urban sprawl, basically. There's another term that's closer but it would give the game away The term was satellite towns Ooh, nope, pretty good guess though I would normally give a bonus clue if more than a single guesser proved me wrong in assuming that all my clues taken together can only provide one valid answer but... I really can't this time, because anything more would make it insta obvious, so sorry!

Oh! Very good guess, but nope! 1) This place is hidden, accessible to only a few 2) This place exists to provide access to another place 3) This place held some things of significance to the Shardworld, its history and its magic 4) The place that this place provides access to, provides access to yet another place 5) This place is located in what can be considered a metropolitan conurbation

Are you asking if there's a WoB that you can find by those two keywords, I'm afraid not. But Brandon has confirmed that Ashyn used to have a form of Surgebinding, that Odium is associated with Voidbinding, that Odium is connected to the destruction of Ashyn (apparently he didn't just fuel the Surges but tempted Ishar somehow, as per RoW)

He's talking about the disease-based magic system there, not the Surges. Both the in-world legends and WoBs support that Voidbinding itself originated in Ashyn and that it is associated with Odium.

She'd be... not okay with it exactly but willing to use it for the greater good. Kinda like the forum discussions on the possibilities of ethical usage of Hemalurgy, I think.

What happens if a Steel Inquisitor has a child?
Honorless replied to Trusk'our's question in Cosmere Q&A
I think so. Spiritual DNA can alter far too many things for it to not have any Physical effect, imo. If it can alter eye colour, it can alter other genetic stuff too. -
Yes, because it still is the same effect

^ This and ^ This I don't believe what you'll have after bonding the Unmade would be anything like a Bondsmith. I think the Unmade would have to change in some way, in order to become a Bondsmith spren. Ba-Ado-Mishram, who learned to grant Voidlight and was Connected to the spren of Roshar and Connected herself to the Singers seems like the prime candidate. As does Sja-Anat who can alter spren somehow. And doing so is possible now that Odium is truly one of the Shards of Roshar and the new Odium might be willing to do it. I do not believe that Odium is incapable of granting Bondsmith powers, as that is supposedly what destroyed Ashyn, Bondsmith unchained and Odium was the Shard that powered the Surges there (well and plus a Dawnshard), also Yelig-Nar can grant all 10 Surges, incl Adhesion, the Pure Surge of Honor, and Connection is also used by the Regal form of Envoyform. The Unmade like Nergaoul the Thrill and Yelig-Nar seem to already be bond capable in a different way, I'm not sure if something like them could be Nahel Bonded though. Possibly Ashertmarn the Heart of the Revel too, if their effect uses some similar manner of bonding as Nergaoul. And possibly Moelach of the Death Rattles too, it's possible they Bond to a person at the moment of death to access Fortune in the Spiritual. Re-Shephir the Midnight Mother is capable of creating Midnight Essence, so she can create spren? That... seems like a very Bondsmith spren level ability?

I wouldn't be surprised if the Five Scholars managed to tap into something more fundamental during the creation of Nightblood and either knowingly or accidentally accessed Ruin's power. Awakening as an Invested Art seems quite close to the fundamental rules of magic in the Cosmere: Commands. I wouldn't be surprised if it's easier, past the initial cost of Breaths, to use that system to tap into deeper magic, kinda like a Bondsmith.

It isn't copying any abilities though, just supercharging it. Think of it this way: it was powered by petrol, now it's powered by diesel and it could handle both from the beginning

I like to call it Rebellionlight because of Venli's association of defiance and freedom with it I do suspect that we might, after all it's about time that the Voidbinding chart started to become more meaningful. There are WoBs that one could bond with the Unmade The Unmade do seem to be on about the same level of power as the Bondsmith spren, but Cusicesh is said to be almost on the same level too, and that there's something more than just power needed to become a Bondsmith spren All of the Unmade may not be Bond-able in this manner. Nergaoul / the Thrill's effect technically is a weak bond, I think, given the Sadeas army possession thingy that happened at Thaylen City, that a Fused compared to Singer bonds and according to Odium was possible because of intense emotions, iirc. Yelig-Nar's bond also enables possession and taking over, kinda like a Fused's bond with Singer but slower acting, and it apparently grants quite a few more Surges.

Well, they're all usable Investiture for their own associated Invested Arts, I'd imagine, plus for fabrials but the Knights Radiant as we've seen them... have not interacted with Towerlight so far. Although, Voidlight can power Surgebinding, it looks like and Lifelight too, it seems, the problem is just their method of distribution makes them less accessible. Presumably, Towerlight, Warlight and... let's call it Rebellionlight, can be used to power the Surges too, might not work as well as Stormlight though, perhaps fueling some Surges better than others or something along those lines.

True, though from their Order's name, I'd assumed this was something they all shared.

The Investiture associated with the Shard is not just all clumped up in one place. Adonalsium's power permeated the Cosmere and when he Shattered and the 16 Vessels took up his 16 Shards, all that power got assigned to the Shards as well. You don't necessarily have to go to Scadrial to get some of his Investiture. Ruin is all ruin across the Cosmere.
-
Good point, killing either of them would be better as they both provide something much more necessary to his enemies: Stormlight, their primary source of Investiture, and their headquarters. Plus, they're huge targets. The Stormfather has to move with the Highstorm and the Sibling is a stationary building. And Odium did try to get the Sibling, and hey, if the Night of Sorrows prediction is correct, the Stormfather might be in danger.

Afraid not 1) This place is hidden, accessible to only a few 2) This place exists to provide access to another place 3) This place held some things of significance to the Shardworld, its history and its magic

Two clues from the get-go: 1) This place is hidden, accessible to only a few 2) This place exists to provide access to another place

Lightweavers have various mnemonic abilities (from the in-world Words of Radiance), so two of them might not necessarily manifest the same ability as their Resonance. The Resonance seems to be connected to one of the Surges and the Order's role / central theme of their Ideals / Divine Attributes. Both Truthwatchers and Lightweavers seem to have the ability to peer into the perfect ideal self of others to some degree too, though that might not technically be a Resonance.

That which was thought will never come has come. Pat reading from the prologue of book 3!

I mean technically she did have a character arc where she failed: getting proof on the Voidbringers to help combat the coming True Desolation. When she was finally able to come back from Shadesmar, the world had moved past the use of all that she had devoted her research to. And I rather liked the way her "perfection" is used in RoW, both within the narrative and in a meta sense. Navani, Shallan, Adolin all comment on how Jasnah could've gotten it done. Dalinar and Renarin seem to have a more complete? relationship with her. People build her up both in the story and out of it, and the way she herself deals with her reputation was really quite interesting and iirc I commented on it a bit in the Rhythm of War reaction threads. And self-improvement is also the central theme of the Elsecallers, so I'd say that fits as well. But yeah, shoving dealing with Darkeyes... slavery / indentured labour / forced labour on her instead of Kaladin was not a great look. Nor was that meme-worthy stick figure of the patriarchy. Instead of actually dealing with those themes, and her character is actually well-set to deal with the latter, so idk why that scene even existed, hilarious sure but pretty meh. Really, I don't know what to tell you. Right now, Jasnah is representing a lot of things to a lot of people, but she's not a well-developed character as of yet, we haven't really explored her. She is the atheist and the woman in the patriarchal society and the utilitarian, and those are the things that people are enjoying and talking about, the things she represents.

Feruchemy isn't normally powered by either of the Shards. Getting it powered by a Shard is what Compounding does. And Compounding is not copying another magic system - which is a magic system that is also connected to the same Shard and is native to the same Shardworld unlike BioChromatic Breaths and Awakening - it's hooking a powerline via a different magic system: it's using Allomantic power as fuel to boost the Feruchemical charge.
