I would say that from a purely meta perspective, but there's going to be some interesting tension in the Laral department when he arrives in Hearthstone.

[Words of Radiance Tour] Chicago Signing, Mar 22
bartbug replied to Argent's topic in Events and Signings
Compounding Investiture is a fairly useless skillset, though. While it would be great to be able to store your Investiture, you don't need Allomantic Nicrosil in order to do it. Feruchemical Nicrosil is great, but Allomantic? Not so useful. (See, the key here is that Compounding is different from what many think it is. All that Compounding does is turn a Feruchemical ability into an Allomantic one, and then you store the excess in your metalmind. But you could take any source of Investiture to put in that metalmind, and I'd much rather have a useful metal that I could use in another way then Nicrosil. (For example, a coinshot could presumably store their steelpushes as Investiture)). -
I hope so. And it would have to be epic, so much that you would need bold and italics to describe it. For a title, I think Hoid or Cosmere would work well. Or it depends on which series he's lumping it with. Also, I sincerely hope the Silence Divine doesn't count with the 36, now that it's been pushed back to only being a novella. I think a two parter final novel would be just enough to do the cosmere justice.

One thing I noticed is, Roshar is pretty much symetrical, almost perfectly, until you take into account Aimia. Aimia is the island that throws off the symettry. Maybe it actually is a place of the Voidbringers.

Would you take a Shard? (General Spoilers)
bartbug replied to Observer's topic in General Brandon Discussion
Ruin would be fun, providing there was always a Preservation to back me up and keep me from doing too much damage. But what you have to remember is, at the heart of Ruin, it is change. Ruin is the catalytic Shard. -

[Words of Radiance Tour] Chicago Signing, Mar 22

Silence from Threnody, maybe. There seems to be a lot of parallels between her and Dalinar's religious issues. (They're both pretty pissed at God). -

For Scadrial, something that's been bothering me for a long time is what the Investiture-levels of Feruchemists are. I mean, mistings are mistings because they have a lot more Preservation than normal. But then, why are Feruchemists Feruchemists? -
Give all the upvotes! Seriously, this is great.

The Parshendi are not Voidbringers (spoilers)
bartbug replied to Grayv's topic in Stormlight Archive
I totally agree with this. But there's even more that I want to add. I've been thinking about a theory for a while now, and it is kind of related to this. We have WoB that Parshendi cannot create a Nahel Bond, but I still believe that they can have "Honorforms", if you catch my drift. A form that is used when bonding with a radiant spren. (This is all speculation. I have no proof). So, going on with this, I believe that the Voidbringers are the Spren, while the Voidbinders are humans who create a type of Nahel bond with the spren. Of course, the spren you would have to use would be a fallen form of the radiant spren. (Not necessarily once a radiant spren, but Odium's take on a similar concept). Then this is where the Ten Fools come from: When you appose the idealogy of the Radiants with your actions, you invite the Voidbringers. I believe that Elhokar is attracting the Void-Cryptics, while Adolin will be some type of Voidbinder as well. Sorry for the rambling. -
Also: Clarification on the original theory: I'm not saying that Nightblood is one of the ten Honorblades given to the Heralds, but rather that he is the same class of weapon as an Honorblade.

Seattle signing: RENARIN WILL HAVE A BOOK!
bartbug replied to JamHeretic's topic in Stormlight Archive
Ditto with Argent. When did we hear about flashback-Lift? She didn't strike me as a very good candidate for that, considering how she's somewhat... young. I mean, if Rall Elorim is that important, sure, I guess, but I don't see her as adding very much to the party. -
Also, even if you alter the right organs, there still is DNA, so if you want it wholesale, I would think you would need Forgery. Edit: Wrote Soulcasting, though I totally meant Forgery. I can't see how you would get Soulcasting to work.

Szeth question at end of words of radiance SPOILER
bartbug replied to agentprimus's topic in Stormlight Archive
Yes. Mwahaha. -
Wait, The Silence Divine takes place on Threnody? But I thought that that was Shadows of Silence.... Could they happen on the same planet? I was pretty sure that The Silence Divine took place on Ashyn.

I think Chaos is talking about how all Cognitive Shadows manifest as shades on Threnody. Which is pretty whacked up.

Wow! Thanks a million; it seems you've done the lion's share of the work. I'll see if I have any time to do it later, but it might have to wait until Tuesday.

Maybe Returned don't need to breathe (or eat) because they're Investiture generates both the food and the oxygen, but they deliver the magic power to the individual cells through the blood (if that makes any sense).

Okay. Sorry about that, but Soundcloud has a time limit that I would need to pay to exceed, evidently. So here it is, on Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxXvXBhU4IZPNFlCQjZuUUJvUk0/edit?usp=sharing (short one, I think). and https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxXvXBhU4IZPY3VPVGZuVnNxaWM/edit?usp=sharing (long one). Cheers!

Hmm... I'm excited for the next Wax and Wayne book even more, now.

I read a WoB that said if Hoid lost his head, it would regrow. I have a feeling that he could survive digestion.

When you ask for White Sand, you can also ask for Aether of Night.

I hope Brandon was Aes Sedai-ing you. After all, it could he argued that the Thrill is an Odious influence.
