  1. Veil eyes shot open, and the pain immediately started up again. He pushed himself into a sitting position and looked around what seemed to be a makeshift hospital. There were plenty of TUBA and Ghostblood soldiers in beds alongside his. Veil swung his legs off of the stretcher, and feeling slightly nauseous, went to the entry of the tent. Storms. A lot had happened since he'd passed out. Chaos marines were swarming within the city, and there were a couple monsters that he couldn't identify  Wanting to get involved again, Veil grabbed some charged spheres sitting next to his bed, and lashed himself towards a group of figures standing to talk amongst themselves. Veil soon alighted next to them and saw that the person was Devaan, talking with a ( @Ark1002, what're you playing right now?) strange creature. Veil nodded to Devaan as he alighted next to them, listening to his plan.

  2. Quote

Hey everyone, sorry for the inactivity, school just started and I'm trying to get my schedule worked out. I'm going to post something to get Veil reoriented (last post he was passed out. Before I do that though I need to know what's going on. Summary anyone?

  3. Veil looked up as the metal cylinder was cut open, daylight pouring in. A man gave Veil a few spheres and than continued fighting. Veil, with the last of his strength, lashed himself towards the allied side. He fell to the ground as he cancelled his lashing, muttering for a healer. A few peoplw rushed over to assist him, and he was aoon being carried on a stretcher to one of the tents where the healers were kept.

  4. Three down. Fifteen left. Veil had been flying around, one by one eliminating the DA generals. He'd pretty much become immune to the pain after the first time he'd passed out, though he could still feel the occasional twang in his chest as someone died in a particularly painful way. Just a few more, Veil thought, as he took an arrow to the leg. He'd sustained a few major injuries during his job, but they we're nothing compared to the pain he felt from the deaths around him. Just a few more, Veil thougt as he eliminated another general, falling to the ground in pain as he did so.

  5. Veil awoke from his unconscious, hearing a loud creaking noise as he sat up. Really. Nobody had even tried to wake him up. Veil stood on the edge of  the outlook, looking out at the Alleycity. The creaking noise was coming from the lifeless chasmfiends. Veil saw a figure at the front of the army, leading the charge. Solace. That was his queue. Veil lashed himself, and soon alighted next to Solace, matching his brisk pace.

"Hey, I know this is a war, but can we try to kill as few people as possible?"asked Veil. "It would help me not be in pain, also, I don't like killing that much."

  6.  Veil reeled over in pain, feeling sorry for Rashan, knowing that his state may permanently affect his body. Veil, on his knees by now, screaming, had never experienced such pain. And to think Rashan lived like this. Veil saw  Li Tairu kneel down, holding a metalmind towards Rashan.   A wave of relief washed over Veil, causing him to gasp. What came next shocked Veil. The pain was dimmed enough for Veil to make out what was happening, and he heard Rashan babbling about a war and deaths and whatnot. What shocked Veil was what he felt. Veil couldn't see what Rashan was experiencing, but he could feel it due to his connection to Rashan through his pain. The pain, the death, the sadness that was to come. He felt it all. The pain came back suddenly, and the last thing Veil remembered was Rashan's  suffering before he blacked out.

  7. Quote

Wait, are Caer and Rashan the same person?

  8. "Hmmm everyone here is in pain. Evspecially that one." Veil said, pointing at Rashan. " Nothing to intense, but y'all need some healers and maybe an emotional counselor. The emotions and pain I'm feeling are REALLY weird."

  9. I @ShardBreaker swear to defend the Alleyverse. I shall not use my position here to betray others, but to help cultivate the Alleyverse, to assist with its growth. I pledge my loyalty to the fate of the Alleyverse, and am ready to give up life and limb to defend it. I am a watcher om the wall, a guardian at the gate, a cultivator of destiny.

    Nice to join yah.

Solace waited over the overlook for the rest of his members to arrive. He could not do this alone- well he could though he might succeed he would die in the process. he fired another flare just a precaution.

Veil alighted softly on the overlook, nodding a greeting to Solace.

"So what's the plan boss?" Veil asked with a lazy salute.

  11. I claim this post for the Era 5 character list.

    @18th Shard Emily/Sanax/ Xanas

    Spoiler

    Emily Azizi

    Spoiler

    Name: Emily Azizi

Physical Characteristics: Ethnically British-Iranian, born and raised in England. 35 years old, short, slim build. Skin tone is a tan color; dark, straight hair often pulled back into a ponytail. Brown eyes.

Investiture: Epic Power (post-Calamity): can sense the pulse and temperature of a person by touching them (on any part of their body). (+30, subject to agreement by Voidus’s ranking)

Skills: Intelligence – Smart (+10); Handiwork – Nursing, Skilled (+25); Scholarship – Medical, Average (+20)

    Equipment: N/A

Weakness: Epic weakness: Eating green beans. Increasing mental instability due to minor timeline memory recollection – causes headaches. (-5)

Family: Parents still live on Earth (Reckoners – Invocation), along with a younger brother.

Home Planet: Earth (Reckonersverse – Invocation dimension)

Backstory: Was an honor student in high school. Following graduation, began college to get a nursing degree. After several years of college, Invocation appeared and she received her powers. Graduated as a RN. Came to the Alleyplanet for a change of scene after hearing about it from an acquaintance. Was hired as a nurse at Einladung Hospital in the Cognitive ward, where she has worked for about 1 year.

    Guild: N/A

Psyche: Mostly stable, although she has begun having memories of a daughter accompanied by sharp headaches, which have bothered her significantly.

Personality: A kind and intelligent woman, she is also very involved with her work, which takes much of her free time. She is one of the few nurses who doesn’t mind working in the Cognitive ward long term and is less unnerved by patient’s mental instabilities than others.

Appearance: See Physical Characteristics. Usually is wearing navy-colored scrubs and a thin necklace with a stylized S on it (see Reckoners, “Faithful”), with a clasp that will break away easily.

Theme Song: Beyond the Summit – Jennifer Thomas

    Fighting Style: N/A

    30 (I) + 55 (S) – ~5 (W) = ~80ish [non-official ballpark rating]

    Xanas Khaevarin (alias Sanax)

    Spoiler

Physical Characteristics: Lifeless body (greyed skin, hair, and eyes; no pulse; body temperature is usually room temperature); when Voidmaking, eyes become black; one black spike through the heart. Wears a light grey cloak embroidered with Aon Shao and gloves (all of which have aluminum linings).

Investiture: Voidmaking (level 7) (100) – above average, passive annihilation of most investiture on touch, with focus can destroy matter and energy. As a result of the Stranger’s modification to the Worldspike, Xanas (see below) and Sanax exist simultaneously. At random times, a connection between the two causes some Investiture to bleed from Xanas to Sanax, which results in Sanax momentarily using the Investiture Xanas was. At these times, he may lose consciousness and is incapable of being woken, and may experience flashes of memories from Xanas.

Skills: Genius intellect (45); highly knowledgeable in the operations of almost all Investitures and Realmatics/Alleymatics (40)

Equipment: Deadeye Shardblade (formerly his own Elsecaller blade)

Weakness: Unable to be healed, transported, etc. by Investiture (20), Breath-equivalent requirement (10). Xanas retains memories of his time previous to entering the Void, but recent memories are fragmented. Being native to another timeline, Xanas experiences déjà vu frequently, and his instincts often react as if in his native timeline (e.g. he expects places or things to be in locations they are not, or to function in ways they no longer do).

    Family: None living

    Home Planet: Roshar

Backstory: Growing up in Kasitor approximately 300 years before the birth of Gavilar Kholin, Xanas did not associate with many other children and was often ostracized. After alienating himself from high-ranking officials in the city by publicly criticizing them as a youth, he was thrown in jail on false charges. Seeking to leave Kasitor behind, he traveled to Rall Elorim, hoping to escape their influence. Xanas refuses to talk about this portion of his life, though this is when he began to bond Tsarik, an inkspren. After leaving under the wing of a Worldsinger, Xanas eventually found his way to the fledgling Alleys, becoming an early member of the Dark Alley. [original timeline] Following the creation of the Alleyverse, Xanas led early testing on the Void. A particularly ambitious project resulted in an opening into the Void, which led to the deaths of many in his department and his presumed death. Following almost 1500 years in the Void, Xanas managed to escape by binding his Cognitive aspect and a portion of the Void ‘petrified’ in the form of his Spiritual aspect into a Lifeless clone of himself. After leaving the Alleys, he met and began to interact with a boy named Mike. [/original timeline] [new timeline] Following the creation of the Alleyverse, Xanas led early testing on the Void, but discontinued it after determining it to be too dangerous to safely test. He currently runs the Department of Testing & Analysis, and played advisory roles to combatants in the major wars and conflicts of the Alleyverse. While well-known to Denizens, Xanas is relatively unknown among most inhabitants of the Alleyverse. [/new timeline]

Guild: Formerly Dark Alley – Department Head of Testing & Analysis; In New Timeline - None

Psyche: Genius but can be unstable, particularly after spending time in the Void.

Personality: Once sarcastic, now far more somber.

Appearance: White-gray cloak lined with aluminum, Aon Shao embroidered on the back. Gloves. Black Shardblade in sheath on back. Gray skin/hair.

Theme Song: Illumination by Jennifer Thomas

Fighting Style: Avoids fighting unless he has an overwhelming advantage

    Xanas Khaevarin

    Spoiler

Physical Characteristics: Natively half-Iriali, half-Azish (golden colored hair, yellow eyes); slightly below average height; has two atium spikes in his chest; generally wears a dark cloak with a simple atium symbol on the back in a dark grey. Rarely wears gloves except in surgical testing.

Investiture: Elsecaller – 4th Ideal (on par with Jasnah)

    Spoiler

o   1st – Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination

o   2nd – I will be guided by logic, not by emotion.

o   3rd – I will consider all viewpoints, even those I do not agree with.

o   4th – I will seek out the correct questions before seeking their answers.

Two atium spikes – 1 grants Connection to the Alleyverse (i.e. it is as if he was born there), the other allows his age to remain stable (i.e. he is ageless). (Negligible value in most cases)

Has access to most forms of Investiture via spikes or medallions in his role as Head of the Department of Testing & Analysis.

Skills: Intelligent; skilled knowledgeable in the operations of almost all Investitures and Realmatics/Alleymatics

Equipment: As a Radiant, has access to his own living Shardblade.

Weakness: As a result of the Stranger’s modifications to the Worldspike and Xanas’s previous nature, Xanas and Sanax (see above) exist simultaneously. At random times, a connection between the two causes Invested objects Xanas is using (with the exception of the two spikes in his chest) to lose all power. At these times, he may lose consciousness and is incapable of being healed or woken, and may experience flashes of memories from Sanax. Anti-social and may misinterpret social or emotional cues. I was thinking the vision/power drains occurring for no reason would become increasingly common, but maybe starting at once or twice a day. Maybe to make it more effective, it's also correlated with power usage, so a major Soulcasting/Elsecalling (a human-sized mass/farther than a mile) or use of more than one medallion/spike than his normal two for more than 15 or so minutes will trigger an 'episode'. If he's using a medallion or spike, etc. at the time, they are drained of Investiture and turn grey.

    Family: None living

Guild: Dark Alley – Head of Department of Testing & Analysis

Psyche: To quote a popular TV show, “a high functioning sociopath”

Personality: Somewhat sarcastic; highly unemotional; can be demanding

Appearance: Generally wears a dark cloak with a simple atium symbol on the back in a dark grey. Rarely wears gloves except in surgical testing.

Theme Song: Moonlight by the Piano Guys

Fighting Style: Avoids fighting unless he has an overwhelming advantage

    @AmazingGoob Calarian, Keylon

    Spoiler

    Keylon

    Spoiler

    Name: Wendon Karlson

    Physical Characteristics: A 52-year-old taller-than-average American male.

    Investiture: Experienced Rithmatist. (30)

Skills: Expert Scholar, (40) Intelligent (30)

    Equipment: N/A

Weakness: Getting old, lots of aches and pains. (-5)

Family: Only close family member is a younger brother, still on Rithmatist earth.

    Home Planet: Earth (Rithmatist)

Backstory: Born on the Island of Huron, when he became a Rithmatist he attended the Académie de Montréal, getting above-average marks. He served the full ten years at Nebrask, after which he traveled the world, seeing the sights and eventually even discovering the Cosmere on a larger scale. He's passed through the Alleyverse a couple times, but hasn't ever stayed for long. He only decided to stay a couple of months ago after gathering some friends and founding the Alleycity Rithmatist's Association.

Guild: Founder of the Alleycity Rithmatist's Association

Personality: Cautiously optimistic and kindhearted, he loves to explore and discover and invesigate, which was the driving force behind his travels across the universe.

Appearance: A tall man with greying hair and a small beard, usually clad in a standard rithmatics coat

Fighting Style: Outside of Rithmatic Duels, he doesn't really fight. Inside Rithmatic Duels, he prefers a defensive approach, especially with chalklings.

    Name: Calarian Kelar

Physical Characteristics: A 31 year old average-height male Scadrian.

Investiture: Steelrunner from an Hemalurgic spike, with very little decay. No experience using it, or any other form of Investiture.

Skills: Average skill with firearms, smart, experienced and comfortable in social situations.

Equipment: A six-shooter, a small knife, and some boxings.

Weakness: Hasn't actually killed or even really harmed anyone on purpose, and will be very reluctant to do so when given the chance. Can act superior to everyone else in the room, and is very arrogant. Newly arrived in the Alleyverse, and has only basic knowledge of the it and the Cosmere as a whole.

    Family: No relevant family.

    Home Planet: Scadrial

Backstory: Born to an noble family in an outer estate, his childhood was normal for one of his birth- tutors, lessons, and so on. When he inherited the family estate, however, he quickly got tangled up in the Set, acting as a relatively low-ranking member. He remained in the Set for a couple of years, managing his estate, honing his gun skills, and so on. This continued until he volunteered for field duty, which got him a hemalurgic spike. However, he did not know of the sacrifice required and after the procedure was over, he discovered the body in the next room. It shook him to the point of him leaving the Set- however, this did not come without a consequence, as he had to flee with a travelling Worldhopper to escape the Set's wrath, with nothing but what he had on him. He arrived just a day or two ago.

    Guild: Unaffiliated

Personality: Arrogant and haughty, he can be very annoying at times, and while his time with the Set has made his moral compass a little crooked (Mostly in concern with money) he is still a good person, if a bit uptight about it.

Appearance: Wears a fashionable suit and bowler hat, carries around a wood cane, and has a meticulously cared-for mustache.

Fighting Style: Has barely fought at all, let alone enough to get a style.

    @AonEne Deteca/Myriad

    Spoiler

    Name: Deteca Nutvry

Appearance: Female. Thirty-eight. Very short hair, Iriali gold; could probably be mistaken for male if haircut alone was looked at. Tan skin, light blue eyes. Not especially strong muscles; very slim; slightly shorter than the average height for her age. Has a spike in the middle of her upper chest, just beneath her collarbone.

Magic: Voidmaking; trained by Xanas, practices often. (I’m placing her ability at about 100, a seven on the scale of one to ten.) Spike granting the Epic ability to sense the potential of an idea.

Skills: Intelligence - Intelligent: 30; Projectile Weapon Combat Training - Amateur: 30; Scholarship - Skilled: 30

    Equipment: Pistol, Alleycant pen

Weaknesses: Her parents are a liability, and she would do a lot to keep them safe. If she is reminded of Akied, she can have a difficult time staying in the moment and will sometimes stop what she’s doing. Pagophobia. She has a mild fear of leaving the Alleycity, closer to “I’d like to not do that” than “Absolutely not”.

Family: Deteca’s parents are, shockingly, both alive. Her mother was from Iri, but worldhopped out of Roshar the first chance she got and found her way to Alleycity. Her father had lived there most of his life, but is ethnically Elisian. She had a younger brother named Akied, who is deceased.

Home Planet: The Alleyverse. She was born and raised in the Alleycity, and hasn’t ever left.

Backstory: Deteca was born and raised in the Alleycity, where her parents live. Akied was born seven years after her, but choked to death on an ice cube when he was six. His death caused Deteca to turn to the Dark Alley later in life in her grief; becoming a member gave her something to throw herself into, something to work toward, and she steadily grew to love the quiet guild’s studying and learning. She came to realize she was a Voidmaker and was mentored with Mac by Xanas on what they could figure out from testing and legends. At the same time as the Seven Day War, she gave herself the Epic power through a spike.

Guild: The Dark Alley (Research and Development Department)

Personality: Friendly, competitive, likes to make others laugh, loves to help explore and develop new ideas, loves most forms of sugar, extremely supportive of her guild after what they’ve done for her, occasionally finds the secretive ways of the DA annoying because she wants to go out and share all the awesome things they’re doing, feels lost without something to be working on.

Fighting Style: Intimidate someone to get them to back off; if that doesn’t work, try not to kill them with Voidmaking.

Theme Song: Hero by Tommee Profitt and Mike Mains
    ========================================
Name: Was named Marian Summers when alive. Has used many names, switches every so often, usually goes by something that starts with an M. Currently going by Myriad.

Appearance: Changes completely depending on what body she's wearing. Gravitates toward females when she has a choice. Prefers older teenagers or young adults; is mentally eighteen, though she has lived through twenty-five years.

Magic: She is a poltergeist, which is essentially a ghost that has to possess people to think. When not possessing people they’re invisible to anyone who's not another poltergeist. When possessing people they're just like that person, though personal quirks could be their own and they have their own minds. They can sometimes use skills that that person has. They are able to leave a body and stop possessing anytime they want; they’re also forcefully ejected when their host body dies. While they're there, it's like the body's original owner is sleeping. It is theoretically possible that a poltergeist and the other person could coexist if it was impossible for them to be 'put to sleep' by their nature, due to Investiture or simply a strong will. However, getting into the body in the first place can be a minor struggle as they fight the intrusion subconsciously.

    Skills: Intelligent - 30, Scholarship - Amateur

    Equipment: Scholar’s Guild notebook spanreed

Weaknesses: (OOC, will never possess PCs unless I control them or I am given permission by that character's writer.) Tends to underestimate other people, especially if they aren't intellectuals. Has an extreme fear of roads and crossing them, never jaywalks. Sometimes has flashbacks of her death when crossing and will freak out, running away or Bolting in a chain until she calms down. Never learned to drive a car or any other vehicle, will consent to be a passenger in one but only after trying to find an alternative and feels slight anxiety within. Is not sapient when not inhabiting a person, primally seeking the warmth and life of a body no matter what. Bothers to get medical treatment only sometimes, often merely leaving her former host hurt - even mortally so (or dead) - and will therefore be slowed down by injuries in a fight, ranging from a cut gushing blood to a missing arm. Refuses to use an animal body out of pride. Is still learning about the Alleyverse, cosmere, and the magic systems of most Earths.

Family: Does not remember any details about her family

Home Planet: The Earth Brandon's short story Dreamer is set in. Utah, the United States of America.

Backstory: Marian can only recall the most basic details about her life before she died; she loved school and wanted to be a teacher. That dream was stolen from her when she was eighteen and ran across the street without looking, getting hit by a car and dying. However, she became a poltergeist. Marian tried to make contact with her family, but was unable to convince them of the truth and eventually abandoned them. She wandered the continent of North America for seven years, having the rare encounter with another who could do what she could and learning what little she could before moving on. She slowly became more jaded as she witnessed people commit crimes and die, but retained a small amount of hope that there was more to humanity than that. Her wandering eventually led her to the Alleyverse, where she has been for the last several months.

Guild: The Scholar's Guild and the Dark Alley (Acquisitions Department)

Personality: Though she has mostly given up on people, she has kept some semblance of a moral code, convincing herself that using other bodies is okay because it's the only way she can stay alive, and at least with her there they won't do anything awful. She usually feels guilty when she gets her body killed, though not as much as a normal person would, and feels only slight guilt if they're hurt. She tries to mix it up to be nice, not using one body for more than a few days in general. Only volunteers the information that she's a poltergeist to people she interacts with for a decent amount of time. Friendly, joking, interested in things she doesn't know, fairly stubborn - both when it's useful and when it's detrimental. Deals with PTSD.

Fighting Style: Uses whatever weapon she has on hand, but sixty percent of the time doesn't know how to use them and therefore does a bad job of harming any trained fighters. Sucks at protecting herself and has zero training in any weapons.

Theme Song: Ghost by Jacob Lee

    Spoiler

    Investiture: Pulp Soulcaster

Skills: Painting, music, average fabrialcraft, skilled scholarship

Weaknesses: Doesn't have any idea how to fight. Restrained by the confines of Vorinism. Nervous among large crowds that can see her.

    Guild: TUBA

Personality: Generally a kind person, but slightly haughty, and very spoiled.

PsychGenerally confident, but prone to mental breakdowns when confronted with large crowds.

Appearance: Average height, somewhat round face, average bust, blue-green eyes, blond hair.

Backstory: Raised by a rich family that had joined TUBA before the Seven Day War, Crow was given a rich life, with almost anything she could want at her fingertips. Food, toys, anything that did not interfere with her religion, and that of her parents. She was tutored privately, and learned many subjects about the universe. In addition, she learned the ways of fabrialcraft. On her twenty-first birthday, she was given a pulp soulcaster by her parents. She was then given a large amount of crysts, and sent out to find her own place in the world. Crow still lives with her parents about a third of the time, and spends the rest of her time in a large apartment in the richer section of town. Only recently have her funds started to dwindle.

Personality/Psyche: Skeptical and good humored. Does not put much stock into many of the topics he writes about, but with his upbringing he cannot think of the DA as being at the very least a little less than mythological despite himself.

Appearance: Typically, does not show up to work in anything more than a button-down with the sleeves rolled up and slacks or khaki joggers if they let him.

Fighting Style:  Evasive, tries to outlast his opponents before making a break for it or if necessary, delivering a quick take down.

    @Ashbringer Byron, Cassie, Tyrian

    Spoiler

    Cassie

    Spoiler

    Name: Cassandra "Cassie" Adama

Physical Characteristics: A short woman in her 40's-ish with a regal but kind bearing, tends to wear lavender dresses with a lot of pockets, wears a glove/a sleeve of fabric covering her left forearm to cover her safehand and her metal skin in places.

Investiture: A-Iron Misting (Lurcher), Soulcaster Savant. As a savant, can Soulcast more precisely than most, which helps create Allomantically optimum metals and converting the correct substance.

Skills: Okay at Lurcher and knife combat (tends to throw knives, "miss", and Pull them into her opponent's back). A skilled metalurgist, Soulcaster, and craftsman - can create the 16 Allomantic metals, as well as industrial steel, titanium, mercury, and alkali metals like sodium (but nothing radioactive).

Equipment: A Soulcaster that only uses amythests (Soulcasts things into metals). A few knives and throwing razors, some aluminum, some steel.

Weakness: Parts of her body are turning to metal, making her stiff. Her entire left hand/forearm is now more steel than skin: it still operates as a hand, but only just. Cassie doesn't like to fight, but she can also be very vengeful: be a good customer and she'll be very kind. Stiff her payment and she'll throw you out. Threaten her and she'll Pull the roof down on you, Soulcast you to titanium, and turn you into a statue to decorate her shop. Or, she may just sell you sodium flakes for you to ingest instead of steel ones. Don't cross her.

Family: Has a friendly relationship with [name redacted - my third character], and acts kindly to anyone who returns the favor. Family is back home on Scadrial, and she sends letters on occasion.

    Home Planet: Scadrial

Backstory: Cassie was born just before the Catecendre, originally Snapped by the mists as a baby. She helped rebuild Scadrial, but never really fit in, so she worldhopped to Roshar alongside Tyrian and [redacted] and procurred herself a Soulcaster from an ardent who didn't take kindly to her. She decided to settle down somewhere and set up a Soulcasting shop, and chose the Alleyverse. She now sells Allomantic metals to whomever asks and acts kindly, but is getting worried about the progression of her savanthood and somewhat yearns for the adventures she had in her youth.

Guild: Unaffiliated, but may join one guild if an opposing one slights her.

Personality: Kind to everyone except those who are not kind to others - but she tends to be distant from most.

Theme Song (optional): [None for now.]

Fighting Style: Doesn't like fighting, but tends to throw knives and use her A-Iron, and Soulcast aggressively as a last resort.

    Tyrian

    Spoiler

Name: Tyrian Tekiel (formerly Willum Tekiel)

Physical Characteristics: A very tall (about 7ft) man with gray skin and ruby-red [in one case, literally] eyes. Tends to wear gray clothing, a cape, and a small gray fedora, all somewhat tattered.

Investiture: A-Chromium Misting (Leecher), 2nd Ideal Dustbringer, koloss-blooded with a single (very degraded) koloss (iron/strength) spike. [The spike is more there to justify how koloss-like he is in appearance/demeanor than it is to strengthen him, but does have some effect.]

Oaths: Life before death, Strength before weakness, Journey before destination. I will destroy those who stand for evil. [Removed “only”]

Skills: A skilled warrior in hand-to-hand combat, but only an amateur with weapons – and he tends to think he’s better than he actually is. Can be quite intimidating. Knows a bit about Hemalurgy in regards to Surges, but otherwise has below average intelligence. [moved from weaknesses]

Equipment: Carries two aluminum sickles, has one perfect ruby gemstone.

(He also has, on his person but not within him, about 5 spikes granting a weakened Division surge. However, using them would "kill" his spren.)

Weaknesses: Anger-related weaknesses: Essentially has only the two koloss emotions, boredom and fury (and some level of fear). HATES Skybreakers, and will attack anyone he suspects of being a Skybreaker unless calmed down. (He associates flying with Skybreakers, so Windrunners and Coinshots will also set him off, but if they can prove their non-Skybreaker-ness Tyrian usually won't attack. He associates Division with Dustbringers: a Skybreaker using Dvision may fool him, but if he finds out the truth…) [this isn't meant as an extra weakness for points, just something that Tyrian thinks.]

He doesn’t understand his oath very well, and his nature tends to contradict it, so his powers can weaken as his spren starts disagreeing with his actions. His spren also tends to try and reign him in, to varying levels of success. Has a paralyzing fear of heights (or more accurately, falling from said heights). Also is missing one eye - his perfect ruby is currently in his eye socket.

Family: Has his ashspren, Cinder (he looks like a flamespren, but more gray than orange), who tries to keep his rage focused on the right thing. His family from Scadrial is scattered, and he doesn't know them. Had a koloss father and a Scadrian mother, neither of whom expected the traits a koloss-blooded would bring. He doesn’t care much about any of them.

    Home Planet: Scadrial

Backstory: Willum Tekial was in one of the first few generations after the Catacendre, born as one of the first koloss-blooded and a Chromium Misting. After being largely shunned by his human companions, who couldn't understand his nature or his powers, he almost joined the koloss, but was unprepared for being physically spiked and fled, receiving only one spike in the back of his spine, which he barely remembers exists. Unable to join human or koloss on Scadrial, he worldhopped to Roshar (along with Cassie and Byron - the three know each other, but aren't close friends) and took the name Tyrian, after the ashmount of old. Abandoned by almost everyone and considered a monster by Rosharians, he eventually discovered Cinder and started to bond. But his spike was changing him, making his skin look like ash and his eyes red. Two young Skybreakers eventually heard rumors of a lone Voidbringer or possible Surgebinder in the Rosharian wastes, and confronted him. Instead of killing him directly, the pair decided to launch him into the air and try to finish him off when he landed; but they were unprepared for a strong Dustbringer bond, the power of chromium, and his sheer rage. Tyrian left that scene with a tremendous fear of falling, a hatred of Skybreakers, and two highspren trapped in smokestone. He then came to the Alleyverse, hearing rumors of ways to perhaps gain the power to get his revenge - or his peace.

Guild: Unaffiliated for now, but will be very interested in any rumors of the DA or Voidmaking. [I agree that Tyrian going down the DA path would highly clash with his oaths, but Tyrian’s always been on the edge of his oaths anyway. Breaking his oath in a search for power from his Division spikes or the DA is something he could easily end up doing if pressured in the right direction.]

Personality/Psyche: Koloss-like, nonchalant and uncaring most of the time, although not to the point of being uncivilized. Has a temper that is slow to rise (unless a Skybreaker appears) but turns him into a frenzied warrior – in most cases, his spren will try and calm him down before a fight starts, although it’s only successful if the other party isn’t antagonizing Tyrian. Not smart enough to realize when he's being fooled or led on, but can deduce it if it becomes obvious. Highly ambitious when it comes to finding new powers he can use to destroy his enemies.

Theme Song: Tyrian prefers silence [and I don't listen to much music...]

Fighting Style: Generally, stays out of a combat he isn’t involved in, unless something angers him. Such as someone using Gravitation, attacking a fellow Dustbringer, accidentally running into him, or merely looking at him the wrong way. If forced into close quarters, he'll use his sickle (poorly), get in close, then grab his opponent and start Dustbringing.

    Byron

    Spoiler

    Name: Byron

Physical Characteristics: A young boy of about 16 who's seen a lot for his "young" age. Wears a nondescript brown traveling cloak over some leather clothing for protection. Looks like most skaa, and has worked hard to be unnoticible.

Investiture: A-Cadmium Savant. Savant Abilities: Can "carry" his bubble with him instead of it being stuck in space. Can also highly manipulate the bubble, changing it from extending only a foot around him to about the size of a small room, and changing the time compression from 9/10ths normal speed to 1/100ths speed, although the change takes proportional real-time to take place (ie he can't instantly drop out of a flared time bubble, unless his cadmium runs out). Also can "feel" disruptions along the bubble's edge as things enter, which sometimes helps him react, but can also cause severe pain for objects losing a lot of momentum. [If any of this seems too broken, I can change it. A WoB says a savant can keep his bubble with him, but most of the rest/specific numbers are just made up by me.]

Skills: Unnaturally quick reaction time, and skilled at theivery and general agility. Decent at hand-to-hand combat but hopeless with any weapon larger than a dagger.

Equipment: Generally carries little, only a glass knife or two, a lot of powdered cadmium flasks, and whatever he's managed to steal.

Weakness: Savant weaknesses: MUST burn cadmium (at least on a low level) at all times to avoid being poisoned by concentration of cadmium he usually has within him (more a trait of the actual metal and than his savant status). His sense along his edge causes him some level of pain and exerts some level of force, even if the object is stationary while he is moving. Bouncing around time speeds so much has also taken a lot of his Connection (spiritually and personality-wise) and increased his anti-social tendencies: he doesn't see the value in friends or society, and has a difficult time making friends he knows will be gone the next time he has to skip.

Other weaknesses: awful balance outside of his bubble (due to instinctive counteracting of the forces from the edge). If his cadmium runs out suddenly, he'll collapse. A kleptomaniac to some degree: he likes stealing random trinkets as well as money.

Aluminum "weakness": generally, it's accepted that aluminum breaks time bubbles, but Byron is stronger than most. As a result, aluminum only partially breaks the bubble: an aluminum object will move in real-time while anything else is slowed. A large aluminum object can break the bubble, and being trapped in aluminum will prevent him from making one. As a result, Byron can't carry aluminum. [This isn't really necessary if it seems too complicated/potent, but with the frequency of aluminum weaponry in the Alleyverse it would be a cool defense and limitation].

Family: From Scadrial, a loving family that just didn't understand cadmium. Long dead from his own time-skips. He misses them, somewhat, but can hardly go back since he's technically the ancestor of 1/10th of the Elendel population (or so he fears). Knows Cassie from a long time ago,

    Home Planet: Scadrial.

Backstory: Byron was born on Scadrial soon after the Catacendre, and soon Snapped with his new Cadmium powers, which no one seemed to understand. He had friends with some of the other Mistings of his generation (namely Willum/Tyrian and Cassie), but didn't fit in very well. Along with Tyrian and Cassie he worldhopped to Roshar, where he and Cassie grew closer as Tyrian went of to wreak havoc to adventure on his own. Cassie helped him with cadmium creation, but after his own tendency for theft got him in trouble with a local Shardbearer, Byron hyper-flared for the first time, skipping over years within about a week. He discovered his pseudo-addiction to cadmium, and found Cassie had left Roshar leaving him enough cadmium to last a lifetime. It soon ran out. Byron followed Cassie's footsteps to the Alleyverse in search of more cadmium, not even sure if they knew eachother anymore. They have (or will) re-met, but Byron's lack of age means their relationship, like many of Byron's, is distant and old.

Guild: Unaffiliated for now. He doesn't see the point.

Personality: Tends to be easygoing but anti-social. Will briefly get to know people, steal from them, and vanish, but he sticks with his gut on who to steal from, and won't steal from those he think would retaliate or would help him in some way. He doesn't like antagonizing people but generally will retaliate if provoked.

Fighting Style: Tends to flare his cadmium if he gets into a fight: this makes him look slower than he is, and when attackers enter his time bubble he becomes much more dangerous.

    A Windrunner

Weakness: He is overprotective of his friends always worried something will happen if he leaves (-10)

Family: Siena Risil(mother) and Lindo Risil(Father) both are deceased

    Home Planet: Roshar

    @bees? Arkaitz/Silas

    Spoiler

    Arkaitz

    Spoiler

Name: Arkaitz (“tz” makes a sibilant “ts” in Basque) Ducharme. His Epic name was Sorgin.

Physical Characteristics: He changes his body and appearance to match his outfits, but he usually stays pretty lean and around 178 cm in height, with his only truly consistent feature being his glowing lavender eyes.

Epic Powers: Whenever he wishes, which is most of the time, he is the single most attractive person alive regardless of his appearance, clothing, or other features. He can also change his body shape, facial structure, skin color, hair color, etc. However, he cannot change the color of his eyes. His final power is regeneration, theoretically on par with that of Limelight.

Skills: He is a professional acrobat, skilled chef, and a decent shot. He also speaks French and Basque perfectly, and English with an incredibly mild accent.

Equipment: Usually just the expensive clothes on his back and some form of weapon, like a handgun or knife.

Epic Weakness: The flower of Carlina acaulis, the wild thistle. He must know the flower is present for it to function, and it must be intact.

Other Weaknesses: While he does possess an incredible healing ability, it is not perfect: he must heal everything intentionally, not just waiting and letting things heal themselves, and he must know how they would heal (cuts and stab wounds are easy, but things like a penetrated lung are more difficult). Also, he does not enjoy being rejected. At all. Seriously. He is quite used to getting what he wants.

Family: Arantxa (Mother, Basque), Maximilien (Father, French), assorted siblings.

Home Planet: Alternate Reckoners Earth (The one that had Invocation, not Calamity)

Backstory: Arkaitz was born to a poor family living in the French countryside, and grew up as one of many hungry mouths that needed to be fed. As such, he wished for an escape, and when the cirque came to his town, he decided he would leave with them, starting his life as an acrobatic performer. Many years later, when Invocation rose in the sky, he began to gain strange new powers. He began to manipulate those around him, and eventually incurred the attention of a very powerful Epic, who, in an attempt to reduce competition, tried to teleport Sorgin to a dead universe, but instead sent him to the Alleyverse.

Guild: Does not exist this Era, but will next Era.

    Psyche: Unbelievably twisted.

Personality: He is a very manipulative and cruel person, but outwardly he seems kind and charismatic. Also, he is a very promiscuous person, with literally anyone.

Appearance: Again, it changes, but always unbelievably attractive.

Theme Song: “Putting on the Ritz” by Mel Tormé

Fighting StyleHe usually prefers to talk to people so he can get close and then slip a knife between their ribs or a gun under their chin

    Silas

    Spoiler

Name: Silas, but he’d probably just scream/attempt murder if you asked him.

Physical Characteristics: Silas is a tall man, gaunt from years of imprisonment and horribly scarred and disfigured from his life of crime and drugs.

    InvestitureAmberite Aether and Night Aether.

Skills: Silas has trained and achieved incredible combative skill with his Aethers.

Equipment: Usually nothing, as with an Amberite Aether, he can create nearly anything he could want.

Weakness: First off, he is certifiably insane. He often treats others around him like children or toys, and if he feels the need to protect them, he will do so obsessively, and if he is in one’s debt, he will always pay it off. That, however, is only one small part of it, the rest of which will be explained below.

    Spoiler

Silas is beginning to remember a lot from his past life. A lot. Being already broken mentally seems to have let some things seep into his brain, and without that “seepage”, he would likely have been stable enough (barely) to live a moderately normal life. However, ever since a young age, the seeds of insanity passed down through his family had made him susceptible to seeing ‘things’ from a different life. Sometimes he’ll find one of his ‘old’ friends and won’t stop following them until he either realizes that they aren’t his friend or decides that he doesn’t want to be friends with them anymore. Other times, he’ll see things. Not little octopodes, but delusions of true grandeur. A common one is that he’s leading a symphony, or that he is taller, stronger, and far more dangerous than he truly is. Sometimes he’ll see his own body, coated in fire and burning on the ground, and he’ll feel the what radiating off of the flames and feel his skin crackle. And sometimes, he’ll see nothing at all.

FamilyHis family is dead, for the most part, but he has two daughters, who he does not know of, from a relationship with Ambrosia, the daughters being Nectar and Asa.

    Home Planet: Alleyplanet

Backstory: Silas was born to an incredibly wealthy family (a fact he still does not know), and after his parents died a mysterious death, he was sent to live with his grandfather. A few years later, his grandfather’s house burned down, and Silas ran away to live on the streets. He continued to run among the underbelly of the city for the majority of his life until he was alerted of a man who wanted to meet him. This man trained him to become a weapon, and the true Silas began to emerge. However, this man who trained him pushed what many would have considered too far, and Silas broke. He tried to fake normalcy, but when his back was turned, he snapped the neck of his master and ran away. He found a planet with a powerful Investiture, and as he had lived without any Investiture his whole life, he obtained some and returned to the Alleyplanet He was caught by the authorities, who quickly realized that he was quite insane. He resided in a mental institution for many years of his life, until he became far too dangerous to live there with the rest of the patients, so on the night of the Festival, a van was sent to transfer him to a supermax prison.

    GuildN/A

Psyche: Hmmmmm I have no idea what his mind is like.

PersonalityIf he weren’t absolutely insane, he’d be a kind of chill person.

Appearance: Silas is tall and lean, with gaunt cheekbones, a bald head, scarred face, and a ragged beard.

Theme Song: They’re Coming to Take Me Away”

Fighting Style: Catch people off-guard and fight to win, not survive.

    @Bridge-Four Caulef

    Spoiler

    Name:  Caulef Jesvihar

Physical Characteristics:   Slender, Hawk-like face, grey eyes(Post Radiance) and blond hair. Mostly wears black.

Investiture: Lightweaver of the first oath

Skills: Intelligent, Skilled in Melee Weapon Combat, an average thief.

Equipment:  A halberd, a glass dagger and a book, always a book.

Weakness: Socially awkward [Is hesitant while in conversation until he knows someone(That is, had a few conversations with them before and if they seem trustworthy)], first oath, hates TUBA [Would openly snarl at them and keep cursing them under his breath if he cannot outright confront them.], myopic[He is socially functional, but say if an an an arrow is coming toward him, his eyes just won't be able to see it, before it is at max 7-10 feet away from him and that too if he squints quite hard.], gets blindly loyal [He must have had spent some time with them, his and their thoughts should be on similar lines, would see them as his family and would try to do the best for them, maybe even leave a TUBA alive to save them first.].

    Family His spren Mystery.

    Home Planet: Roshar

Backstory: Growing up in the underground had a deep impact on Caulef, when he was ten his... no, NO! Nothing happened, nothing! He grew up aspiring to be the head of  a guild, TUBA, but they... they... , he just hated them now, if he came to know a TUBAn he would sidetrack any goal- be it saving the world itself, to duel the person, to the death if need be! Because he couldn't make friends when he was young, he made books his pals. He had a master once, he taught him the stances with the spear. He never focused on them, he wanted to learn the skills of the road and he did learn them, but he was not gifted in them. When he came back, he found his master dead, he was killed by a TUBA. Caulef was furious, he went to a master blacksmith spent all of his spheres on buying a halbred. He spent days and months and years mastering and along the way he found a friend, Mystery and soon they Bonded.

Guild: Currently unaffiliated, now aspires to be in the upper reaches of TDA

Personality:  Extremely loyal, witty, not very talkative, has PTSD

Fighting Style: Uses Lightweaving extensively, menacing with the halberd, in close combat he uses his dagger. Creative with Soulcasting.

    @BringerOfLight Captain Brintlytn Flightless

    Spoiler

    Name: Captain Brintlytn Flightless

Investiture: Radiant, Skybreaker of the Third Ideal.

Oaths: 1) Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination. 2) I swear to exact justice to brother, to stranger, to great and small alike, impartially.  3) I swear myself to the Code of the Pirates.

Code of the Pirates: Search up "Bartholomew Robert's pirate code"

Skills: Gravitation, Division, swashbuckling (with a Shardblade), worldhopping, piracy, music

Equipment: A small wooden flute- it's not older than you can comprehend, because he made it himself- and various other instruments. His Shardblade normally takes the form of a nice cutlass, when in the Physical Realm. In the spiritual realm, he carries a regular cutlass.

Weakness: Brash and reckless, and somewhat naïve, doesn't take anything seriously, has severe mental trauma that he locks away, but if that can of worms is opened, he will go nearly catatonic. He constantly has nightmares and flashbacks, which is why he needs to keep himself occupied by playing music when he doesn't want to think about his past, which is a secret from his crew.

Family: His sister, Glron, currently training under a babsk.

Home Planet: Roshar, although CURRENTLY lives on Shadesmar's open seas

BackstoryHis parents were both leaders of Thaylen merchant guilds, and he would tag along with them to their visits to Urithuru. He went with them when they hunted for a chasmfiend, and, unfortunately, the hunt didn't go well. He saw the chasmfiend tear his parents apart, and swore the First Ideal to rescue his baby sister, whom his parents had brought along despite everyone telling them not to. He and his sister then trekked alone all the way back to Urithuru, where he was recognized as a Skybreaker. His sister returned to Thaylenah. He was trained to Squireship, when his master took him to Urithuru, and they hitched a ride to Shadesmar with an Elsecaller. While the two pursued justice in the city of Silverlight, his master was murdered before his eyes by a mere street thief. Brin ran all the way to the coast, and hopped on a spren pirate ship. He took on the name "Flightless" and swore his Third Ideal towards the Pirate Code. He was raised further up the chain for his physical and battle prowess, and granted his own small ship from the spren captain, which Brin named the Yondersail. His highspren, Trillium, is his first mate, and they never leave each other's sides. They literally can't. He lives primarily on his ship in Shadesmar, but periodically makes his way to Alleycity, because the cookies there are too storming good.

    Guild: Skybreakers

Psyche: Quick thinking and light on his feet, but is exceptionally traumatized by seeing his parents eaten by a chasmfiend, as well as blaming himself for the death of his master.

Personality: Loud, enthusiastic, reckless, and humorous. Always quick to a smile, joke, and a laugh. He's a charming swashbuckler.

Theme Song: He's a Pirate from Pirates of the Caribbean

    Fighting Style: Swashbuckling

Character summary: Captain Brintlytn Flightless, rogue Skybreaker turned to piracy. Quick to a quip and grin, he's a charming swashbuckler with a small ship, dubbed the Yondersail.

    @CahiraCelosial Lina

    Spoiler

    Lina

    Spoiler

    Name: Lina Doomseeker

Physical Characteristics: Tall, shoulder length-ish frizzy light brown hair that covers her left eye (hides a scar), hazel eyes, dark shadows under her eyes, olive skin, big feet. She's about thirty.

Skills:  Trained for 7 years in woodcarving, 5 months in healing, and about 2 years training to use knives in melee combat, soother

Equipment: Two knives on her belt (one of them's a carving knife), and one in her boot

Weakness: hates the sight of blood, freezes up quite a bit when she sees a lot of it (-10), when she gets super self-concious, her movements get rigid and she tends to ramble easier (-5), gets stuck in her head easily (-5)

Family: A five-year-old that she accidentally 'adopted' off the streets who calls herself Cuba.

    Home Planet: Scadrial

Backstory: She was a little bit ignored as a child, so she got out of her home as soon as she turned 18 but it did mean her parents didn't notice when she was taking classes on knife use for two years, started learning woodcarving from her uncle to have a decent flow of income when she left, gave a little girl on the streets a couple boxings and a slice of bread, and then the girl started following her around, and she just couldn't get rid of the kid, so she just went with it. Realized belatedly that she had no clue about how to take care of a small child, so she's doing her best, but if she messes up, don't judge her. Also learned healing at that point, because this is a little kid that she has to take care of, she better know how to take care of her.  Anyway, she was wandering around with Cuba when she ended up in the Alleyverse. she was definitely confused, but she just went with it.

Guild: Unaffiliated as of now, has her eye on a guild

Psyche: Generally mostly good natured and happy, kind of stern, but gets self conscious fairly regularly.

Fighting Style: Hit the enemy when they least expect it, hit them where it hurts, and RUN.

    @Channelknight Fadran Jessica

    Spoiler

    Name: Jessica

Physical Characteristics: Just check Appearance. It's all there.

    Investiture: Copper Ferring (30 points)

Skills: Mastermind (65 pts), Scholarship - Skilled (30 points)

    Equipment: Copper Spike (40 pts)

Weakness: Jessica may or may not have PTSD, which can trigger whenever the plot requires it at random.

Family: Like all good villains with a tragic backstory, Jessica doesn't have any family!

Home Planet: Scadrial, I suppose. I guess that's where she got her spike from.

Backstory: Her dad was an unsuccessful merchant, and her mom was abusive. Jessica ran away from home as a child, growing up in a coven of creepy cultist Mistings (that was all train of thought, so don't expect too much detail there. I'm going to pretend like I'm being vague to hide her scarring childhood, but in reality, I'm just unsure). Basically, this led her to becoming an EVIL SUPERVILLAIN MASTERMIND making out to conquer the Alleyverse.

Guild (can be unaffiliated): Her own. She calls it "Supervillains Incorporated." Its membership count is currently 1.

Psyche (can be combined with personality if neccessary):

Personality: She's got a bit of an ego, but it's maneagable. Most of the time, she's just spunky and optimistic. For an evil mastermind, she's really protagonist-y.

Appearance: Tall and wiry, with long silver hair that she weaves into a crown she wears. Her eyes are a striking jade green, and her skin tone is... uhh... I don't scudding know. I'm kinda picturing a light tannish-brown, though. Her outfit's colorscheme is royal blue and gold (just... gonna throw that out there so I don't have to repeat colors over and over again). She wears layers of robe-like clothing, all laid on top of each other to make a mesmerizing combinations of creases and folds. She has a black leather cape draped over one shoulder, and nothing over the other except a golden armband. Jessica also has some pretty dope-looking leather boots that are only partially hidden by her layers of cloth. (Hopefully I can threaten hire someone to draw her).

    Ooooorrr could draw her...

Fighting Style: Hehe, what made you think that she had any combat prowess whatsoever? Her entire thing is directing armies, which is a wasted skill when there are no armies to direct.

    @Durrin Coal Keen

    Spoiler

    Name: Coal Keen

Physical Characteristics: somewhere in his 20's (who keeps track of these things anyway?) Looked thin but is strong with a tan skin complexion. He always has messed up hair. Often wears ragged shorts and T-shirt and he almost never wears shoes.

    Investiture: Alomancy-steel [40]

Skills: Average skill with projectile combat [45], Amateur skill with melee weapons [20], and skilled in thievery [40].

Equipment: Two aluminium knifes, several vials of steel.

Weakness: Extreme hatred towards all hemalergy users causing him to refuse to work with any of them and go into a rage while fighting them. [Although his self preservation is slightly higher than this hate . Meaning that he won't attack one unprovoked unless he is certain that he can get away with it.] Slow to trust.

Family: brother named Josh was a lurcher. Parents Hemalergic dealers. All dead or presumed dead.

    Home Planet: Scandrial

Backstory: Cole was born on Scandrial. His brother Josh and him both snapped at a young age. Their parents were part of an underground Hemalurgic dealership and when Josh and Cole snapped they were offered to either join the organization or die. Josh and Cole refused to join and were able to get away as their parents died in an attempt to save their kids. After being on the run for a while they eventually found themselves in the Alleyverse where Cole stayed alive by helping Josh steal stuff and sell them on the black market for money. Then one day Cole found Josh in an alleyway but was forced to hide and watch Josh as he was surrounded and killed by a group of Hemalurgic dealers. Now without his brother and the black market contacts he had, Cole has been searching ways to make a living and been training so that when it is his turn to face the hemalurgist he will be ready.

Guild (can be unaffiliated): Unaffiliated (for now)

Psyche/personality: Is generally pessimistic and shy but will often be stubborn and has a strong sense of self-preservation. He believes that the feet he was born with should be all he needs. He also blames the mistake of those around him on the fact of them wearing shoes. [I apologize. I don't really know what Psyche is. But I Hope I did good]

Theme Song (optional): He relates very much to "One Jump Ahead" from Aladdin

Fighting Style: Likes to attack by shooting small metal objects from a distance. If fighting multiple people he will shoot a spray of metal objects to confuse them and then try to get farther away as to shoot them from a distance. If that is not a possibility he tries to engage each person separately by jumping at them and using his knives to stab them while also using his Alomancy to exploit any metal on a person's body.

    @Die_eike Spike

    Spoiler

    Name:  Spike

Physical Characteristics:  a 18-year old woman, small but not thin, very muscular, hair cropped short, wears boy clothes

Investiture:  Caloric Awakening. Her intrinsic Breath is very strong (similar to, but less powerful than a Returned breath) and she can grow it by food intake, up to reaching the third heightening (+75).

Skills: Some martial arts and self-defence training (+20), can imitate voices and change her appearance to some degree (can change hair color and bodily appearance)(+?). Her strong Breath gives her an enhanced life sense, strength and durability. She is smart and likes to learn new things (+10).

    Equipment: colored tissues, rope, food

Weakness (-?): Is always hungry, always has to eat (even when not growing her Breath). If starved, she will consume her Breath and become a drab (which is reversible with food intake). Cannot control her emotions, which makes her a bad spy although she otherwise would have all the suitable physical skills. She is often sloppy with her Awakenings, leading to errors, as she trains it very little because she does not like it a lot (she hates getting hungry). She likes a fist fight better.

    Family: mother, brother, two half-sisters

    Home Planet: Nalthris

Backstory: Spike (Sekinnah) has to be descended from the Royal House somehow, but nobody (including herself) knows how. Grew up in a family of merchants, but parted ways when her father died and her mother married a man she did not like very much. Has a younger brother and two half-sisters. She doesn’t want to be linked with her rather rich family and wants make her own money. And this is where the trouble starts. She tries out any kind of job, including gardening, thieving, working in the kitchens, working as a scribe, a tutor (that one went wrong!) and lastly as a bodyguard. She has a curious interest in everything, but manages to spoil things one way or the other (usually, food is involved). She only uses her Awakening powers as a last resort when she really gets into trouble (but cannot really count on them saving her). Her goal is to try to find her place in the world and do something fun while stuffing her stomach. When she was accidentally taken on a trip by a worldhopper (yes, food was involved), she arrived in Alleycity.

    Guild (can be unaffiliated): unaffiliated

Psyche (can be combined with personality if neccessary): Likes to laugh and have fun and enjoy the good things in life. People might judge her superficial. Can get overly enthusiastic and optimistic about things, and gives nothing about the rules of social conduct. Has a trauma from losing her father and feels that she doesn’t have a place in the world, leading to restlessness. But that’s something she would never talk about. Instead, she would rather share a round of cookies with her friends.

    Personality: friendly, open, reckless, impulsive

Fighting Style: She loves throws, grapples, kicks and fist fights. Will also use tricks like swipes. When using her Awakening powers, she likes to command a rope to do ...stuff.

    @DramaQueen Rosalie/ Mania, Hugo Ortiz

    Spoiler

    Hugo

    Spoiler

    NameHugo Ortiz

Physical Characteristics: 6'3" 135 lbs. Brown hair, hazel eyes.

Investiture: 997 Breaths, 3 away from the Fourth Heightening.

SkillsBaking, which he uses his Breaths for in order to tell if his bakes are the perfect color. (He has discovered that everyone enjoys chocolate chip cookies when they're the second shade of golden brown.) He is also a great warrior.

EquipmentHis chef's hat, in which he keeps his extra 397 Breaths, a broadsword, and his grandmother's recipe book.

WeaknessHe'll always take a cookie, even if there's a danger of it being spiked.

FamilyHe was closest to his grandmother, who died just three months after he left to study to become a baker, so he bakes in her memory. Both of his parents are still living, as well as his three younger sisters and one younger brother, but he isn't nearly as close to any of them.

    Home PlanetNalthis

BackstoryWhen Hugo was five years old, his first younger sibling was about to be born, and he went to stay with his grandma while his parents were dealing with a newborn baby. His grandma had him help her bake. Everything. From pies to cookies to cakes to brownies and everything in-between. He fell in love with the entire process. Taking the exact amount of all the ingredients, combining them by mixing, stirring, or kneading, then watching it bake and all come together, observing the slow change of color as the desserts cooked through. From then on, he would visit his grandma to help her bake. He decided, then and there, that he would bake forever. He loved all of it, every small detail, but his favorite part of baking was when he would give the bakes to other people. Or, rather, once the recipient tasted the bake, he was pretty awkward and anxious about actually giving it to them. But once they had a taste of his food, their eyes would light up, a smile would grace the corner of their lips, and they wouldn't stop eating until they absolutely had to. He had a talent for making food, and he knew he would pursue it.

Every summer, he would stay with his grandma, baking all summer long, but when he was 16, his best friend, baking buddy, and confidant, his grandma, passed away. No one else in his family enjoyed baking, and it wasn't nearly as fun by himself. He missed having his grandmother by his side, throwing flour at each other, stealing bites of the dough when the other wasn't looking, and having someone to talk about everything with. It was hard to talk to other kids, they seemed to expect so much. When he tried to talk to his parents, they seemed not to care. His grandma, though, listened. She didn't ask for any more information than he was willing to give, and knew when he was looking for advice, whether he said it or not. And now, she was gone forever.

For about a year, he stopped baking. He began studying war and fighting techniques with his brother, deciding he might as well learn something useful. He retreated into his shell and never talked unless someone approached him first, which never happened. Until his senior year of high school, when a girl he had known since kindergarten, but hadn't ever spoken to, asked him why he didn't bake anymore. He was shocked, unsure of how she knew that he used to bake. She explained that, when they were younger, he and his grandmother had delivered a batch of cookies to her family when they were going through a hard time, so hard that her older brother had had to give up his Breath to one of the Returned in order to provide for them. She said that when her brother tasted one of the cookies, they couldn't tell that he was a Drab. The cookies gave them light, literally and figuratively, and she begged Hugo to continue baking.

When he returned home that day, he nervously started looking for a recipe for something to bake. In his small baking cupboard, which he hadn't opened since his grandmother's passing, was her chef's hat, apron, and her recipe book. He put on the hat and apron and opened the book to find a note from his grandma. It said, "Dear Hugo, I knew that I was going to have to die soon, so I left you this book, as well as my hat and apron. You always used to wonder how I knew exactly when to stop baking, and this book holds all of my secrets, and the hat holds all of my Breaths."

Hugo learned from the book that his grandmother had reached the Third Heightening and used it to determine when her treats were done based on their color. He began baking in this way, and continued until he reached the age of 19, (now,) and heard of a group called TUBA. Deciding that this would be a good opportunity to use both his baking and possibly his warrior skills, he applied to join them, and is still waiting to hear back from them.

GuildHe recently applied to become a TUBAist.

PsycheI think there's a word for it, but I can't think of it right now. He thinks through everything extremely thoroughly before taking action. Very cautious in decision-making, the opposite of spontaneous.

Personality: He is extremely shy, his approach to making new friends is usually to silently offer them a dessert, which often seems suspicious. However, once you get to know him, he is super funny, loves making dumb jokes, and is a great listener.

AppearanceTall, skinny, pale, brown hair, hazel eyes. He usually wears beige pants, a t-shirt referencing some obscure band, his grandma's favorite yellow apron, and a matching Awakened yellow chef's hat. He also has rectangular wire glasses.

Theme Song (optional): What Baking Can Do from Waitress: The Musical.

Fighting StyleHe uses a broadsword, aka one-handed arming sword, offence.

    Rosalie/ Mania

Physical CharacteristicsNormally- blonde hair blue eyes, defines the phrase "dumb blonde" Height: 4'11" but says 5" anytime anyone asks. Weight: 113 lbs.

As Mania- All anyone has ever seen is her fiery red hair and long, sharp nails.

InvestitureNone, but she doesn't need it.

Skills: As Rosaleine: She makes a pretty good secretary, if she remembers to write stuff down.

As Mania: Great at murdering under the radar, all anyone knows is her murderous appearance.

Equipment: She needs no weapon but her nails. As Rosaleine, she usually has at least one writing utensil stuck in her hair.

Weakness: She has no idea who her third identity is, but they are the one who decides who to kill. She calls them unknow. She also kills in a way that doesn't always kill, so she has to keep it as quiet as possible, which is extremely difficult.

Family: Two brothers, one sister, a mother, and a father, but they don't matter.

Home PlanetVax, but travels between worlds indiscriminately.

Backstory: I'll get back to you on that...

    GuildAnarchy Incorporated (secretary)

Psyche: Legitimately EVIL as Mania. As Rosaleine, she just acts dumb.

PersonalityTypical dumb blonde as Rosaleine, unfeeling as Mania

AppearanceRosaleine: Long, straight blonde hair, short, perky, bubbly, literally picture Elle Woods from Legally Blonde basically. As Mania, wears a red wig, extremely good quality, all black, a hood hiding her face, black gloves that attach to her hands like a second skin with extremely long, extremely sharp metal nails.

Theme Song (optional): I'll get back to you on that.

Fighting Style: Rosaleine doesn't fight, but Mania murders. Rosaleine will often get home from work and find a phonebook open on the counter, with a name circled. She can tell that it is her circle, her handwriting, so it is her third identity that she knows nothing about and never remembers being: unknow. After Rosaleine finds the phonebook, Mania takes over. She puts on her recognizable outfit, then goes to find the random person that unknow selected as their next victim. She is extremely good at going unnoticed, even in her obvious outfit, and gets her victim cornered. Using the long fake nails attached to her gloves, she stabs the person under their chin, in the soft area beneath their mouth. She then hangs them by their lower jawbone on the nearest hook or tree branch, then leaves them to die.

    @Elend Venture Nuemark/ Damon

    Spoiler

    Nuemark

    Spoiler

    Name: Nuemark Bordeux

Investiture: Knight Radiant: Skybreaker 4th ideal.

Spren: Annette, a quiet and serious yet optimistic Highspren. She rarely shows herself to anyone, even Nuemark unless in shardblade form.

Special Skills and/or additional tools and weapons: Sleek, mid-size, automatic pistol. It has a single-stack magazine capable of holding eleven rounds and a four inch barrel. Spren, Annette. She turns into a 6 foot long, double fullered, straight blade, as broad as four fingers with an 'L' shaped spike near the tip and a Scandinavian grind. The spike is about 9 inches long and a diamond cross section. She has long, slender, quillions and a straight nagel. Bordeux is skilled at fighting with both his pistol and his "Nett-blade". He  is a sound tactician.

    Age29

Weaknesses: Not altogether sane. Too trusting. Very strong moral compass (not always a weakness). Follows laws of his guild to the letter (as any skybreaker should).

Physical characteristics: Male, 6ft, 165 lbs, jett black hair, worn at a medium length, and parted in the middle, icy blue eyes (previously a muddy green). Upturned nose. Arched eyebrows. Athletic. Often wears a charcoal crombie over a dark maroon vest with a black cravat, chocolate colored, button down  shirt, and slacks with wingtips.

Family: Father, Mother, Brother, Brother, (Father and first brother disceased).

    Home Planet: Roshar

History/Biography: Born 20 years before the Everstorm,  Nuemark Bordeux was raised unaware of his father's heritage. His father was a Scadrian worldhopper who settled down with a dark eyed woman in Roshar and started a family. Nuemark was second of three sons. He grew up normally fairly normally, as an Alethi stonemason's son. Eventually he ended up being pressed into the army as a spearman when he was 17. His father was pressed in at the same time, as was his older brother. They had to leave Nuemark's brother and mother unprotected, but sent a portion or thier pay back through mail.

He was a quite moral young man and hated to hurt anyone as he did, but was compelled to do so as it was against the law to disobey those above you in the chain of command, and his father had always taught him to obey the law at nearly all costs. The three of them were seperated under different command. Nuemark became a very proficient fighter, however he had developed a dangerous habbit of pulling his blows right before they hit when he didn't make a conscious decision to attack someone. He also avoided lethal blows when he could, both of which he stll does to this day.            They were soon relocated to the shattered shattered plains and within a month of fighting, Bordeux was notified that both his father and brother died in the same battle. He was devastated and abandoned his strong morals for some time, embracing the chaos, leaving cold skill and power, killing parshendi with such brutality and efficiency that he soon became quite infamous. He eventually found relief from his madness in following the laws which he was always taught to the letter, compulsively. Darkathna, who had been watching him for some time, then bonded with him and their relationship somewhat helped his sanity. The shattered plains campaign ended, and Nuemark had spoken the first two ideals. He was released from duty. He checked in on his younger brother and mother, now running the farm quite well, and went off to the Alleyverse to conquer it's injustice. He ran across the Ghostbloods, hoping to bring them to justice, met the people in the guild and decided to swear to their law instead. Unfortunately, Nuemark still suffers from frequent intrusive thoughts and images of  commiting violent acts upon many people he meets, particularly those he cares about. He obsesses over these and comes up with ways to convince himself that the "man in the thoughts" is not him, chiefly through compulsive behavior, such as regularly placing a hand on each of his weapons in turn, to prove to himself that just because he has them, doesn't mean he has to kill with them; always washing his hands after combat, whether it be mere sparring or a battle in which he killed half dozen, though it seems to him that he receives more frequent images the greater violence in which he is involved. He doesn't tell anyone but Annette about the internal struggles he has and thus, despite being charismatic before the war, he does seem rather closed off to most people these days.

    Guild: Ghostbloods

    Oaths:

Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination.

I swear to seek justice, to let it guide me, until I find a more perfect Ideal.

I swear to the will and laws of the Ghostbloods. This is  my Oath.

I will seek out traitors and oathbreakers in the Alleyverse and bring them to justice. This is my Oath.

They ran off to the forest together to avoid the attack of the Lord Ruler as they raised a family. Second youngest, Damon's mother died in childbirth when he was five years old. His baby sister survived their mother and the brothers did there best to run the house while there father, presumed dead, by the nobles, worked as a skaa craftsman running a carpentry shop. He brought grain back to his family back in the forest. When he was 17 Damon snapped, attacked by a panther while chopping lumber in the forest for his fathers carpentry shop. He went to Luthadel a year later to work at the workshop. In his sixth month there his father went back visiting the family and did not return for weeks on end. He rarely stayed away longer than a week. After a month Damon returned to his family's house in the forest and found that the empire had tailed his father when he traveled to see the rest of the family. The whole family excepting Damon was raided by the Canton of Inquisition sometime in those weeks, evidence suggests sooner than later, with no survivors. Thereafter he began his personal war on the Empire. He learned to employ his powers in assassination, working with whatever crews that were causing damage to the Final Empire, the Ministries, or noblemen. At the fall of The Final Empire, Damon was not sure what to do and ended up as a freelance assassin as he enjoyed the work in a dark and primal way, and he was already a skilled killer. He never stopped burning steel, and thus has become a savant. Damon is competitive and will generally take any opportunity to prove himself. He is also a Survivorist and the proprietor of the flailing tavern The Bleeding Spike.

Personality: Completely emotionless. Lacks a startle reflex and a flight-or-flight response. Current objective: assimilation of all cosmere knowledge. Will stop at nothing to complete the objective. No sense of morals.

Fighting Style: Sniping the enemy from a distance. If this is impossible, traps and/or explosives.

    @Gneorndin Vis

Skills: Melee weapon training, Intelligence, Thievery

Equipment: staff, old cloak, brownie, knives (metal, aluminum plated) larkin

Weakness: Temper (Holds grudges for pranks, disagreements, etc. Grudges often stop her from working effectively with someone she’s angry at. When she’s angry she takes it out on the world, not just whoever she;s angry at (ex. Snapping at anyone who talks to her.)), Loner (Can work with people if she has to, but keeps self to self and hates when others pry.), Truthful (Is iffish with implications and ok with not answers, other than that: tells the truth – unless telling the truth would be extremely dangerous. Gives vague answers, sometimes refuses to answer.), Overly cautious, always has her back to the wall, collects pebbles from everywhere new she goes, helps any hurt cremlings that will let her, 1st oath, Brokenness for bond to form* (see backstory). Hate's Ghostbloods. Hates working with them, hates their guts, actively tries to hunt them down and murder them or get them assassinated. May join their ranks in order to kill them better.

Guild: Hall of the Surges, Canton of Combat

    @HippoPhileus/ Ari

    Spoiler

    Name: Arington Peras (nickname: Ari)

Physical Characteristics: Male, human, of average strength.

Investiture: The seon Sao (means intelligence, learning: for communication, information, and spying +5)

Skills: Ari is skilled (+50) in melee weapons and average (+20) in hand-to-hand combat. A intelligent (+20) human, he is skilled (+25) at healing, and has dabbled in the hemalurgic arts (the theoretical, not the physical) and creation of fabrials. To help him in his studies, Ari is skilled (+30) at analysis and has studied investiture for the past ten years (in an attempt to discover the secret of changing the type of investiture from one Shard’s investiture to another).

Equipment: Shardblade (+30), knife, a satchel used for notes and research, some tent stakes (which lack any sort of investiture…:D)

Weakness: Ari’s attention is often caught by interesting things (a weakness in combat or while trying to focus), but more importantly he is afraid of himself. He fears that he will strike out in anger and hurt someone he loves (see psyche). His intermittent explosive disorder is also a weakness (-30)

Family: Ari’s father and mother (now shades) were from Scadrial, and came to Threnody before the system became a mess. He had one sister (now a shade) and no brothers. Ari is not aware of any other relations in the Alleyverse.

Home Planet: Ari is from Threnody. According to him, it is “not a vacation home.”

Backstory: Ari was born on Threnody to Shari and Kalidran Peras, near the Forests of Hell. His parents came from Scadrial and settled there before Ambition, Mercy, and Odium’s fight. Before the shades, Ari would sit in the Forests for hours studying all kinds of plant and animal life. Tragedy struck when, several years later in a bout of rage, he accidentally killed his parents. Traumatized, it took Ari a long time to recover. To distract himself from his past, Ari began researching investiture. This search for information led him to the wider universe at the age of 17. While visiting Roshar, Ari accidently killed a Shardbearer (never lean your back against a large boulder on a cliff, it might hit someone. Would you call this luck? For Ari, maybe, but not for the Shardbearer) and bonded the Blade. Ari continues to travel the Alleyverse researching investiture where and when he can.

    Guild: currently unaffiliated

Psyche: Ari has intermittent explosive disorder (a real thing), where he has repeated, sudden episodes of impulsive, aggressive, violent behavior or angry verbal outbursts in which he can react grossly out of proportion to the situation. Other than that he’s fine. He tries to be nice (when he’s not striking out in anger).

Personality: Ari is friendly and kind most of the time. Bothering or surprising him runs the risk of triggering intense bouts of anger. He is frequently distracted by interesting things, and loves to research and does scientific research about investiture when he can.

Appearance: He is 5ft 8in, 34 years old. Not skinny but not large, Ari has a good build, and is muscular but does not appear so. Dirty blond hair, caucasian, with a more elliptical face shape than square or round. He lacks facial hair, but that all the more emphasizes his blue eyes. Ari wears glasses, a thin wire frame around lenses an eighth of an inch thick (he’s nearsighted).

Fighting Style: Ari will avoid confrontation whenever possible due to his trauma from childhood and because it triggers his disorder. When he must fight, his extreme anger causes him to be more reckless than he should, but it also makes him more dangerous. Ari prefers the use of swords over knives, but is good with a knife when necessary. The quarterstaff is his favorite weapon, since it is the least lethal

    Name: Asher Selan

Physical Characteristics: Light brown hair,  Hazel eyes, About 5'9, 26 Years old, Spiral tattoos on his arms

    Investiture: 2nd ideal Skybreaker (80), Aviar* (10)

Skills: Pretty good at archery (45) , and barely passable with Knives (20),

Equipment: Shardblade (30), Spanread (0), Radiant Fabrial of Division (20)

Weakness: Refuses to let things go (-5), Vengeful (-5), Pretty hypocritical (-5), Rather judgmental, (-5) Has a poor relation with his spren, (-10) Prone to bouts of nearly crippling self doubt, (-10) And suffers from a birth defect that makes it hard for him to walk, he has to use gravitation or a wheelchair (-20

Family: A Brother now deceased (Killed by Nightmaw), A Father and a Mother (Who he is on speaking terms with)

    Home Planet: First of Sun

Backstory: Asher grew up on the Eelakin homeland with his parents and brother (whom he idolized), though because of his birth defect was unable to become a trapper, due to that fact, he began to look for ways to get off world (He'd met a worldhopper once, and became fascinated with the idea of worldhopping), after figuring out how to pass through the cognitive realm he journeyed to Roshar, there he bonded with a highspren and swore the first and second ideal, but he began to miss First of Sun. So Asher went back and found that his brother had become a trapper, the thought of anything happening to him terrified Asher, so he swore the third ideal, "I Swear I will follow my brother that is my oath." But of course things didn't go according to plan, his brother was killed by Nightmaws soon thereafter and he broke his oath, then left Patji forever, finding his way to the Alleyverse.

    Guild: The Guardsmen (coming soon**)

Appearance: Wears a bright red overcoat, with black boots

Fighting Style: Uses gravitation to stay at a distance then pegs opponents with his bow, when at close quarters he turns his shardblade into a spiked shield and tries to ram his opponents with it

    @HoidWasTaken LePook

    Spoiler

    Name: LePook

Physical Characteristics: A blob of fleshy flesh that will take on the form of other people.

Investiture: Kandra, Blessing of Presence (+75)

Skills: Genius (+35), Expert Scholar (+40)

Equipment:A trunk full of different clothing, multiple sacks stashed around with bones in them

Weakness: A common problem among Kandra, He has a hard time talking to people outside of someone he is posing as.

    Family: The Kandra

    Home Planet: Scadrial

Backstory: LePook spent his life like many 4th generation Kandra. Admiring the 3rd Generation while looking down upon the later generations. At some point, he was hired to perform a job in the Alleyverse, and after completing it, hasn’t yet returned to his homeland on Scadrial.

Guild (can be unaffiliated): Unaffiliated, but hoping to join the Villains Incorporated

Personality: Even though all Kandra learned to impersonate their target, LePoon found it fascinating. What one might see as an ordinary nobleman working on the farms on the outskirts of the Final Empire may also happen to have been experimenting on skaa in his basement to test them for allomancy. Or he may be having an affair. Or a whole assortment of fun things that really shine in someone’s life.

Appearance: LePook takes on the appearance of whoever he is impersonating. Even when he just has normal human bones, he still doesn’t really dress how he feels, he dresses how he thinks the bones want to be dressed.

Fighting Style: LePook has almost no fighting skills. If he had to fight, he would probably just hope his opponent doesn’t know he is a kandra, play dead and hope they go away.

Third Oath - I will devote myself to cleanse Jah Keved of false ardents.
Fourth Oath - I will not raise my sword again until I know I will not lose control.

Skills: All of the rest of his points go into him cooking, since he won't fight.

Equipment: Cooking supplies! Lots of them!

    Will not fight.

Family: Dead at the hands of the other Skybreakers

    Home Planet: Roshar

Backstory: His brother was close to bonding a spren, so the Skybreakers killed him. The rest of the family fought back and were killed, but Okame
was a toddler at that point and could not. He was then raised as a Skybreaker, speaking the First Oath at only 9 years old, having
been broken by the trials the Skybreakers put him through and residual trauma from the slaughter of his family.

    Guild: The DA

    Psyche: Broken.

Personality: Confident but not cocky, loud without anger. Just a generally excitable person, as Horneaters are wont to be. Likes to protect people with the law as his framework. Gives a solid 100% in everything. Determined beyond belief.

    ================

    Zerameth
    Spoiler

    Name: Zerameth Adovani
(zeras + tsameth) (adoda + javani)

Physical Characteristics: A fairly tan Alethi, standing at 5'11" in Rosharan measurements, light green eyes, black hair.

Investiture: Used to be a Third Ideal Edgedancer, now is just being followed by the mindless Cultivationspren that once was bonded to him in hopes he defaults back to the bond (I plan to have him do so eventually, as his personality starts to rebuild). He also occasionally gets flash visions of the deadeye.

    Skills: None

    Equipment: None

Weakness: Doesn't remember anything the majority of the time, but there are some dissonance flashbacks that envelop him occasionally, even if he doesn't understand the context of what he sees.

Family: IC: ?????????? OOC: the life of a travelling tradesman doesn't leave much time for family.

Home Planet: IC: ?????????? OOC: Roshar

    Backstory: IC: ??????????
OOC: Zerameth was once a travelling tradesman, using chulls to pull his wagon of wares across the breadth of Roshar selling, buying, and fixing his way through every nation and every group he could, spending a few days at each town before moving on, learning about the inhabitants of each town then setting off to do the same at the next stopping point, weathering the storms in his wagon during the times he couldn't make it somewhere with a shelter. Eventually this peaceful life of learning about those that most considered useless or below their notice attracted the attention of Cultivationspren, who sent one to bond. He progressed to the Third Ideal before his camp was raided one night. Despite his surprise, he managed to summon his Blade and kill one of his attackers before another clubbed him over the head hard and he woke up in a shallow door indentation facing an alley, feverish and hallucinating. He was urged to "drink the Light" but he didn't know what that meant or how to do it. As far as he could tell, this was just another hallucination. He couldn't - wouldn't - trust it. He found a dark room and holed up there, the fever getting worse and worse, the hallucinations (both real and spren-based) getting worse, until one day, with a horrific scream, his spren died over Oaths broken and a bond rejected. He wandered, then, for a little while. Until here. Until now.

    Personality: Very very confused.

Fighting Style: He has no idea how to fight, beyond "make a fist, move fist."

Reason for being broken enough to attract a bond: He's a third son within his family and was constantly criticized for not living up to his family's standards, which is what caused

    Eos

    Spoiler

    Name: Eos

Physical Characteristics: Willowy and ethereal, Eos almost looks like she has Fae blood. One thing she absolutely does have, though, is Irish heritage; her hair is a bright, firey red and she has green eyes.

    Epic Abilities:
Animal Communication - Class C. Allows for a single bond with an animal that can be used for communication with said animal on a deeper level than should be possible. (In this case, her bond is with a Binturong, because I like the way they look.)
Auroral Manifestation - Class A. Allows for generation of light and light-beams that are strangely reminiscent of the auroras.

    Skills: Nothing special here.

Equipment: Again, nothing special, unless you count her sunglasses or her animal companion.

Weakness: Skin contact with petroleum-based products. More skin coverage = less powers.

    Family: N/A

    Home Planet: Calamity Earth

Backstory: Eos never really had family. She was given up for adoption early, and spent the next years of her life bouncing around from house to house, foster family to foster family. Eventually she got tired of it and hopped a train to the American Midwest, digging in as a bartender in a small town.
    And then Calamity rose.
She stayed a bartender, mostly, but now no one says her drinks are wrong, or not quick enough. Recently, though, with the fall of Calamity, she struck out again, searching for new adventures.

    Guild: None.

Personality: Fiercely loyal, even in the depths of her Epic thrall.

Theme Song: Brittle Bones Nicky by Rare Americans (there's a specific lyric in my mind here, and you're free to go looking for it).

Fighting Style: Laser beams. End of story.

    Maul (split personalities)

    Spoiler

    Name: Mälu / The Wanderer

Investiture: Epic ability - Shadowtrail (5)
Leaks shadows from his fingers and the edges of         his clothing.
    F-Copper (30)
    Third Oath Truthwatcher:
        Life before Death
Knowledge should be gained regardless of cost
In order to gain knowledge, you must be worthy of it

Resonance - His Illumination details human systems if left improperly shaped.

    Weaknesses:
Thinks his Shadowtrail is something that he's been cursed with. The darkness doesn't help this.
Wants to open people up to see what's inside and learn their intricacies, borderline compulsively.
Was a serial killer through the majority of his wandering, while posing as a doctor and a teacher.
        Current bodycount: 33
Numerically obsessed. 3, 7, and 9 are his good numbers
Psychotic spren whispering in his head

    Special skills and Weapons:
        Dissection (Expert)

    Physical Characteristics:
Male, human, black hair, 6'3" Scadrian, mostly wears black trousers and a deep blue cloak, which pretty much just looks black, with the shadows dripping off accentuating the dark look.

    Family:
Mother was an Archivist, Father was a Rosharan worldhopper, escaping the Vorins. Both deceased.

    Home:
Born on Scadrial, but he doesn't consider it home as such. He considers himself a wanderer, homeless, out to gather as much information as he can and put it to use somehow.

Backstory: Mälu grew up on the streets of Elendel. Or, more accurately, under the streets of Elendel. He made his home in the tunnels and caverns beneath it all, emerging by night to steal enough to keep him alive and returning down below. As he got older, he turned to more bold forms of crime: mugging and extortion. Eventually he found out he could store memories in copper and began using that for his protection records.
And then one day someone missed a payment.
Mälu burned the shop down with the man's children inside and flayed his wife alive in front of his eyes.
This was a warning. From there he consolidated power in the Eighth Octant, ruling the lesser criminals, far away from prying eyes and bribing conners, until one day he got wind of another place to extort. One where they paid entirely in gems. He followed the trail back to its source and found a way through contacts to get to Roshar, where he began devouring the knowledge of that world, attracting attention from a spren named Katki who proceeded to bond with Mälu. As he moved through the Oaths, his desire for more perfect knowledge increased to new heights and he began "disappearing" people and gained a teaching position as an "ardent" teaching human anatomy.
No one ever questioned where he got his cadavers for demonstrations. Before too long, he was stretching above and beyond again, looking for something more, something to fill him with energy again.
And he ended up in the Alleycity, with a new twist. Shadows dripped from his hands and cloak constantly.
    A curse.
It drives him to violence and irritability, assissted by the whispering of Katki in his mind.
    And so he goes.

    ======================

    Name: Mälu

Investiture: Twinborn (a-copper, f-electrum) and 1st Oath Truthwatcher (spren named Katki)

Weaknesses: Refuses to act until he's fully thought things through, save for extreme scenarios, trust issues b/c spike stuff, storing determination leaves him extremely apathetic to the point of not eating sometimes if he's really trying to rebuild his stores, not physically strong at all, can't sneak worth beans

Special skills and Weapons: Bagh Nakh (fairly skilled), reads fast, smooth-talker

Physical Characteristics: Male, human, black hair, rusted copper green eyes (hemalurgic side effect), 6'3" Scadrian, mostly wears black trousers and a deep

Family: Mother was a Coppercloud with faint Terris blood, Father was Rosharan. Both deceased.

Home: Born on Scadrial, but he doesn't consider it home as such. He considers himself a wanderer, homeless, out to gather as much information as he can and sell it on.

Backstory: Mälu was born on Scadrial, in Weathering. His mother was under a lot of strain, and wasn't exactly all there, so when he began manifesting as an Archivist, she begged his father to use her as a donor for Hemalurgy to give him the Allomantic copper so he could be a Compounder. Under enough times being asked, he gave in (he wasn't all there, either, but mostly because he was an alcoholic), and tied Mälu to his bed one night (of course they didn't tell him what was happening, so he was flipping out with all the strength in his little 10 year old body) and spiked him. His eyes, shortly after, changed from the hazel that they were before to a green reminiscient of rusted copper. A year and a half after that, having just turned 12, Mälu returned home to find his father had hung himself in their small home. He ran away from that, crying at first, and then soon after compartmentalizing it. He stumbled into a temporary Perpendicularity made by an Elsecaller group coming from Roshar to Scadrial and sprinted through the two temporary perpendicularities stumbling straight into Roshar. He ended up living in Roshar for the next few years, always seeking more information to store in his copperminds, even joining the ardents working at the Palaneum to continue his gathering for as long as he could, but eventually began seeing strange patterns around him, reflections of light off water when there was no water, nor even mist. Before long, he swore the First Oath of the Truthwatchers, bonding Katki the spren, attracted to his pursuit of knowledge above all else. He has remained on the First Oath for quite some time, as he was extremely unsure of what to do and didn't
want to find out that he was distancing himself from all he had worked towards in the time since he got there. Leaving the ardentia, another Radiant found him and he ended up learning about his abilities enough to use them with some proficiency. He shelled out for a set of perfect gemstones that he keeps with him at all times, tucked into hidden pockets in his signature vests so that he always has a supply of emergency Stormlight.
    But now everything is different.
Visiting the Nightwatcher was a mistake.

    Lance

    Investiture: A-Bendalloy, F-Electrum, A-Iron Hemalurgic spike.

    Skills: Skilled with melee weapons

Equipment: Dueling canes with one extra six-shot revolver for emergencies.

Weakness: He has to watch how much he stores or he'll go crazy with hedonistic activities and have to deal with the fallout. Paranoid. Somewhat arrogant as well. Instability brought about via the spike.

    Family: Who cares? Not him.

    Home Planet: Scadrial

Backstory: When Lance turned 18, his family turned him out. He was forced to steal to survive before eventually turning to vigilantism to right the wrongs he saw and hopes to make the city a better place. He almost fell in with Vanishers but decided against it at the last minute.

Personality: Overly dramatic when not tapping or storing. When storing, exceptionally apathetic and has a tendency to engage in hedonistic activities. When tapping, he gets really grim. Is determined to die fighting when he eventually goes down.

    @Karnage Nimbre Projeck

    Spoiler

    Name: Nimbre Projeck

Physical Characteristics: A Lifeless. Drab looking, glowing orange eyes, 5 foot 11, bit on the thinner side. Hair grows on his nose (botched forgery, read down below). 20

Investiture: Forged Personality to be a Twinborn. Allomantic- Copper (Hides Allomantic Pulses). Feruchemical- Chromium (Fortune).

Skills: Is average at using his knife and average at martial arts.

    Equipment: Silver knife from Silverlight

Weakness: Loses all memories if the Forgery is removed, gains memories that he had when he had the Forgery (not the memories from when losing the other memories. This can create a dual personality but Nimbre has not explored it at all. If he removes his Forgery he loses all memory. Also when storing Fortune, Nimbre is very unlucky. Nimbre was given access to his own Commands, the only other person who knows them is the caring scientist in Silverlight. If someone finds out what his Command codes are they will be able to control his actions.

    Family: Unknown

    Home Planet: Silverlight/ Nalthis

Backstory: Before Nimre was born a group of cosmere aware scholars worked on finding a way to create a whole new person with abilities from different planets, they began fabricating a whole life for a “lucky” person somewhere in the cosmere. This took several long years for hard work by many contributors in Silverlight. At this point in time they started to consider how ethical it was to take a normal human being and give him/her a personality, they eventually settled on either giving this personality to a newly born Returned or a Lifeless, they eventually settled on the newly born returned. They figured that they would try again if the Returned did not work. As soon as they finished they began searching Nalthis for a Returned baby. They eventually found Nimbre. He was brought in and they decided that the safest spot to put the seal was on the bottom of his heel. Personality wasn’t given to him, that was left for him to let naturally develop, the rest though, was fabricated. He took to one of the scientists in Silverlight, an older woman who cared for him. Eventually once he turned 20 he stopped aging and he decided to make his way to the Allyverse.

    Guild: Undetermined

Psyche: Wishes to be treated like everyone else.

Personality: Headstrong- wants to always be trusted even when there is reason for him not to be. Also hates to be told what to believe. Loves deserts (since he can’t get overweight), loves to be included except when he’s being told what he should believe.

Appearance: Clean cut- regularly shaves his nose (wants to be included). 20, 5-11, Black hair, almost grey skin (messed up Forgery).

Theme Song: Once I Was 7 Years Old?

Fighting Style: Martial Arts/ Knife fighting technique.

Physical Characteristics: About eight inches tall. cream colored fur with a few swirled black spots. Wears a black kimono-like robe

Investiture: Cytonic: ‘Shadow walker’ (FTL transport) , Sense that increases his reflexes.

    Skills: Expert melee weapon training.

Equipment: A silvery greatsword (for him) similar to a katana.

Weakness: Overconfident and boastful of his own abilities. A little unused to modern technology.

Family: His father was also a shadow walker, but no one in his family knew where he was, and none of them are in the Alleyverse.

    Home Planet: Kitsen planet

Backstory: Was a young shadow walker during the time that the Kitsen were trading with Earth. As he was inexperienced, he messed up while teleporting and landed in the Alleyverse. (There’s probably some sort of time dilation so it’s fine.)

    Guild: Unaffiliated.

Personality: Loud. He tries to be polite, but usually fails. Doesn’t like when people pretend not to notice that he's tiny, and gets annoyed when he is overlooked (both figuratively and literally) or stepped on. He thinks of himself as a formidable fighter, and while he is, he is also not very effective due to his size. Usually rude, but he does have a poetic side.

Fighting Style: Uses poetic insults as he teleports around, whacking people.

    @I think I am here. Max/ Alask/ Wes/ Reval

    Spoiler

    Max:

    Spoiler

    Name: Max Tenira

    Investiture: A-Zinc, F-Nicrosil Twinborn. A Rioter and a Soulbearer

Occupation: Head of Operations at the Canton of Combat publicly, and in secret is an assassin for the Ghostbloods.

Weakness: Lots of suppressed trauma (Seven Day War, going insane, Rioting Oasis, Devaan’s death, Mara’s death, the Solace incident). He’s tried to control it in day to day scenario, but a single emotional Allomancer or mentally-affecting magic user who knows what to do could use it to incapacitate him. Cares deeply for his family, which can be used against him.

Special Skills: Twinborn combination allows for very powerful Rioting. Skilled – Melee weapons (staff and sword)

Weapons:  Max wields Sethramir, a sword Devaan made that talks to him like a spren. Operates like a Shardblade, but when it hits a person it causes lasting spiritual damage (can be healed) and prevents the victim from using spiritual Investiture as long as the damage is there. The limit is that Max cannot use spiritual Investiture while holding it (so he can’t use his nicrosilminds). When twisting the hilt, Sethramir turns into a shard-spear that can control wind.

Appearance: Brown hair, brown eyes, well built for his age. Slightly shorter than average, but not by much. Often dresses in trousers and a grey fluffy coat.

Family: Doesn't remember any of his biological family, except for his twin sister, Mara, who he grew up with. Only very faintly remembers his mother's face. Has a wife, Althea, who he loves, as well as two children (Vivacia and Reval).

    Home: AlleyCity (the Alleyverse).

Personality: Generally, a happy and adventurous person, though he knows how to keep cool and collected in times of stress. Can somewhat control his emotions to a degree. Has matured and grown a lot more responsible since his teenage years.

Backstory: Raised in the Alleyverse until eight by his parents. His parents fought and were killed in the Seven Day War, and Max and his sister Mara were left alone to the Abominations. He Snapped that night and was saved by Rashan Caer. Was raised from eight by Devaan Sheonar.

With Mara, they both found Aonic armors. Joining a 2v2 duel with Mara, Max saw his sister die in front of his eyes. He slowly began to go insane. He began to don an Aonic armor that was a fusion of his and his sisters, and couldn’t take it off, otherwise his insanity would take over. The culimination of his insanity ended up in him Rioting the entire of Oasis and killing hundreds of people. He was healed by Solace, who turned evil.

With Althea Tenira, they searched for Solace and saved him from his evil Epic powers. He fell in love with Althea, and after Solace was dealt with he married her.

In Era 5, he met Althea when they were teenagers and they got married in their twenties, and started a family together.

    Alask:

    Spoiler

    Name: Alask Ao

    Age: 22

Investiture: Alask has been spiked with the cognitive entity of a Shade, tethering it to his body, which he has a Nahel bond with. No additional Investiture.

Weakness: It required two spikes to get the Shade into Alask, so he is very vulnerable to emotional Allomancy. The Shade itself tethered to his body is also a weakness, should anything happen that angers the Shade (eg. Bloodshed) Alask could lose control of his body temporarily and the Shade will take over control. Alask is also highly susceptible to silver, as it burns him on contact.

Special Skills: Alask is not really a fighter, but if the Shade takes over Alask’s body, Alasks durability, strength and speed increase dramatically, but only as long as the Shade controls it. Effectively, he becomes an animal. Alask was trained in lockpicking by his mother, and has amateur knowledge on the subject. Alask is also great at improvising plans on the spot should anything go wrong.

Weapons: Alask doesn’t carry any weapons. Rather, he uses his bare fists for combat if he gets into it.

Appearance: Dark hair, tanned skin, brown eyes. Alask is lean, and about average height and build for his age.

Family: Mother, father and brother, though they’re on the other side of the planet and don’t know about what’s been happening with Alask.

Home: Raised from birth in the Alleyverse, though he grew up in one of the poorer districts.

Personality: Alask considers himself to be a normal person despite his spikes, which he keeps secret from everyone he doesn’t trust. He feels hate towards the guilds, as he knows one of them is the one that experimented on him. Alask is cunning and resourceful, and able to quickly form a plan from available resources. Has a sense of humour. He is highly ambitious, willing to do almost anything to enact his plans and keen to spread the influence of the Forge throughout the Northern Slums.

Backstory: Alask grew up with his parents and brother in the Alleyverse. When he turned 18, he left his home to try and find a job that would pay enough for him to take care of his family. This required significant travelling, and one day Alask was captured by a guild who ruthlessly tested on him with hemalurgy, spiking a Shade into his body utilising two spikes in the chest. When they realised he didn’t have any abilities, they threw him out. Alask’s been wandering ever since, scared to go back to his family lest his Shade kill them. He joined a thieving crew and then joined Laonin at the Forge. When Laonin left, he assumed control of the Forge and formed the plan to summon the Phoenix at PlasmaCore.

In Era 5, Alask is the high ambitious leader of the Forge, which now controls a large portion of the northern slums, in a large community that’s sort of separate from the non-slum parts of AlleyCity. He claims to do it in honour of Laonin and provides the poor with food, water, as shelter through buildings the Forge has reconstructed. However, resources are not 24/7 and the slums have sort of remained static in development since the Forge came, which is deliberately done by Alask to keep control of the area.

    Wes:

    Spoiler

Name: Wesley Miller (goes by Wes)

Appearance: A short teenager dressed almost always in a black Ghostblood underling cloak, which is too big for him. He uses it to hide a massive and deep running scar that crawls over his entire back to his left forearm. Usually makes himself look smaller because of self-esteem issues, has black hair and hazel eyes. Wears glasses.

    Investiture: Bendalloy Feruchemy (Subsumer)

Personality: Incredibly innocent and naive to most parts of the world. To strangers he is usually introverted but he is very quick to trust people. With friends, he is cheerful most of the time. He is easily intimidated by and scared of authority figures. Has incredibly low self-esteem issues.

Strengths: Engineering and inventing, very skilled with technology and machinery for hacking and to make a variety of inventions. He is small and nimble, which allows him to crawl into small spaces. He watches a lot of action movies (sort of a skill, I guess ).

Weaknesses: Scared of authority figures, low self-esteem, overly trusting of people, overly naive and innocent, heavy trauma from scar on his back. No skill in fighting. Not very good at talking to people. Dislikes large events and crowds. Blind without his glasses. Feels powerless without some sort of tech nearby.

Backstory: Born and raised in the Ghostblood headquarters. This led to not knowing very much of the outside world, and being very subservient to GB authority figures. One day he accidentally insulted Mr. Itiah’s handwriting and got the scar on his back. He graduated from his GB dorm-school and joined the Guns N’ Ninjas GB team. Failed in assassinating Syndicate and helped remove the Vortex and some evil robots during Ajax’s Invasion.

In Era 5, Wes is a secret Ghostblood agent who’s just finished training. His role isn’t to assassinate targets or inform assassins, but to clear records of things like phones, surveillance footage etc. so that there’s no digital evidence the Ghostbloods were even there.

    Reval:

    Spoiler

    Name: Reval Tenira

    Age: 15

    Investiture: None

Skills: Reval is intelligent and average with handiwork, hand-to-hand combat and melee weapons, specialising in long daggers. He is also amateur in scholarship.

Appearance: Average height, fit, brown hair and seemingly brown eyes that are actually maroon (a mix between brown and red (I don’t know how eye colours work :P)).

Weaknesses: Feels burdened by expectations (that aren’t really there), and thinks he has to amount to something to prove himself to his family. He feels like he’s let them down by not having Investiture, and so is envious of those who  do. High sensitivity to criticism.

Personality: Reval is a teenager with a lot of strong views on things like Investiture and Guilds. He takes after his mother in valuing logic and analysis and is eager to prove himself. He’s at heart a good person, though, and just wants the best for everyone. He’s protective of his little sister.

    Guild Affiliation: None

Backstory: Reval is the oldest child of Max and Althea, and is Vivacia’s brother. He lives near to AlleyCity. When he was little he thought he’d get powers like his parents but ended up being disappointed. He felt even worse when his little sister turned out to have Allomantic abilities. He tried (and currently tries) to improve himself by doing good in school and training with weapons. He loves his family would protect his sister at all costs, but feels a little out of place.

    @kenod Shade/Kumiko/KanMien/Mari

    Spoiler

    Name: Shade
    Age: 17
    Gender: Female
Appearance: 5'2'', with long black hair and brown eyes. Normally wears a black pants with a grey hoodie that seems to be a few sizes to big. She has a number of scars hidden away under her cloths.
    Powers: Presence Manipulation
This ability can make people pay more or less attention to her, as well as giving them the idea she is in a different location, or give the idea she/projected presence is someone else.
Hiding her presence works similar to the Grey Men from WoT, with roughly the same level of effectiveness. Its effectiveness varies depending on the sense used to perceive her though. Hearing or seeing her doesn't do much, but her smell is still noticed and can make someone pay more attention to her, though it's generally not enough to break the ability if she doesn't do anything too suspicious. Direct physical contact will immediately break the ability though, and will make them fully aware of her. Highly unusual actions, like firing guns or yelling will also seriously weaken the ability. This ability is also a lot less effective on people who were already aware of her when the ability activated.
Increasing her presence will make people around her focus on her, and draw their attention away from other things. When used with less strength it will simply make people notice her unconsciously, making her stand out more.
Projecting her presence will make people think she is at the projected location instead of her actual location. If the person in question is already aware of the her location it will only function as a distraction, disorienting the person in question. Also, if they actually see the location the presence is projected to it'll immediately fail as they realize there's nobody there, unless they think there is someone invisible around. An interesting quirk of this is that by quickly projecting her presence at different locations close to herself she can make it harder for people to know her exact location, disorienting people looking at her and making it harder to hit her with ranged weapons.
Disguising her presence makes people think she's someone else. This ability fails when someone pays actual attention to her though, since actual inspection would show them that she is somebody else. The closer she looks like the person who's presence she's using the less likely it is for the effect to fail. This ability can also be used in conjunction with projecting her presence, making people think it's someone else who's at the location the presence is projected to.

    Notes:

    • It is possible for her to simultaneously hide her presence and project it.
    • Only one presence can be projected at the same time, though the presence can be re-projected at high speeds (about 0.15 seconds).
    • The range for projecting a presence is limited to locations either within line of sight or within 30 meters of her if she is aware of the location.
    • She can sense how much attention people are paying her, and is thus aware of it when someone breaks her ability.
    • If someone breaks her ability only the person in question notices her. Everyone else affected by the ability will still be affected, but the person not affected can tell the others about her, breaking the ability for them as well.
    • If someone has broken their ability reusing it will still make the ability apply to them again. Generally the ability would break again immediately (creating the disorientation/mirage trick with presence projection by continuously distracting them with new presences) but if the person who broke it didn't really pay any attention to her anyway it can successfully re-apply itself (for example, if someone bumped into her on the street and ignored her the ability could be applied again).

Skills: Assassination (Expert), Melee Weapons (Skilled, limited to knives, also includes throwing knives).

Equipment: A large number of hidden knives.

Epic Weakness: Feeling trapped, normally triggered by someone grabbing her wrists or restraining her, but other triggers can occur as well.

Weaknesses: Fairly shy and has trouble dealing with crowds. She has psychological issues related to her backstory, Has become dependant on the emotion dampening effect her powers create, and feels extremely uncomfortable when not using them. Isn't really capable of standing up for herself when confronted by someone she considers to have authority over her.

    Guild: Ghostbloods.

Family: Parents and uncle, all deceased.

Personality: She tends to be quite cold to others, and doesn't really know how to interact with people except for killing them or being afraid of them and obeying them. Distrusts people who try to be kind to her. Has long stopped caring about the well-being of other people, and has a sick fascination with seeing people betray others, believing it to be the normal way for things to go. When using her powers her emotions fade away. She personally has the idea that the more she hides her presence the more her emotions disappear as well. Her motivations stay though, and certain strong emotions can stay as well (specifically her fear of being trapped).
Likes being in open places without any people around.
Dislikes other people seeing her scars.

History: She grew up with abusive parents, learning quickly not to draw attention to herself. With the only person she liked a mysterious uncle who came by every once in a while. When she turned seven Calamity appeared, and one of the rampaging Epics killed her parents, and she survived only because of her own abilities manifesting. Her uncle took her in afterwards, but was only interested in her ability. It turned out that he was an assassin, and he started training her as well, eventually turning her into a skilled killer, having her serve as his tool and hiring out her services.
Eventually when she got older she managed to befriend a local girl. However, her uncle found out, and scared that she might betray him he kidnapped the girl, and forced the girl to betray Shade, and then got Shade to kill her in return, which broke her.
Later on strangers came by while she was gone on an assignment, and when she returned she found they had killed her uncle, as he was an ex-Ghostblood who had betrayed them. Since she didn't care about her uncle and didn't have anywhere to go she ended up going with them, and started working for them in the Alleyverse.

    Theme Song: Delain, Scarlet.
    =====================================

    Name: Takamine Kumiko

    Epic Name: Kitsune

    Gender: Female

    Age: 18

Appearance: Has a Japanese appearance, and is around 5'2'' tall, with short, dark brown hair. Wears a white and red shrine maiden outfit when out for official business, otherwise wears assorted kimonos. Tends to have a fox tail and ears.

    Epic Powers:

    • Foxfire:
Her primary ability. She can conjure Investure in the form of blue-purple flames and manipulate them. These flames aren't actually capable of burning things though, and aren't hot, and instead have the ability to burn away Investure. This works the best on kinetic Investure, innate Investure being both difficult and time-consuming. Actually burning something by simply projecting the flame in the air takes a lot of energy though, and is difficult, so generally it's easier for her to simply seal the flames into an object, focusing its power and allowing her to use the object in question as something similar to a Shardweapon, though somewhat weaker, but with the ability to cut through Kinetic investure as well, allowing her to use the weapon (or the raw flame) as something similar to Allomantic Chromium, though without the ability to burn away metals, and projected flames burn much slower than Chromium, requiring 10 times the time Chromium would take, though when infused in a weapon it can burn quicker.
Imbued cutting weapons move through objects without actually interacting with them, just as regular Shardblades, unless the Foxfire isn't strong enough to properly cut through it.
While a weapon imbued with Foxfire can cut through most inanimate objects just as easily as a Shardblade can, certain tough enough objects/materials (thick rock, high-quality armour) are capable of resisting and blocking the weapon, though it does damage them. It also doesn't have the strength to properly cut through someone's soul, and instead disrupts it, temporarily paralysing the limb (or the whole body, when cutting through the spine). The duration of this depends on how much Foxfire she puts into the cut, as well as the amount of Innate Investure someone has, averaging at about an hour. While the effect is active Foxfire will be visible along the cut. Investure-based healing can quickly get rid of this effect for much less Investure than it would cost to restore Shardblade cuts, or even severed limbs.
When she's burning her Innate Investure the power of her Foxfire gets boosted significantly. Projected Foxfire becomes actually useful and can burn things away at a distance, though still taking a few seconds, depending on the amount used. Weapons with Foxfire imbued in them will do much greater damage when cutting and stabbing things, with the damage spreading outwards similar to what Nightblood does, though the actual level of power is a fair bit lower, with the effect normally extending out for about 25 centimetres.
She can also control if a flame burns a specific thing or not, though this takes focus.
Any Investure burned away by the flames can be used to fuel her own abilities, though some power gets lost during the absorption.
    • Improved physical abilities:
She can surround herself with her flame to improve her own physical abilities, though this flame isn't capable of destroying Investure like her Foxfire is, though if she wants to she can use it to burn up part of her own Innate Investure, which can drastically boost her powers for a bit, but with the down-side of long-term damage or even death.
This boost behaves in the same way as stormlight does for a Surgebinder, enhancing her speed and granting her a healing factor. This healing factor also allows her to regenerate her Innate Investure, as long as she has some left and isn't currently burning it, but this takes a long time, even with external sources available, especially since burning away her Innate Investure significantly weakens her abilities afterwards until it is restored again (degree of weakness depends on how much was burned away).
Normally the degree of enhancement is roughly the same as with Surgebinders, but if she wants to she can decrease the boost to save power for using her Foxfire, or for longer endurance, and she can also increase the boost in return for quicker energy consumption and lower efficiency (the lower efficiency creates a soft ceiling on her boost when she isn't burning her Innate Investure, with the ceiling being about 3 times the Stormlight boost, though efficiency issues at this point have her burning through Investure at somewhat ridiculous rates).
Note that her healing has lower efficiency and speed than that of Surgebinders, so she tries to avoid taking damage whenever possible.
    • Barriers (This will get cut if the point count is too high):
She can create flame-like barriers. These barriers are normally very weak though, with low energy efficiency, similar to projecting her Foxfire (they aren't even capable of fully blocking bullets, though they can slow them down or alter the course to lower the odds of fatal injuries, similar to a weak steel bubble). However, embedding it into something can increase the efficiency a lot. When she infuses it into something she can create a barrier in the path of the object, which then stays behind for a few seconds, or manifest the barrier on the surface of an object, though that requires her to constantly fuel it.
She normally using this ability to create barriers in the wake of her sword to deflect ranged attacks, or on her shoes to create temporary barriers beneath her feet so she can jump in mid-air. She can't move barriers created through imbued objects.
When burning her Innate Investure her barriers become much stronger, with even projected barrier flames being capable of withstanding explosions. She can also fire off barrier flames from imbued objects in this state, which allows her to perform ranged cuts.
    • Basic shapeshifting:
She can hide her ears and tail, though they come out automatically when she uses her other powers.
    • Important Notes:
She isn't actually capable of providing the energy for her abilities herself, and needs outside sources instead. She is capable of building up a small stockpile by absorbing Investure through food, but this is inefficient, and the stockpile while only let her use her abilities at normal level for less than a minute. To be able to use her abilities normally she needs to carry an external supply with her, such as Stormlight infused gems.
Furthermore, any Investure she absorbs this way fades away after about 5 minutes, no matter how much it was, though she can burn through it faster than that, and when she absorbs additional Investure it gets its own timer. This means she needs to carefully judge how much Investure she absorbs each time, to make sure she has enough power to deal with the situation, while avoiding burning through large amounts of her supply and wasting it. This also means she needs to take the time to take out the Stormlight gems she wants to use, and focus on them, since she can't select a specific amount while they're still in her purse/bag.

    Equipment: A katana.

Skills: Intelligence, Smart (15), Melee combat training (Kendo), Average (35).

Epic Weakness: Killing people. (Letting people die through inaction doesn't trigger this. Thinking she has killed someone but being wrong does trigger it. Killing someone by accident weakens her, but doesn't leave her completely powerless.)

Weaknesses: Slow at coming to trust people, and often expects the worst of them. Has a tendency of extending fights if she considers the other side evil in the hopes of making them suffer more, but this can leave her open to running out of power, or letting the other side escape.

Personality: Hides her feelings when around people she doesn't trust, which are most of them. Tends to be very serious, and can be quite cruel to those she judges evil, and while she can revise that judgement based on circumstances, she is slow to do so, and isn't actually always interested in doing so, being more interested in hurting someone and making herself feel better than actual justice. Often needs KanMien's help to remind her to slow down a little, and to get her to trust someone. Tends to focus more on punishing people than helping people.
Is uncertain how she feels about her ears and tail.

Relations: Parents died when she was younger. Later taken in by KoTiel and KanMien. Currently lives with KanMien, who she is in a relationship with.

History: When she was younger her parents were killed when someone robbed their house, and she ended up killing the robber in self-defence, the event traumatizing her, especially the feeling of killing people. When she was 15 Calamity appeared, and soon after developing her own powers she accidentally ended up world-hopping, where she was found by KoTiel and KanMien, who took her in, at which point she also found out that readably available Investure (often in the form of metalminds KanMien filled) made her powers much more useful. She spent a few years traveling with them, eventually ending up in a relationship with KanMien, while coming to see KoTiel as an adoptive parent. At some point they started living in the Alleycity, and when KoTiel decided to keep travelling KanMien and Kumiko instead decided to stay, eventually joining TUBA.

    Guild: TUBA

Theme song(s): Nana Mizuki - Zettō Ame no Habakiri, Audiopizza - Daughter of the Flame
    ==========================================

    Name: KanMien

    Gender: Female

    Species: Kandra

Investure: Iron Feruchemy Blessings. Decay and flawed creation methods lowered the efficiency to about 85% for both storing and tapping. Furthermore, improper construction makes them flawed as Blessings, making it easier for emotional Allomancy to control her.

Appearance: She uses a true body of about 5'4'' tall, and has long, dark-brown hair. When expecting combat she normally wears a business suit covering a bullet-resistant soft vest (can stop small calibre handgun bullets and shrapnel, but not much else). Otherwise she tends to go with a more casual shirt and jeans, the look somewhat ruined by the two revolvers she tends to have on her.

Equipment: Polymer skeleton coated in iron. Two heavy-calibre revolvers (roughly similar to a .44 Magnum) made from a aluminium-alloy (the lower weight causes recoil issues, and requires her to be tapping iron while firing, while the lower suitability of the aluminium-alloy means they need more maintenance. ). Also owns a large aluminium-alloy rifle, similarly chambered for large-calibre bullets.

Skills: Intelligence, Smart (15), Projectile weapon training, Average (45).

    Weaknesses:

    • Flawed blessings make it easier for emotional allomancy to control her, and she has developed the instinctive reaction to forcefully knock herself out if she feels strong amounts of emotional allomancy aimed at her.
    • While a decent strategist she has a habit of simply rushing into things, relying on her healing and Kumiko's support to deal with things.
    • Her young age means she has little experience with shapeshifting, with appearance changes taking a long time, and being incapable of imitating people (courtesy of KoTiel training her). Her ability at healing herself is decent, but somewhat underwhelming compared to Investure-based healing, or the healing rates some of the more skilled Kandra are capable of.
    • The recoil on her guns require her to be tapping iron while firing, since otherwise the recoil will be way to high, and can even break her arms if she isn't careful (especially because she's stupid enough to dual-wield .44 revolvers made out of metal that's way too light).

Personality: Easy-going with a lot of self-confidence, can sometimes come across as a bit cocky. Can be a bit immature at times. Hates losing. Really dislikes Hemalurgy, including her own spikes. Dislikes innocent people getting hurt, and tries to avoid collateral damage, but has no issue killing opponents. Sometimes falls into the role of having to reign in Kumiko though whenever she's taking things too far, and dislikes causing unnecessary suffering to people she's fighting, unless they really ticked her off (Hemalurgists and those controlling constructs using emotional allomancy).
Tends to joke that as a Kandra she's legally obliged to dislike people with emotional allomancy.
Feels most of the older Kandra she's met are kind of stuffy and boring, or overly serious, though she has expressed an interesting in meeting MeLaan after hearing stories about her.

Relations: Considers KoTiel to be a parent figure to them. Currently in a relationship with Kumiko.

History: Created by a group of rogue Hemalurgists, she spent the first year of her life with them, though she doesn't remember much of this, aside from the fact that she didn't like it much. After a year KoTiel found the place though, and ended up dealing with the Hemalurgists, saving KanMien and taking her in, raising her and taking her with them across the Cosmere, and even on a few trips to an earth, where she got her current skeleton. After about a decade they came across Kumiko during their travels, and took her in as well, since she didn't have anywhere to go or any knowledge about the world she was on. After a while Kumiko and KanMien ended up in a relationship, and they ended up living together in the Alleycity, and when KoTiel ended up leaving to continue traveling they ended up staying behind, joining TUBA.

    ============================================

    Name: Mari Enriel

    Age: 17

    Gender: Female

Appearance: 5'4'' tall with short dark brown hair and brown eyes. Has a visible Terris heritage. Androgynous look. Wears a black coat with hoodie and trousers.

Investure:  Two spikes increasing her connection to the alleys, resulting in the following abilities:
Her connection to the alleys sometimes allows her to glimps hints of things beyond reality, as well as give her the ability to sense nearby alleytravel (distance related to the strength of the traveller and the number/size of people, as well as how badly they're mangling reality. A city-block or two for regular alleytravel). Can sense alleymatics users, and they can sense her too (are there any others around, except maybe the Stranger?). (most of this is probably just fluff, just felt it was appropriate given how her powers work)
Alleymatics-based mass shifting. (spoilered because it's way too long)

Equipment: Small, long cylinders filled with lead projectiles strapped beneath her forearms where she expel the projectiles by moving her wrists the right way. She uses these when her mass is increased as a short-ranged shotgun attack by letting her mass-manipulation field's effect accelerate them when they leave its range. The deflection effect makes them nearly impossible to accurately aim though, made worse by the throwing motion, making it a very short-ranged attack. Projectile speeds sit at roughly 100m/s, low enough that they'll likely be non-lethal when not hitting vital points, especially with thicker clothing. They have a quick-release function in case of Allomancers.

Skills: Hand-to-hand combat, Expert (50), Assassination, amateur (20).

Weaknesses: Poor social skills, on account of spending a large part of her life in the DA. Can't carry aluminium, since it interferes with their abilities. Her ability to see things beyond reality can sometimes cause her to see some fairly scary stuff. She has gotten used to it to some degree, so no panic attacks, but they do frighten her and make her want to get away from that place. Phasing when those things are around is a very bad idea, and consecutive use of her powers in one location can attract their attention. Her two spikes make her more vulnerable to Emotional Allomancy, but not enough to be controlled under normal circumstances.

Personality: Fairly easygoing, sometimes seems to just stare into the distance (whenever she perceives something). Has a tendency to use her laid-back attitude and jokes as a defensive mechanism, and still has a lot of unresolved issues regarding the experiments the DA performed on her, and mostly sticks around with them because the job pays well, the alleys make her feel at ease, and the fact that her abilities make it rather hard to get a different job (and possibly a loyalty spike. Are we still using those?). The stuff she's seen means that she can handle more regular scary stuff pretty well. Hates people who prey on or abuse children, and normally deals with them permanently, sometimes bringing them in as test-subjects, though she might like doing this just a tad too much.
Quite curious, enjoys learning new things.
Highly aggressive in combat, trying to finish things as fast as possible, though she prefers not to kill people under most circumstances (people she considers evil are dealt with more permanently though).

Family: Killed when she was ten.

History: Her family originally emigrated from Scandrial when she was still a baby, and got decent jobs in the alleycity. However, when she was 10 her parents got killed during a robbery when travelling while she was at home. The murderer got arrested and convicted, but she didn't have anywhere to go. However, a DA researcher found out about it and picked her up, since she was an extremely rare iron compounder, which he needed for an experiment. Experimenting on her in secret (unethical experiments are one thing, but even a fair number of DA researchers draw a line with experimenting on an unwilling kid) he altered her spiritweb, mutating her ability, and then used spikes to connect her soul to the alleys themselves, granting her the innate ability to alter her mass by partially transitioning out of reality instead. Immediately after this was done she used this ability to phase her hand through his chest, killing him in revenge for the experiments. Most other researchers didn't care that much though, since the experiment had already succeeded and they still had his notes (and nobody cared that much about someone experimenting on kids). Instead they decided to keep her there and observe and train her, and later got her a job in the DoCI.

Backstory: As a poor young boy growing up in a large city he always wanted to be an officer of law. it is rather amazing that Kaptin Storms graduated from a rather prestigious large university. some people think it is because he was a bright young student, although it is far more likely that allomancy was involved. As a soother he did not get in trouble for the mistakes he made and always came out on top.
Embarassed by his humble family as he wants to be somebody prestigious, he will not talk about his family, but will instead talk of his time at the university.

    @Lord_Silberfarben Lord-son-son-son-Silberfarben

    Spoiler
    Name: Lord-son-son-son-Silberfarben

Investiture: Nightwatched boon. He visited the Nightwatcher and asked... For knowledge.
Now he is able to see into other worlds, this power is uncontrollable, and often only finds knowledge usable on another world which he will never visit.

Weakness: Nightwatched curse: May never tell anyone about his knowledge or his power. He also suffers restless nights, in which he sees into other worlds. Also, sees everything upside down, because he failed to keep his power secret.

Special skills and Weapons: He sometimes finds ideas for other useful weapons in other worlds. Since he is a skilled craftsman he can replicate them. The most useful up to now was the Hoopak. A versatile weapon created by Kenders. The Hoopak serves both as staff, spear, sling, and storage. It might even serve as a musical instrument for a pinch.

Physical characteristics: Shin, young male. (Pale, no epicanthic fold...)

Family: Son to two accomplished craftsmen(And... Craftswoman)

Home: Shinovar, Roshar. He never settled for too long in any particular place.

History/Biography: Lord was born in Shinovar, son to two artisans. He acquired crafting skills but was not content with the simple life of a Shin craftsman. Throughout his life was reigned by the desire for knowledge. In fact, He got involved with a group of shin interested in the surges. When this group, Lord amongst them, was declared truthless, Lord himself also had to leave his home.

After that, he wandered the west, happily taking artisan work for a living.

And then he heard about the Nightwatcher, a being who could grant boons to a traveler brave enough to dare her curse.

And so he arrived to the Nightwatcher. As a ragged traveler with grandeur in his mind.

And what did he ask for?

    Knowledge.

And that is what he got. But not of the sort he hoped.

From then on, every night, he would dream about other places. places with creatures and technology known and unknown.

Until one night, he dreamed of a group of weary travelers trudging across an obsidian ground, surrounded by a sea of beads. They submerged themselves into a light. And suddenly, he dreamt for the first time of his own world.

He joined these travelers, world hoppers they called themselves.

That way he learned a Worldhopper's way of lengthening their lives, and many others of their secrets. In a way, he had what he had wished for.

And then, on a pleasant night on the DIDGERIDOO, Alleycity, after many unspiked drinks, he revealed his own secret. The only secret he was not allowed to share with someone willing to learn.

How he came across such inventive ideas?

Welllllll He slurred drunkenly I once visited... that one. The vine woman. Oh yeah! The Nightwa...

He then collapsed on himself. All the others thought he had fainted with alcohol.

But he didn't join them the day later, nor the day after...

They Worldhoppers had to depart, they had somewhere important to be.

Meanwhile, Lord-son-son-son-Silberfarben Stared at the ceiling of the small room someone kind enough had provided for him.

It was the only place he could look at without feeling nauseated.

Up is down now, at least to his eyes, and down up.

    @Lotus Sunwalker

    Spoiler

    Name: Sunwalker

    Physical Characteristics: Tall, buff. Return-y.

    Investiture: Returned

Skills: Decently knowledgeable with merchant stuff, knows how to haggle and run a business. Amateur-level theiving skills.

Equipment: None. Was stolen from him the last time he was killed.

Weakness: Apathetic, uncaring. Horrible fighter. Very unlucky

    Family: Unknown

    Home Planet: Nalthis

Backstory: Sunwalker has the unfortunate habit of being killed a lot. He always seems to find his way into trouble, one way or another, and then he dies. And it sucks. And then, what do you know, few hours later he's back up on his feet ready to join in another mafia scheme. He was born on Nalthis and had his first return there, but then decided to travel the comer, became quite the successful salt merchant, and definetly didn't get tossed off a ship into shadesmar several times.

    Guild (can be unaffiliated): Unaffiliated

Personality:  Just kinda… stopped caring. Likes to get involved with stuff, has a very caviler attitude about death. So what if he dies? Really enjoys getting into risky business ventures though, thats a bit of his guilty pleasure.

Appearance: Quite tall, with middling tone of brown hair and dark eyes. Wears whatever he’s feeling like or whatever hasn’t been stolen from him.

Fighting Style: Try not to die and run away

    @Mage Bartholomew

    Spoiler

    Name: Bartholomew Rogers

Physical Characteristics: Portly, but strong and surprisingly nimble. Has bad circulation, so his fingers and toes always get cold.

    Investiture: Aluminum gnat

Skills: A skilled knife fighter, stealthy, can read really, really fast

Equipment: two silver knives, a crossbow with silver bolts, and vials of aluminum

Weakness: he is antisocial, and has never been good with people. He can sneak in the night, but is not good at blending in in the daylight. Knives are his main mode of fighting, take them away and he can’t fight. He trusts no one except his sister who he hasn’t seen in years. This is both a weakness and a strength.

Family: He has parents (who doesn’t), but he doesn’t remember them much. Their names were John and Humility. He had an older brother, Moses, who he also doesn’t remember (these reasons will be explained in backstory). His remaining older sister, Judith, practically raised him.

    Home Planet: Threnody

Backstory: Rodgers has Scadrian ancestry, hence his allomancy, but a long while back his ancestors worldhopped to Threnody. They left the homeland when the evil came, and were living in the forests. Rodgers parents and brother were killed by shades when his mother accidentally cut herself while cooking. His sister managed to flee with him to safety. He snapped to his allomancy from this experience. He then became a thief to survive in that harsh world. His allomancy—while considered useless on Scadrial—is useful for combatting shade withering. He became rather wealthy as a thief.

Guild (can be unaffiliated): unaffiliated (for now)

Psyche (can be combined with personality if necessary): paranoid

Personality: A shy man. The kind of person that most are suspicious of for some reason that they can’t put their finger on. If you manage to become his friend though, he can be funny.

Appearance: Bartholomew Rogers is of average height, and had brown eyes, and black hair. He is slightly plump, but is nimble nonetheless.

    Theme Song (optional): Sonata Pathetique-Beethoven

Fighting Style: A low knife fight. He avoids fights when possible, and just tries to stab in the back, or shoot a crossbow from afar.

    @mathiau NullBlade / Folorian

    Spoiler

    NullBlade

    Spoiler

Name: Aurélien Lemoine (although he almost never use it)

    Epic Name: NullBlade

Physical Characteristics:  he is almost two meters tall has Makabaki skin colour and topaz yellow eyes, fit. He us age:35

Investiture:  he is an aluminium savant (+40) making him immune to any investiture or Epic powers directly applied on him, in particular his time speed do not get changed by allomantic time bubbles, he doesn’t cast malatium shadows and only his non-aluminium clothes and blade cast atium shadows, he cannot be leeched and shardblades hurt him like a dull blade of the same size and weight (unless they’ve somehow been sharpened, of course). Most detection power work on him, with the notable exception of steelsight -although the absence of things to see might give away his position anyway. Unlike most other teleportation powers, alleytravel and the surge transportation works on him -the latter is essentially creating a perpendicularity and shoving him through it. Like a pewterharm, he burns aluminium even while unconscious

Skills: Skilled longsword (+50) and amateur ranged (+30) combat

Equipment: He has an aluminium longsword in an aluminium sheath on his left side, an aluminium pistol with bullets half as powerful as the regular one in a holster on his right and an unbondable deadeye shardblade of relatively short side in a, aluminium back scabbard (+30). He wears an full chainmail made of aluminium, most of the time with the hood of, all other clothes are fully organic (not pushable). In order to be able to always burn he has aluminium bracers of the kind compounders use piercing through his harms

    Weakness:

He rarely checks whether he is immune to the investiture of his opponent or not, except for the obvious ones like energy beams, though this have the advantage that his opponent may not know if he is immune either

He is a bit paranoid about opponents -or “allies”- tricking him into believing they don’t have any negated power just to use mind control power or the like as soon as he stops burning aluminium

There are powers you would actually prefer not being immune to, typically A-blendalloy or regrowth, especially while unconscious for the latter.

His shardblade don’t have the gemstone needed to bound it, meaning if it leaves his hands someone else can steal it

More of a limitation than a weakness but his clothes under his chainmail are not immune to investiture and a dulled blade still kills

Due to the way his team died, he reacts really badly to body horror

Family: His parents are wordhopers originating from the Alleyverse who decided to settle in France, his father was an atium Ferring and his mother a 4th oath Willshaper, both were killed shortly after he left to the Alleyverse. His wife, PerfectProphecy, is also dead. He has a sister who is still alive.

Home Planet:  Reckoners’ other Earth (the one with Invocation instead of Calamity)

    Backstory:

Aurélien Lemoine started relatively normally, except for the fact that his mother’s spren helped his parent raised him and that they had took him a few times on a trip through Shadesmar to the Alleyverse. A lot of thing changed when he turned 10: his mother gave birth to his little sister, Invocation flared in the sky making his parent far more open with their powers and he snapped to aluminium allomancy.

Up from that point he started dreaming of becoming an epic to fight as one of the now real-life superheroes. His parent told him he didn’t need to wait for that to happened and decided to train him in the usage of the longsword and the shardblade, to encourage him to become an savant and that if he still wanted to be an super hero once adults, they’d give him his father’s shardblade.

At the age of 22, he then joined a newly formed team of epic under the name of NullBlade, compared to the other member of the team, he was very weak, but was appreciated by his comrades for his ability to take down mind-control and hallucination epics and by the ones who feared epics for his ability to stop his comrades, should it be needed.

The leader of this team was PerfectProphecy, an epic with powers of future sight and reality manipulation who later became his wife when they when 28, she was the only member of the team to whom he told the real nature of his powers and of the multiverse. They were considering leaving the team and founding a family in the Alleycity, which NullBlade believed still to be in the fifteen years peace.

The whole team was recently died during a fight where and enemy epic made his wife lost control of her powers, the reality distortion that ensued caused the building to become full of more or less recognizable bodies, every person in the building had at least three distorted corpse of themselves in the pile of bodies -NullBlade too, all heavily distorted.

He was declared dead in the accident and decided to leave to the place he had so much wanted to show his wife, the Alleyverse. He joined the TUBA three months ago to help maintain order, he was… disappointed, to say the least.

    Guild: TUBA, for now

    Psyche and Personality

He is relatively cold with people he doesn't know and has remorse about not settling down with his wife when they still could

As a result of having lived with people with powers far beyond his for years, and marrying one, he doesn’t fear the powerful people.

He is really bent on having people believe he is an epic and not an allomancer,

Fighting Style: He will try as much as possible to ignore his enemy powers exist and to finish the fights quickly so his opponents don’t have time find the weaknesses of his power, typically using Bloodstance or -if outnumbered- Windstance.

    Folorian

    Spoiler

    Name:  Folorian

Physical Characteristics:  Folorian is a Terris of average build and size. He is 28 years old; his skin has a colour similar close of the Alethi one, he’s bald and his eyes are brown.

He wears a traditional Terris tinningdar with V of gold, copper and silver colour. His use the sleeves to hide the important quantities of cooperminds he bears. He also has a silver plated pathian earng on the right hear and a gold-plated imitation on the left one.

Investiture:  Copper feruchemy. He also visited the Nightwatcher who sent him to the Alleycity as his boon and gave him tunnel vision as his curse (see more in weaknesses)

He is 1st oath Lightweaver but does not have access to the surge of transformation, his spren is called Kerr

Reason for being broken to form the bound: when he was 10 he tapped into a copermind of the same kind as the one Wax use at the end of W&W3, except it contained a memory of Spock experimenting on non-lethal Hemalurgy alongside Kelsier, with failures.

Skills: He’s quite intelligent, but not a genius and although he relies a lot on his metalmind, he would still be a skilled. He is also skilled enough at drawing to be able to copy images stored in coperminds without major distortions.

Equipment: He possess an important quantity of unkeyed cooperminds, most of them contain information written by expert scholars about an important number of societies in the cosmere. He also has as well some nearly empty cooperminds for his personal usage, both keyed and unkeyed. In addition to that he has a silver plated pathian earing that would once have given more endurance. He always has a stopwatch on him to mitigate his absence of time perception.

Weakness: He tends to overestimate his own knowledge and experiences about the Cosmere and is not good at social interactions. He also constantly wears an important number of more or less invested metalminds, a coinshot would be able to exploit it. Lastly, he always wears his pathian earing, an entity from the cognitive realm might be able to use that.

His old magic curse force him to focus on only one thing at a time, which means the conscious part of his brain ignore the sensory impulse coming from the rest of the world as well as hunger and the perception of time. For example, if he was reading a book, he wouldn’t hear or see anything but the world on the book and the sound of the pages turning. If he tried to store a memory, it would not store see anything he was not consciously feeling.

As his senses are not turned of but simply ignored, it is possible to make him temporarily snap out of it, making him able to use his senses normally for a few seconds, before he start focusing on only one thing again. The amount of sense stimulation needed to make him snap out will increase with how focus he is on his task but will never be lower than “enough to wake up someone sleeping”.

The “thing” he’s focusing on can be a physical object or something more abstract like a task or a discussion, the more the “thing” is wide, the less he will perceive the details, for example the faces of the people in a discussion will get more blurry as more people get in it.

He shares his curse with Kerr but each of them can focus on a different thing and communication via the Nahel bound is not impeded by the curse.

Family: He is a single child, his parents are Terris from a particularly rheumatically aware splinter group of the worldbringer, but not aware enough to have heard about the alleyverse.

    Home Planet:  Scadrial

Backstory: Folorian was born in a small community of Terris Worldbringers in the south of Northern Scadrial. After discovering his ferruchemical power when he was eight, adults of the community then started training him intensely because he was the first cooper ferring to be born in two generation and therefore the only one able to use their library without southern medallion. He then passed the next three years doing almost nothing but Archivist training until the elders were sure he’d not destroy the stored information’s when he’d read them when he was 10, he snuck in the copermind reserve with his only friend Aliece because she wanted him to show her some of the memories, at some point she suggested to go in the part with the classified minds, there they found the recording of the experimentations on non-lethal hemalurgy. As a punishment for destroying an original recording by watching it, they were kept apart until she became his assigned connector.

After he had finished his archivist training, he passed 10 years copying cooperminds in order to learn as much as possible about other civilisations, their investitures and developed a fascination for shadesmar.

Around the end of these ten years the knowledge on the cooperminds he read seemed to loop and he had more and more trouble finding new knowledge. He asked the elder for the authorisation to go on a journey to find new knowledge, they agreed and assigned Aliece, now a connector, as his translator. Together they went to Roshar in order to learn more about Knights Radiants, a subject about which their library was particularly lacking. But as it was before the Everstrom and the rediscovery of Urithiru, most Radiants were still hiding and they wandered for a long time across Roshar without ever spotting one, although ironically, Folorian had unwittingly started bounding with a Cryptic. One day Folorian realised they were close to the Nightwatcher and, pretexting he wanted to study old magic, he asked her to see wonders he had never heard, and she send him to the Alleycity, close to the scholar guild’s building. He passed the next five years as a member of the Scholar Guild.

Guild: He is part of the Scholar guild

Psyche and Personality:  He easily gets excited by new knowledge and experiences but has no patience for people who try to explain him things he feels like he already knows, he also loves sharing his knowledge. While he is hesitant with initiating a personal relationship with others he easily accepts when someone else initiate one with him. He tends to overestimate his knowledge and almost never changes his ideas about something until he is proved wrong, even if everyone he knows as an opposite opinion.

He intensely hates Hemalurgy and to a lesser extent Dakkor.

Fighting Style: He would use his illusions to help him flee or help the people who can actually fight.

    2nd character once approved

    Spoiler

    @Nohadon Eishtar

    Spoiler

    Name: Eishtar al Sorei

Physical Characteristics: A tall guy (around 6ft) with brown hair and chocolate eyes that dart around the room, his dark skin is mottled with the occasional burn mark or scar.

Investiture: Twinborn: A - Bendalloy / F - Tin (+75, maybe +85 depending on how complimentary it is)

    Skills: Expert: Projectile Weapons (+80)
(If I happen to have more points leftover I'd pick up hand-to-hand combat skills)

Equipment: A sniper rifle almost as big as Eishtar that doesn't have a scope, with a shell made of Tin (Stores sight) that Eishtar uses as his primary metalmind, it's fixed to Eishtar by virtue of a shoulder-strap that doubles as a bendalloy bandolier, holding most of his metal vials. Eishtar also carries an Immeriling-44, a standard long-barreled revolver.

Weakness: Eishtar is shortsighted, meaning he wears tin-framed spectacles (stores hearing) to see well enough to accurately take out targets at a long-range, he also has built up a dependence on bendalloy, habitually burning some regardless of whether or not he needs to, this is jarring for most people, he could be mid-sentence when he burns off some bendalloy. When he doesn't have any bendalloy on him, he goes through withdrawals, he's slower, less precise and less energetic.

Additionally, Eishtar is completely nuts. See backstory for more information.

Family: None, Eishtar grew up an orphan with no home.

    Home Planet: Alleycity

    Backstory

    Spoiler

Born in Alleycity to parents he doesn't remember, Eishtar raised himself from when he was around five till he was 13, taken in by a kindly old man known as father chains, who raised him to follow the teachings of the Goddess Isarok, the lady of light, purity and all the good that exists in the world.

Oh, and also the lady of killing godless heretics.

Eishtar was taught extensively in gunplay and all manner of ranged weaponry, as well as how to use his allomancy and feruchemy to the fullest, this twisted his ideology from a kind-hearted priest to a crazed and zealous man who was too trigger-happy for his own good. He treats everyone who doesn't worship his goddess with light-hearted insults and mockery (Alright ya little heretic, you go an' worship the wrong gods now) He treats those who call him out for being a zealot or for being insane with unrelenting rage. (The goddess will show mercy on your soul. It's a pity I won't show mercy on your body)

    Guild: Unaffiliated.

Personality: Eishtar is brash, arrogant and overestimates his own strength all the time, he seems to always be angry, but that's because he's always around heretics. When someone has shown themselves to be a capable fighter and a skilled marksman Eishtar is more subdued and gives them the respect he believes they deserve.

Appearance[The artistically inclined are welcome to include an illustration of their character.]

    Theme SongJhin, The Virtuoso's theme.

Fighting Style: Eishtar prefers fighting at long range, he's brilliant in firefights, especially those that span hundreds of meters, he frequently uses bendalloy to line up the perfect shots or darting from cover to cover, in close range combat uses his Immerling to great effect, dealing with targets with deadly precision. He's learnt to sync his bendalloy burning with the pull of a trigger, dropping the speed bubble at the last possible moment to give his opponents the least possible time to react without distorting the shot.

    @Negative_Null Alvyer

    Spoiler

    Name: Alvyer Cyn

Physical Characteristics: Urdail male, violet skin, light blue hair and white eyes. He has bone ridges under his eyes, and his hair is rather long, obscuring his ears. He’s shorter than most humans (5’5”). He still wears the jacket to his flight suit even though he’s a long way from any starships.

    Investiture: Maybe eventually

Skills: Projectile weapon combat: Skilled (+60), Melee Combat skill: Average (+35), Pilot experience (+15), Intelligence: Smart (+10), Scholarship (specifically about magics): Average (+20)

Equipment: Sidearm pistol (+5), Combat knife (+5)

    Weakness: Afraid of humans (-10)

Family: Back on ReDawn. They think he’s fighting with the Superiority and are very proud of him.

    Home Planet: ReDawn (Cytoverse)

Backstory: Alvyer was an Urdail soldier who was going to fight with the Superiority. He left ReDawn shortly after Alanik, expecting to meet her there and continue to try and gain citizenship. Unfortunately, he didn’t know much about cytonics at the time, so he just stole a starship and got lost in the vast cosmos. He was able to find a few habitable planets to get more supplies at, but when he crash landed into the Alleyverse, he was close to death. Fortunately he was able to get to Alleycity, where he’s lived since then, studying the magics of the Alleyverse.

Guild (can be unaffiliated): Unaffiliated for now

Psyche (can be combined with personality if necessary): Alvyer is an explorer at heart. He always is looking out for the next adventure; the next person to talk to, the next world to find, the next magic system to learn about. As such, he is endlessly curious and constantly on the move. He’s probably attracted some attention in his multi-versal wanderings, but is usually pretty good at deflecting attention away from his strange appearance and disguising himself. If that fails, he’s equally good at making people feel at ease and also leaving a conversation or group.

    Personality: Intelligent, focused, extroverted

Fighting Style: He prefers to avoid fighting, but because of his military training he can hold his own in almost any fight. Fights defensively and tries to disengage rather than press an advantage.

    @Quitecontrary Quitty

    Spoiler

Name: QuiteContrary, more commonly known as Quitty

Physical Characteristics: Brown-skinned, 5'2", slanted eyes, straight long hair, wears white and gold all the time, has a little smile on her face like she always has a secret, curves in the right places, bright red nails matching her lipstick, moves deliberately and is never seen in a hurry

    Investiture: Gold Compounder

Skills: As former Mistress of the Wafflesworn Kitchens, she can cook for an army or armies. She can commandeer novices and beat them into creating and coming out with the food required regardless of budget. She has excellent sales skills, and keeps her kitchens hired to cater to both sides of a war. Very wealthy, blood of an Elariel, money-making skills. Good with a knife, whatever the knife. A mistress of poisons and potions, which is her hobby when she's not cooking. Charm is a skill she honed for a long time to hide her true murderous nature. Healing.

Equipment: Always carries a knife(s), a vial (s) of poison and a small bomb in her person.

Weakness: Has a love/hate relationship with blood. She hates that it brings out the murderous side of her, and a little bit cannibalistic in that she licks her fingers when it's coated with blood. She looks pristine all the time, but her temper gets the better of her and this usually results in fights. She's been killed and revived before (nobody knows how many times), and everytime she comes back, she's a little more insane inside. She's a little duplicitous, if it serves her.

    Family: She has no family.

    Home Planet: Scadrial

Backstory: An orphan, she was taken in by a lovely rich lady who likes to give to the poor through soup kitchens. She discovered her love for food through the kitchens, but cannot deny her morbid fascination with death because she always suspected that she was special. She was in one of the kitchens when an enemy of her foster mom blew the kitchen up, with her mom and her there. She came out of it unscathed and thus discovered her innate ability to heal, but the loss of her mom broke something inside her. Her anger drove her to kill the ones who blew the kitchen up, and she discovered that she liked it - too much. She used to experiment with the homeless (because nobody would miss them) to perfect her poisons. Took over as the benevolent benefactor of the poor, while killing some of them off. She eventually founded a world-renowned waffle kitchen that serves kingdoms, including Newcago Court and the Lords of Chaos. But disappeared sometime after the Dark Alley was formed. Nobody knew what happened to her. The only thing she remembered was experimenting with a poison that accidentally blew up her "lab". She has no recollection of events from before, but just vague flashes of memory. She resurfaces in Alleyverse wearing dirty clothes, and all she knew was that she was in the wrong place at the wrong time, with the wrong clothes.

Guild (can be unaffiliated): Honorary member of the DA when it was founded. Head of the now defunct(?) Wafflesworn

Psyche (can be combined with personality if neccessary): She's a little afraid of her own strength especially when she sees blood. She knows that she will become uncontrollable and unhinged when she's on a killing spree. Her commitment to wearing white is a reminder never to stain herself, and to keep to a narrow path of decency.

Personality: Charming. Likes to serve others as long as it serves the greater goal of advancing her business. Likes to play both sides, or all sides. Curious.

Fighting Style: Prefers not to fight head on. She likes to poison and so fights like a traitor, stabs people's backs.

    @Sambews

    Spoiler

    Name: Koh

Physical Characteristics: Very tall (5'9"), with spindly arms

Investiture: An awakener with 51 breath (Just over the first heightening).

Skills: Writing ciphers, memorization. Most other things relating to linguistics.

Equipment: In Koh's trench coat are stacks of paper, nearly a hundred pencils, and food rations. Otherwise, he has nothing.

Weakness: Very weak physically. Very inexperienced. Would likely lose to a child in a fight.

Family: Koh is an only child, who's parents are middle class workers on Nalthis. They've since died, and Koh barely remembers them.

    Home Planet: Nalthis

Backstory: Koh grew up as a middle class citizen in Hallandren, where he studied linguistics at the university who's existence I don't want to fact check. His first few years, he acted like the average college kid. Messing around, hanging out with friends, etc. During his third year, however, he began dedicating himself to his studies to a fault. He barely interacted with his family, began ignoring his friends, and was constantly studying. Around this time, Koh began purchasing breath in secret, eventually acquiring 50, including his own. This irregular behavior continued until his 4th year, when he broke into the school to access the library. Koh searched for ways to continue his studies, eventually finding his way off world and into the Alleyverse.

    Guild: Currently unaffiliated

Personality: Secretive to a fault, even when the 'secret' is obvious. Pretends to know what he's talking about, but rarely does. The most important thing to Koh is consistency.

Appearance: Your typical anonymous figure, with a trench coat and fedora. Instead of sun glasses, though, he wears a mask similar in appearance to the Pale Champion's mask in Hollow Knight.

Fighting Style: Imagine if you pulled a knife on a random person. Him fighting would look a little like that person's reaction. If running fails, he'll probably lose.

    @ShadowLord_Lith Thulaen

    Spoiler

    Name: Thulaen Withrrun

Skills: Mastermind (65), Caretaker (ave.), Housekeeper (Skilled), Cooking (Expert). (all =40)

Magic: Channeler (37 on the power scale/ 125 points, I think),  Healer (10 points), Dreamer (30 points, according to the list. She is untrained in this power.).

Biography: Thulaen was born in the Alleycity to two parents in a loving and successful marriage. Her father was a man from Elantris, her mother a woman from Westland who’d had a bit of training in the white tower before she’d run away and made it to alleycity through a number of weave accidents. Thulaen spent much of childhood learning how her Channeling and Talent worked and how to heal animals. When she was nine, one of the regular fights that occur in the alleys caught her as a bystander and she got knocked into the road where a car ran over her legs. She tried to heal herself, but the adrenaline and the lack of real or effective teaching left her attempt less than perfect. She managed to limp her way home and practiced her healing until she fixed what she could in her legs. From then on, she had trouble channeling much unless adrenaline was in her system. She spent years learning how to help out around the home to avoid being a burden on her parents, and was determined to have a positive outlook despite how much pain she was usually in, and eventually she did. Her hatred of violence also came from that moment. One day, she met Tena while on one of her less-than-common outdoor excursions, and she started going out more to meet her more often, quickly becoming friends with the woman and falling in love after maybe a month. When Tena asked for a date, she was more than happy to agree. Though walking hurts, it’s a pain she’s mostly used too- the more stress is put on her legs, though, the worse the pain becomes.

Notes: Smells like cinnamon and caramel brownies. She refuses to fight unless she’s protecting her wife or children’s lives, and rarely leaves her home for more than an hour or two at a time. Struggles to channel unless she’s scared or full of adrenaline. The stronger her adrenaline rush or fear, the easier her power comes to her. Has trouble healing broken bone- the worse the break, fracture, or splintering, the worse her healing tends to be of the damage. Flesh and organs are easier for her, and animals are very simple for her to heal. She also has trouble moving faster than a speed-walk or jumping, and even standing up on her own can be hard on bad days. Though she has an easy time remembering and learning things, she has a really rough time making plans or thinking ahead into the future more than a few days, quickly feeling overwhelmed if she tries to think of everything that might happen that far- she usually avoids making many plans unless she wants to surprise her family.

Weaknesses: Is untrained in her powers and can currently only heal and move relatively small and lightweight objects. (-15) Due to her broken legs as a child, and the imperfect healing she performed on them, she cannot run or even speed walk for longer than a few minutes without experiencing debilitating pain, and cannot jump or easily climb for the reason as well, making stairs difficult for her. (-25) She also generally struggles to use her channeling unless she is panicking or on an adrenaline rush, and has to hum a lullaby while she channels to focus her healing effectively. (-20) She cannot heal bone-related injuries without immense effort thanks to a mental block from her leg injury, and is better at healing animals than people. (-10)

    @Rushu42 Aln, Acacia

    Spoiler

    Alanis

    Spoiler

Name: Alanis Sheneth (Goes by Aln)

Physical Characteristics: Aln is short, reaching only 5’1”, and has a slight build. She’s 26 years old. She has short, slightly curly brown hair, and brown eyes. Her clothing is neat and practical, usually accented by a long coat full of pockets.

Investiture: Aln is a Truthwatcher of the 2nd Oath who has long struggled with swearing her 3rd. Her spren, Pel, is encouraging but very quiet.

1st Oath: Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination.

2nd Oath: I will seek knowledge wherever it can be found.

She has also visited the Nightwatcher [see weakness].

Skills: She has a genius level intellect, and is an expert scholar. Her particular areas of expertise include Investiture and the history of the Cosmere, but she's generally studied anything that she can get her hands on. She has no combat training, and will avoid fighting.

Equipment: She carries a leather satchel which contains whichever books from her library that she deemed pertinent to the situation, as well as her own notes. She also carries several spanreeds that connect her to her guild, and makes sure to have a few infused spheres at all times. She owns a small dagger, a gift from her brother, but will usually leave it at home.

Weakness: Aln is completely deaf. However, she has a Nightwatcher boon that essentially puts captions on life. If she has a clear view of someone speaking, she sees what they're saying as illusory words floating in the air. This boon comes with a bane that directly affects it; the more familiar she is with a person, the weaker her Investiture becomes around them. This includes both her Knight Radiant abilities and her Nightwatcher boon.

Family: Aln has two siblings in the Alleyverse: a younger sister, Temeria (roleplayed by Sorana) and an older brother, Torenat (NPC). Her parents are alive on Roshar, but she's not on very good terms with them.

    Home Planet: Roshar

Backstory: Aln was born to a darkeyed family of the second nahn in the Thanadal princedom. Though not actively cruel, her mother kept her isolated throughout her childhood, leaving her to study alone in the nearby ardentia. The only person who made any effort to connect to her was her older brother Torenat. He would sneak out to the ardentia when their mother wasn't watching, and she gradually taught him to read and write. When Aln was 16 and Torenat 18, their mother finally discovered the subterfuge, and was furious at Torenat for defying the ighteyed ideals of masculinism. She enlisted Torenat in the army, where he was shipped off to the Shattered Plains. It was during this period of time that Aln, completely alone, began to discover her abilities as a Knight Radiant. After a couple months, she swore the 1st oath and began to make plans to escape and reunite with her brother. However, before she could put this into action, her parents discovered her new abilities. Frightened, they contacted the Vorin church, and Aln was forced to flee with nothing except some stolen spheres.

She reunited with Torenat after weeks of harrowing travel, and he told her of the Nightwatcher. Together, they journeyed to meet her, and Aln was granted the boon/bane pair described above. Aln felt liberated, but Torenat was called back to the Shattered Plains, and she accompanied him. There, he was reassigned to the front lines, and he received a bad injury that left him barely able to walk. He was deemed unfit for duty, and when Aln discovered the Alleyverse, she convinced him to accompany her to the city. Torenat was finally able to pursue fabrial creation, and eventually started a small business. Though Aln did a lot of travelling throughout the Cosmere, she spent much of her time settling down in the Alleyverse, actually making friends and spending time with her brother. It was during the early part travels that she swore the 2nd Oath, but she struggled with the 3rd for the next 9 years. She founded the Scholar's Guild as a place for other scholars to share their research, as the name suggests.

Guild: She leads the Scholar's Guild.

Psyche: She struggles with anxiety and self-doubt, and doesn't consider herself to be very brave. She's very introverted.

Personality: Aln is very practical and logically-minded, although this is tempered by the fact that she's rather idealistic and compassionate. She's prone to getting lost in thought, and has a bit of a stubborn streak.

    Acacia

    Spoiler

    Name: Acacia Smedry

Physical Characteristics/Appearance: Female, and average height, about 5’5’’. She dresses differently every day, and changes her hair frequently, in order to make those around her double-take whenever they see her.

Investiture: Her Smedry talent is getting in the way. She has a supernatural ability to be in exactly the most inconvenient place possible for those around her, which she uses in combat scenarios and to generally create chaos.

Skills: Smart, skilled at hand-to-hand combat, and skilled at infiltration/deceit.

Equipment: She has no real occulators lenses, but carries a number of fake ones in order to confuse Librarians.

Weakness: Acacia’s Smedry talent is difficult to control, so she can be annoying to be around. She also has a problem with authority, and her habit of creating chaos wherever he goes has an unsurprising tendency to get her into trouble. Unrelatedly, she’s severely claustrophobic.

Family: She’s a cousin of the Smedry line, and therefore has a large extended family on Alcatraz Earth, but she’s not particularly close to any of them.

    Home Planet: Alcatraz Earth

Backstory: Acacia was born in the Free Kingdoms, and was taught the standard Smedry ways. However, she displayed a greater talent for Librarian-related skills than the rest of her family, and was therefore chosen to go undercover in the Hushlands to spy on their operations and to undermine everyday operations. In pursuit of this, she trained to pretend to be a Librarian, and to be able to defend herself in high-stakes situations. As soon as she was old enough, she was sent to the United States.

In the Hushlands, she found a job filling out paperwork for the Librarians, and began to send reports of their plans back to her family. Throughout it all, she endeavored to create as much minor chaos as possible. She prided herself in her ability to create dozens of minor inconveniences without drawing attention to herself. She’d deliberately misfile paperwork, or subtly rearrange furniture. One night she snuck out and switched all the “push” doors to “pull” doors and watched people crash into them all day. After a week, she put them back.

Throughout all this work, however, she began to have doubts. Though she detested how the Librarians lied to their people, she couldn’t help but appreciate some of the efficiency of their systems. Not only this, but she even began to befriend many of her “co-workers”. She began to wonder whether the chaos she spread was really the right way to fight.

To distract herself from this internal conflict, she decided to do something big. On some false pretense, she got herself into the Highbrary, and managed to replace the key to their filing system with a slightly incorrect one. On her way out, though, she was caught, and her cover was blown. She fought her way out and ran. As she was running, she took a shortcut down an Alleyway, and suddenly found herself in an entirely new city. It took her a while to become accustomed to the idea of a Cosmere, but eventually she found a job as the editor of the Alleyverse Post.

Guild: The Alleyverse Post (Scholar’s Guild)

Personality/psyche: Acacia is far more rational and orderly than most Smedrys, traits which trouble her as being far too much like a Librarian. Because of this, she will occasionally act aggressively reckless and ridiculous just to prove that she deserves her surname. Even with her relative level-headedness, she genuinely enjoys adding chaos and variety in everyday life. She’s habitually mischievous, instinctively playing minor pranks even when there are no Librarians around to thwart.

Fighting Style: She’s all about confusing the enemy with seemingly random movements. By all appearances, she just happens to trip into a spot that blocks an attack.

    @Scarletfox Meredith Shadow

    Spoiler

Name: Meredith Shadow (known as the Shadow)

Physical Characteristics: 5'10", not significantly bulky or thin, but very strong.

    Investiture: None

    Skills: Thief/grifter (50), knife thrower (50), martial arts (10),

Equipment: Almost always covered in small obsidian throwing knives hidden on her person, as well as two four inch obsidian daggers. She has a black backpack she keeps with her at all times with extra knives, a little food, water, some outfits, eye drops, a black cloth, contacts, and a red wig. She puts other things in there, but she always has those essentials. She usually wears black trousers and a black turtleneck shirt.

Weakness: She is a bit arrogant, and gives away too much of her plans sometimes. She also gets in over her head a lot, and has to make things up on the way. She also loves hot tea, so will be less careful about checking it for poison.

Family: Mother, father, and twin sister are all dead.

    Home Planet: Scadrial

Backstory: Born to a loving mother and father in the underworld with her identical twin sister. Her parents ran cons on minor nobles all the time, but always tried to avoid Keeps with mistborn. Her dad was a Thug, and her mom was a Tineye. Together they made a good enough team to do small cons without the help of a full thieving crew. During her childhood, Meredith and her twin sister, Aurora, were trained in how to be good thieves, and defend themselves without Allomancy. Meredith's mother was a skilled knife-thrower, and her father was skilled at hand-to-hand combat. Her mother focused on Meredith and her father on Aurora. Meredith got some training from her dad about hand-to-hand combat, but not nearly as much as she got for throwing knives. When Meredith and Aurora became teenagers, they discovered a thieving strategy where they would dress the same, and confuse the guards by making them think there was only one intruder. Then one of them would send the guards on a wild goose chase, while the other got away with the valuables. Her parents called the mini-team their little shadows. During one of these missions, an unexpected mistborn showed up. They ended up splitting up to hopefully confuse the mistborn, and then dissapear in the mists. It worked. The mistborn went after only Aurora, and Meredith escaped. But Aurora wasn't able to get away, and was killed. Meredith returned home to find that her parents had been discovered by the Steel Inquisitors, and had been taken away. Meredith was crushed over her family, but knew that she couldn't stay with the Steel Inquisitors after her. She left the city, eventually joined a group of worldhoppers, and found her way to Alleyverse, where she could start over.

Personality: Very outgoing and extroverted. She almost never trusts anyone, but once you've won her trust, she will be eternally loyal. She likes to be with people, even if they don't know anything about the real her. She has a kind of: "I exist, so deal with it" attitude. She plays so many personalities, that she doesn't really know who she is with it, though she doesn't worry about it too much unless people point it out. She can come across as cold and commanding when she's not playing a part, but deep down she's a softie.

Appearance: Female, thick curly black hair, light green eyes.

Fighting Style: She usually tries to fight from afar, throwing knives pinning them to walls by their clothes, or immobilizing them. When she's fighting up close, she is really good at landing attacks, but not very good at dodging them.

    @Random Bystander Zaria

    Spoiler

    Name: Zaria

Physical Characteristics: About 6 ft. tall, blue eyes, black hair, pale skin.

Investiture: Willshaper who swore the second oath, Slider.

Equipment: Two knives for fighting (one aluminum and one obsidian), a small sphere pouch, multiple vials of bendalloy, a small handgun, a couple dozen bullets.

Weakness: Easily distracted, had amnesia so the only source of info she has about her past life comes from Orb (the lightspren she is bonded with), occasionally suffers from seizures, can't stand the sight of her own blood, when she gets mad she is hard to calm down.

Family: As I said, she had amnesia, all she knows about her parents is that her mom was from Scadrial, and her dad was a listener.

    Home Planet: Roshar

Backstory: She grew up fairly isolated, and her mom taught her a lot of languages (which she remembers). She bonded with Orb when she was 4 (over 5 in earth years). She later went to Scadrial, where she snapped and became a slider. She then had amnesia. A month after the Amnesia incident, she found the Alleyverse and decided to try living there.

    Guild (can be unaffiliated): Unaffiliated

Psyche (can be combined with personality if neccessary): Has ADHD

Personality: Very cheerful, usually optimistic, easily distracted

Fighting Style: She likes fighting with knives and using a speed bubble at the same time if possible. If not possible, she will most likely either use guns or run away.

    @Shard of Reading Liam

    Spoiler

    Name: Liam

    Age20

    Gender: Male

Appearance: Tall and skinny with long blonde hair. He is average in appearance. Not very attractive or ugly.

    InvestitureSteel twinborn.

Equipment: Metal vials, coin pouch, metalminds, glass knife.

SkillsTenacity. He will never give up until he is beaten.

Weakness: He is not that intelligent. He is incredibly vain. He thinks he is the best at everything and he can do everything himself. He is actually not that skilled of a fighter he just relies on his increased speed to allow him to get through the fight. Take away his metals and he is helpless. He thinks violence is the answer to everything. He has trouble thinking of a solution that is not "Punch them in the face."

Personality: Actually kind of naive and an idealist despite all that has happened to him. He does not like to hurt people (I know this is contradictory but when he does fight he rarely kills. He just wounds enough to get them out of the fight.)

    Family: All dead.

    Home Planet: Scardrial

History: His parents were both killed in a fire when he was young. He was then taken to an orphanage with his brother and sister. They stayed there until was old enough to move away. (He moved to the alleyverse at this point) So he got a job and tried to care for his siblings. Then one day he came home and he found that both his siblings had been killed by a thief. He got really mad at the person, snuck up behind him and hit him on the head with a book. He accidently killed the person and he regrets it to this day. The shock of doing that is what caused him to snap.

    Guild: Currently unaffiliated

Fighting Style: He throws a handful of coins into the air. He then pushes on them as hard as he can and runs around to maneuver the coins into the right place. He does not aim for the face or the chest. He tries to hit in the arms or legs so he does not kill them. If that does not work he runs up to the person, stabs them and runs away. He is not skilled enough with steel to be able to deflect projectiles.

    @Silva Eiran, Eve

    Spoiler

    Eiran

    Spoiler

    Name: Eiran Sullivan

Skills: Math, logic, writing, using spreadsheets, baking, haggling.

    Epic Power: Precognition

Uncontrolled - He sporadically sees bits of the future (e.g. what color shirt a person might wear the next day, a snippet of a conversation). These random snippets aren’t set in stone what is to come - they’re just the most likely to happen.

Controlled - When in danger he can see every possible course of action. Danger constitutes someone doing something that could end up causing him physical or emotional pain. He can flip through the different possibilities from anywhere of a couple of seconds or several minutes depending on how far away the danger is; he will not see any realities without or after the danger.

Epic Weakness: Inflicting injury onto others. Eiran will not be able to see into the future until they stop feeling pain from it or stop focusing on it.

Weaknesses: Eiran isn’t aware of his surroundings when looking into the future and becomes vulnerable. Lacks training in physical combat. His bouts of deja vu leave him confused and disoriented.

    Age: 25

Appearance: Short brown hair, black framed glasses, green eyes, somewhat lanky, 5’ 7”. Typically wears jeans and solid colored long sleeved button-down shirts.

    Family: A mother in Newcago

History: Before Calamity rose, Eiran worked as an actuary. He was good at his work and did well, getting a job without much effort at the time he needed one. When he gained his powers he was alone in a junkyard contemplating what he was doing with his life so there was no one around during his Rending. His fear of injuring others also prevented him from going too near civilization. He works at a real-estate firm in Newcago as an actuary, concealing the fact that he's an Epic from those around him. Recently he was sent to Alleycity to see if developing there would be a good idea. However, he has started experiencing weird moments of deja vu in which what happens to him feels familiar in the way his random visions do, except, post-Shift, Eiran never saw these things. In reality, they were things he saw beforehand that he doesn't remember.

Guild: None, but has a subconscious leaning towards TUBA

    Eve Tacet-Yin-Dove

    Spoiler

    Name: Eve Tacet-Yin-Dove

    Age: 16

Physical Description: Dark hair pulled back in a messy bun. Pale skin, normally dirt smudged. Dark, almost black, eyes with a thin circle of ice blue surrounding the pupil. Just reaches 5' when not slouching and at perfect posture. Almost always wears all black and lace-up boots.

    Investiture: Aluminum Misting

Strengths: Skilled in hand-to-hand combat and projectiles. Average with fighting with weapons in close quarters. Light on her feet. More likely to try to attack with words than physical strength.

Weaknesses: Small and easily overwhelmed in contests of strength. Very much reliant on not getting caught and less confident when things are out of her hands. More likely to try to attack with words than physical strength.

Family: Dead. Considers those who live in the poorer sections of city her family now.

Backstory: She hasn't exactly had the most fun childhood.

The Doves (age 0-5): Eve’s first mother was a charity organizer, originally from Scadrial--a fact that was ignored until Eve Snapped, her father an accountant. She had two older brothers. As children they’d have contests with an intent of scaring one another. Eve practiced walking quietly and eventually even at a young age started naturally being utterly silent. When she was five, she was out on a playdate with another kid when her eldest brother had his friend over. She was an Epic with fire powers and lost control. The Dove house burnt down and all were killed, but Eve. One of Eve’s mother’s friends was a worldhopper and a worker at the orphanage Eve was placed in. She took Eve to Scadrial where she dropped her with her friends the Yins.

The Yins (age 5-10): The Yins adopted Eve as one of their own. She always knew she wasn’t really one of them - they were dark-skinned and she extremely pale. But they always treated her kindly. They had one child of their own, a female atium misting two years older than her who tried hard, unsuccessfully, to befriend her. The parents were both gold mistings. They were very aware of her past and when she decided she wanted to learn to fight, they supported her the whole way and helped her to better understand her Investiture. It was when she was out in a field training that an infamous Hemalurgist came by and killed them in order to harvest their abilities. When Eve entered her house to find their corpses, she immediately sent a spanreed to her mother’s old friend like she’d told her to in case something like that ever happened. It turned out, Eve learnt talking to her son who was now in possession of it, that she’d been killed by a Coinshot accidentally overshooting who ran out of coins and landed on her. Eve was devastated and at age 10 visited Alleycity for the first time, catching a ride from a kindly worldhopper who she never saw again. There she lived as a beggar, learning thievery and making connections she'd later use, for a year before the childcare authorities miraculously found her. They dropped her with the Tacets on Roshar.

The Tacets (age 11-14): The Tacets were a more elderly couple who had never been able to have children. They took to Eve immediately and loved everything about her, even her pessimistic attitude. The Tacets were Alethi, but didn’t force her to take on any of their customs - it was her choice whether or not to cover her safehand. Eve didn’t really communicate with many people her age while on Roshar, she was extremely introverted and spent most of her time practising her aim and stealth. She kept that up for five years. When she was fourteen, things went wrong again. It turned out that the Tacets’ cousins actually owed heavy debts to a group of Radiants and had been avoiding taxes. To that clan, the punishment for that was death to all relatives related by blood or marriage. They left Eve alive, before that point she had never taken upon herself the Tacets’ name, deciding she didn’t qualify under the requirement, but made it clear that if she ever told anyone what had happened they would hunt her down. Knowing there was no way their neighbors wouldn’t ask, Eve fled in panic back to Alleycity

She returned to the area that had taken her in years ago. It didn't take long for her to realize that bringing Investiture in its entirety was an unrealistic goal. Eve turned her focus on opposing the Forge which kept the area from continuing to improve.

Personality: She's well aware that she aims high and because of this, she acknowledges that she might well fail. At the same time, she doesn't view failure as a legitimate option and will fight hard to get her way. Additionally, she doesn't view money as a way to solve problems. Despite having access to three full inheritances, Eve has hardly touched any of them. She believes that living like and with the people she seeks to help is the best way to fully understand. There also is a part of her that is in turmoil about her own Invested status, yet she still always keep some aluminum on her, no matter how seemingly useless burning the metal is.

    @SingingMosaic Nnimmani'um, Dot

    Spoiler

    Nnimmani'um

    Spoiler

Name: Nnimmani'um (double consonants are long consonants, if that makes sense, and the U is somewhere between bug and plume)

Physical Characteristics: Varies. Their coloration is red on black. Several trails of red cascade over their shoulders, drops and streaks of it drifting over the rest of their frame. Also varies. One thing that stays semi consistent are the distinctive red markings bracketing their eyes, though their specifics vary from form to form. In workform, they are gentle, rounded loops, in warform they are sharp triangular brackets, in nimbleform they are like the precise marks of some delicate script. In dullform they are just straight lines with a faint inward curve at their bottom tips.

Investiture: Singer born disconnected, picked up some knowledge of their existence after the Everstorm but the information is full of gaps. (20)

Skills: Handiwork (Survival Skills) (25) Experience as part of an information gathering network, which equates to spying experience. (Average Spying 20) Intelligent, but this varies. Average hand to hand. (20) Average knife throwing.

Equipment: two hemalurgic spikes (10), one stealing ferruchemical mental speed, (F-zinc 30) and one stealing allomantic tin. (A-tin 35) Zinc metalminds in the form of bracers, anklets and two rings, though these last are not usually seen. Vials of tin. A handful of throwing knives for when close combat isn’t the best idea, generally hidden about their person. Somewhat hydrophobic paints which match the colors of their complexion, will come off if scrubbed but won't run in rain unless it's torrential.

Weaknesses: Has issues with emotional attachment, doesn't understand it in the context of their existence, and probably wouldn't recognize it unless it hit them with a metaphorical brick. (-5) An emotional allomancer could take advantage of their spikes (-10).

Is overly magically sensitive compared to others of their kind, and has greater issues not blending with the instincts of different forms. The first means that their natural sensitivity to the environment can be overwhelming, with more detail coming through with rhythms due to the cracks the spikes made. This would be difficult at times even if they’d been exposed to their own context but, with no background on what’s happening, it can be debilitating or levels of near debilitating when magical damage is done in or to their vicinity or the world at large, or when emotions run particularly high. The second means that while they have no issue taking on different forms mechanically speaking, the things each form tends to or hesitates at are more intense, with less controllable separation between their person and their current brain. It does also mean that someone could influence them toward a particular form, when they intended to change or when it’s possible for them to. Think of the weakness in some game systems that’s usually labeled something along the lines of, needs a controlled environment. They won’t flip into singleminded pursuit of something the brain wants at the drop of a hat, but they try to keep how easily they can be influenced, both internally and externally, hidden wherever possible. Warform and mateform would be really bad ideas, for example, at least before they’ve had intensive training in focus and mindfulness.

    Family: unknown

Home Planet: Roshar, though there is little memory of it, Alleyplanet, though there isn’t much foundation there.

Backstory: A pair of middle-aged human worldhoppers did the best they could to nurse them back to health, telling them that they’d been found on Roshar, weak and delirious with terrible head wounds. The two women treated them like their own child, bringing them back to Alleycity. They told them that while Alleycity wasn’t the safest place to be, Roshar wasn’t safe for anyone. They filled Nnimm in on the background of what had happened there, but having no memory of the events, it was more like reading the awful events of ancient history, someone else’s story. Both women impressed upon them how unusual their spikes were, how they might be the only one or one of a bare handful of their kind who had any, and the context for the abilities they granted. and they realized they must have had some experience with the abilities, because they picked them up again naturally. In a city full of so many different Invested and intelligent uninvested people, they learned it would be impossible to keep them secret, but they never mention them. They’ve been on the Alleyplanet for a little under a year, recovering and listening, but they never got more than faint flashes and vague impressions of anything from their old life. But beneath the quiet attentive façade is a mind burning with questions, an intense and insatiable curiosity, and a deep desire to understand who they are, where they came from, and who experimented on them. Not to run away—no, to learn from them. Because one thing that always made sense to them was that there’s no sense in running from the unknown.

Theme song: Exocat – Demons Within

    Guild: unaffiliated

Psyche: somewhat emotionally unstable, but this isn't as apparent sometimes as it would be in a human. Friendly on the surface, but doesn't open up easily. Cynical, but not often dangerously or bitterly so.

Personality: Gentle and generous, slow to anger but once angry they are the slow, cold, implacable kind of angry. Too stubborn for their own good--more dig your heels in and reinforce the perimeter stubborn than shout and puff up stubborn. Discreet and attentive. Could sometimes be perceived as callous due to their lack of experience with emotional connection.

Fighting Style: They can defend themself if they need to, using a hand to hand method that utilizes quick, disabling strikes so they can get away. The fact that they're faster and stronger than humans has helped, but not much in environments full of magical people. Quick knife throws, when they can’t get close.

Hopefully this helps clear it up. Life for Nnimm as what they are is complicated and difficult and I hope I managed to portray why.

    Dot

    Spoiler

    Name: Dot

Physical Characteristics: Varies. His common form is humanoid, though subtly inhuman. Small, barely over five feet in height. Compact, powerful build. Strikingly dark skin, nearly the same shade as his black hair. Dark eyes that faintly gleam peer intently out of an angular face. Quick, scarred-looking hands, long-fingered and capable. With his build and a runner's legs and arms, no space is wasted in his figure. He has a flying hordeling with a large, dark silver eye on its back which, when it is with him, is always close at hand. This is a mere curiosity as far as anyone has known, because he could observe an environment with many of them like the rest of his kind can.

Investiture: Sleepless. He has created his form to be very fast and agile, and has over time given it the ability to pour on bursts of incredible speed, though this will exhaust him if done for more than a few seconds.

Skills: Scholarship Investiture. Expert artifabrian. Mastermind intelligence.

Equipment: He has a number of rare or strange items which he keeps for curiosity in various hidden places. He rarely has more than a little money and some small, useful tools on his person, preferring to improvise what he needs from his environment. He keeps hidden supply caches which he can fall back on to build things, exchange for other resources, or generate what currency he may need, though he almost never uses much money at once. These are not limitless, nor is anything ever perfectly hidden, not even someone as accustomed to longterm planning as he is can manage that. Also they are spread across several worlds and a number of hard to access places, meaning it takes him a lot of time to gather any significant amount of resources. He uses all of this very sparingly, preparing for an eventuality he rarely speaks of.

Weaknesses: He has walked too close to the lives of short-lived creatures, so he does have emotions to manipulate that are more easily read than others of his kind.

If he does get attached to someone, he will almost never show it, meaning the actions which stem from it can be vastly misinterpreted.

He is insatiably curious, so often runs the risk of losing chunks of his physical resources or damaging/losing the hordelings that make up his main form in his wandering and experimenting and tinkering.

He has difficulty externalizing the things that drive and motivate him, and doesn’t broach the subject if he can avoid it.

    Family: unknown

    Home Planet: Roshar, sort of

Backstory: He is thousands of years old, with memories and records that reach back to the prior Desolation. Most of those who remain of his species are as old, and some are older. After those events, he spent much of his time wandering worlds. His aim was to understand, not only things and events, but the people who made them all so interesting. With his careful attention to detail, he inevitably couldn’t escape context and perspective. He grew to fear settling down anywhere, knowing that he would notice silence, knowing that it could matter. He spent time on Scadrial, Nalthus and Roshar, but very little time anywhere near Sell because of the difficulty getting there. (If it’s impossible, I can take that off, I don’t remember at the moment.) He stumbled into the Alleyverse briefly long ago and went exploring beyond it, which resulted in plenty of timeline strangeness, as he tended to drop into places at odd times and into places he’d been before or after he should have been able to. He spent little of his time in the Alleyverse in anything remotely resembling one piece, so he could be recognized, but the chances aren’t high. He has been drawn back to it because it presents a mystery to him. He has a faint, uneasy feeling that everything is horribly wrong there, but can’t pin a finger, or a Hordeling on it. As this isn’t a situation he has encountered in a very long time, he can’t resist his curiosity. He is one who loves a strange experiment, an interesting device, a curious dilemma, the way universes work, what those within them do with that, how worlds form, how people form, what makes everything alive.

    Guild: unaffiliated, for now

Personality: Insatiably curious. He can seem reckless sometimes. He can seem cold and detached, in some situations somewhat controlling. He is calculating but also considerate, thoughtful and reflective. The external dichotomy comes from, in part, his difficulties with communication. There are many things he will do in the pursuit of information and a working understanding of information that create his external impression.

    Theme Song: none yet

Fighting Style: Avoid if at all possible, if not, get to high ground as fast as he can and throw or fire something.

Backstory: Althea grew up in an orphanage close to the horneater peaks, as her parents gave her away when they discovered her outer appearance. She usually kept to herself and spent her time reading, learning. When she was allowed to, she left the orphanage to travel the world and further improve her abilities. She was recruited by the Ghostbloods soon after she left the orphanage and they taught her about hemalurgy and how to soulcast. After she bonded her spren, she spent more and more time in shadesmar or soulcasting. Especially shadesmar was a place she grew to love, as the light there didn’t hurt her. From her thirteenth birthday on she worked in the laboratories of the Ghostbloods, advancing through their ranks until she was appointed Righthand shortly before Solace returned to take back control.
Althea learned that she had a sister, shortly before the start of Era 2. She then had her followed and finally decided to appear in the open at the Ghostblood Ball hoping, to meet her there.
After Solace/ Sephtis appearance and the conflict in Oasis City she and Max followed him. They managed to find out about his weakness and stopped him from conquering the world, by making him face his own fear. Afterwards she married Max and now lives together with him in a small house outside of Alleycity.

Althea challenged Lusk to a duel, after Lusk recovered from his illness, as she wanted him to stop mobbing Max. They ended with a tie, both of trapped in Shadesmar for a short while. When Oasis City got attacked by the Bureau of Villanry she helped kill Sebastian, but got wounded during the fight. A few hours later Vesuvius kidnapped some Ghostblood children and killed one of them, as he wanted to free one of the prisoners in Oasis City. Althea followed Vesuvius together with Max and the Ronin in the Sewer System where they managed to find Vesuvius after a long search. When he exploded a large bomb, killing himself, she managed to elsecall Max and herself away, only to be poisoned by Lena afterwards. Max saved her, but had to call the Phoenix to do so. Leaving the Sewers they went up into the city to help fight Lord Ajax and his Minions.

Althea met Max during her training as a GB. They were teens when they became a couple and married in their early twenties. She never advanced through the ranks, instead stayed a mid ranked member of the guild. She is specialized in gaining information and developping plans against targets being able to use investiture, all the while prefering the take a back seat and not spend too much time in the spotlight. Her heart doesn't lie with her work, but instead with her family.

    Era 5 oaths:

1st: Life before Death, Strength before Weakness, Journey before Destination
2nd: I will allow logic and facts to guide my actions.
3rd: I search for all dangers and take appropriate actions to counter them.
4th: I won't let my emotions control me.

Additional Information: Althea owns a Shardblade and a ring (consisting of all 16 feruchemical metals, several Aons to be activated when pressed together and a gemstone able to contains stormlight) forged by Laonin. She neither carries them, nor will she use them during Era Four.

    Lena

    Spoiler

    Name: Lena (originally Lanera Aander)

    Age: 27

Physical: long red hair, small and light built, unassuming face, always carries a bag with some poisons and something to eat

    Investiture: None

Skills: Expert Poison Mixing (40), Expert Draught Mixing (40), Skilled Disguising (30), Average Healing (20), Average Cooking (20)

Weaknesses: can’t see blood (-10), can’t hide her emotions, Antisocial personality disorder (description see Characteristics)

Characteristics: delightens when she is able to poison somebody, especially if she has the time to study the reactions of her victims, cold-hearted, is willing to sacrifice others any moment (or as soon as she feels she has nothing to gain from the relationship)
    Antisocial personality disorder:

-Failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors:
    deception, as indicated by repeatedly lying, use of aliases, or conning others for personal profit or pleasure;
    -impulsivity or failure to plan ahead;
    -reckless disregard for safety of self or others;
-consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain consistent work     behavior
-lack of remorse, as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated, or stolen from another.

Family: Lena grew up in Teoin, her parents were merchants and overlooked her tendency to poison smaller animals, when she was a child. Later, when she grew older and started to slip poison to some of their workers, they tried to steer her from that path, but failed. Lena has a 5-year old son, she almost never gets to see. Her grandmother cares for the child, and writes some letters to Lena now and then, but mostly their contact consists of Lena sending money home to support them both. She and her grandmother have the agreement, that Lena stays away from the child. There isn’t any noticeable contact to her parents, but she does visit eldest brother now and then, who lives and works in Alleycity.

History: After the birth of her child, Lena and her husband lived together in Teoin. The marriage had been arranged by her parents, as they hoped, that having a family would ground Lena. Shortly after the birth of their first child, Lena poisoned her husband after a fight, since she felt, like he wanted to control her. Avoiding arrest, only by her parents connections, she left Teoin late at night. With nothing but her son and a few cloths and travelled to her grandmother. She stayed there for the next few months, but after a while there, her grandmother caught her observing the death of the village smith, making notes as to how improve her draught. The incident was followed by a longer discussion, and ended with a choice for Lena. Leave Sel and never return, or face arrest and a trial most likely ending in her death. Lena left Sel, leaving her child with grandmother, something her grandmother insisted on and joined some travellers on their way to Alleycity. After her arrival there she started to steal and to scam, finally met the other members of the Thieve’s Guild and joined them on their most recent heists. She has a small flat in a poorer part of the city, which looks like a laboratory, full of plants, and chemical substances, as she is earning her money by selling poisons. She still tries them always out the first time herself, and prefers to carefully note down the reactions of her victims. She doesn’t necessarily kill them, believes incapacitation to be even more interesting, since it means, she has to work with more precision.
During Era 2 Lena participated in a few scams, the largest one being Alleyzon where she and a few others members stole a whole plane full of goods. Afterwards she joined Gonev and Pry to rescue Pry’s siblings from Crow.

Between the Era’s Lena met someone called Sebastian. He kidnapped her son and killed her grandmother and she served him for a while. After he got himself killed she was free again and organized a place for her son, Mart, to stay. After she saw Alask at a party at the Plasma Core’s headquarters she followed him to the Forge. During the invasion she and Alask blackmailed Max into summoning the Phoenix. Contrasting Alask Lena most agreed to the plan as it offered a chance to use one of her more dangerous poisons on a Knight Radiant. Afterwards they returned to the Forge and stayed there together with Eve and Mart until the battle was over.

During one of his last trainings he saw the councilmember Ark for the first time and mistook him for the man, that had killed his friend. He tried to assassinate Ark and failed. Mr. Itiah claimed Mike had acted on his order, to show the class that you couldn’t let your guard down even for a moment. This saved Mike’s life, but Ark still ordered him to go to his friend KoTiel and offer himself for an experiment. KoTiel spiked Mike several times and afterwards sent him back to Ark. Ark questioned Mike about his powers, but Mr. Itiah stepped in a second time and ordered Mike to his sleeping quarters and assigned him therapy sessions.

They failed, but managed to escape with the plans, detailing which Hideouts were compromised. Afterwards the Underlings formed a Squad called Guns n’ Ninjas and joined the fight against Plasma Core. They were part of the team wrapping the Vortex in aluminum, basically destroying it. Afterwards the squad was sent over to support Tels.

    Family: dead

    Homeworld: Alleyverse

Guild Affiliation: Ghostbloods (Rank: Althea’s assistant) TUBA

Backstory: Zokora grew up in the Alleyverse. Her parents died in the seven day war, and afterwards she ended up with the Ghostbloods. She worked as an assassin for easier targets for years, making it to an Elite, until one day she met an old man. He told her of ghosts, and that she was hunted, and while she laughed at him, the thought somehow never left her again. Sometimes she can feel the ghosts coming after her, hunting her, wanting revenge. She tried to switch to another occupation afterwards, as she figured, that if she stopped killing people the ghosts would stop. Zokora met Althea per chance in Oasis City, and somehow ended up with a new job a few months later. Most of the time she is Althea’s eyes and ears, and is everywhere, where Althea can’t be, takes over meetings, or listens to endless discussions at the government. Additionally she sorts through reports and acts as an Gatekeeper for those wanting to speak with Althea.

After spending days listening to the bickerings of the government, Zokora found herself in the middle of the fight against Plasma Core. She kept track of the troops of the Ghostbloods, after Lusk handed that task to her and did so until the end of the fight. As the situation got worse, she approached TUBA for a closer cooperation regarding the evacuation of the citizens and was invited into the tunnels. There she met Deteca and fought by her side to protect the tunnels and those sheltering there.

Zokora grew up in the north of the Alleyverse, only came to the city when her family sent her to the Ghostbloods. She was never happy there, the work and what she had to do not fitting her personality and her goals in her live. She met Althea there and, one day she left the Ghostbloods shortly after she bonded her spren. They let her go, unwillingly and only with an oath to her spren that she would keep quiet about what she saw, but as she never made it past Initiate allowed her to live. For several years she lived on her own, working in the hospital in a vain attempt to undo her deeds.

A short time ago she joined TUBA, and hopes that she finally found a place where she belongs, where she can do what feels right and work for the city and its inhabitants.

    Vivi

    Spoiler

Name: Vivacia Tenira (goes by Vivi)

    Age: 12

    Investiture: A-Copper

Skills: Average (Melee weapons), Skilled (dancing)

Physical: brown hair (shoulder length, colour like Max' hair), green eyes (like Damaya's), slim, but trained for a child her age

Weaknesses: takes many things too lightly and rarely considers the consequences of her actions, skips classes whenever possible

Character: happy and joyful, she knows that life can be dangerous (sometimes), but she tends to ignore that and just does whatever she wants to, very proud, all-or-nothing person

Equipment: a rapier (her size), always carries a backpack (contains: her favorite stuffed animal (a white and pink unicorn, small, called: Rainbowglow), jelly beans, the rapier, a device so that her parents can contact her, paper and a pencil for school, an (sometimes empty) lunchbox, a flashlight without power, dancing shoes)

    Guild affiliation: none

    Homeplanet: Alleyverse

Backstory: Vivacia is Max and Althea's daughter, their younger child. She grew up in their house close to Alleycity and when she's not skipping class she attends one of the schools nearby. She greatly adores her older brother and would do anything for him. If possible she follows him around, although she regularly runs off once she gets bored. She feels very guilty by having inherited an allomantic power while he has nothing and therefore never mentions it when he is around. She reduces using her power to situations, when he can't notice, but tries secretly to protect him if possible.
She is intrigued by the thought to join a guild just like her parents and in general strives to make them and her brother proud. As she is the one with Investiture, she decided that she needs to step into her parent's paths and asked Max to show her how to wield a weapon. He picked a rapier and so she started to learn how to use it.
Vivi's real passion is dancing and she pours all her energy into these classes. They are one of the few appointments she's always on time for, and she trains hard all the days in between.

Standard: A dueling cane and revolver.

Weakness: Rigex is convinced that his youth as a scholar and his life as a fixer give him a combination of skills better than just about anyone; he focuses on the flaws of others while only seeing his own strengths, leading him to underestimate just about everyone. He is incapable of acknowledging when he made a mistake and is a terrible judge of character, so he’s easy to play.

Family: Rigex has an uncle back in elendel who he is close with, and a younger sister who he hasn’t seen in years.

    Home Planet: Scadrial

Backstory: Rigex grew up in a minor branch of House Lekal, studying maths and sciences through his childhood at the insistence of his father. At age 13 he was beat up by a few boys on account of his fathers behavior, and snapped to become a coinshot. After that, he took up dueling with an uncle while continuing under his father’s tutelage. After the passing of his father at age 21, he moved to Elendel and began working directly under house Lekal to take care of any issues they needed to go away quietly. After failing to quiet a witness to one of the houses shadier transactions, he was tossed out and made his way to alley city one.

    Personality: Motivated and Pragmatic

    Fiona

    • Expert melee weapons combatant

    Equipment: Knives

Physical characteristics: A tall, imposing woman in her early thirties, Fiona has long, bright red hair died with orange accents. She has a stern brow, hazel eyes and a distinctly predatory gaze. Prefers non-restrictive clothing such as trousers or shorts and has an athletic build.

    Home planet: Alleycity

Backstory: Fiona, or 'Fi' to her friends, was born and raised in the city but makes frequent trips to the surrounding areas. During her teenage years the city was attacked by chaotic monsters during the seven day war. Fi picked up a fallen soldiers weapon and tried to defend her younger siblings and parents but was knocked unconscious during the fight and left for dead. The rest of her family attempted to flee when they saw her fall but were killed during the chaos. After awakening, Fi felt the loss of her loved ones dearly and began to bond with a nearby Ashspren, eventually becoming a Radiant of the Order of the Dustbringers. This new power led her to swear that she will never lose what she loves again.

Always burning with energy she is a frequent traveller and explorer. Her intensity has often made others a little uncomfortable as she is incredibly direct about what she wants and will do anything to achieve it. Her goals have varied, as soon as she achieves one she only takes a brief respite before deciding on something new to pursue but have included seeing certain places, an intense desire to own valuable objects or a fascination with interesting people. Her fascination with people varies in its exact nature, from romantic interest to rivalry or homicidal intent.

Weakness: Passion, Fi will never let go of something once she has decided she wants it, pursuing her current goal with complete single-mindedness and to the point of self destruction. She is also a very proud individual and highly susceptible to flattery, consequently she is easily manipulated.

Family: Deceased (Fiona was the only survivor of her family during the seven day war)

    Guild: Unaffiliated

Personality: Proud and ever passionate, Fi pursues her goals with an intense energy and a single mind. She is willing to do almost anything to acquire what she desires and to hold onto it and will fiercely defend what she sees as hers from anyone who seeks to harm them.

Fighting Style: Fi favours the use of knives over other weapons, enjoying getting up close and personal. She is heavily reliant on the healing abilities of Stormlight to ignore any harm she receives and fixates on a single enemy at a time. She is possessive of her foes and will grow incredibly irritated should they be defeated by anyone other than her.

    Laurelai

    Spoiler

    Name: Laurelai Esserethel

    Abilities:

    • Forgery - A master-level Forger, proficient in Resealing and has a set of Soul Stamps which she keeps hidden. Particularly proficient in unusual applications of Forgery and creating short-term stamps for use on living subjects to help her fathers research.
    • Expert Scholar
    • Mastermind Intelligence

Equipment: Pen, paper, Forgery equipment (Carving kinves/picks, Soulstone, etc.)

Physical characteristics: Tall but skinny, long, straight blonde hair, bright blue eyes. Has a large wardrobe and enjoys changing clothes fairly frequently though she is particularly fond of Alethi and Selish dresses.

Home planet: Alleycity, with some Selish heritage

Backstory: Laurelai has grown up with primarily her father as her mother passed away during her birth, but she's led a happy and comfortable life. She enjoyed helping with her fathers research and learning from him as she grew up. She also enjoyed painting his nails and practicing makeup on him but this has been less frequent as she grew up. Since moving out of home, Laurelai has struggled to find her place in the world. She works in a specialised mental health clinic in the city that uses a combination of Soothers and Forgers to help residents overcome mental trauma and often spends some time in various bars around the city listening in on surrounding conversations, occasionally tailing people out and watching them for some time. She's particularly interested in the urban legends about a secretive group of researchers who live somewhere in the city.

Weakness: Curiosity, Laurelai will often ignore her own safety in the pursuit of the subject of her curious whims. She is lacking in any form of combat experience, though is mentally secure and familiar with gore so can at least avoid being too shocked if such an occurrence were to happen.

    Family: Professor Esserethel (Father)

Guild (can be unaffiliated): Currently unaffiliated

Personality: Intensely curious and a touch arrogant, Laurelai loves to watch people and try to understand them better. This can come across as empathetic but can be offputting when people realise that her interest is much colder and more analytical.

    Fighting Style: To not.

    Whisper

    Spoiler

    Name: Whisper

    Abilities: Hemalurgic spikes granting:

Lightweaving (And the ability to use Stormlight to do so, however no Stormlight healing or strength boosts etc.)

Enhanced dexterity and leg strength (A bit stronger than what pewter would grant, but no increased durability beyond the ability to withstand her own strength)
Skills: Expert intelligence: Incredibly intelligent, though with little exposure to any specific scholarly research. (60 points), Hand-to-hand Combat training (50 points)

Weaknesses: Unable to speak: Unable to speak louder than a very faint whisper.

Hemalurgy: Has three spikes, likely enough to be manipulated by a Lerasium Mistborn or multiple Soothers/Rioters working in sync.

Physical characteristics: Whisper changes her appearance frequently, rarely looking the same way for long. But usually appears to be a young urchin girl, varying her features slightly every now and then.

    Home planet: Scadrial

Guild: DA / Church of the Whiterose

Backstory: A former DA test subject, Whisper spent a lot of her early years in the labs from the department of Zoohemalurgy. She has several abilities derived from animals from various planets, this has also resulted in some changes to her anatomy as well, though these are usually hidden with careful disguises or Lightweaving, these experiments also inadvertently removed her ability to speak beyond a faint whisper which eventually led to her nickname.
After the conclusion of the experiment that created her, Whisper was deemed one of the more successful subjects and had managed to maintain her sanity throughout the process, she was then recruited by another department of the DA and began actively working for them, putting her intelligence and abilities to good use.
Over the past few years Whisper has been found whispering to shadows or seeming to react to voices that others cannot hear. During the same period she has become obsessed with the ancient figures of the DA such as the Lonely God and the Stranger. She expresses an utterly fanatical attitude towards them and has on numerous times been found researching some method by which to bring these ancient gods back.

    Family: None

    Guild (can be unaffiliated): DA

Personality: Outwardly Whisper usually appears to be a sweet, caring girl who is interested in helping others. Inwardly she expresses signs of extreme sociopathy and has very little regard for the feelings of others, treating them only as a means to an ends or a possible source of defense. She constantly examines those around her and while she is remarkably insightful in some ways she can be somewhat oblivious in others, struggling to comprehend some peoples motives where they revolve around altruistic acts. Whisper does not take any particular joy in being cruel but neither does she enjoy being kind, instead simply employing whatever means she need to to accomplish her goals.

Fighting Style: Get other people to do the fighting for her, or to only ever fight from a position of absolute advantage, preferably ending the fight before it starts.

    The Professor

    Spoiler

Name: The Professor / Nox / Professor Esserethel

    Investiture: None

Appearance:  Tall, clean shaven and with remarkably few wrinkles given his age other than some crows feet at the corners of his eyes. Blonde-haired and pale-skinned like his daughter Laurelai, though his eyes are green while hers are blue. Most often wearing a labcoat over a plain shirt and some jeans. Occasionally his daughter will manage to convince him to wear something slightly nicer,

Skills: Intelligence (Mastermind), Scholar (Expert), Handiwork - Various magical / technical items (Expert)
    Equipment: Various items of study

Backstory: One of the most renowned researchers in the city, the Professor has made breakthroughs on any number of different subjects of research. Various inventions have allowed both he and his daughter to live well off but he does have some issue in finding funding sometimes as he rarely stays on one subject too long, often flitting from Realmatic theory to Artifabrian research to mechanical engineering and physics. He is generally regarded as something of a brilliant eccentric to most other researchers, able to make startling breakthroughs but also wasting his talent by not committing it to any one subject long enough to make a substantial impact. He raised his daughter Laurelai alone, as her mother died during child birth and treats her with just as much love and excitement as he does his research.

    Guild: None

Weaknesses: Vast, unending and unabating hatred of pineapples. Tends to take a 'wait and see' approach most of the time and avoid getting involved for as long as possible.

    Family: Laurelai Esserethel

Personality: Excited and energetic, the Professor pursues his work with ardent passion, often forgetting to eat or sleep. He has some somber moments, especially when recalling his departed wife, but on the whole maintains a passionate outlook on life and is always looking for something new.

Fighting Style: Can we not please? It hardly seems necessary.

    @ZincAboutIt Lita/ Vivica/ Corette

    Spoiler

    Lita

    Spoiler

Name: Lita Attar (ERA 5 EDITION)

Physical Characteristics: Female, 25, average height (~64 inches), slender build. Long auburn hair. Lightish skin, olive tones. Hazel green eyes, large, widely spaced. Rounded face with pointed chin.

Investiture: Hereditary Twinborn: A-Tin, F-Brass; Spike granting Copper Feruchemy

Skills: Skilled at covert surveillance and spycraft. She is Smart, above-average.

Equipment: Metal vials, brass arm-bands (2) worn constantly and three brass ear cuffs (not pierced), 2 on right ear, 1 on left. Glasses.

Weakness: Has very poor eyesight when not burning tin and she requires glasses. She taps brass when burning tin to avoid feeling cold, which means she is unaccustomed to temperature sensitivity while burning tin. Has zero combat skills, is quite small. Lita has a severe prejudice against Terris people, despite being half Terris herself.

Family: Mother not in picture, father lives in Elendel, no siblings she knows of, no children or spouse

    Home Planet: Scadrial

Backstory: Lita was born illegitimately to Conrad Attarre and her unknown mother in one of Elendel’s poorer Octants. Her mother, ashamed that she had conceived with someone who wasn’t Terris, refused to acknowledge her daughter and cut the both of them off. Conrad operated a Soothing parlour, and when Lita was revealed to be a Twinborn, her father enlisted her to work alongside him, keeping tin-enhanced eyes and ears on the patrons without them knowing. After she caught one of her father’s patrons, named Forian Tekiel, conducting illicit business in the Soothing parlour, she decided to offer her services as a Tineye to him and joined his smuggling ring. This worked for some years, but Forian eventually decided to try to frame Lita’s father for the illicit business he himself was conducting.

Lita poisoned Forian and fled Elendel, heading south until she met a group of worldhoppers. They offered to pay her to fill several heat Excisors, and invited her to join them if she wanted to. When the group passed through the Alleyverse she decided to stay. She changed her name from Attarre to Attar, hoping she could blend into the sea of faces and peoples in Alleycity and start over. Prior to joining the Dark Alley, she took odd spying jobs, filled heat Excisors, and mixed the occasional poison.

During a trip to the Odd Job Tavern in search of work, Lita met Laurelai and was later recruited into the Dark Alley. She worked diligently under the tutelage of Mac through the events of Era 3, impressing him with her skill, ambition, and quick mind. He gave her a spike granting her Copper Feruchemy as a reward after the Plasmacore incident, and continued to use her as a high-level covert operative in the future. When he realized that it was his time to leave the Alleyverse, he set things in motion to have her succeed him in his position.

Now at the height of her personal career and having achieved the level of power and ability she always wanted, Lita finds herself content… most of the time. She is plagued, however, by a lingering sort of ennui, a feeling of unease and dissatisfaction with her life. ‘Why,’ she asks herself, ‘when I have finally grasped this level of freedom, power and responsibility, do I feel trapped, played, and suspicious?’ As she turns 25, she attempts to understand the source of this unease, accompanied by odd dreams that she can never wholly remember. Dreams that feel very much like memories full of things that cannot, and should not, exist.

    Guild: Dark Alley

Personality: Extroverted, charming, cunning, and perceptive. Lita loves secrets, and will do what she can to ferret out any hidden knowledge she thinks will give her some power or edge. She does not trust easily, but she does enjoy company, so she simply does not reveal much about herself. After a childhood of relative scarcity, Lita loves the finer things in life. Lita is somewhat self-absorbed, but cares deeply about her inner circle - the few it contains, anyway. The introduction of Copper Feruchemy into her life has made her even more keenly observant, as well as less impulsive and more introspective.

    Vivica

    Spoiler

    Name: Vivica Roth

Physical Characteristics: Female, 28, long light brown hair, blue eyes, pleasant-looking face, slender and short. Her left ear is missing and there is a long thin burn scar running down the left side of her neck

    Investiture: Hereditary Bronze compounder

Skills: Intelligent, never needs to sleep

Equipment: Bronze metalminds and bronze vials

Weakness: Incapable of sleep, mental stability is fractured, will occasionally hallucinate or break down, terrified of large spaces, hearing in left ear is at half-capacity, she can hear loud sounds and notice when someone is speaking but needs to turn to hear them clearly in her left ear. Afraid of fire.

    Family: Quite dead

    Home Planet: Alleyplanet

Backstory: Vivica was born in the Alleycity and her family died in a house fire. Her house caught fire and killed her family while she was asleep in bed, she almost died too but was woken when the roof fell in on her, burning her ear and the left side of her neck. She lost the ear and part of her hearing, but fled the house in time to survive. Vivica spent the next few years in and out of orphanages and homes, always hating having to sleep and being plagued by terrible dreams. She decided that she’d simply stop sleeping, to avoid the dreams. Years of compounding bronze have erased her ability to sleep, she has lost the ability to do so even if she wanted to. This endless wakefulness has driven her completely insane. Viv has been a patient in a mental facility for the last several years, but she doesn’t mind much. She knows she needs the help. She will regularly hallucinate, so regularly that she has made a list of her recurring hallucinations and their expected patterns of behavior. Her most regular illusory companion is a glowing violet octopus named Bennington. Sometimes, she’ll hallucinate a completely alternate version of her life, which she finds intriguing. Less regularly, she will break down. This is generally triggered by stress, large spaces, or bad memories.

    Guild: none

Personality: Viv is pleasant and perceptive with an alert awareness of her surroundings. She is introverted but genuinely enjoys the company of people she trusts. When she feels comfortable, Viv will talk about the things that interest her. However, she is also crazy. She will often begin speaking to one of her hallucinations, which some people find off-putting. Vivica greatly enjoys illustrating her thoughts, memories, or delusions. Sometimes these illustrations are adorable, and sometimes, they are very much not-adorable-at-all.

    Corette

    Spoiler

    Name: Corette

Physical Characteristics: Female, mid-20s, tan skin, blue eyes, shoulder-length brown hair. Eyes have slight upturn due to ¼ Alethi heritage. Somewhat forgettable face, no true striking characteristics. Slightly short, lean.

Investiture: Twinborn A-Bronze, F-Cadmium, standard DA loyalty spike placed in discreet location

Skills: Tracking/stealth (expert), survival skills, basic defence, free-diving (intermediate)

Equipment: Bronze metal vials, Cadmium bracers (2 on upper arms, 1 torque-style around neck), oxygen tank (not always kept on person, but usually nearby in her typical locations)

Weakness: Prone to weakness, lightheadedness and shortness of breath while storing in Cadmium bracers, which she does often during periods of low activity. Unskilled in combat.

    Family: Presumed dead/unknown

    Home Planet: Alleyplanet

Backstory: Corette grew up in an orphanage with little to no memory of her parents. Another girl there claimed to have known her family, though the two did not become close. Corette worked as a cutpurse in her early teens until an average sweep went wrong. She was dragged into an alley by a mark, who attempted to strangle her. Corette tapped breath while feigning strangulation, then, when the man dropped her, she snatched his knife and drove it into his neck before systematically robbing him. A passing Denizen noticed this, and took an interest in her, passing her through the proper channels. She began working as a Counterintelligence/Acquisitions field agent, sometimes aiding Denizens in seeking out new test subject victims via Seeking, other times just keeping an eye on things. Will sometimes work as an implanted agent in organizations to help the DA keep tabs on potential threats. Due to her ability to store breath, Corette is often called upon to undertake missions or tasks that require underwater exploration.

    Guild: DA, Counterintelligence/Acquisitions Dept.

Personality: Quiet, observant, can be charming if needed, little regard for human life though does not take a particular joy in killing either. Practical, methodical, somewhat dark sense of humor. Greatly enjoys exploration and discovery.
