  1. I think the "though broth are we, their meat is men" (Listener Song of spren), plus their history of the Desolations just meant that there had never had been a Singer Radiant, it was "not a thing" and "just not done", so to speak, rather than thought impossible, it was likely not thought of at all as an option.
  2. Now someone just needs to animate this
  3. This lower power state might be the default state for them, when the Lord Ruler used the Well of Ascension, he gave his supporters Lerasium:
  4. Oh I like it, I could definitely see that happening!
  5. Mistborn: Secret History spoilers We don't exactly know much about the Shaod, even Hoid didn't manage to turn himself into an Elantrian (Elantris 10th Anniversary Edition) People altered by Investiture, supercharged and using the Dor as fuel are good guesses, imo. The Ire fortress did have that pipeline, theorized to be pumping Dor from Sel's Cognitive Realm and the Ire were drinking something that was theorized to have been liquid Dor.
  6. Just finished Ari and Dante discover the Secrets of the Universe

Damn, that book, it hit me in all the places. All of them.

  7. Holy crem, that's storming great!
  8. I've always wondered that too, and I can't think of any reason why evolution would do something like that. It also doesn't have anything to do with the Aimians or the Singers, unlike other weird races on Roshar (the Unkalaki, the Herdazians, the Natan, the... Babath?)... maybe the Thaylen are like the Iriali? From elsewhere?
  9. What's this? The Fused?
  10. Mage Errant 6: Tongue Eater is going to be out soon! Aaaaaaaaa!

  11. Finally! I've been waiting to see a Cusicesh depiction for far too looooong! And it is terrific!
  12. That scene was so wack, love it that this community's already creating fanart of it
  13. I highly recommend the podcast Archive 81 Season 3 (and its short story Left of the Dial) for those who loved the Magnus Archives. Don't worry about Season 1 & 2, they are good too and the main characters of the first two seasons do appear in season 3 but it follows new people. The magic system idea is amazing as is the characterization. Also, has lesbian (S1 & 2) and gay (S3 & LotD) main leads. Other great podcasts are Night Vale (in the same vein as Archive 81 & Magnus) and Wolf 359 (sci-fi). There's also the Left-Right Game which has an amazing concept and execution, though its ending was a bit disappointing.
  14. That was fun, thank you for making this!
  15. Good god, I might need a hint or two! Maybe I'll go ask someone who's completed it to tell me if it's from the Cosmere, Reckoners or Cytoverse at least. Hopefully I won't need to ask if it's the name of a character or place Edit: did not need the hints!
  16. Could the StormFaker be literally Evil Stormfather... the Everstormfather
  17. Hahahaha!
  18. She went to Shinovar, and stayed there for a while
  19. Oof, I know that feeling, sorry mate
  20. This is from Secret History: So it doesn't seem like it's just a Rosharan subastral thing
  21. If that worked, the things that happened in Sixth of the Dusk probably wouldn't have happened. They need a fair few things aside from Connection to Patji or First of the Sun (assuming they even need that). The power comes from the parasites and is bestowed upon the birds, who can also bond humans. The humans themselves aren't getting the powers.
  22. He was able to Connect to Dalinar due to his Unmade Nergaoul's influence, iirc?
  23. This is not Cradle or the Arcane Ascension universe, sadly. Being Invested would change them, simply living in an area of high ambient Investiture... would give them more chances to experiment with Investiture but no direct benefits aside from general health as far as we know (and I don't think they can just... circulate the Investiture to reach higher cultivation levels or what-have-you) but that's still pretty major, I'd say:
  24. We see Renarin use Illumination in Rhythm of War "Renarin claimed the spren was trustworthy, but something was odd about his powers. They had managed to recruit several standard Truthwatchers—and they could create illusions like Shallan. Renarin couldn’t do that. He could only summon lights, and they did strange, unnatural things sometimes.…" I prefer to think of Renarin's futuresight as a combination of both of his Surges: Illumination of Progression, he illuminates how things might progress
  25. Current guess is Starspren due to the appearance of the Highspren (they look like a tear through which the starry night sky peeks out. Their real form in the Cognitive Realm is humanoid but also starry
