  1. I don’t think Taravangian actually saved anyone in Kharbranth. He’s fooling himself.
  2. It’s probably that I need to reread the TLM, but I don’t remember much other than that “if you count Roshar” throwaway line? Im not sure how it would work time-dilation wise, but Hoid was already Wax’s coachman by The Bands of Mourning right? That would put the events on Roshar several Scadrial years before TLM, if I’m seeing things clearly. So maybe it is old news by then, which would kinda make sense. the only thing I can remember without cheating aka the copper mind is that some (I think?) sky breakers randomly showed up to help sink ships at the climax of TLM, but wanted to be extra sure about the legality…
  3. Cross posting a question: One thing that’s bothering me from a Cosmere perspective - the events of this book are so cataclysmic, but we have at least 2 Mistborn books and probably others Im not thinking of that are chronologically after SL1-5. in light of that it kinda makes 0 sense to me that Cosmere aware characters don’t bring up the events at all, even obliquely? It would be a huge topic of conversation for anyone who knows anything about the shards, no?

  5. I took it to mean any surge of Roshar since he was talking to almost all of the honorblades through the Shinovar arc. He asks them to dull themselves to not cut through the cloth they’re being held in, and goes from there, presumably.
  6. Autonomy would fit the bill IMO
  7. He notices but quickly moves on because he’s got, ya know; kind of a lot going on at the time
  8. What if Valor is hiding on the shattered plains and Retribution’s well of power blinds him to her presence there?
  9. No, Szeth comments something to Kaladin’s corpse about being killed by Ishi.
  10. I forget the exact spot but she thinks about it and caresses her abdomen after being stranded in Shadesmar Edit: chapter 147, she “cradles” her stomach after realizing she can’t get back, then a few lines later thinks with determination that she will survive, “not just for herself..she had to.”
  11. Yeah I think that’s why this time period was also prophesied as the night of sorrows…basically the entire continent (planet?) is in perpetual night under the Everstorm.
  12. I think I would have liked this book even more if I knew the next installment wasn’t conceivably be after I die. That out of the equation, it’s a great Stormlight book. Not perfect or near perfect like WoK or WoR, but Oathbringer level for me. Setting up the Ghostbloods civil war was cool. I’m always down for more Kelsier. Probably a dumb question but since we saw Hoid becoming Wax’s coachmen, safe to assume Stormlight 1-5 happen before Shadows of Self, Bands of Mourning and the Lost Metal?
  13. Yeah, I’m playing on PC, so not sure. I like the game overall so far!
  14. Playing Tales from Arise.
