I've sent my ruleset in for approval. If Striker still can, I'll consider it pre-approval; otherwise I'm ready to run and don't think it should take too much wrangling in committee because it's not especially complicated.

How does one go about being a GM? Particularly for a LG? Since this would be my first time so a Co-GM would help.

You just ask to sign up for a LG slot and when it gets down to you, you can run your game once you get approval from the Committee and the IMs. And generally if you ask for a Co-GM you'll get one. Though you can preapprove your rules or ask for help in creating one in the Game Creation thread and once your rule set is complete you can send it in for early approval since it might be a while before you can run a game :P

Can I sign up for a QF, a MR, and an LG plez :D

Done.

Can I make my MR slot anonymous? Or do I need to sign up for a new slot to do that?

Also (relatedly): @StrikerEZ do you want to run the next MR, or can I?

I believe there is a games played/run requirement, but that might only be for AG, I don't remember.

If you would like to run an Anonymous Game, you need to have played at least 10 SE games and GMed at least 4 (co-GMing does count for this).

Aw shoot.

@Szeth_Pancakes Hey sorry I've been insanely busy. This summer is turning out to be more hectic than I'd planned. You can take the next MR, if you haven't already.

Also, my LG's over. I hear KKC might be happening now? Or something.

ETA 2 weeks.

Edited to add:

Non-Sanderson Games: The requirement to have a pass in order to run a non-Sanderson game was implemented to reduce the number of non-Sanderson games when those were more than a third of the games being run. The effect, however, has been to make non-Sanderson games almost never run - there have only been three total in the last two years. As a result, we’re loosening the limitation somewhat: every fifth game in a format may be a non-Sanderson game. Pass-holders still have their passes, and may use them to run a non-Sanderson game whenever they want.

This rule keeps getting lost so I'm going to put it here for my SAN.

Worth noting for everyone that there is a tracker in GM sign-ups for how far we are from the next passless non-Sanderson game (check the blue counted in the Past Games tab, blue marks a non-SE game without a pass):

QF: Last passless game was QF62 - I have just run QF66, so the QF non-SE slot is once again open.

MR: Last passless game was MR61. Szeth is soon running MR64, which means that after MR65, the MR non-SE slot will once again be available.

LG: No passless games have yet been run. The LG non-SE slot is open.

Added an entirely new tab to the GM Signup spreadsheet that tracks now for non-pass non-Sanderson games. I think it's easier for everyone to have a clear visualisation of where we are for each category. I'll probably keep tinkering with it as we go ahead, but at least there's now an indicator for everyone.

I can run the QF on two conditions: 1. I find a willing co-GM who is largely available in the late evenings or very early mornings of EST and 2. you give me 2-3 days to refine my ruleset and send it to the committee.

edit: for those of you wondering, the intended flavour is Alice in Wonderland blackout :)

I would like to play, but if by the end of todayish nobody else has reached out, I can help co-GM.

I can't help with #1 as I'm unavailable/sporadically available for the next fortnight. For #2 specifically, I'll note that I've seen the current form of the ruleset, and am saying this here and now in case there's ??? about who is excluding and can see a blackout ruleset, in case I forget ._.

Would be happy to have you on board! My proposed rollover times would be 9:30 PM EDT or 4:00 AM EDT, so if the former works for you, I'd be thrilled to have the help. Though I'd warn you that co-GMing with me on this blackout will probably not be representative of the normative GMing experience :P
