i like the home base idea, it would defiantly be Hoid's style. Plus it would give him a solid way to keep his eye on Odium, the thing he hates the most.

Sorry to side track, but what's everyones take on writing in deities? I'm having some trouble writing in the gods for my story. I know the age old advice, being vague and holding out on details on your gods make them seem powerful. I'm having a hard time doing this, as I want my gods to play a fairly large role in the story, without the scope of their power being diluted. Ideas?

Just transferred to a new base. I was working 6 days on 2 off, 12 hour shifts. Now I'll be working 5 days on 2 days off, 8 hour shifts. It shall be glorious.

Just bought Blood Song by Anthony Ryan. Heard good things about it. Not a huge fan of Grimdark, but Brian Staveley's Unhewn Throne trilogy was good, so hopefully this series is too.

For the love of Aleph, I hope book 3 of the King Killer Chronicle comes out this year by Pat Rothfuss. I don't think I've ever wanted a book to come out as bad as I want this one to lol.

Checked through Edgedancer, didn't see it there. Most authors do this though, as Brandon says, it's the iceberg. We only see a tip of the iceberg, but theres really massive amounts of worldbuilding information under the surface that never make the books. Sometimes authors just put tidbits like that in to add the appearance of depth in the world.

I always thought that the Shardplate was just just a doubled manifestation of nahel spren, like Syl being both plate and sword at the same time. Its a long shot comparison, but she appears as whirling leafs once, as in multiple leaves. So it could stand to reason that it's possible for her to become both plate and blade, splitting her essence. But I do like this theory, because if its true, its going to lead to a lot of cool encounters between Kaladin and other spren.

So for those who aren't aware, in the Google Play Store and the Apple App store, there is a game called Trivia Crack Kingdoms. It is, obviously, a trivia based game. Users can create whatever channel they want, and submit questions to belong in that channel. Channels like Harry Potter, aSoIF, and WoT have like 2.4k questions. Where as the only Brandon Sanderson based channel is SA, with only 90 questions and about 10 followers. So I was wondering if somehow, word of mouth or something, we could create a "Cosmere" channel, that would include all worlds and stories in the cosmere. I think an in-depth cosmere channel would be awesome if enough people help submit questions. The game is actually pretty fun, you go head to head against someone else. There are nine boxes, each box represents a question, and in one of the boxes holds a king. You answer the kings question, then you get a crown. First person to 5 crowns wins. There are other assorted things inside the boxes, that do different things.

So it is another Honorblade right? As Dalinar can't hear the screaming, as Kaladin doesn't hear it when he takes Szeths Honorblade?

Kaladin stretching his hand out and Syl appearing as a Shardblade for the first time. Number one scene that sticks out in my head.

There's also a theory that there were some outside forces, not the Nightwatcher, that influenced the diagram. This theory would tie into that one nicely. Old Tara's boon being the ability to have enough compassion to save himself and ultimately the world from his diagram, his curse.

Gold. This was something I was chewing on for a while, and that post helped fill in some blanks. As for this, I think Nale's actions in Edgedancer make this theory more plausible that it already was. With his reaction at the end, and how his dialogue is styled throughout the story, you defiantly get the vibe that he's broken and not who the Herald of Justice should be.

Yeah, I don't expect him to move the bar one percent at a time, which I think is better. Now that he's in his third revision, I think it'll be moved in big chunks.

I like this. Maybe they thought in shattering Adonalsium they would also get rid of this "evil" force, thinking that the "evil" force and Adonalsium had a "can't exist without the other" type relationship.

I think down the line when its time for the good forces of the cosmere to unite, the easiest way would be to have characters from the books be the vessels Shards. None of the original vessels would be alive, replaced by characters like Sazed. This would be an excellent way Brandon to bring everyone together, as I'm sure Shards can sense the presence of other Shards, they would see what over doom lies ahead and unite somewhere(vague I know, but it's a long way off lol). Then these new vessels would have the scenes that introduce their worlds to each other. Obviously, for this to work, their would need to be separate vessels, a representative from each cosmere shard world. So unless, it happens at the very end in order to stop the "evil" force, I don't see Brandon putting all the shards in one person, as this seems the obvious route. I do think there will be combo shards though like Harmony. Because if Odium doesn't get splintered, they're going to have to combine that shard with another in order to nullify it's mission to destroy.
