I don’t think I can run the MR ruleset I have prepped because it’s too complex, which is lame because right now I’m probably the least busy I’ll be ever so it’ll just never happen xD

I can take the slot, provided it’s fine that I make a ruleset completely from scratch.

You're at the top of the stack, gancho. As long as you send in a ruleset in a reasonably timely fashion, you're good, kolo?  Keep in mind you're running the last game before the AG so don't drag it out but little danger of that I think.

So first thing, this is more for the Meta/Question and Answer thread here rather than GM signups, please

Within General Etiquette and Policy!  Which you should have read!  

 

P.S. If this is particularly related to say, Neil's vocabulary (I cannot comment about ongoing games so this is strictly a comment that other-maf-community players tend to be pretty vocab heavy at times), it's harder to factor those in, as those terms are community-specific, and if you're not exposed to those, you won't know it. Those you just have to ask.

To be clear, maybe if you have a wishlist of words you want to see added to the Lexicon, drop them in the Meta thread? I think the mods do a rulespost revision each new SE year, and we're in late Dec anyway. Won't be too much trouble to request they update if it helps on-boarding newer players

You can mark me as inactive on the GMing sheet. It’s not quite the right word, but it’s the one that’s used and I’m not planning on running another game

I’ve got an unused pass (and an unused ruleset for it…) that I can make up for grabs. Idk if I’m supposed to give it to someone specifically, or just chuck it out into the stratosphere for someone to claim, but whatever is the correct thing I’ll do that.

Speaking of unused rulesets— I don’t actually care about my pass ruleset, but I have an epic Shattering of Adonalsium blackout ruleset that I’d be more than happy to pass on if someone wants it. I know Elan and Straw already saw the blackout rules, years ago. The reason I never ran it was because it needs like 27 players minimum which just isn’t reasonable these days, so if you want it just know that it’s kind of a pipe dream, but knowing that dream lives on would be enough for me

Rulesets you can chuck into the stratosphere or do what Joe does, or just share in Art of Game Creation for anyone interested to run.

Pass-wise you can notify people you are willing to give it away and let them claim it, do a first-come-first-served, or give to a deputed person to make decisions for you (this one is if you are expecting no Internet access in your immediate/short-term future.) Half of it is your personal preferred decision algorithm, half of it is accessibility: probably just make sure people can see it.

Speaking of running games, what is the next type of game to be ran? I can theoretically run my Tress Long Game, but I want to make sure that we're supposed to run a Long Game next.

Thanks but I generally don't need a co-GM when GMing!

Also, I think there's a decent chance TJ is going to reactivate his QF slot, which would give him strict priority over most people in the queue right now.

Edited to add:

My suggestion would be to ask Sart or a LG GM btw - QFs can be extremely fast on the backend (you really want to keep rollover downtime short, so under twenty minutes if possible), meaning it might not be the best environment to get GMing experience!

If Exp doesn't want to go, I can take the LG slot provided sign-ups open after Valentines. Which would probably mean the QF would go first.

@TheRavenHasLanded, if you're willing, I could really use a co-GM if I do end up running it.
