Okay! Remember that aunt I keep talking about? She's on Words of Radiance now (almost there)! I texted her today to catch up, and here's what she said:

 

 

YKYASFW you must console your aunt about Jasnah's death. It's a good thing I wasn't talking to her in person. I'm not sure I could have kept a straight face.

P.S. For anyone who doesn't know, I introduced my aunt to the cosmere back in December. Here's a little bit of background:

Might I add that this was within 60 seconds. She is currently reading Hero of Ages, although the last time I talked with her she was on The Well of Ascension, so she’s moving a lot quicker than I anticipated. The first book I introduced her to was Elantris, and she loved that one too. 

It's been quite the adventure . I can't wait to explain the Cosmere to her...

That was me reading WoR. I kinda knew it was Shallan's book, but I got really excited with Jasnah's prologue and thought we would get some of her flashbacks. There was so much there: the Elsecallers, the reverse shadow, "Liss" the assassin, inkspren...

And then she DIED.

And then she UN-DIED.

And then I learned that JASNAH'S FLASHBACK BOOK IS BOOK EIGHT.

I remember there was a r/BrandonSanderson thread where someone reading through Mistborn predicted that Vin would shoot someone important with her earring.

The comments were essentially 90% “Well, we don’t want to Ruin it for you...”

Yeah, when Yomen’s interrogating her. Marsh comes to “collect” her and the atium Ruin thinks Yomen has. Vin steals a vial from Marsh to get her metals back, shoots her earring through his skull, Marsh heals with Feruchemy, then Vin draws on the mists for the second time.

Vin didn’t so much “escape” as Yomen realized Marsh was using him as she was fighting him off, and the two were semi-allied from there AIRC.
