  1. I like rep updates, heck we had a short RP on it! I just can't resist a screenshot when the numbers (on rep or post count) align into palindromes and such, very satisfying Rant posts, done em Long personal updates or just accidental chat thread on status updates... guilty I try to wish people I've chatted with a bit Happy Birthday if I can It's all fun, I'd say, just have fun, you don't need to impress anyone! Don't get the social media fever! (Well, feel free to feel smug about a good rep count, that's just human and it's fun!)
  2. Surgebinding because A) magic (baseline abilities from inhaling Stormlight) B ) magic (Surge A) C) magic (Surge B ) D) comes with a friend! I'm not entirely sure about that last part, the spren could be not nice. Privacy would be a factor. Hmm... but the Nahel Bond isn't as bad as some other fantasy magic via bonds to magical creatures. I guess it might depend on my hypothetical potential Bondmate. Sandmastery is so limited. Do not want to be a Dakhor Monk or a Bloodsealer, way too morbid. ChayShan seems pretty limited too. Forgery is nice, but honestly, Surgebinding just has a wow factor to it! Awakening comes with the Heightenings, of course, and that's nice but I'll still prefer the Surges, giving up parts of my Breaths to animate something sounds like it'll feel terrible, don't like the idea of collecting Breaths at all either if that's a consideration in this hypothetical scenario. The Metallic Arts are cool too but again, I would prefer Surgebinding, maybe being Fullborn might tempt me. I'd pick AonDor when someone cracks using it off of Sel perhaps, but before then, it's definitely Surgebinding! 1st choice: Surgebinding (depending on how I get along with my spren) 2nd choice: AonDor 3rd choice: Feruchemy 4th choice: Allomancy 5th choice: use Hemalurgy to get all of the above four! Mwahahahahaha!
  3. Bruh... that's horrifying
  4. Granted! @Truthless of Shinovar, I'm afraid you've been... selected by a purveyor of some fine tastes I wish for Brandon Sanderson, Andrew Rowe, John Bierce collaboration crossover novels, goddammit!
  5. Okay, that is heccing cool!
  6. Adolin, I found him annoying and obnoxious throughout the first two books. Really him & Shallan made WoR as bad as (Mistborn) for me. I just hate romantic subplots in general and the way they interacted with Kaladin did not help their case. I started liking Adolin only after the OB Shadesmar sequence. And I like him even better in RoW.
  7. Kal & Tien in RoW, as well as Eshonai's end "you wanted to see what was beyond the next hill, see it all", also the story of the Dragon and the Dog. Might be because the book's still fresh in my mind...
  8. The Threnodite System?
  9. Oo interesting. He seemed to choose, but no confirmation like with the TLR and Vin. Besides, the Beyond does seem to actively draw people to it, so he might just have been exhausted and/or accepted his fate, rather than actively choosing.
  10. The Leras we meet was an already fraying Cognitive Shadow and Ati did leave behind a Cognitive Shadow, he just chose to pass into the Beyond after asking "Vax?" and getting decked. The part of Rayse that got attacked seemed to have been primarily in the Cognitive and the Spiritual, given that it happened in a Vision. And Nightblood attacks on all three Realms so even the Physical aspect was badly damaged. It's the Cognitive part that becomes a Cognitive Shadow and it got eaten, so no, I don't think we need to worry about Rayse.
  11. Granted, the world explodes, no more world, no more war I wish for the ability to yeet politicians into the void
  12. I don't think we have enough extracts of the languages (the languages, not the scripts) to be able to do that yet. We mostly only have a few names, and that only gives us the Rosharan language sounds.
  13. Yes, that plus in RoW, we get this: Thought do note that all Cultivation-aligned spren seem to refer to her as "Mother", and it is possible that Cultivation "remade" the Nightwatcher, as Sja-Anat might put it, instead of literally creating her, but the dialogue with Wyndle does make it seem like Cultivation did the latter. We already know that Honor and Cultivation created the Sibling, so we have a precedent, so to speak.
  14. Granted but Argus' pet cat eats it I want to teach dogs to wield swords so they can go all Dark Souls
  15. Granted, but you'll have to share your room with your most annoying cousins very, very often I wish for a djinni's lamp
  16. Granted, here you go I wish for a Harry Potter wand that I can use
  17. From what we see of Mistspren, they seem sort of fascinated with the human experience. The chosen Truthwatchers that we know of make sense from that one bit of characterization that we've seen so far from their spren. The Stump and the Cobbler were a bit more Edgedancer than Truthwatcher but they did have philosophies and life stories that would've fascinated the Mistspren. The Radiant spren don't always look for people that epitomize their Radiant Orders, sometimes they just see someone in some suitable position, compatibility or someone who needs help or who they think could make good use of the power. But there's definitely a lot more to Truthwatchers, we still don't definitively know what it is that they see, why they're called Truthwatchers nor why they were placed at the centre in the Radiant Orders chart.
