  1. Jorel smiled behind the mask. It appeared he had given her quite the ultimatum. Until a massive headache pounded his skull. He panicked as he thought of Yera hacking his cybernetics, and instantly told his ship to fire before he lost control and fell to the ground. The moments seemed to pass like molasses for Jorel. He dimly heard the stupid kid suggest a dance-off. Wouldn't need that in a few microseconds. The first blast ripped through the station a few levels below them, sending cargo shooting off into space. The second blast would come soon, destroying the pressurized cabins. Despite his brave words, Jorel really didn't want to die. His power armor might be good for a few hours in outer space. After a few hours, it would depressurize. A few hours wouldn't help him if he had no way to get to his ship. His armor was streamlined to where it had no propulsion system. He could eject his oxygen, but there would be no way to control his path, and without oxygen, he couldn't make it through the complex locking system of his ship. He could use cybernetics to fly his ship to him, but maneuvering it to where he was in front of the airlock would most likely melt him from the engine ejection. He could throw a piece of his suit, but his speed would be much to slow to reach his ship in time. He could find an escape pod before the room was destroyed, but there was no time. Countless scenario's rushed through his mind and were rejected. The second blast hit, destroying the rooms next to the briefing room, ripping a hole through it and sending it's occupants plummeting to certain doom. The third blast hit above them, and the helm was sent screaming through space. The fourth tore through the propulsion system. The fifth scourged the antigravity drive from the station, causing it's orbit to degrade. Like a sudden breath of fresh air, his cybernetics came back online. He gave the command for his ship to cease fire immediately, but the sixth was already on it's way, screaming through space. Headed right for the briefing room. The ship's degrading orbit caused the blast to just miss them, hitting to the left of the room. It pounded through the steel, hitting a cabin and tossing men out to painful death. Then all was still. @Dr. Dapper
  2. ¿Uhhhhh.... what does rázon mean? ¿Reason?
  3. No, el wordreference es mas mejor que el spanishdict.
  4. "Hmm, yes this complicates things doesn't it," Keleth muttered. "But since Hemalurgy was legalized by this body, I can't very well make it illegal. My only explanation would be that hemalurgy is exempt from this law. In this matter, my hands are tied." @Silva
  5. "Yes it does say that," Keleth conceded, "However, the edited version specifically referred to coercion. Since assault applies to anyone, no matter how they stand, I had to use a special clause for control or persuasion by emotional allomancy." @Silva
  6. Returned stood atop the mountain surveying the camps. The massive tribe of yetis had raided his fortress a few months back, and he had been hunting them ever since. They'd harried them all the way up the northern steppes, through the mountains, and to the Keeper lands. It was time to finish this once and for all. He had lost many men in the mountains from disease, cold, and occasional yeti raids. But they had adapted. They had used their full feruchemists to make heat medallions. They had been able to light smokeless fires, able to provide easy warmth using fabrials. They would continue to adapt and to pursue vengeance. He would protect his people. Standing there, atop that lookout, he had a sudden epiphany. His name. He had always avoided choosing a name as a returned. None of them felt right. After all, nobody really knew what he had returned to do. After he had found his way to the Alleyverse, he thought he had missed his reason. But standing up there, he found that he hadn't missed it. He had only just now found it. His purpose was a protector. He would protect his people, even going so far as to pursue vengeance for them. And, the Diagram willing, he would succeed. His name would be Stormbreaker, parting the storm for his people. Stormbreaker the fierce, god of protection. He held it in, so the scout showing him around wouldn't think him insane, but in private company with his council, he revealed it. —— Stormbreaker was about to receive an ambassador from the Keepers. This probably wouldn't go well. He stood atop the same mountain that. He had had his epiphany, and it seemed symbolic. A symbolic gesture. The same mountain that he had realized his purpose, he would fulfill that purpose. He turned to his faithful second/bodyguard/knight at his right, Edalb, and said, "I need you to keep this man here until he agrees with us. Use force if necessary." Turning to his faithful general/bodyguard at his left, Hasharan, he said, "I will need a report on the army after this. While the meeting is happening, stand in the doorway looking intimidating in your plate." He noted the approaching retinue, and fell into parade rest. Hasharan's elites, only a few of them, mimicked him. He would give this man quite a show of Diagramist efficiency. He greeted the man shaking his hand. He was tall, and his features were long. Very Terris looking. He shook Stormbreaker's hand, and muttered the formalities. He said "Most Holy" instead of his true name. Stormbreaker corrected him with a laugh, "An easy mistake to make, I haven't had my name for a while. But about after a millennium, I finally chose one. Stormbreaker the fierce, god of protection. You may call me Stormbreaker." He turned and walked the man into a small hut set atop the mountain. They had begun to settle in, and make a more permanent dwelling. @Ark1002 @beantheboy12 @rest of guild
  7. I think that the Mistborn RPG has struck the delicate balance that we should have. Perhaps our new site, if we get it, could be a bit more extensive, much like the shard itself. Archer had a great way of putting it. There are more cons than pros, but we can balance that out if we find the right combination. For instance, like the Mistborn RPG, we could have a link in the RP section. It would introduce a new hassle, and casual sharders would be discouraged, but the added freedom is a definite benefit. I'm behind this idea about 99%, again, depends on what features it has.
  8. Keleth perked up when Pry spoke. "Oh? Yes, tell me of this." @Silva
  9. *Emerges from Darkness, taking all win for himself*
  10. I like this idea a lot. The doing away with PMs would be nice, but PMs can also be useful for different things. Like a message between irl friends, or a quick chat about something. Another thing. Chrysts can be more organized in the new system. Sort of like reputation. So everyone can see you chryst amount when you post or on your profile. So transactions can happen between characters, or something of the like.
  11. Their chuckles grated against Necromancer like a physical blow, and he flinched away from them. For the first time, he had a inkling of fear. "Wait," he said, urgency leaking into his voice, "I can be useful! I'm a scientist! My powers are unique!" Even as he said this, his hand found the small handgun hidden in his sleeve. He held it with a sweaty, vice-like grip, ready to spring to action at any moment. @Ark1002
  12. Ahh, my mistake. It's only strong enough to allow objects smaller than himself to pass through him. He could still be crushed by something larger than himself, and this doesn't prevent fall damage. I'm going to have to nerf him, aren't I . Edit: @Voidus can you change Most Holy's name to Stormbreaker the fierce, god of protection?
  13. Keleth thought for a moment. "You're correct. It would be easier to just outlaw any harm to any other using investiture. But that would fall under the catagory of assault, so we could just disolve the investiture section altogether." He pulled out the scroll again, and read it off:
  14. Still, an Aes Sedai still has the power to compel their warders, as demonstrated by Moraine with Lan. He doesn't actually have a high epic ability. No automatic prime invincibility, just the ability to make himself incorporeal. Yes, Galvris is extremely OP, but he also has weaknesses. Being a warder, for one thing. Also, his massive amount of spikes makes him an easy target for allomancers, and his mental stability is greatly reduced. He also has a debt to Ciera for healing him, which I could make a weakness. As Necromancer can attest.
  15. Returned yelled a battle cry as he charged, driving the yetis from his homeland. This would not end here. He would pursue them to the ends of the Alleyplanet.
  16. Jorel looked about calmly. "I have no quarrel with you. To my knowledge I did not damage anything, hurt anybody, or steal anything." He looked thoughtful for a moment, "There is this power armor and my ship, of course, but that was years ago." While he talked, he activated the cybernetics connected to his ship. His ship pulled away from the dock, and hovered near the station. Jorel continued, "However, if you don't let me walk out of here, my ship is going to blow a hole through this station, pitching us all out to space. Are you afraid of death? I'm not, and I have no qualms with destroying all of this." @Dr. Dapper
  17. *Appeares out of the ash, fire, and mist, and randomly wins*
  18. Necromancer stiffened as the chains wrapped around his arms, freezing his face at that of a middle-aged man. No, it couldn't be. He was just a... a man again. He battled to keep his features under control, facing the two faceless men. "I trespass because I wish to. If I must not, then return me to the area near the door." @Ark1002 —— Galvris regained control quickly, and held the card up for closer scrutiny. It held a number, ostensibly Dwig's, emblazoned in silver on a white piece of paper. He thanked Ciera, handed the card to Alask, and sat down at the table. @Dr. Dapper @I think I am here.
  19. "Professional hemalurgy," Keleth said, "in my opinion, is any group, guild, or organization that does research on the subject. The Ghostbloods don't really make any groundbreaking discoveries, not like the DA, so are not really counted as practicing hemalurgy professionally. Keleth nodded his thanks to Pry, and read over the notes. He then pulled out his list of laws and made a few edits here and there. People did seem to have a problem with that one. Keleth supposed he couldn't blame them, it was pretty vague. "That law is being changed. Probably the only people who could tell the actual amount of investiture is the DA, but the rest of us must use more mundane means. I was thinking along the lines of the index. Anyone with an index score higher than that of another must not enter confrontation with the one with a lesser index score." He paused, reading the skeptical faces, and ignoring the mimes that flooded the scene behind him. He continued, "Confrontation can be defined multiple ways, not only a combat situation. Combat should be illegal between two individuals of different index scores, but so should confrontations of other kinds. This said, the one with the higher index score must not always be blamed. If the one with the lower attacks, and the one with the higher defends himself, it should not be he who is convicted by the law."
  20. Darkness nodded. "I'll meet you," he muttered in a quiet voice. He then straightened, and walked out.
  21. No no, that cookie is nowhere near as good as this one here: Cookie
  22. Ah yes. The most made fun of movie in the history of the motion picture, now getting a sequel, so we all can have new material to make memes.
  23. Darkness wandered in nonchalantly, and leaned on the bar near Malu and Jacien. Overhearing the name "Vesuvius", he decided to but his obnoxious head in, "Vesuvius? Yeah, real tough customer. Fought him once in a tournament. Shredded my arm and choked me out. Only guy I've ever fought that could withstand my blows." He raised a fist for a moment, and snapped his finger while tapping Kinetic energy, making his fingers move extremely fast and powerfully. He continued, "Not anxious to fight that one again. My advise is: let him go. He can't do much more harm to anybody else than he can to you if you antagonize him." @Invocation @Sunbringer
