So, I was buying the Firstborn/Defending Elysium combo pack on Brandon's website, and for the personalization, I asked "What Allomantic Abilities would Demoux have on Roshar?" https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxXvXBhU4IZPWGk5eTU0dDh3VWxBVjNaajFvYkpUbnlhZWxz/edit (He RAFO'd me. Go figure.) Evidently, there is some room for speculation here. So: Speculators, go!

Uggh... first one's great, second ones eh, and the thirds awful. How come it looks like a different girl in all three, with an overall decrease in maturity? The one in Hero of Ages looks pre-puberty. EDIT: If it wasn't for the weird look of Vin-child in Hero of Ages, I just realized that I would love it. That koloss looks so badchull.

If you want silver, try SfSitFoH.

Awesomeness: the trick is not to give it away. The trick is to Awaken it away. Choose an Awakened object at whatever level of Breaths you may have, and do it once and never take it back. So yeah. Preferably, try for a strawman: They have continued use, which is nice.

I think that killing should be on the bottom, with returning happening afterward. However, if you decide to kill someone who's giving up a divine breath, then they should be able to save their person before dying.

It might happen in the "mad noble's lost love" situation, but I doubt the noblemen would use Kandra's for prostitution, even if you found a very (this is disgusting) attractive skaa. Mostly, this is because you have to buy Kandra with atium, while skaa are free. And you could totally have a half kandra, however, you would need to get the right gender. For example, TenSoon is male, and has male DNA. Even though he could replicate a woman, with all of the right... organs, it wouldn't work. (At least, that is what my very limited knowledge of biology tells me.

I've actually asked Brandon about this. Even if you used atium, the spike you would need would have to be impossibly (improbably ) massive.

Oh, and I'm going to go with Meta here, and announce that I am totally Drab. No Breath left to me, and I'm happy. More than that, however, I would implore my fellow Hellandrens, and my fellow Idrians, to do the same. For the Hallandrens, give your Breath away if you only have one or two, and build a strawman if you have three. That way, you have a little soldier to do work for you, and your Breath cannot be stolen by the Pahn Kahl. And for the Idrians: Choose someone, maybe a spy, to give your single Breath to so that they can put it away in an Awakened strawman.

Some thoughts on Shardplate *Some spoilers I guess*
bartbug replied to Zhalfirin's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think that this is a really interesting theory. I definitely would not be surprised with it being aluminum, or a soulcaster, to be honest, though something about this just isn't sitting right with me. I think that once we understand Soulcasters, we'll understand Shardplate, which is a connection I had not made before. Great job!- 30 replies

Yolen is certainly a possibility, especially whenever something ancient and mysterious is present. But I doubt that the Fallen World is Yolen, at least in this case. Remember, it was a relatively recent event, and that society is at a level of technology where they would correctly understand events. And yes, the God Beyond is a secret little thingy that's been sprinkled throughout the books. It's also in The Emperor's Soul, if I'm not mistaken. Brandon has said that it refers to a belief in a God not unlike the Judeo-Christian one that has begun to pop up in the cosmere. Something less tangible, yet more powerful.
-
I was going to ask a question, but for now at least, I've decided not to. I mean, I've listened to every season of Writing Excuses, so I don't feel pressed for any of those questions, and I'm pretty sure that asking a too cosmerically heavy question is a little inappropriate, so I'm just going to sit down and enjoy the show.

Umm... this is difficult to say in a nonawkward way... so I'll be brief. May the Hallandren Spy (The one who is an Idrian on the list but is technically Hallandren) please report to me, Meta, or Awesomeness? I gave you these three so you can choose your own, but do it quick. We need to know who is on our side.

Thought it was the best of the Stage 2 Movies, and maybe the best Marvel movie. After Thor 2, it was a really nice surprise to see this.

Have an upvote. This theory is so almost certainly true that I feel like I've seen it before. Nice to see you, Ketek.

I'm here. I just am not into the roleplay a whole lot. When the votes start flying though, I'll come in.
-
I've said this in the <top secret> Hallandren PM, but I'll say it again: Meta, call this off. I just don't see how this ends well. The Pahn Kahl can return too, you know. Keep your Breath, for now.

I agree with what Herowynbe says. That makes sense.

Crazy Theory-Odiums Victory and Series Future
bartbug replied to Zionite's topic in Stormlight Archive
The thing is, Brandon's an optimist. And, he intends the two arcs to be potentially stand alone. So I doubt that he'll end one on such a sour note, even if it is so cool. I envision the first arc ending with the stormfather letting the spren through, and with Kaladin dead. -
@Gamma: What? What would make you say that? Of course I'm the Seeker. : I'm just surprised that there were any games were I did anything before being lynched, especially after the first.

I feel like breath buying should be something tangible: A vote or a night action. As in, you give it up to another party. So it goes something like this: 1.Hallandren fellow has lifeless, decides he wants more breath. Tells Clancy. 2. Clancy says "okay", if someone else has already told Clancy they are in the market for lifeless. Hallandren fellow gets his breath, random dude gets lifeless, neither know about each other. Or: You don't get to vote, so you get a breath. Or you roll the dice. Either way, I feel like there should be a cost that is the same for everyone.
