  1. Sounds good, but I kind of want to know how powerful his pack is. Are they normal wolves or are they affected by Natural magic as well? Also, how intelligent are they? Other than that it seems good, but do keep in mind that the current plot-line takes place inside a large city, so it might be good to work out how they'd fit in there, given that he likes to stay away from people. They're normal wolves. Maybe one or two are going on being beasts, but they're mostly just normal with an odd instinct to follow my character. Edit: In regard to @ZincAboutIt's post, since I apparently can't quote into an edit: Yes, I feel like he is a good candidate to notice or even discover what's going on there.
  2. Yeah, I feel like there's a lot of room for development here, with his identity crisis, the poor cooper, the Demgod, etc. I'm thinking of bringing him to the city, but he'll go to his semi-human form, and will mostly sneak around at night. He will be in almost perpetual terror from all of the magic, but I think it'll be interesting.
  3. HCan I submit a character here? I'm very interested in this whole thing. He's a more powerful character, but is also kind of non-combative.
  4. Taz, relieved, smiled. He was on the verge of stating his price, when the thunder of hooves was heard on the dusty road. The man Bill cursed and ducked inside, saying "It's those rusting bandits! They come every crop season, and try to take what's mine." He rushed out carrying a shotgun, and as he passed he signaled for Taz to follow. Taz ran after young Bill, unslinging his staff from his back. They stood by the gate to confront the dark men riding down the road. The bandits slowed their mounts to a canter, then a stop. They looked at the two staunch men blocking their way with barely-concealed amusement....
  5. The soul stealing think is a minor side effect, and the rest of the cookie is totally worth it! Probably wise. I spent my first few months enthusiastically posting everything and everywhere and generally making a fool of myself. Well, welcome! Take this cookie here, and I hope you enjoy your time here. And take an upvote!
  6. Taz nodded. The man was sensible, if not exactly accepting. "If not a band of mercenaries, then just myself. I can guard your lands as well as I can being just one man, and earn your trust. I may be a formidable fighter, but you could probably hold me off." He trailed off, but then a new thought occurred to him, "I could also do manual labor for you to earn your trust. I can't lift anything heavy, but I can do all of the customary farm chores, and even work in the fields a little."
  7. A voice from the dark recesses of the room whispers "Eat the cookies.... They contain no artificial preservatives..." After hearing Lunamor's dissent, the voice increases in strength "The cookies will give you power, honor, and strength... whatever you want..." Ahh... you're confused. This is normal, but unacceptable after a certain period of time. You must learn to accept any and all cookies, unless they're TUBA certified. It's not just cookies. We do pies, pastries, danishes, crescents, cakes, French bread, sourdough, dinner rolls... And the people are completely innocent. After all, everyone has an aversion to power until they get it...
  8. Returned chuckled. "Yes we will pursue them into the mountains. My men will be itching for revenge after this. Our militia, 100,000 strong, only took minor losses. Yes, we are weaker than we once were, but still strong enough to pursue the yeti scourge." He turned to Hasharan, "How long before the yeti's break and retreat? By your estimation?" @Grey Knight @beantheboy12
  9. Keleth looked around. "Is nobody going to discuss the Precursors? Because I have an idea. We need to have the precursors under the jurisdiction of three individuals, but make it so that a majority wins. That way, we don't have monopolization of a police force, and decisions can happen quickly." @Darth Sir Woodrack Groot
  10. Hands down Hoid. Possibly interview The Lord Ruler.

Sure, if you want to be pedestrian with your baked goods. Instead of other cookies, accept mine! It's DA certified, and tastes amazing! Here, take this complementary upvote.
  12. What if, in fact, I just won?
  13. Returned shook his head, "My man within the government has already gotten us reinforcements, and will continue to do good work there. I am confident in his ability to get us the necessities. @Grey Knight
  14. You should put what you have developed so far in the fist post so people know what they're dealing with right when they open it up @Darth Sir Woodrack Groot. Also, this looks cool. Is it a closed system or can characters hop in and out?

  16. Returned talked at length about extending the campaign against the ever-growing army of yetis. The disembodied yeti arm that hung on the wall behind his desk like some barbarous trophy really drove the point home. What it all came down to was this: They could survive inside their walls and steadily grind down the yeti forces, then pursue vengeance in the yeti homeland. However, the issuer of food and other resources was major considering that there was no town around the fortress to support it. The conversation turned towards frying yetis, but their innate poison eventually destroyed that theory. They would just have to secure a quota from the government. Returned said, "I have a rep down there at the government, and he is very politacally savvy. He can secure us whatever we need to fight this battle." @Element of Chaos @beantheboy12 @Grey Knight @Darth Sir Woodrack Groot
  17. Taz smiled in what he hoped was a disarming way (though it was probably more wolffish than anything) and said, "I got no luck with menial labor. Threw out my back working in the Burning mines. Can still fight though." And demonstrated by twirling his staff with the fingers of his right hand, "Need work, and John down at The Rusty Horn said you were protective of your land. Like I said, I need work, and you need a guard."
  18. Keleth sighed. "I suppose once the vote is done, we should focus our efforts on approving the Precursors." He said. "But first, we should discuss the wisdom of privatizing a police force."
  19. Taz thanked the man, and, after asking for directions to young Bill's farm, stepped out of the saloon. As soon as he was out of the oppressive atmosphere, be breathed a sigh of relief. He then used a bit of his dwindling water supply to hire a coach. The coach was only heading in the general direction of the farm, and was also carting several other people and a large supply of wood. Riding on the coach, crowded on the open wagon, sitting atop bundles of pine-scented wood, Taz had much time to reflect. The coach pulled by a bend in one of the smaller creeks, and Taz jumped off, noticing that this was a place that had been described. He crouched by the creek, and scooped out a cup of mud-laden water. He set it on a rock, letting the mud settle to the bottom, and pouring the water into his canteen. He then slung his canteen over his back, and set out for Bill's farm. It was nightfall when Taz finally saw the yellow light of a farmhouse through the sparse trees. Places like this, fertile enough to grow crops, were few and far between. This one certainly looked tempting to an ambitious Burn Lord or band of thieves. He would probably find the young man eager for his services. He knocked on the sturdy oak door and it swung open to reveal a stout young man who looked as though he was accustomed to fighting, and to hard work. Taz raised his hand in friendly greeting, and introduced himself. "Hello. I was told you needed someone to guard your lands. I'm in need of a job, and you're in need of someone of my particular talents. I can quickly gather a group of mercenaries."
  20. I'm sorry, I didn't realize this. Like you said below this ^, it all depends on their position relative to each other. If they're all facing away from each other, then they can move away just by walking forwards. What I meant by creating invested items is this: all items are invested just a little, but the higher the investiture gets, the more he can't clone them. For instance, he'd be able to clone some copper for a mistborn, but couldn't necessarily go around making an infinite supply of stormlight. So godmetals, plus investiture that can be harnessed by humans, he wouldn't be able to clone. The ignoring of physics only comes of one of his clones moving normally. If one is walking down a street, and another is walking through a wall, then the first one would have to completely obey the laws of physics. So it's not necessarily straight up ignoring of physics. He's slightly limited with what he can do by the fact that they can all only move in exactly the same way. This could hamper him when he has two clones doing two different things. I will add new weaknesses. The Tia card only goes to a specific location. It remains with one of his clones only (being too invested to clone). Any idea for a name?
  21. Keleth watched on with barely concealed amusement. Have your fun now DA, he thought, Because it will soon come to an end. The government building shenanigans were about to become a thing of the past.
