What about the skybreakers that come to help at the end of TLM? Also in TLM a while has passed since the Iriali population has settled in Scadrial.

"I continued on my way, contemplating dust and the nature of desertion." Should it have been 'Dust'?...we know Hoid was off planet at a critical juncture in Rosharan past. Would Nohadon/Honor consider this as desertion?

I was rereading WoK and came across a couple of lines I found interesting. I understand that the word 'night' does not stand out in Italics or capitalised to signify a noun, but still it jumped out after reading the WaT sample chapters. It happens during Jasnah' demonstration of her powers to Shallan for the first time in Kharbranth. When both are walking along the dangerous alleyway where multiple murders had happened in a span of two months. " They walked the Ralinsa—the main thoroughfare that led down the hillside in switchbacks, connecting Conclave and port. Despite the late hour, the roadway was crowded, and many of the men who walked here seemed to bear the night inside of them. They were gruff er, more shadowed of face. Shouts still rang through the city, but those carried the night in them too, measured by the roughness of their words and the sharpness of their tones." What do you guys think? Is there a possibility that the og god spren of Roshar disappeared and now lives in the heart of men? Nightwatcher was created to monitor this maybe. To look into the hearts of men and gauge the amount of 'night' is there in their hearts and grant boons and curse thus she can understand humans better.

The Stone in Szeth's pasture is described as 'Orange - Red' in colour and stone is emerging out of the soil. As in the stone is pushed out to the surface from the core. I wonder if the 3 moons of Violet, Blue, Green were pushed out of Roshar in apocalyptic events of the past and if Roshar would have a 4th moon in the future with the colour 'Orange-Red' thus completing the visible light spectrum of VIBGYOR.

I saw something interesting while re-reading random pages of RoW as posted below: Sja-Anat mentions wanting to see the cousin (Sibling) and awaken them in RoW interlude. Her form is black smoke with pure white eyes....full moon on a dark night? Also Sja-Anat herself wonders even though she might not be as 'clever' as other unmade like BAM, she considers herself to me one of the most intelligent Unmade. Also she is the mother of 'lesser sprens'... The 3 Old Magic gods were supposed to be of Wind, Stone and Spren. Maybe Cultivation created Nightwatcher to be entirely different and alien to human imagination so that she is not affected by human perceptions of spren which was what happened to the original 'Night' Old Magic god. -
If it was Shadesmar, it would have been worded such that Rosharan CR would have been implied as the readers are already acquainted with Shadesmar. But in TSM it's mentioned that Sig meets Aux in 'another world'. Also while talking about how common space travel is becoming in TSM times scale, Sig thinks about how before space travel, people used to travel through CR ('dimensions' are mentioned). So Shadesmar of different worlds are mentioned as Dimensions. Thus I think this another world is actually a different world and not Shadesmar.

Sig bonds with Aux not on Roshar but on some other planet with a lot of obsidian as mentioned in TSM

Random thought... We see Taravangian becoming Odium. In letters between Frost and Wit, we see frost mention 'Rayse being a bad person doesn't matter as the Intent of shard far outweighs the mind of the Vessel holding it long term. The greatest danger is when a crafty mind possess the power of a Shard. This situation is the very thing happening now. As Mr. T picked up Odium Shard, the power of the shard is being manipulated by a very crafty mind and the power would be more controlled by the mind in the starting days. So this is exactly the time to control the Shard of Odium by other shards if they were to ever act in opposition to Odium. With Frost being unworried about Rayse we need to consider communication of plans between the two Dragons Frost and Cultivation. We also know from book readings that in the future of Cosmere one faction in space age is going to be Roshar. Taravangian' mind wants to end suffering of Roshar and wants to ideally save everyone on it and has the arrogance to assume to make it possible even after gaining the Shard. We also see not everyone can pick up on the change in Vessel of Odium instinctively even if they are highly Invested like Hoid. 1. Adonalsium himself created primordial Sprens on Roshar along with Dawnsingers. 2. These spren include spren of Wind and Storms. This storm Spren did not have sentience and did not have Stormlight giving ability. 3. Adonalsium shatters and shards of Honor and Cultivation settles on Roshar. Dawnsingers accept them as Gods. 4. At a later time Odium arrives in the Rosharan system probably chasing Wit who was known by the Heralds ( original occupants of Ashyn) by a different name. 5. Ashyn is destroyed and humans reach Roshar and is given the land of Shin by Dawnsingers. 6. Humans has a population boom and starts taking more land. With more souls praying to them as Gods, Honor and Cultivation becomes the 'Gods' of humans. 7. Thus a God who reached later in Roshar became the God of the original population of Dawnsingers manipulating the passion of betrayal from Honor and Cultivation who was more benevolent to humans like they themselves align more with. 8. Heralds are created and Honorblades( Honor's splinters) too. Multiple desolations happen and finally just before Honor's vessel died, the cognitive shadow of Tanavast merged with Stormfather. 9. When multiple POV characters get caught in the highstorm, they see a Face who is the Stormfather and another being of massive proportion walking inside the storm 10. Odium would certainly win the Contest of Champions. Dalinar would get hold of all the Honorblades, manifest Tanavast as a Blade and Unite it with all Honorblades. 11. But Odiums champion would be Adolin and Dalinar would loose that fight. 12. Adolin will take the blade of Honor. Will become basically King of all Roshar henceforth wielding both the powers of Odium and Honor (WAR?). His dad Dalinar would be his best general Conquering/ Campaigning in the name of Odium & Cultivation throughout Cosmere. Cultivation with the power of Odium (with the crafty mind of Taranvangian harnessing its powers before the Intent of the Shard takes over long term) and and Honor harnessed would be Scary indeed. A possibility of all three Shards merging into one Shard should also be considered. What is WAR+CULTIVATION=CONQUEST? 13. This incident could be the trigger required to catapult the Cosmere towards the space age race and Conquest of the Cosmere war in the future.

Theory about the author of the Epigraphs
Wyndle88 replied to Friendshipspren's topic in Stormlight Archive
Could it be His Majesty Yanagawn writing this? In Azir, education is a merit. Yanagawn has been slowly educating himself with his tutors over his character arc in the series. The latest chapters shows us that Yanagawn feels 'Is this what I'm meant to do' as he pretends to sleep for the benefit of the 10 onlookers. So I can see him writing about the events and he might fit the requisite requirements to be the author from the clues left. -
If one is invested enough to achieve 'Perfect Pitch' then their snores would come out as whistles. Not snoring but a whistling while sleeping spouse would be equally annoying!

Cultivation has much more enhanced future sight than any other Shards we know of until now. The only contest regarding this was between Odium and Cultivation until now and ever since Mr. T ascended we know Cultivation is much better at future sight. With Honor dead (Tanavast) and Odium alive maybe WAR would have been the natural conclusion. But with Rayse a hateful man dead and a crafty mind behind the Shard of Odium, Mr. T with a capacity of understanding emotions might just evolve merging with Honor might produce an entirely different result than anticipated. Cultivation being better at foresight and engineered the switch of Rayse to a person she selected and pruned might make one wonder if a merge of Odium and Honor might result in LOVE instead of WAR, which might align more with Cultivation long term plans for the future. Odium is afterall Adonalsium's 'Divine Hatred/Passions' and mixing that with 'Divine Honor' would bring about LOVE maybe? Sorry for the ramble!

Hey everyone, Long time lurker. Only few posts by myself. So I had a theory. Perfect gemstones cannot be created through human endeavours. We see that when Navani checks for spren in Shadesmar of Soulcasters, she finds unmoving spren there. In Venli we see her Nahel bond spren capturing the void spren and holding it captive inside enabling her to access both stormlight and voidlight powers. I think to create a perfect gemstone 'a living spren has to sacrifice itself to transform into a perfect gemstone'. Honorspren has a whole treasury of perfect gemstones. Maybe all the past honor spren who chose to become a gemstone than a sword for people to swing around and trap void spren forever inside them'.

Wind and Truth: What is the loophole? [Discuss]
Wyndle88 replied to r0cketm00se's topic in Stormlight Archive
If Dalinar ends up fighting the contest himself, i cant wait to see Stormfather becoming a Shardblade. -
Hello my favourite peeps, I had a thought. We now that Adonalsium was shattered by 16 individuals a long time ago using 4 Dawnshards. Each of these individuals picked up 1/16th of Adonalsium and Ascended to being SHARDS. They had certain agreements in place and they left for their individual pursuits henceforth. We also know Hoid was present at the Shattering. He was offered one of the 16 and he refused ( maybe he was offered one he didn't particularly want). But we know that he was the holder of a dawnshard for a long time ( maybe even since the Shattering ). This particular Dawnshard is unique in the way how it alters the user's spirit web so that he can't cause harm ( I would say the irl Gandhi among the dawnshards preaching non violence etc. ). I further think the 16 stipulated Hoid to be the bearer of non violent Dawnshard to ensure their own safety fearing Hoid would use offensive Dawnshard to attack one or more of the 16. I also assume Frost to be another character present at the Shattering and could have possibly picked up another Dawnshard , maybe an attacking one. Maybe this is the reason none of the Shards had tried to claim Token as Frost is waiting there with a Dawnshard in case some Shards get the wrong idea. Now I'm thinking who took over the remaining 2 Dawnshards? Did one of the 16 take up dawnshards as well? I hope this is the correct part of the forum to discuss this. Any thoughts? Plausible? Cheers guys

In TotES, Wit explains how it takes true competence to feign spectacular incompetence and how that is the explanation for anything he ever does wrong. Does that include the epilogue of RoW I wonder?
