Algorath stared back into Jürgen's eyes with a gaze of steel. "I was speaking logistically to the man who gave you these gloves," he growled holding up the gloves, "I am far superior to him physically. It's a matter of logistics that I can run faster, jump higher, and kill more efficiently than him over there." He turned to the girl and the bloodhound that had just wandered in, "Are you mocking me? I could leave this all right now, but you would not find a better hunter than I." The suggested discussing it outside, and Algorath snapped, "No, I will work this out where all can hear." @Sorana @Chasmfiend#1 @Steel Inquisitive @Invocation

"The limitations I put on hemalurgy are completely constitutional," Keleth said, "And just put a few safeties on a deadly art." Keleth pulled out the scroll again, and quoted the section on hemalurgy: Spike-outs shall only happen to the terminally sick and the elderly. Spike-outs may also happen to those signing a form produced by the government. Form: Spike-ins must be accompanied by a copper spike to keep mental stability. Spike-ins may happen to anyone, as long as they are in accordance with hemalurgy laws. Spike-ins may not result in death. "As you can see," He continued, "The laws on hemalurgy let the DA take anyone terminally sick or elderly without permission, and everyone else with permission. They may also perform spike-ins on anyone they find, without discrimination. All these do is prevent insanity and unnecessary deaths."

Algorath took the gloves, but instead of sniffing them, looked Jürgen in the eye. "I'm not your bloodhound. I do not follow your orders, and I will do this only because I want to, not because of what you want." He then took it, sniffed, and nodded, as if committing the scent to his memory. He addressed the rest of the group, "I caught a scent of this in the slums––" the man who had the victim's gloves cut him off, "I'm sorry animal, but Dorren wasn't one of them. He lived up here with the normal pe––" Algorath silenced him with a growl. "Don't call me animal. I'm an Apex far superior to you. I'm not saying that your Dorren went there on purpose. He may have gotten turned around, or went there for a quick errand. The point is, whatever's been taking people had him when he went to the slums. It's obviously either to scared to come out to the city proper, or is confined there, or just want's to remain hidden. Whatever the reason, it's and advantage. We have a haven where it doesn't want to go, so we can take it." @Sorana @Steel Inquisitive @Chasmfiend#1

Keleth countered Doomhorn's point, "Hemalurgic limitations are the only thing keeping the city from dissolving into chaos. I thought they were reasonable, considering they prevent any unnecessary deaths. They also let the DA practice hemalurgy with almost no handicaps, just a little legal form and some mental stability spikes. Yes it would be a pain finding spike-out subjects, but any terminally ill would do. Donating your soul to the greater good is more heroic than lying sick in bed until you die in a pool of your own urine in the eyes of most Alleycitizens." @Darth Woodrack

Galvris also followed through the gateway, knife in hand. He prepared a weave of fire to defend Ciera, if need be. —— Necromancer stepped through the open door, and cast a look into the room. He turned to a random person, smiling, and that person jumped, spilling the drink in his hand. Necromancer's face was perhaps the most frightening aspect of his body. He was constantly shifting his age, his face going from grizzled veteran to a baby-faced youth in an instant. His face was in constant flux, constantly changing, skin growing, thinning, reforming. Hair greying, blackening, growing, shortening. It was disconcerting to look at if one wasn't prepared. As he walked through the room, he subtely aged everyone around him. Everyone in his presence suddenly began to feel tired, old, creaky. Once he passed out of range, they returned to their normal self. He walked up to the receptionist, slowly aging her to about 74 years old. He could only age one to within ten years of their death, where upon his power stopped abruptly. The receptionist looked in astonishment at here wrinkled and liver-spotted hands. Necromancer called her attention back to him when he said, "Excuse me, can you please tell me what's up with this job?" @Dr. Dapper @Ark1002

Once Galvris stopped grumbling that a gateway would've been faster, he actually enjoyed the skimming. He was getting the hang of the feeling of movement without the actual visuals of moving when Ciera addressed him. "Yes," he responded, "I'll try not to use it at the meal." He smiled briefly. @Dr. Dapper

Yes, he has to pretty much do whatever Ciera says. And the rules of engagement prevent them from double-teaming

Keleth pulled another scroll from his robes. "I propose we decide on a set of laws," he said in his most imperial voice, "A code so we can actually run as a governing body. Here is the list of laws, I don't have a penal code yet, but it will be ironed out eventually." He began reading a list of laws. Keleth read the laws out, and most of the reps, he noticed, fell asleep during the reading. "These laws are just the beginning, an incomplete beginning. These "Vargo's Laws" are completely up for debate."

Ok, I'll just have him be the way he is Sudiov Nerf or not. And Galvris is now a warder to Cierra, which limits his power a lot. @Voidus

Jorel thought they would stand there forever if someone didn't make a move. It might as well be him. Put them on his terms. He calmly put up his hands and said, "I mean no harm. I just need access to Corislain. Unrestricted access. I'm hunting down a dangerous criminal on behalf of the Jalien Government." He had his pistol underneath his armor to start firing immediately. @Dr. Dapper @Nohadon @I think I am here.

Taz fought like a wildcat, but it wasn't enough. Bill pumped the gun into several bandits behind him, but the gun exploded, sending shards of metal flying. One flew into Bills arm, dropping him with a grunt. Great, Taz thought, now I don't get a job. He dropped another bandit with a staff to the windpipe. He looked around, noticing none left. He sighed, dropping his staff. Then a bullet hit the dirt by his feet. He jumped, and reached for his staff when a gruff voice from above said, "Don't, unless you want your brains scattered over the ground." Taz looked up, and saw a man sitting in between two rocks with a rifle trained on them. "Seriously!?" Taz exclaimed, "You had a rusting sniper?!" @Snipexe

Dunno. Since the NPC's don't actually know what's going on themselves, I think not.

Algorath nodded when Amara wanted to ask for description. It wouldn't help. Algorath had seen the type of wounds that made that kind of blood. Their own mother wouldn't be able to recognize them, and if they did, it would be too late anyway. He was roused by his thoughts by Jürgen asking after his sense of smell. Algorath looked at the man, offended, but then realized that there was no way that the man would know. "Yes, my sense of smell is far above and beyond any normal human or ordinary beast on this planet. Almost all of my physical attributes are. Except for my looks." He smiled ruefully. @Sorana @Steel Inquisitive @Chasmfiend#1

Jorel's emotionless masked eyes calmly watched as the woman pointed a blaster at him and backed up. Inside the suit, he was a bit terrified. His suit could only take one hit before being compromised, and the woman's looked bulky enough to take two or three. He had but one advantage, and that was his cybernetics. If his inhanced strength and speed was enough to take him out of the way of the woman's shot, then he could use hand to hand to cripple her suit. His suit always modulated his voice so it always sounded calm and emotionless, but inside the suit his voice trembled just a bit. "I mean no harm, all I want is to hunt down this––" he was cut off by another man in a bulky suit. The man said, "Hey! You're a hunter right?" And ran over to him. Inside the suit Jorel smiled. Another bounty hunter. This man would be sympathetic. And if he wasn't, well, Jorel had fought through worse. He had his power pistol in his hand inside his suit, and was ready to deploy it to the outside. @Dr. Dapper @Nohadon

Jorel piloted his ship expertly through space. He passed through the Clark's Nebula running from some authorities, made a jump to the Thel System. Cut right through a Shorish Blockade, made a dump. Jumped out to the Jalien System, and guided his ship to the Corislain satellite. And he did it all without ever leaving the bathtub. That was the thing about integrated cybernetics. You could pilot your ship like it was an extension of your own body. A muscle. You could "see" with the ship's own sensors, fire the weapons as easily as balling a fist. Unfortunately, these cybernetics did nothing for your brain power, so you had to throw all concentration into piloting, which led to neglecting your actual body. This, of course, led to extremely long bath times. Still, as his imposing modified Kraken S-20 drifted towards Longpoint station, he reflected on the advantages of such a system. He dressed himself, and strode into the lights of the cockpit. The light revealed him to be a tall, lithe figure. Bald, with cybernetic tattoos around his head. These, instead of detracting from his appearance, actually lent his body some measure of authority. He sat down at the pilots seat, and at a wordless instruction, the ship drifted in to dock. He touched no control, and indeed, there was no control to be found anywhere in the cockpit. Needless to say, his ship had excellent thievery protection. As soon as his ship docked with the station, and the airlock pressurized, he stood up. At another wordless command, a wall of metal infolded him, and incased him to become a suit of power armor, iron-man style. The suit was also keyed to his cybernetics, which made it react like a second set of muscles. Inhancing and strengthening him, helping him in combat. He wore this suit always when outside of his ship, as his identity was important to him. When he donned this suit, he donned the persona of "The Mask". Feared bounty hunter. He opened the doors and stepped out, his magnetized boots sticking to the floor. He walked out, and into the civilian briefing room. In a mechanized voice, he said "Hello. I need to get to the surface. Private business." @I think I am here. @Dr. Dapper

Algorath also picked up the sounds, but discounted them as another disapearence. When Amara spoke up, however, he had to respond. "I've noticed at least two disappearances since arriving. I found evidence that both of them were either killed or mortally wounded on the spot, without making a sound or disturbing the scene in any way." He paused for effect, "Whatever is taking these people, it's dangerous. I don't think even I or Mutig could take it alone. I need my pack." @Sorana @Steel Inquisitive @Chasmfiend#1
