That was probably too much information. He shook his hands, dismissing what he had just said. "Look, that takes a while though. Bottom line is, these potions will be highly effective for at least a month. After that, they might degrade. In about a year, they won't do all that much."

Distance based magic then. Like Elantris. Sheodan looked to the ruined city and winced. Elantris's fall had had a horrible effect on its denizens. The beings once treated as gods, reduced to disfigured wretches. Sheodan's gaze turned back to Fenot. What would happen if he died? Would his potions be twisted beyond recognition, becoming horrible poisons? Sheodan didn't intend to find out. He walked away, potion in hand.

So Bort is currently being lynched, with the last five votes coming within a span of an hour.

There are at least five ways the final vote tally could be different from the public vote tally. Let me know if I missed any. The monarch's vote counts double, the prince/princess can take someone who didn't vote and place their vote on someone, everyone who knows the passphrase can place secret votes that override their public ones, the Shu-Dereth pendant can cancel the votes of all the converts who voted for the target player, and the number of votes placed on a Dula is automatically reduced by one. Sometimes it can be helpful to have tie votes to see who gets saved/killed by vote manipulation, but in this game there are enough manipulation possibilities, many of them indistinguishable from each other, that a tie vote, or even a close vote, isn't as helpful. As such, I will vote for Bort.

We have two non-Elantrians who have not said anything yet. Honey Badger has already been mentioned a couple of times, so instead I will tag @Dalinar Kholin, who hasn't been online for almost a week.

I don't have much analysis to offer, and the only people that stood out to me are Araris and Bort. I'll talk about Araris later, maybe next cycle, but for now, Bort.

Len has already pointed out the first big thing, Bort's vote on Joe. Out of his five suspicions (few of which seem legitimate, honestly), Joe has been the most helpful so far, along with Drake. Participating in discussion, etc. It strikes me as odd why he didn't vote on Kidpen to begin with, or even Steel.

Second, that little exchange between him and Mraize in page 5 just.. strikes me as odd. It gives me elim vibes, honestly-- two elims pretending to slowly begin to trust each-other in the thread, so later-on they have a better excuse when defending each-other.

Third, this:

This, this is just weird. So what if your lynch proposal actually gets lynched? You seemed to be voting on people you genuinely suspect, not voting half-heartedly just for the sake of discussion. I would have accepted the latter, had you not actually expressed suspicion of Joe, however.

Basically, why are you voting on Joe, and then Kidpen, if you don't want them lynched? And why are you so worried about your lynch succeeding? It just reeks of elim to me-- Discussing, but trying not to take the discussion anywhere. So, for now I'll vote on Bort.

..HH, this is just a bad move all-around. We need a solid lynch, and we gain next to no info by lynching an inactive right now. The first vote on Badger was not a lynch attempt, it was a poke vote. Why, exactly, are you trying to make it out to be a bandwagon, and why are you hopping on for no given reason?

@STINK Enerin the storyteller will meet the Imperial Mint as soon as he possibly can. He is a busy and very homeless man at the moment. So, once he has arranged for housing in the nearest inn, he will come to entertain the Imperial Mint with stories and legends of lands the likes of which few have seen!

If my lynch proposal gets lynched, then so be it. I'd prefer to not be the one that starts a lynch mob since I freely accept that it is day one - no-one wants to die. But if it happens and someone dies, then it happens.

Also, my suspicions? It's day one. I barely have suspicions. When I posted, I felt I should probably vote for one of the people I was talking about, but like I said, cycle one, no-one wants to die this early in the game, hence not wanting to start a bandwagon. As you and others have pointed out, it was based on flimsy logic to begin with, but it was a day one poke vote. Everyone's day one poke votes are based on flimsy logic, if based on logic at all.

Basically, my defence for not wanting to kill someone off in cycle one is simple, I'm not a ... hmmm, how do I put this without upsetting the filter?... I am, rather, a decent sort of guy who wants to see people enjoy the game, and not just watch from the sidelines from the very beginning. Why is that such a bad thing?

My vote on Kidpen was already explained, she had voted me into the danger zone, so I returned the favour. Both votes are retracted now.

Yes Araris, you're right, but who wants to be the one responsible for kicking a player out of a long game on cycle one? Killing people, and starting lynches on suspects is all great, but no-one has anything except the flimsiest of excuses for bandwagoning anyone on day one.

But, not that it matters. The bandwagon has truly started. I was going to dump my vote on the inactive that seems to be gathering votes, if only to try to save my own skin, but that seems pointless now too.

Since it seems I'm going to die anyways, here's a final word of warning before I head to bed. I am the owner of Seon Teo, and have been in contact with Amanuensis. He role claimed to me, but was extremely reluctant to give proof, which makes me doubt. This might be the real reason behind the sudden bandwagon on me - an attempt to get me out of the way before I reveal one of their own. He did eventually, after much persuading, agree to prove his claim, but if he can't, well, that would have been an eliminator outed on cycle 2.

So, I could totally see the eliminators prodding at the vote to try to get more votes on someone that might be a threat. As for why I didn't bring up my thoughts on Aman earlier, I was giving him the chance to prove himself, but since it appears I will not be in a position to check the proof he offered, I felt I should share.

To the other Seon holders in contact with him, demand proof, but be careful.

Fixing color coding

As the mass of squabbling townsfolk began accusing each other, the almighty Dominion gazed from his perch above the world at the city of Kae. The poor fools, Dominion thought with a sigh. Though my Gyorn will obviously prevail, it seems unfair to bend my actual divine influence against these poor, lost city-dwellers. I shall provide them a vote count! 

A peal of thunder followed this thought, and the people arguing in the center of the square paused in awe as a voice boomed from the sky:

KIDPEN- ONE. THEYOUNGPYROMANCER.

ARARIS- ONE. A JOE IN THE BUSH.

STEELDANCER- ONE. THEMIGHTYLOPEN. 

THE HONEY BADGER- THREE. LITTLE WILSON, STRAW, AND HEMALURGIC HEADSHOT.

STRAW- ONE. STINK. THERE IS NO MINT IMPERIAL BUT I.

BORT: SIX. ELENION, ETERNUM, ARARIS, RANDUIR, ARINIAN, AND DEVOTARY OF SPONTANEITY.

Dominion sent another peal of thunder, which sent the mortals cowering again. He smiled. The fear etched in their faces was what made his station of godhood, which was normally boring, well worth it.

The GMs should be able to RP too, and not just in writeups. And since I was Dominion last Shard game, it seemed kinda fitting

Well and now I don't know what to do. Why people always confusing me after I vote... hate all this PM tinfoily secrets. I wanted to go sleep and now I don't know if I should retract vote from Bort or no.

I'm only starting to look over the thread, probably not going to vote this round. A little bit concerned about Kidpen, seems like they're trying to shift blame off themselves because they know we're going to hit a villager. Would prob's be too obvious though.
