So per Right of Item Bearing do I get the Dawnshard for my collection or not? I think technically Mat has it but I don't see it in the writeup

Mat has it, but item switches aren’t indicated in the writeup. I didn’t PM anybody, though, so…?

I’m totally claiming that Dawnshard, sorry :P never mind the fact that my stats are very out of date

GG all. We made a couple of weird plays (like sacrificing DeTess for… ultimately nothing except for a funny last second Ash PM) but I guess it worked out in the end. This game felt especially more like me faking bad village play than doing good elim play, if that makes sense, and makes me excited to actually be village one of these days :P I do think our team was a tad overpowered, though we didn’t end up using 2/3 of our roles.

Also @archer I totally still stand by that not being a tell :P. I’m pretty sure it’s just that I happened to roll elim every single time I was busy this summer, a correlation does not equal causation scenario, but I don’t actually know because I haven’t been village recently xD

So maybe it is a tell. We won’t know until I’m both village and busy at the same time :P.

Also also @aman I wasn’t online to say it at the time but now I can say that this is a perfect example of why we don’t self vote >:P

This reminds, I do think @Amanuensis promised himself not to self vote again, correct me if I'm wrong but I think I remember this happening a while back.

That's fine :P Derrick did start with the Dawnshard after all. He might just have to go the long way 'round.

... also I do not need a Dawnshard I just yoinked 13 of the 16 Shards of Adonalsium and Derrick's keeping Survival at least

I mean, the me sacrifice could have been a very useful late game tool if it wasn't a clean sweep for the rest of the game, plus I actually would have been out of it for a cycle or two due to health issues.

Anyway, well done TJ and Mat!

HAHAHAHAHA IT WAS TJ

That's actually a very satisfying elim team. I feel like I suspected all of them at one point or another, just couldn't follow through

Mat, I'll stop pursuing it the day I mix V!you. :P. You shouldn't have used math either, very sus. Lucky for you, DeTess steered me wrong and I ignored my gut about her too. In retrospect, I shouldn't have let this slide from her:

Interestingly bodyguard is a neutered role if you're not concerned about stopping the NK, so I can see it being an elim role

I agree bodyguard is a neutral-ish role this game

-DeTess

Oh well. Good game, baddies. The distro was weird because I was assuming no assassin, but I also didn't properly grasp how the resurrection stuff and knives worked, so I trust it was balanced. The docs were surprisingly quiet - I think people felt more dead than alive and checked out. Thanks for running this, GM, IM!

No clue. My memory between games is essentially non existent :P Though in the context of this game my vote didn't matter anyway (both you and Ash would need to vote TJ with me)

I think the Assassin balances that pretty well. The problem was that the village had an info deficit — I think if I or somebody else were to rerun this, we should find a way to make flips more common. Maybe Blades can be active instead of passive.

Only if they kill correctly. The problem with an Assassin is that they can either not kill or kill villagers, making it a weird balance tool when there's a chance it shoots its team in the foot :P But yeah.

Congrats to the elim team for winning! And good job to all of the villagers as well! This was a fun game to watch, even if I ended up being pretty busy near the end. I was at a band convention trying to get a job. (I did get a job! Finally!) Thank you so much everyone for being such awesome players and making my life so much easier! Also everyone has already mostly done so, but keep giving Szeth all the love he deserves for running such an awesome game almost entirely by himself! He did a great job.

Sorry I was gone

:P Sorry I used your play against you and then killed you before you could turn it around. Maybe shouldn’t have done that.

Yeah, I had the option to effectively turn the game into a coin flip, but that was it, which was why I didn’t ever attack. I think I’d need to have a way to get stronger suspicions much earlier if I wanted to be effective for the Village with a kill role. Active knives might work, or some kind of limited scanner role.

Ash: Assassin's a pretty insane role for a distro of 11 people. Especially since we already have the Dawnshard and a presumably-Village Leader and Fighter. And if Wonko decided to claim and then not shoot anyone that turn to prove himself. Not entirely sure when things happen on the OoA but Assassin is probably at the same time as the Elim Kill...

Aman: Yeah, I had that same reaction (told him I expected there to be none given the roster) but I’ve long become numb to the crazy things GMs will think of :P

Especially Szeth, it appears he likes curveballs (looking at MR60)

Mwahaha

My goal this time was to make the game shorter, since I didn’t want KKC to be delayed / interfere with it.

Apologies for the late necro. I'm trying to add this game to the player data spreadsheet and I notice the GM mastersheet does not seem to be linked publicly.

@Szeth_Pancakes any chance you could make that available, please?

@Kasimir — I just checked and it looks like it’s open? Odd.

It's not linked in your doc list. All I see is a group of Google Docs.
