    Hoid and Spren

Also, there are other ways to access surgebinding without having a Nahel bond. I would guess Hoid would pursue those avenues before attempting to make a commitment like forging a Nahel bond.
  2. I've been binge reading the excel sheet that @Pagerunner made with all the WoB's (thank you again, you're a legend) and I came up with a question that I can't find an answer to (this seems to be happening a lot lately haha). Has it been discussed what type of genre the end of the cosmere stories will be? I know we'll be moving to sci-fi in a few years, but will the final books be a combo of sci-fi and old school fantasy? Like if the futuristic Mistborn world were to meet the end of book 10 SA world. Basically, has Brandon stated if all the important Shardworlds (Roshar, Sel, Scadrial, Nalthis, etc.) will be at the same technological level once we finally start seeing crossovers that lead to the cosmere's endgame?
  3. Appreciate it.
  4. I think there is more than meets the eye with that quote. Brandon has said a few times that he plays with some peoples questions, the questions giving him a lot of room to work with. I have a few quibbles with "not what we would call". I'm excited to see how it's going to play out. Also, side question thats been bugging me, are the Unmade and the 10 fools the same? Or has it not been talked about yet?
  5. Yeah, I just went a keyword searched "Unmade" on theoryland and you can totally tell that Brandon is being specifically vague and open ended with his answers.
  6. As the kids are saying nowadays "You the real MVP".
  7. Has it been specifically said that the Unmade aren't sapient? I always thought of the Unmade as Brandon's version of the Forsaken. Odiums strongest servants and what not.
  8. I thought this was because it was getting people ready for crossovers? Makes sense to start relatively small as to not overwhelm, and crossover two or so stories then build up from there. I swear I saw something that said Brandon is waiting for the "timeline to catch up".
  9. Yeah, thats why I said basically impossible. He just doesn't fit with the Windrunners ideals. Only reason I brought it up is because if Adolin did become a Windrunner, the banter between him and Kaladin would be hilarious.
  10. The conversations Lopen would have with his spren would be gold. Adolin. I know its very unlikely if not impossible, but I would love to see Adolin as a Windrunner. I think that would create an interesting dynamic between Kaladin and Adolin. Realistically, it would be cool to see him as a Dustbringer. Teft. Even though I think its pretty wrapped up that he's Kaladins number two, I think Teft would make an excellent Radiant. I think it would serve as the perfect redemption for him.
  11. Been looking for answer to this one, and haven't come up with anything on Theoryland, the Shard, or Coppermind. So we know spren based there bond with humans off of what Honor did with the Heralds. We also have a rough idea of that bond through the first two books and WoB's. In the fight between Szeth and Kaladin at the end of WoR, we see Syl transform into multiple "shard" weapons. A sword, spear, shield, etc. My question is this. In some piece of canon I might have missed, has it been discussed if the Heralds could manipulate their Honorblades in such a way?
  12. I think the 2 big things will happen with Adolins arc. 1, obviously, is what happened at the end of WoR. 2, Adolin talking to and bonding his blade.
  13. I can never really take authors serious when they discuss there wants for the characters future story arcs. More often than not it changes. Just the way Adolin has been discussed by Brandon in interviews and what not, and what has actually happened in the books, makes me think that Adolin is going to get a pretty big arc in the future if he doesn't die. But that's just my opinion.
  14. Yeah, I forgot to mention the butterflies.
  15. I've always pictured in my head that when someone goes to see the Nightwatcher they enter a sort of grove. With trees everywhere and it being twilight 24/7. Then the person goes up to a reeeealllyyy old oak tree, and the Nightwatchers voice comes from all around the forrest, as she is the forrest. And the person keeps seeing a dark shadow flint in between the trees as the Nightwatcher speaks.
  16. They dead. (Literally, as well)
  17. Follow up, least favorite cosmere story and why? Btw, cheers mate, happy birthday.
  18. Favorite cosemere work and why?

    Unmade

I've been looking on Theoryland and on Coppermind, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer. Are the Unmade actually confirmed to be connected to Odium? I know there is the theories out there that the Unmade are Odium's versions of the Heralds, but I can't find anywhere someone actually confirming that they're attached to Odium at all. Am I missing something? Or is this just one of those cases where Brandon is vague because we'll get definitive answers in the series? Thanks in advance for the help peoples.
  20. Yeah, listen to him. He said it a lot better than I did haha.
  21. I think it might be possible he misread the quote. I think what Brandon meant was that other shards besides Ruin and Preservation exist, but only those two shards are on Scadrial.
  22. I would say yes. Mostly because they are excellent books, and you see Scadrial in a whole new light. They're are some Cosmere tidbits scattered throughout the books, as well as updates on old characters. Another reason is that a bunch of new information about the worlds magic is revealed in the books. I recommend also reading Mistborn: Secret History AFTER you've read the first trilogy. That book has a lot of Cosmere wide knowledge.
  23. Welcome, have an up vote as well. I feel I am the only voice of reason when it comes to this.....DO NOT EAT ANY COOKIES OFFERED TO YOU.
  24. Ohh, I never knew about that. Thanks for the info, going to have to look up the scene.
