  1. Where are you getting the Stormfather existing pre-humanity from?
  2. Ah yeah, I forgot about this! I think there was a thread discussing it back when the item was first added but thanks for bringing this back. @Quiver, I'm not sure that Reislek is a reference to Rashek, since it is Kelsier spelled backwards.
  3. The connection to Leras' situation is something that hasn't been touched on yet in that thread, but it is something that I've been meaning to do.
  4. Not anymore! "The Eleventh Metal" was the first thing unlocked during the Shardhunt for Words of Radiance, it can be found on Brandon's site here.
  5. Directly? No. I'm infering it from two things: the fact that it is mentioned in Chapter 48 of Words of Radiance that aluminum "can only be made by Soulcasting" (It's when Shallan is trying to pay off her brothers debts) and that prior to more modern processes it was *exceedingly* difficult to obtain/extract aluminum (to the point where Napoleon owned a set of aluminum plates that were worth more than his gold ones).
  6. I also remember something where Brandon said that we have seen other people (apart from Jasnah and Shallan) who have enterred the Cognitive Realm. The only thing I can think of that really fits is the Elantrian "dissolving" in the Lake. Because of that I've long been of the opinion that shardpools can act as points of realmatic transition (i.e. moving from one realm to another) and the Hoid/Horneater Peaks story really sealed the deal for me. I do think "Shardpools are used for worldhopping" (which I've seen a lot) is an over simplification though. Yes technically they would facilitate worldhopping but I think that is more of a consequence of their characteristics than a design feature? (For example I could use the hardcover of WoR to kill someone, does that make it a weapon? Technically yes, but that doesn't mean that is what the book was "designed" to do).
  7. Yes, the only reason Rosharans have access to aluminum, despite their tech/infrastructure level is because of soulcasting. So technically Soulcasting is not the *only* way to get aluminum, it is just the only way they have access to at the time.
  8. Although there are many numerous side characters that I love, I'm going to go with Sebarial on this. Cranky old snarkmaster who is a mercantile genius trying to build an economy? Sebarial's the best...
  9. 13 more codes have to be entered for it to be unlocked. The thing is though, there are no more codes to be given out. So we are kind of being held back by those who received/found codes but did not enter them. I just tweeted at Peter though, I'll share his response once I get it (if he doesn't see this thread first and respond here).
  10. There is this WoB: (source)
  11. I *really* wouldn't use that as proof of anything, there is a reason the 200 years figure is not on the actual Chronology page.
  12. Vin's first ball?
  13. Yep it is Lady Kliss, whose name is like the assassin Liss who gives the impression of being a vapid Noblewoman but is secretly an informant.
  14. None of you are correct, but some of you are *so* close! (and read my clue, Stormlight alone will not give you the answer, i.e. the answer I'm looking for is not in Stormlight)
  15. Well since "Mental" is one of the Allomantic quadrants I really wouldn't do that. In-context it really wouldn't make sense, since lerasium-alloys grant Physical and Enhancement abilities. Why would three of the quadrants get a mention but not the fourth? (Also notice that Mental is capitalized, which would indicate it is referring to the formal category)
  16. While Stormlight will be vital in your quest, it alone will not give you the answer you seek...
  17. So far no one has gotten it. Lightsworn, are you trying to answer mine or give your own clue? If the first you don't have to take turns, if the latter, you only give a clue if you guess the previous person's correctly.
  18. Hmm I wonder what would happen if all the King/Queen's siblings and children are dead, and the crown had to pass to one of their niblings (yes that's a word, it is to niece/nephew what sibling is to brother/sister, isn't language fun?) who would *not* have been born with the Royal Locks? Would they manifest it? Would their (future?) children? Edit: Oh wow ninja'd...
  19. Oh No! I slayed you? This simply won't do, where did I put those bells?...
  20. None of those (and that would be telling, wouldn't it? Mwahaha)
  21. woman whose name is like an assassin, has hidden depths
  22. The axehound pups Lin kills
  23. They're actually married now.
  24. There's this: (source)
