10/9 not 11/10

Hey, if you're the Elantrian that saved me two? nights ago you should PM me!

Also the Feruchemist!

And whoever killed Turtle!

Hey!

Everyone just go on and Roleclaim to me! Yeah!
