I personally think Kaladin would take up the Shard of Honour, there have been hints that he would pick it up and there have been a lot of allusions that there is a link between him and Honour/Tanavast but nothing conclusive that he is meant to be 'the one'. It is equally as likely Dalinar could pick it up or even Tal. I just know Brandon likes to toy around with expectations, the fact we learn Kaladin turned down a shard in the first book only to end his personal arc as picking one up would be poetic. Maybe I am bias because I want Kaladin to be involved in the larger role of the Cosmere but it seems atleast plausible.

Hi, I did have a look around for a similar thread to try and see if anybody is asking the same question before posting this. Knowing this community there are probably 10 I have not been able to find. I am a huge fan of Sanderson and the Cosmere, I have read every Cosmere most multiple times book but I have been MIA from this community for a while and I know the next Wax and Wayne will be coming soon and I really need to refresh on the Cosmere. Can anybody recommend any Cosmere Podcasts where they delve into worlds, characters, investiture, theories and WOB's? I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Oldium seems far more capable than Rayse was. I think this was simply due to the fact his personality has been mostly eroded by the shards intent. I think Oldium will chose El? L? (I’m an audiobook listener) as their champion against Dalinar. Im a little disappointed that Kal won’t be champion but I think he may end up replacing Honor/Tanavast in the end. He’s already got a cult and no significant other (RIP Jasnah shippers) and I think he’s the personification of Honor by the end of this book.

I think Thaidakar is Kelsier. What makes me think this is the fact: When Shallan breaks from the Ghostbloods she mentions Wit also calls him the 'Lord of Scars' The fact Wit mentioned he’d met him on other worlds Wit said he'd go back to his planet and slap him around again (Their tussle at the Well of Ascension)... Iyatil being from Scadrial, the south specifically, where Kelsier is worshipped and this may have been passed on to Mraize Kelsier couldn't visit Roshar because in person because Rosharns are too far beneath his level to be worthy of more he is a cognative shadow bound to Scadrial. When we last left Kelsier he was consumed by the need to prepare his world against other threats from the Cosmere. I also think he was mentally damaged during the time of his death, he never seemed quite right after. I remember a WOB where Brandon said if Kelsier joined the Ghostbloods he’d be the leader within two years. I think this was a little tongue in cheek comment. The guys a master schemer. I have just finished the book and I am a little shaken by all that happens so this isn’t exactly a full on dissection of facts and quotes like others post so I apologize.

I have just come off a Malazan Book of The Fallen reread and I am halfway through Joe Abercrombies First Law series reread.

I don't want to be a downer but Lift drives me insane. I don't find her goofy act cute at all. I find her quite irritating. Some of the interlude characters were a little dull but there are some interlude characters who are incredibly interesting, so it doesn't balance out so to speak but makes reading the interludes a positive experience. I got a little irritated at all the Bridge 4 characters getting their little 'breathing in stormlight for the first time' and there 'you got this bro' moments. But on a reread I really enjoyed them. I think the 1st time I was just really eager to follow the story and see what happens. On the second reread I could fully appreciate the character building scenes.

Welcome and walk in the light. I swear I have spent more time reading the WOB's than I have the actual books. I have spent a lot of time reading those. No idea if you have dabbled in https://wob.coppermind.net/ yet but it is a rabbit hole full of tidbits and extra info on behind the scenes and characters you should definitely check it out. I think Kaladin definitely betrayed Dalinars trust when he was plotting to kill the king but in the end he bailed and recommitted to his oaths and saved him in the end, I can’t really see Dalinar holding it against him tbh. It would be hypocritical considering what he wanted to do to Gav Moash just doubles down on his betrayals and they seem to be compounding. I had a little sympathy for him after book 2 but it was pretty much squandered after Oathbringer. The guys a douche canoe.

The way i read this was Moash killing Elhokar - Moash thought he was right getting his revenge and Kaladin thought he was in the right protecting Elhokar. But that salute!! That hurt. It was like Moash saying "Hope we can still be friends" but in reality is was the worst thing he could have done.

Kaladin in a fair fight. Kelsier would cut his throat in his sleep though.

Honestly don't care what happens. I just want to see Mraize and his invested Chicken.
