  1. Algorath watched the exchange curiously. He had a vague sense of being attacked, but it was gone now. Curious, a mime.
  2. Stormbreaker smiled. "It's up to you what you choose to believe. I think these negotiations were a success. Yes we will accept your permission, and will not touch the other tribes. But, if another tribe gets involved, we take it down too." He picked up the small book, walked over to Edalb, and gave it to her. @Ark1002
  3. Sure I'm fine with this. I was just trying to speed things up a little.
  4. "Stormbreaker did not authorize that attack. The Space marines were acting of their own volition in that instance, and were duly repaid," Keleth defended. "The terms are generous, yes, but Stormbreaker is worried about the safety of your own people. If you insist on refusing our defensive measures, than we will accept the terms. But I urge you to accept." @Ark1002
  5. Oh. In my head canon we were already in the tunnels, which is where we found the thugs. I like the idea of the thing attacking us mid thug scene so we have to either let the thugs go to fight it or have them help us.
  6. Algorath started down the tunnel, shoulders squared to face this thing. Suddenly the shadows around him lengthened. Algorath cried out in alarm, but they were surrounded by a solid, writhing wall of darkness. He slashed his claws through it, but they just sank in. When he pulled them out, the wall reformed behind him. He looked around, and the wall began to slowly encroach. @Steel Inquisitive @Sorana @Invocation @Turtle373 @kenod @ZincAboutIt @Chasmfiend#1
  7. Keleth slowly stood up. This would need to be handled delicately. He addressed the marine, "The Keepers were allied with the Ghostbloods at the time of the attack. They have cause for remaining neutral, if not backing the Ghostbloods." He paused. This would not help his case, if handled clumsily. "If you may recall," he said, taking a deep breath, "I backed the Ghostbloods under Stormbreaker's orders. This is because we were allied with the Ghostbloods. Furthermore, Stormbreaker was away handling the Fortress Eternal siege, not close enough to the action to really identify with the Whiterose incident. All he'd heard was that a so-called "rebel faction had attacked the Church of the Whiterose". According to us, we were backing an ally in danger. So, under the circumstances, I think both the Keepers and us were justified by not directly opposing the Ghostbloods." He looked around at the assembled officials. "But I address you now. When my home and fortress was besieged, the only one who sent aid was the the Black Crusade. Despite the aggressors living on the same land as the Keepers, they did nothing to contain their neighbors. I'm not saying that they're responsible for the yetis, but I think it's safe to say that they could've at least sent a little aid. They have an army of feruchemists. Women and children were slaughtered in the initial attack. Innocents who's whole lives were their trade or farm. If it happened once it can happen again. All Stormbreaker wants to do is protect his people from future attacks. Not only will he win this fight, but he'll win all future fights with this campaign. So I implore you, if you do not strip their Greath Guild status, at least make them stand aside for our armies." @Voidus @Ark1002 @kenod @I think I am here. @Nohadon @Darth Woodrack @MacThorstenson
  8. Stormbreaker smiled. "Coincidentally, we also have a similar treaty with the Ghostbloods. If we go to war, they stay out of it." @Ark1002
  9. Oh yeah I read about that. Using the EHT telescope array right? Or is it called something else?
  10. "All I know," Stormbreaker said, "Is that midway through a battle, the tribe we were fighting was joined by rienforcements." He stood up for a moment, and crossed to the other side of the room. An aide tried to help him, but Stormbreaker waved him away. He walked to an small brown unassuming cabinet on the opposite side of the room. He opened the door and withdrew a small gilded book from it. The book was made of brown leather gilded in gold lining, with a small gemstone set into the back cover. Taking it carefully in both hands, as if holding a precious child, he brought it to the table, so to speak. Setting it down with the utmost care, he opened the cover with the pad of his thumb. On the first page it had these words emblazoned on the paper: He looked up at the representative and began speaking. "This book dictates everything we do. It is our most important work of art. A directory. It has never led us astray, and will continue to lead us in the right direction. The process of creating it is rather complex." He began pacing. "Each morning when I wake, I report my dreams to a scholar. I've done away with priests you see, scholars are much more useful. Anyhow, this scholar writes what I say. He and several others try to interpret, and they come out with a reasonable plan. After passing my approval, the Diagram is adjusted or added to accordingly. I then draw any images I saw on the pages where they would most fit. Then, the scholars edit the plan ever so slightly to accommodate this new information." He stoped and looked dead into the man's eyes, "This Diagram is never wrong. That is what we do. And now this Diagram want us to eradicate every yeti that came to us. This isn't just about the future protection of my people, but of yours too. If a band that large was able to find and attack us, how long is it until they attack you too? I only ask for cooperation." @Ark1002
  11. Yes kind of makes you devalue life a little bit.
  12. Guys I just found out a little something from an anonymous source. This is very special, and only those with the patience and willpower to open all of these spoilers will be privy to it.
  13. This is alright, but as a Diagramist-run thing, I suggest that you join the guild first. I personally would like to have you run it, I think it would go well, but I also want to keep it in the guild. @Nohadon
  14. Algorath smiled. After listening to the boys' fearful voices however, his confidence was shaken. "I think that we'll have quite a bit on our hands if we want to distract it," he said grimly.
  15. Stormbreaker nodded. The terms were reasonable. Reasonable, however, did not necessarily mean adequate. "You are correct in that one yeti tribe did indeed attack us. However, they were joined by another, and perhaps more. At the least, we must purge three. Then and only then will we sign a treaty." @Ark1002
  16. Galvris followed the coversation closely. By noting the Plasmacore man's behavior, he was glad he was in the void. He had a feeling that the DA women would have probably gotten to him. "I'm sorry to interrupt," Galvris broke in, "But I agree more or less with the DA women." His voice was cold, flat, emotionless. One could believe he was a monster with his power, his expression, and his voice. "I have no authority, and you'll have to ask Ciera for the final ruling, but if the Ghostbloods are going to back your organization, we need to see some hard proof." His steel gaze swept the room, and he continued, "I could give you my personal backing. My funds are vast from my time as a vigilante. My power is immense (1260 points without epic power or weakness), and will surely be a great aid to you. However, I won't support a listing structure. So give me a good showing." @Ark1002 @Dr. Dapper
  17. Stormbreaker turned to see the ten feruchemists. As he watched, three peeled off and headed for the village. The other seven provided an escort for the ambassador. Tough opponents, but he'd fought tougher. Plus, with Hasharan's elites with him, there was virtually no way he could lose this fight. In the days to come though... He grimaced. This would not be an easy war with no army. Hopefully that would change. "Hello ambassador." He held out a hand. "I hope you will be accommodating in our quest for revenge. However, there is one small issue." He pointed down the mountain to the smoking reck that was the space marine ships. "You will need to pay for that. Those men and ships were expensive. If you don't it will be considered an act of war." @Ark1002
  18. Algorath nodded. "I make a pretty good distraction," he said, "Most things seem to really hate me..." @Chasmfiend#1
  19. After a few minutes, Keleth realized what the DA had done was illegal, and some precursor gaurds hauled the Denizens away kicking and screaming. Or in their case, stolidly calm and emotionless. @Voidus
  20. Galvris followed the conversation closely. He had immersed himself in the void about halfway through so he wouldn't be overtly influenced by his emotions. "Yes mixed investiture is a curiosity," Galvris said, "I myself am a bit mixed. Courtesy of visiting two worlds." He took a ball of fire in one hand and a ball of energy in another. "Quite useful when one doesn't work." He let them both dissipate. "So what exactly is it that you're doing?" He asked the blue man, "Are you using hemalurgy? Forgery? Or something completely new?" @Ark1002 @restofgroup
  21. Keleth, after just finishing his dramatic speech, turned towards the smoke rings. "Ooo, pretty. I would love to give it a shot." He seemed to think about this, and after just discussing loyalty spikes, he decided to pass.
  22. Hey @Voidus and maybe @MacThorstenson, here's Galvris's new bio. In order to nerf him a little, I'll RP him so he will only do whatever Ciera tells him to. Also, the only thing you need to read is the "recent times" thing. Edit: I just realized that his scoring is 1260 without weaknesses. And that's just the channeler side, to say nothing of the epic.
