I’m leaning towards wisdom/prudence as a lot of other people have stated there was a WOB on it. Reservation would be cool also

SP #1 vs SP #3; Your Favorite Secret Project
AerionBFII replied to ILuvHats's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I’ll have to say project 3 for me, I’m fascinated of seeing a cosmere novel where two worlds are being discovered at once. The magic system is probably the most vibrant since Awakening Im a little on the fence about gender bending, I’ve got no issues with it and I can see how Brandon is sidestepping it but I’m sure it will be funny just not my usual cup of tea. -
I am convinced Brandon was smirking when he wrote the noodle scene. I’ve wondered how Hoid time skipped, the coat hanger was… unexpected. But in character. This method obviously predates Soul casting but I have no idea how he manages it.

Secret Project Sample Chapters: Yay or Nay?
AerionBFII replied to nerpspren's topic in General Brandon Discussion
I swore to myself I wouldn’t go near them or listen to the previews. I swore the same for the Lost metal previews. I caved on them all. -
Do we have any information about footwear in the Cosmere other than Ym?
AerionBFII replied to Oltux72's question in Cosmere Q&A
I know of Shallan stole/borrowed Kaladin's boots, but from what we know, there are no cows on Roshar (except maybe in Shinnovar) so I'd guess they are made from some Chullhide alternative. Sandals and boots have been mentioned in SA and Warbreaker. Scadrial will certainly have shoes more familiar to what we wear. In Elantris Raoden assigned Mareshe to make shoes for the Elantrians. That's all I have got without searching my kindle -
Wait wait wait. So time dilution techniques that Hoid uses are him being frozen in time and used as a coatrack? XD
-
At this point I'd say Kelsier or the Ire due to the fact their organisations span the Cosmere. Until we become more familiar with characters from silverlight this is my choice.
-
It’s Wax for me, he’s capable, well rounded and I find the fact he and Breeze would have not got along pretty funny. Wayne is funny and Marasi is a grower. Steris is also very likeable

I’d love for Kaladin to play a role in the greater Cosmere but I think he’s going to go out in a blaze of glory and become a mythical figure. Like in future books when Worldhoppers visit Roshar and see his statue they’re be like “Wow, he looks so serious”

for fun "Called It!" Thread [Support]
AerionBFII replied to Child of Hodor's topic in Stormlight Archive
Renarin being a radiant. He was so quiet and unassuming and when Kaladin was discovering his powers I thought he must be doing the same offscreen. -
I always imagined a bridge 4 mulan musical of ‘We’ll make a man out of you’ for the new recruits. Like an initiation.

Honestly I remember my first read and thinking this Wit guy seems important. I won’t admit to how many cosmere books I read before this.

What's Your Bad Pitch For The Ending Of The Stormlight Archive?
AerionBFII replied to Bacon's topic in Stormlight Archive
Moash replaces Kaladin in history, Moash Stormblessed, bridge hero. -
Taravangium!

I didn’t feel the suspense to be honest, it was a cool fight scene but in this occasion plot armour was stronger than steel.
-
You know I’m so selfish, I wanted Kaladin to become Honor or unity in order to have a larger role within the Cosmere. I thought with Kaladin being (very loosely) related to Tanavast he’d have connection to Honor.. and possibly Todium he’d have connection to both Shards but it makes sense for Dalinar to ascend.

Gavilar was assassinated by the Parshendi due to the fact he was actively trying to restart the desolation. The parshendi from the planes were descendants of Parshendi who had rejected their gods and did not want to be enslaved. Just because Gavilar believed in order for them to ascend they needed an enemy to fight and unite Alethkhar. Gavilar’s intentions are still not fully known however he was a member of the sons of honor and had dealings with Kelsier/Thaidakar which we can assume revolves around getting the various lights off world. Seth was the tool used to execute him by the 5 (leaders of the Parshendi), one of the Parshendi purchased Szeth as he was lead there by the rhythms.. the reason for this is not know as you’d think Odium was wanting another desolation. As a guess I’d say due to Gavilars experiments with the different lights of Roshar and his experiments with Anti-Void light odium considered him a threat so lead them to Szeth. Multiple factions wanted him dead and he didn’t lack for enemies. He died because the Parshendi did not want to be enslaved and odium saw him as a threat ie Anti voidlight. The Parshendi killed him and odium had a hand in leading them to Szeth. A lot of Gavilars intentions are still not known, there’s a prevalent theory that he wanted to ascend to become a shard. But it was more of a combination of multiple factors that he was iced.

I don’t know the name or if there is one but I’d use Zinc A/F! I’d love to be able to riot people and to store up mental speed. Being able to compound that I’d be smart… then I can plan to take over.

I’ve taken a bit of a break from the cosmere and I’m a little rusty. I feel like I’ve missed 10,000 WOB’s and I am trying to refresh myself and catch up. It’s long been previously theorised Hoid has access to Feruchemy and it was assumed he was a Feruchemist but it was later revealed he simply has unkeyed metal minds.. That’s how he uses ferchemical powers Hoid has the full powers of a powerful Allomancer after ingesting the L bead and we now all know he has un-keyed Metalminds but I’m a little foggy on how they operate. Is he capable of refilling his un-keyed feruchemy metal minds himself and being able to burn/compound for twinborn powers?

Could Hoid kill by accident?
AerionBFII replied to Toaster Retribution's topic in Cosmere Discussion
I think Hoid is a master corner cutter. It is already established he could walk away from Roshar and leave it to odium if it meant odium would be trapped here. He said as much to dalinar. It would sadden him but he’d do it. He empathises with the individual but I think he’s more cold hearted than people realise. Don’t get me wrong I love him but him and Kelsier have more in common than I think they like to admit. Speaking of he certainly enjoyed whipping his ass and seemed to relish it. But he already didn’t think much of Kelsier prior to this. We know he can’t directly harm individuals but from this I think we can determine he would if he could. He’s not as savage as Kelsier’s wanton slaughtering but he’s perfectly capable of luring somebody onto a train track and watching them get hit by it. He’s subtle, crafty and perfectly capable of manoeuvring people to get around his little handicap. One thing I liked about this phrasing OP is the mountain climbing analogy. I think he is compelled to save people by choice not by his previous Dawnshard status. For example if Adolin fell off a cliff he’d offer a hand because he wanted to and laugh about it after. If Sadius fell of a cliff he’d watch with a smile. He couldn’t tread on his fingers or even kick dirt in his eye but I think he could watch him fall. -
I was wondering how the hell you knew about a new Odium when you only read WOR. I thought I had missed some glaring foreshadowing. I had the exact quote running through my head when Navani was messing around with Anti Light. I agree with some if not all of your points about characters but people tend to gravitate to certain viewpoints. My friend who has too much of a social life to sign up to the 17th Shard - loves Venli and hates Kaladins viewpoints when he is not doing something awesome. I grew quickly bored of Venli and love Kaladin. It is great to vent after such a colossal read through though.

Theory: Hoid is fine (cosmere spoilers)
AerionBFII replied to An Inkspren's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think Hoid just had his short term memory taken, nothing extreme but just enough to knock him off the second heightening. Todium recognised he screwed up in their interaction and Hoid knew something was off so pushed reset on their interaction.
