  1. Brandon finished the first draft of the last book a month or so ago and it will likely be out next spring-ish. Tor is putting out re-releases of the first four with new art and stuff and the fifth will likely be coinciding with that.
  2. Except that isn't how the Cognitve Realm works, it isn't a separate plane of existence, it is a different way of viewing existence. Distance in the CR is determined by how much stuff is "thinking" (it doesn't have to be sentient thinking either, a rock "thinks" in its own way as well) in that area. This is why it is so easy to worldhop in the Cognitive Realm the distances between planets that are massive in the Physical shrink to virtual non-existence because there is nothing there to think, it is an empty void. But things that are next to each other in the Physical are still next to each other in the Cognitive, nothing is appearing between them. Like wise if there is *something* between to places, that something will be between those places no matter what the Realm. Distance might change but relative location doesn't.
  3. Brandon actually made a mistake there, The Silence Divine does *not* take place on Threnody, Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell does. tSD takes place on Ashyn which does not currently have a Shard.
  4. I think it just needs to be updated. The novella is the whole story.
  5. I don't get this one. Explain, please? 'tis a pun. Mjolnir is the hammer wielded by the Norse god Thor. An inanimate object awakened to sentience is a Type Four BioChromatic Entity. Thor/Four rhyme.
  6. It is WoB that the Skybreakers would not approve of Adolin killing Sadeas, because he technically broke the law (which is kind of their thing). Neither Windrunners nor Skybreakers will take him now, though Dustbringers and Willshapers would.
  7. Technically there are more than three planets in the Greater Roshar system, however there are only three significant planets (which would be Ashyn, Braize, and Roshar). (source)
  8. We do not have a WoB saying that, at least none that I have seen. There might be a question *asking* about that but I'm pretty sure it was RAFO'd.
  9. Hmmm... Well I'm thinking that the Tear might be one of the other planets in the Greater Roshar system, since it is described as being brighter than the other "stars", so maybe it's Ashyn. And to echo myself from earlier in this thread maybe Reya is the person who held the Shard that used to be on Ashyn?
  10. Probably, you have to hover over it with a cursor to get the list to pop-up, clicking doesn't do anything so it makes sense that it wouldn't work on a touch screen?
  11. There's a link in the drop down thing to the left of the search bar
  12. It's taken care of.
  13. From the annotations: There doesn't have to be a point, cameos are cameos there usually isn't some hidden meaning there.
  14. Meaning Slowswift is meant to be J.R.R. Tolkien, the father of modern fantasy
  15. Yeah that's wrong, it should probably be circa 984FE, since he died at age 38 in 1022FE.
  16. Its a nickname, specifically the nickname used by his childhood friend Adrotagia. People have likely been using it because it is shorter/easier to spell than Taravangian.
  17. I actually don't think the Dragon is a shardholder, I think he is involved somehow with the Seventeenth Shard (which is the name of the worldhopping organization, to differentiate from 17th Shard, which is us) and I don't think they were formed by a shard. (And him being a Dragon is confirmed by the way)
  18. I really can't get over how exciting this is!
  19. We don't actually know *when* Hoid became a Feruchemist, and since it is related to his ability to be in "the right place at the right time" it would seem that he's had it for quite a while.
  20. You are correct: (source)
  21. It is not an Honorblade, you can tell by the fact it screams momentarily before Dalinar breaks the bond. It is not the same blade that "Taln" shows up with at the end of tWoK, that one is described as a spike, while Dalinar's is more cleaver like. Brandon talks about it here: (source) Also, I'm moving this to the WoR spoiler forum.
  22. Oh my, what is this? A recording of the Firefight reading Brandon gave at SLC ComicCon back in April? Egads, and is that a transcription? Thank you Inquistor-Santa it's a Christmas in July miracle!
  23. I've only ever seen the Lord Ruler. It's what his wiki page is called and it's what Brandon always refers to him as.
  24. The second half of the Workshop episode is posted.
