  1. Cessie. Hey, do we have two Tineyes now? Dyring's going to be pissed - wait. R.I.P. Dyring. May there be no Tineyes in your afterlife.
  2. Tears up... I'm gonna miss you, Kurk. Unfortunately, I don't have as much will power as you do. While I can easily avoid spoilers that Brandon hasn't leaked, I find it impossible to avoid the ones that he has given out. So of course, I will religiously look for the epilogue, especially since he told us that it would have external magic systems. Thank you for having the strength that I lack.
  3. Well, Ping, there are a few things we can do. First, if any misting with power who has used it before has stopped showing it, then they are suspect. Also, any normals are still suspect, sadly.
  4. I wish we could, but I'm almost positive that Cessie will be gone by tonight. No reason for her to stay and waste her (hopefully) last spike. No, she's gonna make a final spiked and leave.
  5. Well, given what Hoid says about Raise pre-Odium indicates that they were probably somewhat similar. Crafty, manipulative. And also, we have to remind ourselves that Hoid is not exactly a reliable narrator. If he has some beef with Rayse, then it will probably bleed through.
  6. Ooh! I like your addition! It could explain why Preservation, who had isolated himself by removing Ruin, was great at it while Ruin, who was surrounded and imprisoned by Preservation, had issues. Also, Odium is separated and lonely on Braize, just like Cultivation is (possibly) isolated in Shinovar. Meanwhile, on Sel, far off Wyrm, in his unDevotional land, is excellent at piercing the future.
  7. I say, post away. Speak now, or forever hold your piece. Come on, Meta, it don't really matter. Besides, I have to go to bed soon, and I want it before then. Think of the children! EDIT: Come on, Meta, I have five, maybe ten, minutes! I'm dying.
  8. Epic Powers: He can copy powers from whatever format he wants, be it book, other Epic, or what. However, he can only take from a certain character at a time, and the less like him the character is, the greater the amount of power he loses. For example, if he tries to take from a Harmony like entity and literally ascend, he would really only get a fraction of the power. But with this, he could reasonably be a mistborn, or surgebinder, or spiderman, or hulk, or Aes Sedai. (Of course, he gets the inherent weakness and power requirements for each power he takes, too). Epic Weakness: Now, this is where it gets interesting. Whenever he kills someone, he copies their allergies. Then, the allergy becomes his weakness, and if he activates it, he dies. So, kill someone allergic to bee stings? Until you kill someone else, bees will kill you. Epic Name: I dunno.
  9. Good to have you here! Are you ready for Words of Radiance yet?
  10. ... A part of my soul just died from a jealous overload.
  11. I don't really watch anime (as in, don't), but I decided to watch Attack on Titan after seeing the fan game, and it was SO good. I burned through it in two sittings, which surprised me. It also didn't help me academically, seeing as those were both school nights... What do you guys think about Attack on Titan?
  12. Hey guys. I have something to say: If baldface (Cessie) just gave up UberSteel, then she (as the Inquisitor) is reaching her endgame. Granted, it's not over; but we need to keep ourselves aware of the fact that she is probably ready to die, and now has three Spiked who are integrated into our numbers. I can guess that she originally had five, now, because the Inquisitor is still alive, but is ready to die. This is getting intense.
  13. WoR Spoiler: In WoR, Amaram's going to be chillish towards Kaladin (I mean, as chill as he can be. He won't be as bad as many think).
  14. I've always thought that the God Beyond is the Survival Shard that Brandon briefly mentioned. It flits from place to place, leaving as soon as things get bad. That would have put it at when Preservation failed and the age of TLR began, when Odium splintered Dominion and Devotion, and when the catastrophe occurred in SoSiFoH. Of course, it would have to be one of those "no Invest much" shards, but that makes the most sense to me.
  15. Watching it right now. Sooo much good.
  16. How in the heck is TLR a monster? Then again, it depends on what you consider to be a monster. If you think someone like Ruin is, then I guess I understand you. But even then, it's hard to not look at TLR with anything but awe and respect. He potentially saved billions of lives, and nearly every "bad" thing that he did, it was connected somewhat evidently to Preservation's influence on him combined with Ruin's never ending torment. Yes, TLR killed Kelsier. But you know what? In the grand scheme of things, Kelsier (until book three) was a villain. He was on Ruin's side. Unwitting, yes, but still. He killed wantonly and broke apart a system that above all things, worked. In all honesty, the Lord Ruler is my favorite character in the trilogy.
  17. @Gamma: If I was the Inquisitor, then Meta would have to be pretty sick, (which is no argument, as we have seen from previous games), but in this case, I am also not. And I guess you're right in that I probably should vote. But this time, I refuse to argue. I'm going to do whatever Ping does and stop there. Non-influential? I was one of the main people arguing against Shiv (then again, I don't know whether or not that convinced people). But now, my vote is just going to be a booster for Ping. Heh, dyring, good point. Hey, if Aspren is the spiked, that could explain why he needs the Aspren so much! I mean, Spikes in the head can't feel good...
  18. I think that I can definitely see what your point is, and it is valid. Vin did kind of annoy me, but believe me, she comes into her own in the last book. Yes, she is definitely awesome and bad donkey, and she is definitely insecure about it, but there is a specific point that I can think of when she goes all Kelsier and completely throws her doubt to the wind. It's a very compelling character arc, and it pretty much resolves your problems with her. Yeah, I absolutely hated Elend in the first book. I asked my friend, who had read it before me, if he died, and he said yes. When I later found out his falsehood, I tore (the books) his heart out of (his hands) his chest and devoured (them) it. But as you have seen, Elend gets better and I love him as much as Vin.
  19. I think that sprens are not the form for fabrials, but are the investiture instead (much like a misting uses constant innate investiture to create a constant effect). However, in surgebindings, I can very much see the bond between the Surgebinder and the spren as the form. Then, it explains how Ideals of Radiance, which logically would strengthen the bond, grant greater surgebinding powers. See, we have to use what we know from WoB. Like, we know that Seons are the comparisons to Spren. So, we should look at that comparison, then extrapolate. Great Theory, though.
