  1. It has been a while since someone posted a meme, here is one! Spoilered for size
  2. I don’t like it, I feel like it restricts Shallan’s potential, and it is just weird. Also, there are 8 staff members viewing this post
  3. Yes, he wanted the Moon Scepter so he could translate and interpret sons and other symbols, if I remember correctly.
  4. Ya, it was the device I tried to use. I am now on a different device and it should work better now. Hero of Ages
  5. There are positive and negative aspects to all leaders. Honor allowed Ashton to be destroyed, but he also gave power to found the Radiants and form the Oathpact. He bound Odium to Braize, but he went insane and gave odd commands to the Radiants and spren in his final days. Also, Mathias said MOST. In any group of beings/entities, there is at least one that will rise above the others and be better.
  6. No, the Sibling wouldn’t have been able to make Warlight until someone else theorized it and created it. Even if someone came and said “Warlight is the combination of Voidlight and Stormlight, you have the power to make it” the Sibling wouldn’t be able to. The Sibling needs to KNOW that Warlight is possible and needs to KNOW exactly what it needs to make, because everything in the Cosmere is about Intent.
  7. Can you send me a link? I would like to look at that
  8. Elend - Windrunner Sazed - Elsecaller Vin - Skybreaker Ham - Stoneward Breeze - Lightweaver Kelsier - Lightweaver Clubs - Stoneward Spook - Bondsmith Marsh - Windrunner Dockson - Elsecaller
  9. From what we have seen, Shards are all powerful, with a few minor exceptions. Other Shards can kill them, or bind them, but binding another Shard weakens them. Also Nightblood. Endowment is all powerful on their planet. They can do anything they want because there is no opposing Shard and there is no binding on them. If they were to somehow turn evil, they would be the most feared thing in the Cosmere, because they are all powerful. I bet that eventually there will be one Shard that frees itself from restraint and rampages.
  10. We don’t know, but we can theorize until we get more information about what is done to create an Unmade. I think that it depends on the Intent of the corruption. If Raboniel wanted the Sibling to be able to function on all three, then the corruption would have allowed that, but if she wanted only Voidlight to work, then only Voidlight would work.
  11. I don’t know if Compounding is the right term in this situation. Compounding refers to getting extra power from Feruchemy using allomancer, and I think it is somewhat specific to those two magic systems, with minor allowances for some situations (Hemalurgy, direct Shardic interference). I don’t think that you could gain EXTRA power from Stormlight, that just isn’t the way it works. The term you should use is Resonance, because that is what would happen. Possession of more than two magics let’s you create new things. For example, there is Resonance between Dalinar and Shallan when they use their powers to create the map of the world. All Lightweavers have a Resonance between soulcasting and lightweaving, they gain the ability to take Memories. If I remember correctly, the Windrunner’s Resonance is reverse lashings (When they can attract objects to one another, not when they physically stick them together). Compounding is a form of Resonance, but it talks about a specific type of Resonance. When Wax creates his “steel bubble”, that is believes to be a unique resonance between his allomantic steel and feruchemical iron. Possession of 2 or more honorblades is possible and it would create new combinations or Surges and new Resonances. The same would happen if you bonded with 2 or more spren of different orders, though Brandon has said that this would be very difficult to do. Another refutation of your argument for increased power, is the situation of bonding more than one spren of the same order. Bonding more than one spren doesn’t increase your power significantly or make your Stormlight usage more efficient.
  12. Yes, I have seen parallels and religious influences before. I think the Alethi codes of war are similar the church doctrine. For instance, no drinking. The other parts of the codes have connections, but it would take way to long to write it all out. Anyway, Stormlight is most definitely the book that has the most religious influence from Brandon.

  15. When you mentioned that, it made me think, what if each surge is related to an attribute? Windrunners and Skybreakers share gravitation, and they focus on the law. Elsecallers and Lightweavers focus on information and knowledge (whether true or false). They share soulcasting. These are just off the top of my head, but I vaguely remember other connections that I noticed while reading.
  16. Just made a realization that explains why Seons look the same in the cognitive and spiritual realm. It is connected to the specific nature of the deaths of Devotion and Dominion. Normally a Shard dies and someone can pick it up. If it is splintered there are more steps, but it could be fixed. When Odium killed them he pushed the majority of their power into the cognitive realm. I think this allows the Seons to stay in one form in between the physical and cognitive realms. I don’t know the exact Realmatic causes, but I think it MUST be related to the unique circumstances of death.
  17. I know, right? I guess it just means that you would be TERRIBLE at meeting the requirements for that order, or maybe some aspects of you would actually repulse the spren of that order.
  18. Ya, I am terrible at that balance. I just took the test so my info would be exact. All of this is copied EXACTLY, even the negatives. Skybreaker 64% Windrunner 61% Elsecaller 54% Edgedancer 46% Stoneward 42% Bondsmith 41% Truthwatcher 39% Willshaper -2% Dustbringer -8% Lightweaver -19%
  19. I literally do that. I get both of those equally, as I said in my original post near the top
  20. Windrunner/Skybreaker, the results switch back and forth but they are always within 2% of each other
  21. He might not have been a being, he may have been a force
  22. No, this is just a comprehensive list of "If it could possibly be not allowed, include it, no matter how farfetched or absurd it sounds" also, Minor Well of Ascension spoiler
