    In the spinnings of the canals of ash, there are no beginnings or endings. Cyrus's death was the end of innocence, and the beginning of deceit. Now we are left to deal with the never ending winds, starting from the Ashmounts, blowing down to us.

    Yeah... a part of the issue is his Aes Sedai ability to weasel out of questions. You have to corner him right tight.

    Yeah, it definitely threw off the pacing. I'm on my reread now, only with everything, and it feels much smoother.

    I actually think that it is very possible that when on Roshar, Nightblood will act like a Shardblade. Let me explain. In a Word of Brandon, he says that spren are how the Investitures of Roshar are channeled into a form, and are the reason why Shadesmar is (relatively) safe. In Sel, the Dor gets channeled through various outlets. Scadrial likes metals. Nalthis is all about giving, and Endowment, and color. Now that we know that Shardblades are actually spren, I believe that Investiture akin to a spren (i.e. Nightblood) will now act like a spren would. I could be wrong, but given how Nalan calls Nightblood a Shardblade instead of some foreign magic, I doubt it.

    A part of me wonders if it is actually Nightblood, and not a very related cousin. After all, one could presumably create something nearly identical to Nightblood with the command, "Destroy evil." I am definitely going to ask if Zahel is Vasher at the San Francisco signing. This is soooo exciting.

    Are we sure it's actually Nightblood, and not just another Type IV with a "destroy evil" command? Does it actually matter? What confuses me is - Nightblood is clearly not a Shardblade, just that the Rosharan knowledge of magic swords would cause people on Roshar to think he is one. I need to know what the timeframe is between WoR and Nightblood (the book).

    On mobile, so spoilers. I loved this. Also, I need to read it again to evaluate. But when I saw Nightblood, I fist pumped for a couple of minutes. Words can not express how awesome that is to me.

    First thought when I release WoR might be on kindle at midnight: Gee, I've never pulled an all nighter before. Think of the power I'd get if I did that. Especially with a school day tomorrow! I hope Brandon feels guilty about this. The power is corrupting my soul.
