  1. Can Kaladin still summon it? I can recall vaguely BS saying in a WOB being in possession of both would enable minor compounding. I'd still say the safest place for it would be in Kaladins possession.
  2. I think Kal will keep the Honour Blade, theres no safer place. On a more important note.....What about a Shard Bow and Arrow? Pretty handy if you could just keep re-summoning your ammo
  3. Surge-Binders and Shardbearers are definitely different in general, they attained their Shards in different ways but I think there is only a few who actually earned their blades recently. They seem to be just passed down. I think the natives of roshar would have trouble distinguishing the differences between Surge-Binders and Radiants too and there will be a definite stigma/mistrust only inflamed by the ardents. I think the reaction will be mixed but seeing as how Kaladin slew the assassin in white that's got to deserve some credit haha. I don't think they'd be considered less especially with the powers they can wield, maybe a combination of fear, awe and mistrust. They're superior in virtually every way.
  4. I agree! Men would see this as a blending between Masculine and Feminine arts and manly men wouldn't appreciate that lol. Actually having a Shardblade does by default make you a Lighteye and magically transform your eyes lighter. I do agree that him being a Surge-Binder is gonna cause Hella problems for him though and your right people will seize on that. The reason he still has dark eyes is all to do with perception. The reason Lopen could grow back his arm but Kal's slave scars are still there. It's how you view yourself and Kal doesn't see himself as a Lighteye.
  5. THANK YOU!!! That is exactly how i feel!! Hahaha we do enjoy this way way way more than we should XD
  6. I don't think my heart could take it if Kaladin's already epic fight scenes got even more intense...
  7. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Hope you have a nice day :)

  8. I think the thing that will crack Adolin into confessing is when the brunt of the blame or at least the speculation falls on Dalinar. Many will believe it was him or by his order that Sadeas was murdered. It will make Dalinars mission of uniting the Highprinces a little harder with his greatest rival suddenly dying and will make the already scant trust a little harder to achieve. I think there will be some moral repercussions in the form of Adolins guilt but i highly doubt the toll will be that great.
  9. This reminds me of an awkward moment when i was younger, i was at a friends house playing GTA and My friends mum kept coming in just bringing in his washing and seeing if we wanted anything turned a blind eye to the killing civillians, car jacking and robberies but when we entered a certain gentlemans club... well.... thats just a step too far XD Talk about awkward..
  10. I hope so, i really liked him but i think he'll just cameo in other interludes.
  11. During the final Alethi confrontation with Szeth, when Dalinar comes slowly floating down.... and you know what comes next
  12. Ohhhh it's gotta be when the wronged good guy gets his revenge.
  13. Currently Reading: The Thousand Names by Django Wexler I've only just started it but it seems promising On a side note i love this Thread, I've turned it into my personal hunting ground when trying to find new series.
  14. Don't be coy. Im trying to restrain myself from asking for your Autograph
  15. Happy Birthday!!! Hope your having a great day!!  :lol:B)

  16. Hahaha thats what i was referring too, like kari-no-sugata said she's got a taste for freedom and has no intention of surrendering it for anybody, he'd best beware. Too be fair Dalinar has a lot on his plate wondering whether he's going mad and the war effort too keep track of Adolins numerous relationships but in all honesty i don't think Adolin minds in the least with the free reign on courtships his father has gifted him. I can't imagine the courtships would go any better if Adolin had the Blackthorn breathing down his neck. Could you imagine the shock though for old D? The very thing he's been looking for, for months and he suddenly realized a Knights Radiant is betrothed to his son? Dalinar was happy to let his son marry for love, even though it would mean marrying a secluded bankrupt minor house from Jah Keved with nothing to offer but everything to gain. The way i interpreted Dalinars suddenly more supportive attitude discovering what Shallan was, was that it symbolized he wasn't mad and that he was right to listen to his visions and suddenly the marriage would bind Shallan a KR to them, making the marriage a lot more beneficial as well as making his son happy. Absolutely they are! I drive myself mad trying to figure it out haha. The whole of Roshar seems to be rather cut throat though. Mriaze raised a good point though about Jasnah having some of their members killed, i mean she's got an assassin on tap, Dalinar used to basically be a butcher. and don't get me started on MR.T. They all have their reasons and justifications for what they've done but for me they're not as bad as the SONS.
  17. HATED her the first book. The Jam, the awkward flirting,The poor attempts at humour, The Jam, the awkward flirting, The poor attempts at humour it was too much..Until the last 2-3 chapters id be grinding my teeth until i was back to Dalinar or Kaladin. Second book there was definitely massive character improvement and i came to enjoy her a lot more. The spacing out annoyed me a little but i hardly noticed it on my rereads. Im actually quite fond of her now but shes not in my top 5 SA Characters.
  18. He should keep offering to keep her safe. He'd get more than a glimpse. Personally im curious to see what the real game of the Ghostbloods is, i hope she goes with them. Im sure she'll justify it to herself, Shallan the KR and Veil the Ghostblood. Hahaha Max!! Adolin goes through women like Szeth goes through targets. Dalinars basically given him free rein to go play the field with no pressure of a forced marriage and he has, i think he's simply lost any hope at keeping up with who's who. He noticed the relationship between Shallan & Adolin was different and decided if it was what Adolin wanted he'd support it long before he new what she was.
  19. You make some excellent points! I believe in the age of the 10 Silver Kingdoms the Original Knights Radiant held themselves separate for this exact reason. It would be a conflict of interests and even with their self imposed removal there were issues and conflicts between the Orders. Trying to impose blanket laws over the separate Orders and regular citizens would be a disaster. Dalinar has always struggled with relinquishing power which is a character floor since he never trusts anybody to do their job properly but i don't think the time is right for him to step back yet. I sympathize with Elhokar, he's not a good king and he tries to do his best but he's not yet ready. I don't think placing Adolin over Elhokar would be such a great idea either but i understand your point. He needs to focus on the Knights Radiant, figuring all this will be an issue which will rear it's head in Oathbringer.
