Well goodbye.
I've been anticipating this moment for a long time. As many of you know I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
As such I am leaving to serve a mission to preach the gospel. And I will be gone for two years doing so. I tried preparing blogs to be posted every month, but I took too long and only made it to January, but feel free to keep those updated on anything interesting that happens.
Goodbye my friends.
God be with you till we meet again.

Prepare to have your life changed St. It's gonna be the hardest two years of your life. But it will also easily be the best two years as well. I wish you the best of luck my friend. May God be with you till we meet again.

Got to be one of my favorite phrases ever.

I did not make this meme, but it is 100000% true and don't even try to deny it.

Honestly, I think there are some Europeans who actually like America, but yeah, I wouldn't trust most of Europe with my rights nowadays.
-
If I were European I would feel like that. As an American I still sometimes feel like that.

So I just finished my third book, the first draft anyway.
And um, I killed the main characters father. Again. For the third time.
And I killed the secondary characters mother. And her father, though she didn't know that.
I think I have a problem.

Well ...yeah it really doesn't cuz they'll have highs and lows and so thus aren't always happy or always sad
BUT THEY’RE ALWAYS TRAUMATIZED
-
Trauma is good.
Always getting it by killing their parents is predictable.
-
There are other ways but that one is always a good one

So Brandon averages 2% on Stormlight Archive 5 a week assuming a 400,000 page book.
That's only 8,000 words and he does 6 days a week, and 4 hours of writing a day.
That's an average of 333ish words per hour.
I've been getting close to 500 per hour.
Am I faster than Brandon?

are you as consistent is the real question
can you do 500 words a day for 18 YEARS
-
What if the book is longer tha 400,000 words?
-
@dannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnex I have no way of knowing.
@ΨιτιsτηεΒέsτ I already said that Brandon is assuming that it will be 400,000 words when he says he does 2% a week. He knows the book will probably be longer, but that is what he is assuming in order to get a percentage.

Why is it that no restaurant has good fries?
I don't mean curly fries, but like standard stereotypical fries.
They all have like an eighth the amount of seasoning they need and the only one they have is salt.

I wasn't even aware there was a place called Checkers.
Nor have I been to Peru.
-
Checker’s/Rally’s? It must just be a southern chain

Peru solves all the problems that fries ever had.

I keep seeing articles with some title similar to: Yes men think about the Roman Empire every day."
And as a man I can confirm it is 100% true.

Europeans: Ha Americans are so fat because they drive everywhere and eat crap.
Americans who know that 28.3 inches of fat will stop a bullet:

And the spambot is still going.

I recently found this video on how to determine true conspiracy theories from false ones, and I feel obligated to share it.
Yes this is what I spend my time doing, don't judge me, or do. It's your life.

My favorite hymns have got to be:
Praise to the Man
A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief
If You Could Hie to Kolob

Yeah, the pink is weird. But in the Sacred Music app you can search for the album “Songs of Devotion” and this is Father in Heaven, We Do Believe.
-
Danex is right. Poor wayfaring man of grief and come thou fount are the best two by farrr

Not singing the entirety of Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief should be considered a sin.
I'm partial to the ones that explore Latter-day Saint doctrine a little more, like If You Could Hie to Kolob, The Spirit of God, and O My Father.
It's not in our hymnbook (yet, I hope and pray) but my favorite of all time is probably It Is Well With My Soul.

I've been looking at simulations for what would happen if the USA went to war with the world, and I'm loving it.

That actually sounds really interesting, where are you finding them?
ALSO, how did I miss you acknowledging yourself as an insect centaur?

tbh
I would love to see those simulations. It sounds fascinating.

It is so weird for me to see people complaining about having to pay for things.
Like yes, somebody had to go make that thing and then bring it to you, and you expect them to do it for free?

It is America Day!
Happy 4th of July everybody, in celebration of the year the world became a better place.

Can we talk about the fact that the T.Rex is the perfect terrestrial predator for a second?
This thing could smell better thanand a turkey vulture, see better than a hawk, and had incredible hearing. It could swim, run at up to 12 mph, while maintaing that pace for an incredible length of time, and had strong enough musculature to flip your car on its side and bite through it. And not only that but it was incredibly inteligent, and depending on what study you use could be anywhere from as smart as a crocodile, all the way to a chimpanzee.
Oh yeah, and it also weighed more than fifteen thousand pounds.

Awesome... and terrifying. Like, imagine rounding a corner and you see a pack of T-rexes heading towards you.

Quick call the burger place down the road and your whole friend group!

Or i can just out run my friends that do track. to do that, I will obviously break their legs with my tennis racket.

YouTube is just determined to drive everyone from their platform. First it was dozens of ads per video, then the shadowbans and the content suppression, then removing dislikes, and now the CEO is saying that their #1 priority is shorts, and channels aren't being recommended unless they post shorts.
I'm honestly kind of tired of them making the worst possible decisions I just want to watch some videos.

Pretty sure content creators get to control how many ads their videos have.
They can choose whether to have ads or not, not how many there are.
QuoteNot saying Youtube is perfect, but they are a company that's trying to make a profit, and they're not making totally irrational decisions
Oh they aren't entirely irrational, but they drive me crazy.

A quick google says it's the other way around. Youtube puts ads on pretty much everything, but the youtuber can choose whether or not to have midrolls and place them wherever.
-
I have a good adblocker so i get very few ads. it's wonderful. highly recommend.
Removing dislikes still makes me so mad. They blatantly lie about the reasoning too. They claimed it was so "content creators wouldn't get their feelings hurt" but literally the only people who can still see the dislike count IS THE CONTENT CREATOR. They STILL SEE IT. It was entirely to appease brands and advertisers who were getting their videos absolutely dislike-bombed.

I've heard that in Japan broken objects are repaired with gold.
Listening to this song I have to wonder if maybe there's more to that than just making it beautiful, perhaps life isn't about getting through it in as large a piece as we can, but about breaking ourselves down, and being built back up by one greater than ourselves.
-
Oh my goodness, I think that's the eighth spambot I've reported today.
And I think they're all the same guy. The "Gurumaa##" account format that has been used at least a dozen times by now at least spread them out over a couple days or weeks, but this new one has almost done ten different accounts in under 24 hours.
