Burnt Spaghetti she/her Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Do i need the rupees from completing my streak of maxing cycles? Probably not if im going to die soon. But hey. Its like Duolingo - as soon as you break your streak, firstly there's going to be an angry owl, but secondly its harder to restart. So one more rp post --- Cindra smiled as Thistle offered the pepper. She really did have a plant for everything. "Thank you. Cooked on skewers sounds absolutely amazing. I'll try save some for that. " She took a small nibble of the pepper. It certainly helped a little, though flavour wise was a bit much on its own, but the heat certainly helped her not notice the chill as much. She knew that they needed to get somewhere, but also, its night. And its cold. And where they are going is cold. Its just going to be cold. She didn't know where they would be resting this night, but its only going to get colder. Maybe they'll have somewhere to stay like they did at the deku palace. But tonight... Looking ahead at the road, she only saw sleeping on the road in her future unless they never stop moving. She saw Amora approach Thistle. Cindra was glad to see Thistle had so many people surrounding and keeping an eye on her, in all that was going on, it relieved her to see the care the survivors had for each other. She remembered more clearly now the final day and thistles struggles. They needed Thistle. And they needed her to be okay. 1

I see the ratio arguments for why it might be good for the village that the Blast Mask and Postman both die, but I think it's outweighed by the fact that this gambit loses us one of the most powerful anti-elim masks we have access to. I'm not saying people shouldn't be making the most of your PMs, but maybe we shouldn't be spraying them out like buckshot in a deliberate attempt to destroy one of our best tools? 16 minutes ago, Archer said: I fully expect it to hit two villagers, but I'm of the belief that we'll likely lose the cycle and want to end with a remaining pool with 2+ elim suspects in it. It makes the remaining Elims much easier to find. And if they don’t NK, like last time, we don’t trigger the mask, giving us either a win, or another set of hard cleared villagers. I for one think this is a great use of the mask. It’s not our best tool if we don’t use it. And if we don’t because they don’t NK, we learned new info we wouldn’t have gotten otherwise, and we’ll just detonate next loop Agreed with Archer. We’ll need one more person willing to spend rupees though. If Archer and I each hit 5, that’s 10, but more people will probably be alive by then.

You intend for us to positively identify three different elims in a single Loop? That seems very reckless. Especially if along the way we throw away one of our more useful identification tools. Why are you so quick to use up our one and only Blast Mask for this purpose instead of to catch an NK with a revenge kill? 26 minutes ago, Mistfallen Soldier said: This is the best cycle to use it. One of which is another way you're confusing the mechanics. Loop 1 was the ONLY time in this game that we're able to get hard-cleared Villagers. From here on out, it's possible for us to kill an elim and still lose, meaning we will never gain hard alignment data from Loop results. 26 minutes ago, Mistfallen Soldier said: I for one think this is a great use of the mask. Can you articulate why this is a better use for the mask than catching an Elim kill, or else just manipulating elim behavior to make the kills more rigid and readable? The typical advantage gleaned from your plan is that we lose the Loop and and gain a small modicum of soft information by increasing the density of elims among the surviving players. Meanwhile, if we leave the Blast Mask in play, then the Elims -- the only people who MUST target someone every turn -- are put in a much more precarious position. Edited March 3 by Wonko the Sane
Ashbringer he/him Posted March 3 Posted March 3 The building was collapsing. Fire and panic was consuming the North Ward, now. Smoke. Shouts. Explosions. Not as bad as the last loop, different this time. But in the wreckage of one small building, the fire burned even within just as strong. And Ara-Marton still laughed. 1

No, actually, it can be a loop 1 all over again as it’s purely based on player count and ratios. As for catching an NK, that is one of 4 abilities right now that target(Roleblock, tracking, NK, PMs) that’s a 25% chance that if it blows it’s from the NK, not to mention that the Elims have to actually hit the right person. The blast mask is useful at catching a NK, that’s just not likely. Also, the sooner the better, the sooner we have the information, the quicker we can use it to catch Elims. Why would we wait till next loop? And yes, they can choose to not NK, this could be a loop 1. With 3 lynches that puts it into a 9v4. Elims win that, with no NKs. But in that case we know we have 3 more confirmed villagers. With no NKs, we only have to exe 1 Elim, with NKs, we exe 2. Because we’re waiting till N3B we’ll know whether we want to blow up the Blast mask or not.

Amanuensis he/him Posted March 3 Author Posted March 3 (edited) LG110, Day 2-B: Sunrise Over Snowhead Day 2-B will end on Wednesday, March 4th @ 10:00 PM EST. Ap the Apprentice The earthquake hit while they were still on the road, not long after the crack of dawn. A low shudder through the ground, there and gone before anyone finished reacting. A few people stumbled. One of the horses threw its head. Then it was still again, and the column kept moving. A Goron sherpa walking alongside told them it had been happening since the moon changed its face. Every hour or so, he said. Getting closer together. No one replied to that, dreading what it meant. The smithy came into view around a bend — two waterfalls flanking it, the permafrost lawn between the cliff face and the forge now covered in tents, hundreds of them, lit from within by lantern light and cooking fires. Clock Ward banners marked the perimeter. The sound of the place was not cheerful, but it was alive, and after the road that was enough. Outside the smithy's entrance, a short and somewhat rumpled man was speaking with Quartermaster Sakon in the particular posture of someone who had not agreed to this conversation and was enduring it anyway. That would be Zubora — the owner, from what her grandfather had told her, sharp enough when he wanted to be and content to let his enormous assistant do all the actual work when he didn't. The enormous assistant in question was just visible through the open forge door, a masked, hulking shape moving with unhurried purpose behind the flames, paying the conversation outside no attention. Sakon was doing most of the talking. He still pranced, even slightly, even standing still — a leftover quality from thirty-three years ago that no amount of Clock Ward brass had quite suppressed. He was gesturing at the weapon inventory list with one hand and at the tent camp with the other, and the words came to Ap in pieces over the waterfall's noise: the arrangement stands, and something about his share with a particular emphasis, and then — clearly, because Sakon said it clearly — Medigoron has what we need regardless of what he tells us. Zubora said something short in response. Sakon smiled his grinning smile and moved on. Ap filed it and kept walking. She found the weapon racks twenty minutes later, set up beside the forge. A respectable array — short blades, longer ones, a Goron warhammer that only a Goron would lift. She picked up a short sword, the same length and balance as the Clock Ward standard issue. "That's not for you." Sakon had materialized at her elbow. He was smiling warmly, the way he smiled at everything. "I've fought before," she said. "Real monsters. In a temple." "And I believe you." He took the sword gently and returned it to the rack. "But I couldn't hand a blade to a child and live with myself. You understand." She understood he wasn't going to move. She stopped arguing. He pressed a small pouch into her hand — more rupees than she'd expected — and nodded toward the path east. "The Hot Springs are just down there. Take your friends. You've all earned it." Then he was already turning, already moving, already somewhere else. She stood holding the pouch. She looked at the sword rack. She found the others and told them about the rupees, and they started down toward the springs. She went with them, telling herself she was going. She was halfway down the path when Sakon's voice carried from behind her, directed at his detail, the warm concern entirely gone. "Powder Keg Shop," he said. "Full detail. The real culprits won't be far." She stopped. She thought about following him. She thought about what real culprits meant in Sakon's mouth, and about the BSSJ and their Annual Summit, and about bombs that someone had carefully placed under an entire city and then carefully blamed on someone else. She thought about the rupees in her hand. She thought about the Powder Keg Shop, and whether the BSSJ might have a contact there, and whether Sakon finding them first would be a problem she could prevent. She started walking again, toward the springs, toward the sun rising above Snowhead Mountain, and kept the Powder Keg Shop in the back of her mind where the other things she hadn't dealt with yet were waiting. Quote Mountain Village & Mountain Smithy Two waterfalls mark the entrance to this high plateau, where Zubora and Gabora's Mountain Smithy stand alone. Zubora runs the front; Gabora, enormous and masked and of uncertain origin, runs the forge. Sakon's Clock Wards have set up a weapons rack on the lawn, available to anyone willing to take a guard shift. The permafrost between the smithy and the cliff is covered in refugee tents. It is cold. It is loud with the business of people who have nowhere else to be. Goron Graveyard At the top of the larger waterfall's cliff, a passage leads to the resting place of Darmani, legendary Goron hero. The entrance is visible from the plateau below. Getting to it is another matter — the cliff face offers nothing to climb, and no bridge has ever been built there. The Gorons treat the site with the specific reverence of people who do not need to explain why. Twin Island Hot Springs A short walk east of the smithy, two rocky islands straddle a set of steaming natural pools. A consortium of Business Scrubs purchased the land from the Gorons some years back and transformed it into a resort of genuine if expensive comfort. The owners remain in their reserved pool, serene and unbothered by current events. Their Goron bouncers are polite about the entry fee right up until they aren't. Goron Shrine At the heart of Goron Village, the seat of the Elder's authority has been locked since morning. Neither the Elder nor his son have emerged, and no one inside has responded to knocking. The Gorons gathering outside are running out of patience, and the moon above them is not helping. Goron Powder Keg Shop Medigoron has been selling powder kegs to miners and festival organizers for decades. Currently, a Clock Ward detail under Quartermaster Sakon is taking his shop apart looking for evidence of BSSJ collaboration. Medigoron is denying everything, with dignity. They have found nothing. The search continues. Lone Peak Shrine A narrow island of rock hangs in midair above the eastern valley, cave entrance facing outward, a faint light visible within. No bridge connects it to anything. The Gorons are reluctant to say much about it except that it has always been there. The light, they say, has not gone out in thirty-three years. Archer he/him Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Guess that answers why Wonko was against blowing up the postman! Cancel the visit to the Powder Keg Shop D3... So why not shoot confirmed villager Wahr, who claimed vanilla? Educated guess about the postman and a desire to shut down PMs? Want to avoid giving them 50 rupees? You've got to think Ashbringer was a more subtle target if it has to do with the Burnt vote, although he wasn't very committed to it. I'd like to zero in on Araris (who keeps giving very safe/correct analysis sparsely) and Doc. "Janci Patterson", if PMs went through.
