So I've started transcribing the reading. I started with the second, shorter video first (which is completed) and I'll be working on the first, longer video throughout the day.

To the left of the "Font" drop down there is the button for "Special BBC code" spoiler tags are one of the options in there.

Ah, I was mis-remembering a WoB, it seems that a few people do know:

The Ultimate List of Questions for Brandon
WeiryWriter replied to Chaos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Not really. The best we have is here. -
We don't actually KNOW what is Dalinar's curse and what is his boon. It seems like it is his curse, but it could just as easily be his boon (especially if something happened with her that is psyche-crippling, it's like a fugue state). We also really don't understand enough the Nightwatcher and her boons and curses to guess and her motivations. Yes Taravangian's boon and curse "go together" but that we have other examples where they are not related to each other (Av's father's boon was a bale of cloth, his curse was to see the world up-side down). Dalinar is the only one who knows he can't remember his wife.

Okay, I'm trying to fix this and something keeps screwing it up. The forums keep replacing http://shallandavar-.tumblr.com with www.17thshard.com even when I copy and paste the link... Let's try this one last time http://shallandavar-.tumblr.com/post/91074977651/part-1-brandon-sanderson-reading-chapter-1-of http://shallandavar-.tumblr.com/post/91074970316/part-2-brandon-sanderson-reading-chapter-1-of EDIT: recordings can now be found at http://theairsicklowlander.tumblr.com/post/91074977651/part-1-brandon-sanderson-reading-chapter-1-of http://theairsicklowlander.tumblr.com/post/91074970316/part-2-brandon-sanderson-reading-chapter-1-of

So um, guess what I just found... (Part One and Part Two) It's pretty good http://shallandavar-.tumblr.com/post/91074970316/part-2-brandon-sanderson-reading-chapter-1-of http://shallandavar-.tumblr.com/post/91074977651/part-1-brandon-sanderson-reading-chapter-1-of

Cover-up? What cover-up? There's no cover-up here. Dinosaurs are extinct (and certainly didn't speak with English accents), there aren't hidden continents in the Pacific Ocean, and Brandon's middle name is Winn. It's not like there is the secret organization of Librarians hiding the truth from people, nope nothing like that.

It actually stands for Badali Jewelery Specialties, which is the company licensed to make the stuff.

Shadows Beneath and Sixth of the Dusk Available Now
WeiryWriter commented on Chaos's article in Brandon and Book News
The physical edition is only going to be available from Brandon's store, or at the very least it won't be on Amazon (who owns Bookdepository I think?). -
As Argent said, Hoid doesn't feature in *every* cosmere story, he isn't just some cameo character, he has a reason for being where he is. And I'm still super skeptical about the Ones Above being Scadrian. The main argument I'm seeing is that "Oh they are the only ones we've been expressly told will develop FTL" which just doesn't cut it for me. Has anyone ever asked Brandon about other worlds developing FTL? Not that I've seen. I just don't think Scadrians will have a monopoly on space travel.

^This. And also keep in mind that the Shardbearer Kaladin kills is described as a red-haired Veden. I'd much rather go with the known liar lying rather than "Oh these two different Shardbearers who have similar looking blades and red hair who are probably Veden aren't the same"

Odium causing the chasm when he Splintered Devotion and Dominion is a definitive no, the timeline just doesn't work. The Reod occurred ten years before the events of Elantris, Devotion and Dominion were Splintered centuries previously. We have WoB that when Odium came to Sel there were no Seons. I personally ascribe to the idea that the Reod was a result of a build-up of Shardic energy in the Cognitive Realm, the pressure of which caused a catastrophic event in the Physical. Hmm, I wonder if the existence of Elantris, the city, had anything to do with it. We know Raoden had issues with the Dor trying to force itself through him when he was practicing with the Aons (before he "fixed" them by adding the chasm line) perhaps Elantris, which magnified the ability the ability of Aons to draw on the Dor caused something similar? More and more of the Dor wanted to get through the gateways Elantrians made with he help of Elantris until something broke. Which is why the Reod happened in Arelon and not somewhere else.

Ooh! I can't wait, but we probably shouldn't expect anything until Monday-ish (at the soonest). I know a few of the admins/staff are at Westercon/Fantasycon, hopefully they learn some cool things!

David Charleston?

Well, you're half right. Lukel is who I'm looking for, he's the only one of his siblings (in fact the only person of Aonic decent in the book) who doesn't have a name based on an Aon. (Adien is based off Aon Ien)

[Cosmere spoilers]Shallan's ultimate fate
WeiryWriter replied to yahas's topic in Stormlight Archive
It was during the WoR tour: (source) Also two comments, White Sand really is not supposed to be discussed here on the forums and White Sand has Khriss at the very start of her arc, she's had plenty of time to grow and change. -
Nope. I will say this, someone is frustratingly close, they just didn't go quite far enough/say what needed to be said... Edit: Ym is a no as well.
-
It is a male person.
-
Nope to all of these Brandon is pretty good at coming up with naming conventions, perhaps you should look for names that break them?
-
No, and his name is sort of important in figuring it out, so generalities really won't help you.
-
Adopted son, name unlike his siblings.

Voidbringers? (partial spoiler for Words of Radiance)
WeiryWriter replied to Wyndle's topic in Elantris and Emperor's Soul
Unfortunately this WoB seems to point against that: (source)
