Hey, Striker, can I vote on three people at once, if so, Illwei+Pyro+Archer(but only kinda Archer)

I’m going to ignore this. :P

Aw man, that would’ve been such a fun thing to put in the game. People could’ve got items that way! That would’ve been fun.

DaaNex sat on the large bed in his room, pondering his situation. Here he was, already impersonating a native on this world, and now he was told he needed to disguise himself again because of this Yiga threat. All these layers of deception were confusing. He was also fairly certain that there were multiple other Kandra in the castle. An entirely different conspiracy, completely underneath the Yiga vs Hyrule one.
What is even going on here…

Hello, I’m here now.
I like the “Zelda claims to beedle by getting a frog” plan. Kinda sad I didn’t get to come up with it.
Also, I think Illwei is full of crem. Not sure of their alignment, but they definitely ain’t Zelda.
And that’s all my thoughts for now.

I personally think that alignments shouldn't be fudged outside of activity and skill level. So Mat wouldn't go on a team with hyperactive players, and Kas wouldn't go on a team of inactive players, but they could both still be elims, so long as the activity is balanced.

I need that why are you booing, I'm right meme for this. But fair enough. One could easily argue Striker would try to maintain Mat's elim streak just for funsies, or that elim is easier than villager so Kas might be evil. Village points to everyone who rebuttaled my metaing, I think that's a villagey reaction. An elim would probably be more inclined to poke logical holes in the statement than to flatly refuse to consider it

Did everyone miss the hidden message in that second wallpost where the all capitalized words laid out their plaaa- just kidding. Illwei hasn't adequately explained why they aren't afraid of the elim super kill, so I'd tend to agree with that.

Have a little roleplay:

Finally, Gavrill had gotten his wife away for long enough for him to get a little firemoss. He grabbed the bowl and began rubbing, at first, he felt a euphoric sense that came with firemoss then he became dizzy then he jolted when he found himself within a castle surrounded by odd red creatures. "Voidbringers!" He yelled. In an instant, they looked like normal people doing their business. He started shaking, but got up and walked away as people stared at his back.

Gavrill walked into the courtyard of the castle. Sitting nearby was an odd man with a huge backpack. He seemed to be selling whatever was in his backpack. Eventually, Gavrill heard someone call him by his name, Beedle. Now that Gavrill knew the man's name, he could go introduce himself and, perhaps, bargain.

When he got about halfway there, he heard whispers from buyers and non-buyers alike. Apparently, those Voidbringer things he had seen were called Yiga here, and the shopkeeper might be one of them. Gavrill frowned, one of the Voidbringers, no, Yiga, might have looked like the man called Beedle, no, that was someone else wasn't it? Gavrill couldn't remember, so, still uncertain, he listened to more talk. One person, someone who obviously didn't think Beedle was a Yiga, suggested that a girl named Zelda, who Gavrill couldn't learn anything more about, and someone who was apparently her champion, named Link. It seemed Link had possession of a shardblade from the snippets of surrounding conversations. Gavrill had quite an interest in shardblades and shardplates. That was why he was a shardplate polisher for one of the highprinces.

"Hearty Durians, Hearty Durians, come one come all for the fruit that allows you to survive an attack from the monstrous Yiga," came the voice of the shopkeeper. Fruits that made it so you could survive the attack of a shapeshifting Voidbringer, why would a Yiga sell something so obviously bad for the Yiga? The answer was simple, they wouldn't. Confident in his decision, Gavrill walked forward to purchase a Hearty Durian fruit.

And yes, the roleplay got it right, I will be attempting to purchase a Hearty Durian today. I'm following through and telling you what I'm buying in the hopes that only one other person will be joining me. In other news, I'm enjoying writing this character way more than I expected. It's also pretty fun to go back and narrate the discussion that was going on.

It makes it much harder for the elims if they don’t know who has protection, so claiming what item you’re trying to get (especially whether or not you get said item, claimed during the Night) isn’t too great of an idea in general. Really don’t claim if you get it or not.

Who said I would?  I, myself, am claiming almost everything I do, but if to many people do it, it falls apart. Also, you get the item at the end of the next day, so by then, I'll be claiming what item I'm getting next. If I have protection, which I hope I end up getting, then I have a little peace of mind for my game plan that I'm going to do.

I am alive! I don't have too much to say right now, but I would like to voice my opinion on the Tireless Frog plan. I think it is very much not a good idea. First of all, if the real Zelda is not on board with the plan, and an elim sends in a Tireless Frog claim, Beedle will infer that the elim is Zelda. Plus, if Striker is being a trolly GM and Beedle is actually elim, this will severely weaken us, and the elims will have made one huge step towards winning the game. I'll poke hyliara @hyliara for now - while Archer's plan is not good, I think elim!Archer would be a bit more subtle than that.

RP to come; I have to go to a place.

I was assuming you were trying to waste the elim super kill and was hoping you'd come up with some good additional logic to fake the elims into doing it. Trying out something from the wiki makes sense too.

What conclusions have you drawn from people's reactions to the attempt?

I don't think you ever explained why you're doing this. Are you afraid of being exed? And hope to be transparent enough to overcome the group's potential suspicion? You do get exed a lot for not giving enough information. But I think you risk giving away too much of the wrong kind of information, valuable information to the elims, and look bad for not being worried about that

I don't think it makes sense to have items be a significant part of the game and have an evil Beedle, who will only send items to his teammates.

If you don't like the plan, kindly either don't request a Frog tonight or state that you intend to in-thread to avoid confusion. Zelda can weigh the merits of participating. They will either make the request or not. Meanwhile, the elims have to decide whether or not to make a request. If they do and Zelda does too, Beedle knows one of their ilk. If Zelda doesn't, they will benefit... but how risky do you think they are?

Hey, purplewhiteandgold you've been lurking all day. What do you think of the Frog Plan?

I think that Beedle can not be an Elim. Sure you could try and fit that all together, but in the end that means that Beedle could approve all of the Elim requests and deny all the village. or most of the village. Or at least know what each person has, which means that it makes the Elim's job much easier.

I was reading a lot of the discussion and noticed people were targeted on Beedle, I was conflicted about that idea but you make a very good point! If Beedle were an elim he'd easily have control over the flow and distribution of goods, and that would be a dead-giveaway if he were a goodie or baddie. However, he could also still be an elim and play it smart. I wouldn't say he's 100% in the clear, but he also isn't 100% an elim.

RULES INFO:

If you're redirected by a Knight, you are informed! This means scans are always accurate (afaict).

Also, it's possible that it's possible for there to be more than one of roles that only really make sense for there to be one of! So we could have 10 Miphas!

Man you guys really don't mess around the thread's already at three pages and naturally it will soon be more than three if I have anything to say about it

Anyways it wouldn't be a proper first post of the game without a baseless vote so Azmine_King @Azmine_king RNG chooses you and who am I to disobey it? Do you have any thoughts about the roles/items in the game? What is your favorite color and style of hat? :D

...and all of these unfamiliar players are confusing my vote tally bot quite profoundly :P It's a really good problem to have, though :)

Omg i love you already for using "goodie" and "baddie"

But also i think beedle is 100% in the clear. Yes zelda is a cop, but i also dont think that can catch beedle even if beedle was an elim, because you cant force a player to give or reject items how you want them to.

Biggest comparison i can make is in the AG i gave and denied people PMs. There was often no rhyme or reason for why i denied or granted PMs, and there might be no rhyme or reason to why beedle grants items sometimes.

Zelda/Link, DON'T CLAIM. Link especially, ever. Zelda... there's a whole lot of ways you could think about this. I'm just going to give the simple advice of really, really think about if you want to claim, the only reason you ever should is if you scan an elim, but think- if there is a reasonable chance that elim could get exed in the future, imo it's not worth a claim but that's for you to judge and I don't want to suggest not claiming if you scan an elim because that doesn't make much sense :P. Just... think about it real hard if you want to. But Link never should, ever.

I'm secretly Link.

Have a little roleplay:

Hello! I hope you don't mind but I noticed others responding to other RPGing so I decided to follow suit just to get an RPG introduction in. Also so excited to play this game! Thank you GM's and IM! <3 I'm hyped to meet all the players too!!!

The day started as any other, peaceful. The sounds of Hyrule would wake her up in the early morning as people would begin their business, children running around and playing before school, ladies gossiping at the fountain, and hard-at-work merchants setting up shop. Or, that's what Sagessa would normally say, but she'd be a liar.

Sagessa had been hard at work preparing a dish of Vegetable Curry for lunch when she had noticed a key ingredient missing, a Swift Carrot. Not wanting to ruin her lunch, she grabbed her rupees and rushed to the market.

She didn't expect to be greeted by panicked whispers and restless feet. Apparently, the Yiga were at it again. Deadly, smart, and ambitious (especially when it came to the Mighty Banana), you didn't want to be caught at the end of their blades. However, as she made her way towards the familiar Beedle-shaped backpack of a man in an odd (he would say fashionable... to each their own) bowl-cut hair and nasally voice, the rumors of the shopkeeper being one of them made her pause. Beedle? A Yiga traitor? It was the most ridiculous thing she had ever heard. There was a serious threat going around, though, and it wasn't uncommon to see that paranoia strike so deep as to assume a simple shopkeeper was one of those threats. She headed towards the shop and stood behind another consumer, hoping he wouldn't decide to add a carrot to the purchase, seeing as the other shops seemed tight on stock lately.

Dipping my toes into the RPG don't mind me and my awkward-ness lmao. I guess I tried to play off of Gavril bc I don't know where else to hop in, hope you don't mind ^^ I'll probably be discussing the game a lot but gosh darn I'll be doing my best to RP too!

To clear the RPG up I'll be attempting a request to purchase 1 Swift Carrot from our boi Beedle. Carrots are good for your eyes.ヽ(o⌣oヾ)

This clears it up a lot, actually! Thank you!!! I guess as my first ever game I'm just like "Yes yes, I agree 100% on everything." xD Need to break that habit! Definitely getting into the mindset more as the discussions continue.

A quick note about SE theory and how I will play this game. Note that the arguments and facts presented here are indisputable, and that I will not engage in arguments about them, because those arguments are you wasting everyone else's time about meta that is well and comprehensively established. Go make reads so we can read you.

I've reflected on my role and realized that there is a GTO play for me in this game, and therefore I am compelled to pursue it. I am going to brute force my clearness immediately upon the opening of the thread.

I am hard-claiming, and I will never be rescinding. I am Zelda. When it becomes prudent I will provide my Results.

Benefits:

1. I will survive tonight: I do not believe the Elims are able to kill me tonight, because it is so objectively unlikely that I would ever do this as Zelda. I believe that this decision reduces the importance of the seer cover to be provided by all of you to the point of it being negligible. The Elims have already been outplayed, as it were.

2. I'm lock clear: All of you already know I'm lock clear, because it is so objectively unlikely that I would do this as an Elim. You know this for at least two reasons. First, this is the easiest, lowest-stress, lowest-demand game to be an Elim in that I've ever played in. I have no need to complicate my life, as an Elim, by open-claiming on thread open, when all I have to do is provide like a C-level Elim game to probably win. This is the rare instance where you literally know that I have a billion other options as an Elim, AND that I would pursue probably ALL of them before pursuing this. Second, I engage in FPS (Fancy Play Syndrome) exceedingly rarely, which necessarily means that I *know* that this will look WEIRD and SHOCKING to you. There is no merit to an Elim play that instantly generates WEIRD and SHOCKED responses that I would be obligated to finesse and manage for the remainder of the game. As a villager, which I am, the burden is totally on you to not mess up and kill me. Makes my life super awesome.

3. There are only 25 players you need to try to read, rather than 26: I have already provided a "free" peek of me in a game with 26 players. Our win equity is dramatically improved by my being entirely off the table for the entire game.

Conclusion:

The burden of sound reasoning is now entirely upon you. I am Zelda, and thus a villager, and thus lock clear. The game is immediately simpler than it would otherwise have been, because of my decision. Now, let us enjoy that benefit and win the game.

So can I claim Zelda and provide all the same benefits?

Restating that I think it’s a bad idea to say in thread what we’re requesting :P. Welcome to the game, though! :)

Edit: I’m ignoring every Zelda/Link claim besides Illwei’s because Illwei’s is the only one that has actual basis besides claiming for funsies. At least I presume she has a reason for claiming :P. Anyway it’s the only one I consider even remotely likely to be a serious claim. Leaning to not though.

-------------------------------------------------

Reva skittered down the corridors, hordelings spread thruought the building. Something was wrong here, and it was Reva's job to find out what. It was also Reva's job to find out how so many Cosmere entities got here.

There was another Sleepless here too. Reva wasn't sure why he was here, but was pretty sure she knew how he'd gotten here.

Wait. Matrim's not Philico?
